Abstract

Kaligrafi merupakan ukiran indah yang identik dengan perkembangan Islam. Hal ini menjadi tujuan dari pengabdian ini yakni membuat pelatihan kaligrafi mozaik menggunakan bahan alam di Pesantren Yayasan Bina Insan Cendekia Lukmanul Hakim. Dalam mengembangkan kreatifitas peserta didik di pesantren tersebut, pelatihan pembuatan kaligrafi bisa menjadi media yang sangat menarik para siswa dan tentunya pengajar di Pesantren Yayasan Bina Insan Cendekia Lukmanul Hakim. Kendala umum yang dihadapi oleh peserta didik adalah minimnya pelatihan yang dapat mengembangkan kreativitas mereka dan sejalan dengan prinsip mereka. Maka kehadiran pelatihan kaligrafi mozaik menggunakan bahan alam ini bisa menjadi solusi atas permasalahan yang ada. Kaligrafi sangat identik dengan pondok pesantren, selain memiliki bentuk yang indah, kaligrafi juga identik dengan nama Allah, Muhammad, dan surat-surat suci yang ada di dalam Al-Qur’an. Metode yang digunakan dengan menggunakan prinsip pendekatan teori dan praktik yang dimulai dengan informasi, proses pembuatan, pewarnaan dan finishing. Adapun hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah: (1) para santri telah berhasil membuat kaligrafi mozaik dengan bahan alam dengan sangat baik; (2) para santri mampu memanfaatkan bahan alam yang ada disekitar menjadi karya seni; (3) para santri memahami proses pewarnaan dengan sangat baik

Abstract

Kegiatan Diseminasi Penerapan Permainan Anak-Anak Sistem Putar (Odong-Odong) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan daya saing produk odong-odong melalui pelatihan, pendampingan bisnis, serta penggunaan teknologi modern. Kegiatan ini meliputi pelatihan teknis untuk pengrajin, konsultasi bisnis, pengadaan bahan baku berkualitas, serta kampanye promosi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan teknis pengrajin, perbaikan manajemen bisnis, serta peningkatan visibilitas dan penjualan produk. Namun, kegiatan ini menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan akses pasar. Oleh karena itu, dukungan lebih lanjut diperlukan dalam hal perluasan akses pasar, adopsi teknologi, serta peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya permainan tradisional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi persepsi masyarakat melalui edukasi berupa poster tentang aturan penataan alat peraga kampanye, serta meningkatkan kesadaran mengenai dampak lingkungan perkotaan dari sampah visual yang dihasilkan oleh media promosi luar ruangan, seperti spanduk yang dipasang tanpa izin pada pemilu 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara kepada masyarakat di Kota Makassar dan Kabupaten Gowa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pemasangan baliho yang berlebihan dan tidak teratur sepanjang jalan menyebabkan masalah sampah visual; (2) Banyak baliho yang dipasang tidak mematuhi aturan yang telah ditetapkan; (3) Persepsi masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa baliho dan spanduk yang dipasang menjelang pemilihan tidak hanya mengganggu estetika kota, tetapi juga berbahaya karena menghalangi beberapa fungsi jalan dan rambu lalu lintas. Penelitian ini menyarankan solusi berupa metode pemasangan baliho dan promosi yang lebih ramah lingkungan melalui poster edukasi, guna meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dan mengurangi dampak sampah visual. Dengan demikian, diharapkan dapat meminimalisir dampak negatif dan memberikan solusi untuk masalah yang terus berlanjut menjelang kontestasi politik di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Persepsi Masyarakat, Sampah Visual, Media Promosi Luar Ruangan, Pemilu, Lingkungan.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar curriculum emphasizes inclusion and diversity, but there is still a lack of adequate teaching materials that represent various aspects of local culture. Although the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum has provided freedom and flexibility, its implementation still faces several challenges that need to be overcome. One of the main challenges in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum is the lack of resources. This study aims to analyze the integration of local cultural arts in the context of teaching materials in the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. This type of research is qualitative. The data collection method uses literature study, observation, interviews, FGDs, and document analysis. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire sheet. The participants in this study were teachers and local governments. The data analysis technique used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the utilization of local cultural arts in teaching materials can strengthen local cultural identity and provide significant and relevant learning experiences for students. Therefore, the Regional Cultural Mindset (PPKD) can be an important guideline in developing teaching materials that are in accordance with regional characteristics and needs and meet the competency standards expected in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat melalui edukasi berupa poster yang menjelaskan tentang aturan penatan alat peraga kampanye. Serta memberikan kesadaran kepada masyarakat tentang dampak lingkungan perkotaan dari keberadaan sampah visual berupa media promosi luar ruangan, seperti spanduk-spanduk yang dipasang tanpa izin dari pemerintah pada pemilu tahun 2024. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif qualitatif dengan melakukan interview kepada masyarakat di Kota Makassar dan Kabupaten Gowa. Hasil peneltian menunjukan (1) pemasangan baliho secara berlebihan disepanjang jalan dan tidak teratur hingga menjadi sampah visual; (2) banyak baliho yang terpasang tidak mengikuti aturan yang ditetapkan; (3) persepsi Masyarakat terhadap baliho dan spanduk yang dipasang menjelang pemilihan tidak hanya mengganggu keindahan kota, tapi sudah berbahaya karena menghalangi beberapa fungsi jalan dan rambu lalu lintas. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran dan solusi berupa metode pemasangan baliho atau promosi diri yang lebih ramah lingkungan, melalui poster poster edukasi masyarakat agar kesadaran masyarakat ikut meningkat dan mampu menjadi bagian dari perubahan. Sehingga dampak sampah bisa terminimalisir, dan menjadi solusi dari permaslahan yang terus berlanjut menjelang kontestasi politik di Tanah air.

Abstract

The intent is to develop a valid, practical, and effective learning media model for creating three-dimensional applied artworks based on flipbooks at high school. This research is a research and development method that combines the ADDIE, 4D, and Borg & Gall models. This research was conducted at public high school 6 Bantaeng with a total of 25 research subjects of class XII and 1 art and culture subject teacher. The media experts' assessment yielded an average value of 4.3 for all aspects, indicating their high validity. The findings indicated that the assessment by the expert material validator yielded an average score of 4.9, placing it in the very valid category. The assessment results showed that art and culture teachers rated the practicality of the material with an average score of 4.8, which is considered excellent, while students gave an average score of 4.4, also in the excellent or very practical range. In the effectiveness aspect, the gain score calculation was carried out, and a score of 0.41 was obtained, which means that the learning media for creating three-dimensional applied art works based on flipbooks is in the moderate category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the learning media for creating three-dimensional applied art works based on flipbooks at public high school 6 Bantaeng is in the moderate and effective category.

Abstract

This research focuses on designing an educational application drawing from Passura Toraya Toraja Carvings in Toraja. This Toraja Carvings is crucial in strengthening cultural understanding based on their symbolic meaning embedded in curriculum context in Elementary Schools. In this research, a concept of application design is created to showcase the beauty of Toraja Toraja Carvings. Which can be implemented as a learning tool to support cultural understanding of elementary students. The method of this research is a literature review, by analizing references from Art criticism, Geometry, and Ilustration of Toraja Toraja Carvingss. This research results shows that an educational application with the implementation of Passura Toraya can be applied to education by emphasizing three main points namely; (1) Geometry learning in Arts and Math, both can be applied as a great source of learning in schools; (2) Ilustration of Passura Toraya consists of hundreds of Toraja Carvingss that originally four Toraja Carvingss which later developed as times goes by; (3)Symbolic meaning of Passura Toraya helps understand the meaning of Toraja Culture in Schools. In Designing an educational application, the main crusial aspect of design is creating the core of its application. Therefore, three main objectives are drawn to provide a more comprehensive learning experience in schools integrated with technology. This research does not specifically creating a website, rather designing a concept of a better application for learning in schools.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to explore the implementation of Differentiated Instruction (DI) in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of English language (EFL) learning in the Independent Curriculum at SMK Negeri 4 Makassar. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used to explore the perceptions of six teachers and six students through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that learning planning was not fully based on student profiles. Teachers used uniform lesson plans without differentiation of content, process, or product. DI implementation was carried out in a limited and situational manner, such as student grouping or peer tutoring assistance, but was not yet structured. Evaluation was still predominantly summative, without initial or formative assessments that could direct differentiation strategies. Teachers understood DI intuitively, but did not yet have a strong theoretical basis. Students expressed the need for more varied learning methods, according to their interests and learning styles. The main obstacles in implementing DI were time constraints, a large number of students, and minimal training. This study recommends teacher training in differentiation planning and formative assessment integration to support more adaptive and inclusive learning. Keywords: Differentiated Instruction, Merdeka Curriculum, Lesson Planning, Learning Evaluation, EFL

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu para calon mahasiswa yang akan mendaftar pada perguruan tinggi di Fakultas Seni dan Desain, khususnya pada Program Studi Desian Komunikasi Visual dan Pendidikan Seni Rupa dalam membuat portofolio mereka. Hal ini dikarenakan banyaknya ditemukan kendala pada calon mahasiswa baru yang kesulitan dalam membuat portofolio mereka. Pengabdian ini hadir memberikan praktek langsung pada beberapa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dan SMK di Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) yang menjadi kandidat calon mahasiswa baru di FSD UNM. Pengabdian ini menghadirkan contoh yang lebih detail disertai dengan video dan gambar gambar yang mempermudah proses pembuatan portofolio. Adapun target yang menjadi sasaran dalam pelatihan ini adalah para siswa-siswa atau calon mahasiswa baru yang berpotensi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan di Fakultas Seni dan Desain Universitas Negeri Makassar. Metode pelatihan ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan teori dan praktik dengan tahapan pertama yakni tutorial, pelatihan dan umpan balik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) minat calon mahasiswa di Sidrap cukup tinggi untuk melanjutkan perkuliahan di FSD UNM; (2) portfolio dari peserta didik memerlukan pelatihan yang lebih baik lagi; (3) kegiatan pelatihan ini hendaknya bersifat berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study investigates how generative artificial intelligence (AI) interprets, reconstructs, and transforms the vernacular morphology of Bugis traditional architecture. Using a qualitative computational mixed-method design, the research combines field documentation of twenty Bugis houses with image-based generative modeling using diffusion frameworks. The results reveal that AI is capable of reproducing prominent morphological attributes including the saddle-shaped roof, elevated stilt structure, symmetrical façade, and longitudinal spatial axis demonstrating its ability to learn visually salient patterns from architectural datasets. However, significant transformations emerge in elevation, materiality, and spatial orientation, driven largely by algorithmic biases toward modernist forms. More critically, symbolic and cosmological elements central to Bugis architectural ontology such as vertical spatial hierarchy, ritual thresholds, and carved motifs are frequently diminished or omitted, indicating AI’s limited capacity to interpret intangible cultural meaning. Despite these limitations, AI-generated hybrid forms provide valuable speculative insights into potential vernacular futures, suggesting that generative models can function as creative tools when guided by cultural expertise. The study concludes that generative AI offers meaningful opportunities for visualization and design innovation but must be integrated with culturally informed frameworks to ensure ethical and accurate representation of indigenous architectural heritage.
