Abstract

Tujuan utama dari pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMA Luragung tentang konsep-konsep STEM melalui aktivitas project berbasis proyek, serta mengembangkan keterampilan praktis siswa dalam merancang dan membuat produk berorientasi STEM, seperti membuat sabun dari abahn alamai ataupun dari limbah rumah tangga, membuat produk ekoenzim dari sampah organik, Ada beberapa metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini diantaranya; observasi, pelatihan terstruktur, penggunaan teknologi, monitoring dan evaluasi. Kegiatan project berbasis STEM yang dilaksanakan pada pengabdian Masyarakat ini memberikan hasil yang efektif dalam memfasilitasi siswa secara akademis maupun sofskill mereka. Sebanyak 75% siswa sudah mampu melakukan aktivitas project dan membuat produk berorientasi STEM dengan baik, namun 25% siswa masih terkendala dalam hal waktu mengerjakan project serta membuat produk tersebut. Aktivitas project berbasis STEM ini membantu siswa-siswa dalam melatih keterampilan merancang project, keterampilan berkomunikasi serta kreativitas siswa dalam membuat produk yang bermanfaat serta memiliki nilai jual dimasyarakat.

Abstract

The current unresolved problems in education in Indonesia include the weak literacy skills and numeracy skills that occur in students. One way to measure literacy and numeracy skills is through assessment. One form of assessment is through the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) which is carried out in class. This study aims to analyze the correlation between AKM classes with logical thinking skills. The research method uses mixed methods. This research was conducted in 3 junior high schools in eighth grade with different geographic locations. There are 60 respondents in total. The data collection technique used by the researcher used a written test in the form of AKM class questions, and for secondary data was an interview. Quantitative data analysis was carried out through prerequisite tests such as validity, reliability, and discriminatory power, level of difficulty, normality test, homogeneity test, and one way ANOVA test. The results of the analysis of the AKM literacy and numeracy AKM scores show that students' reading skills and numeracy skills are categorized as being in the low category. This means that students are still at the level of knowing and understanding. For this reason, it is very important to increase students' reasoning at a higher level in order to realize the implementation of curriculum 2013.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan kreativitas dan pengurangan miskonsepsi siswa melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Munculnya tujuan tersebut disebabkan oleh adanya masalah kreativitas siswa yang masih kurang dan banyaknya miskonsepsi di dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran dengan desain explanatory untuk mendapatkan kedua data tersebut dengan memadukan antara pendekatan kuantitatif pada data-data yang bersifat angka baik peningkatan kreativitas maupun pengurangan miskonsepsi dan kualitatif yang berkenaan dengan pendapat dan tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran, maka instrument yang digunakan selain angket, juga ada tes, observasi dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik dan deskriptif. Setelah tahap metodologis tersebut, penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa (1) dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL, siswa mengalami peningkatan kreativitasdengan kualifikasi sedang, (2) dan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL juga siswa mengalami penurunan miskonsepsi dengan kategori sedang, (2) siswa merasa puas dan percaya dirinya tinggi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model PjPBL, (3) terdapat korelasi antara kreativitas siswa dengan penurunan miskonsepsiyang berbanding terbalik.Rekomendasikannya yaitu agar model pembelajaran PjBL diterapkan dalam pembelajaran untuk mengatasi varian kemampuan siswa, banyaknya materi yang harus disampaikan, serta keterbatasan alat peraga.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Student Worksheets Based on Augmented Reality that are used in practicum material on sensory organs. Currently, there are still schools that do not have a torso, so this Student Worksheet can be used as an alternative for use in practicum on sensory organs. The research was carried out at MAN 3 Cirebon from April to September 2022 in class XI MIA 5 as the control class and class XI MIA 4 as the experimental class. The research was carried out using the Research and Development (R & D) method and the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) development model. The research sampling technique is random sampling. The data collection instruments used were expert assessment sheets, tests, student science process skills rubrics and student questionnaires. The results showed that the average validation results from the two validators was 93.4% and the student worksheet implementation was 96.3%. Concept mastery has increased as evidenced by the N Gain results of the control class using ordinary Student Worksheets with torsos of 12.2% while the N Gain results of the experimental class using Augmented Reality Based Student Worksheets are valued at 56.6%. There is also a difference in the average value of science process skills, namely the control class is 74.73 while the science process skills in the experimental class are 92.62. This shows that the developed Augmented Reality-Based Student Worksheets can improve students' mastery of science concepts and process skills. Student responses to Student Worksheets Based on Augmented Reality can also be categorized as good.

Abstract

Student Profile Pancasila, is the goal in the independent curriculum transformation, This independent curriculum also strengthens the achievement of the Pancasila student profile developed according to the themes determined by the government, where to become an outstanding and productive individual in the 21st century, one must have global abilities and character in accordance with Pancasila values. The characteristics of the Pancasila Student Profile are: having faith and devotion to the One Almighty God and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical thinking, and creativity. Analyzing the Pancasila Student Profile is developed in the learning process, in previous research, there has not been a study regarding the analysis of strengthening the Pancasila student profile. This research is qualitative research, involving participation from high school students in the 10th grade, with a total of 8 schools, data observation with analysis using triangulation. The aim is to analyze the strengthening of the Pancasila student profile in the learning process, viewed from the teaching module with 5 aspects, namely: a) The arrangement of learning objectives according to the achievement of Phase E learning and including prerequisite knowledge. b) Understanding of Biology according to Phase E. c) Project-based or case study learning. d) Literacy and numeracy. e) The Pancasila student profile in the independent curriculum seen from assessment. The implementation of strengthening the Pancasila student profile in biology learning shows that there are still deficiencies in 3 schools, especially in the arrangement of learning objectives, which are not appropriate because the competencies in the learning achievement are not stated and the strengthening of the Pancasila student profile is not included. Issues in project-based learning plans and issues in the module are not contextual and the measurement of biology understanding is in line with the Learning Outcomes, but the presentation of questions is not in accordance with the revised Bloom's taxonomy. The implementation of strengthening the Pancasila student profile in the learning process is crucial in efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia in accordance with the needs of the times.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to enhance students' creativity and critical thinking skills after using a STEM approach with an online project-based practicum model on conventional Biotechnology courses. The research method uses quasi experimentation with the design of the pretest-posttest control group. The samples were randomly taken by 50 students, which was divided into experimental groups and control groups. Data collection techniques use critical thinking skills tests, questionnaires, implementation observations, performance observations and documentation.Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and average different tests. The conclusions of the study are: (1) The results showed a significant average difference in critical thinking skills between experimental classes and control classes after the implementation of STEM approach based on the PjBL model with classes that did not use the STEM approach based on the PjBL model in biotechnology courses in tadris Biology Department Semester 6 IAIN student Sheikh Nurjati Cirebon as evidenced by a probability value (p) of 0.015 < 0.05. (2) Creativity of students in the experimental class of the highest indicators on flexibility and original, while the lowest indicators are on the smoothness indicator

Abstract

The aim of study is to improve students’ creativity and critical thinking skills after implementing STEAM approach based on project based learning with online. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample used with purposively was 20 students, which were divided into experimental and control groups. Data was taken by using critical thinking skills test, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and the average difference test.The conclusions of the study was: (1) There is a significant average difference in critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class after implementing the STEAM approach with the class that does not use the STEAM approach on Environmental Pollution Material in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Dukupuntang as evidenced by the value probability (p) 0.015 <0.05. (2) Student creativity in the experimental class on fluency indicators reaches 82.5%, flexibility indicators 90%, originality indicators 90% and elaboration indicators 86.88%, with an overall average score of 86.88% which is included in the very good category.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and scientific literacy are known to be low because the learning process does not involve students so that students are les active in participating in learning. This research was conducted with the aim of improving students critical thinking skillss and scientific literacy on the concept of envinomental pollution. The research method used in this study was quasi experimental with a two group pretest posttest design. Sampling was done by using random sampling technique. The research sample was students of class X MIA MAN 2 Tasikmalaya City. The instrument used in this study was as critical thinking ability description test sheet as many as 13 queation, LKPD to measure scientific litteracy, and a student response questionaire sheet to learning. The data analysis technique used was t test with a significantion of the level of 0.05. The conclusion of this study is the effect of discovery learning learning models on students' critical thinking skills and scientific literacy on the concept of environmental pollution Bio Educatio Vol. 7 No. 2 April 2022 | 2 (experimental study in class X MAN 2 Tasikmalaya City in 2021/2022). The results of the study show that the Discovery learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills as indicated by the average gain value. This is supported by the response of students who gave a percentage score of 94% which indicates that the response of students to learning is very positive and really likes learning using the discovery learning model on the concept of environmental pollution.

Abstract

This study aims to gain an overview of the product characteristics of the development of Local Material practicum tools in elementary schools, which can help improve students' mastery of concepts and learning activities in learning how to live humans, animals and plants in elementary schools. The emergence of this goal was motivated by the lack of practicum tools in elementary schools, so that it became an obstacle when they wanted to do practicum. This study used a research and development (R&D) approach covering the stages of curriculum analysis and observation, product design, design validation, design improvement, small-scale trials, and usage trials. The usage trial used Quasi-experiments. The research participants were fifth-graders at SDN Indrajaya 01, 02, 03, and 04, a four-school elementary complex in Indrajaya, Salem District, Brebes Regency. The results showed that the use of Local Material practicum tools can help improve students' mastery of concepts and learning activities. The product is suitable for use where, according to student responses, after a small-scale trial is carried out, it receives a score of 3.04 on the Eligible criteria and the teacher's assessment with an average score of 3.22 on the Eligible criteria. The effective product improves conceptual understanding, with tcount = 2.77 > from ttable 1.69 at a significant level of 5%. Effective products increase student activity with a score of 88.80 in the experimental class and 76.69 in the control class. The results showed that the product development of Local Material practicum tools can help improve students' mastery of concepts and learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in scientific literacy and scientific attitude of students through practicum learning with vee diagrams on ecosystem material. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental with "static group pretest-posttest design". The research subjects were students of class VII in one of the junior high schools in Cirebon Regency. The sample is 65 students. The results showed that the implementation of practicum learning with the vee diagram was almost entirely carried out in accordance with the practicum stages. Based on the average difference test, the results showed that there was no significant (significant) difference between the average scientific literacy of students in the control class and the experimental class. The data processing techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing (t test). Based on the results of the analysis using Kolmogorov- Smirnova that practical learning with vee diagrams can improve students' scientific literacy on ecosystem materials. The results showed that there was an increase in students' scientific literacy, especially in the aspect of competence in identifying scientific problems by 85%. In the aspect of science attitudes, practicum with vee diagrams is able to improve students' scientific attitudes on indicators of responsibility for resources and the environment. Most students expressed a positive response to the application of practicum learning with the help of vee diagrams on ecosystem material.
