Abstract

The increase in coronavirus cases in Indonesia increases the urgency of achieving herd immunity. In pursuit of this, the Indonesian government launched the National Vaccination Program. However, in some areas such as Semarang City, the vaccina-tion target has not been achieved. In addition, confusing information related to vac-cination continues to spread among the public, Kominfo noted that there are 1,979 findings of hoax news about COVID-19 vaccination, which is feared to deter people from vaccinating against COVID-19. Therefore, this study aims to determine the ef-fect of exposure to vaccine effect hoaxes and the frequency of communication with reference groups on the decision to vaccinate against COVID-19. The theory used in this study is the mass communicarion effect theory and refer-encegroup theory. This study used non-probability sampling techniques and took a total of 100 samples. The criteria for this research sample are domiciled in Semarang City, aged 18-60 years, actively accessing social media / having experience of being exposed to hoaxes. The results of the study with simple linear regression data analy-sis show that exposure to vaccine hoaxes has an influence on the decision to vac-cinate against COVID-19 with a significance value of 0.00 ≤ 0.01 or highly signifi-cant and an R Square of 0.149 or an influence value of 14.9 percent. Furthermore, the Frequency of Communication with Referral Groups has an influence on the De-cision to Vaccinate COVID-19 with a significance value of 0.00 ≤ 0.01 or very sig-nificant with an R Square of 0.173 or an influence value of 17.3 percent.

Abstract

Mayoritas masyarakat Indonesia kerap menyamakan transgender sebagai perilaku sosial menyimpang dan abnormal. Berkembangnya stigma kemudian membuat mereka membatasi interaksi dengan lingkungan sekitar. Stigma tersebut juga memunculkan hambatan bagi transgender dalam memilih pasangan. Oleh karena itu, individu transgender perlu mengelola stigma yang ada agar dapat memilih pasangan dalam hubungan asmara yang ingin dicapai. Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengelolaan stigma yang dilalui individu transgender dalam proses pemilihan pasangan. Beberapa teori yang digunakan mengacu pada Teori Stigma Management Communication, A Six-Stage Model of Relationships, Teori Gender in Interpersonal Communication, dan Teori Conflict Management Styles. Penelitian ini merupakan tipe penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dan mempergunakan paradigma interpretif serta teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh informan lebih berfokus pada strategi menghindari tanggung jawab dan mengurangi serangan stigma dengan cara menghentikan profesi PSK, mengembangkan keterampilan, aktif berorganisasi, serta menjaga perilaku baik kepada orang-orang sekitarnya. Meski sempat merasakan khawatir akan adanya kesulitan memiliki pasangan, namun seluruh informan waria pada penelitian ini telah memiliki pasangan lelaki nontransgender. Proses pemilihan pasangan oleh transgender ditinjau melalui tahapan pengembangan hubungan dari tahap contact, involvement, hingga intimacy. Selama pengembangan hubungan asmara tersebut, masing-masing informan melakukan evaluasi terkait hal-hal yang ia peroleh ketika bersama dengan calon pasangan. Hasil dari evaluasi menjadi dasar bagi informan dalam meneruskan hubungan dan memilih calon tersebut untuk dijadikan pasangan atau tidak. Secara keseluruhan, informan mengutamakan memilih pasangan yang mampu menerima identitasnya selaku waria. Namun kemudian, pada akhirnya mayoritas dari mereka tidak berkeinginan melanjutkan hubungan ke jenjang pernikahan.

Abstract

The pattern of communication is interpreted as a form of connection between two or more people in sending and receiving messages in the right way so that the intended message can be understood (Djamarah: 2004, p.1). What teachers experience during online activities in enhancing student learning development is that the majority of teachers feel confused at the start of online teaching and learning activities. This is because it happens suddenly, like it or not, it has to be done without prior preparation or training, be it teachers, students, or parents. Plus during the pandemic, many parents of students lost their jobs, so it was difficult for them to buy quotas so that their children could continue studying from home. Not only that, teachers also complain about not being able to create chemistry between teachers and students as it should be. It is more difficult for students to grasp the material presented online, this can be seen from the majority of assignments given to students, the average student doing is their parents. This study uses the theory of communication competence, theory of communication skills, theory of symbolic interaction, theory of conversational analysis.

Abstract

Sun Eater Records is a new independent record label that is categorized as one of the record labels that has an important role in the ecosystem of the independent music industry in Jakarta due to its highly adaptive capabilities in managing social media through its content. With the digitization of the music industry, there is intense competition between musicians and indie record labels to dominate the music charts in Indonesia, so Sun Eater Records still has to compete with other independent record labels in terms of maintaining the average number of streams of its music works. As a social media-adaptive record label, Sun Eater Records has carried out various forms of digital campaigns to promote their music. This study aims to describe the social media utilization strategy of record label Sun Eater Records in conducting digital campaigns for independent music works using Anne Gregory's guidelines for campaign planning steps. This research is described based on nine categories, namely Analysis, Goals and Objectives, Target Audience, Message, Strategy, Tactics, Timescales, Resources, and Evaluation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. There are three theories that guide this research, namely Integrated Marketing Communication theory, Information Processing Theory, and Uses and Gratification theory. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews and literature study. The result of this research is that the strategy applied to the campaign is to carry out the segmenting process and targeting process, as well as ensuring good coordination and integration between all aspects of the company's business. The implementation tactic was to divide the campaign into three types, namely pre-release, D-day release, and post-release, filled with organic campaigns, non-organic campaigns, short campaigns, and side content.

Abstract

Vocational education in Indonesia is still not comparable to general and academic education, both in terms of the number of institutions and the image attached to them. On the other hand, film is an effective means of building the subject's image as well as a battlefield for ideology to build hegemony. The problem that arises: what is the image of vocational education in the Reunian short film series? Another problem, how is the ideological battle in the short film series Reunian? The purpose of this study is to describe the image of vocational education that is awakened in the short film series Reunian. In addition, explaining the ideological struggle in the short film series Reunion. To answer the problems and research objectives, an analysis was carried out using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory and Gramsci's hegemony. The object of research is the short film series Reunian which is shown on the Youtube channel by Tim Diksi.

Abstract

Extra-Campus Student Organizations have legally carried out internal campus activities. Indonesian Muslim Student Action Union or Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia (KAMMI) is one of the Islamic-based Extra-Campus Student Organizations. Basically, there are no rules or legal basis related to the activities of extra-campus students in carrying out practical politics. However, each extra-campus student organization such as KAMMI still includes this prohibition in internal regulations, namely in the Statutes and Bylaws (AD/ART). This study aims to understand the communication strategy of KAMMI in the digital era. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research with an ethnographic research design. This study uses data collection techniques with interview and observation methods. This study uses organizational control theory to explain the communication strategy of Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia. The results of the study shows that the Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia carries out a communication strategy through planning, implementation and evaluation. The Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia uses a communication strategy with four organizational controls in accordance with the organizational control theory, which consists simple control, technical control, bureaucratic control, and concertive control.

Abstract

This undergraudate thesis examines about the grief meaning of the lyric in Shabon Dama, so the data that used in this research is the lyric of the children song "シ ャ ボ ン 玉" Shabon Dama. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning that contained in the lyrics of the song. Some stages was done in the analysis by the authors is the collection of library data is analyzed by using the theory of the structure of the poem to find the building blocks of the structure of the physical and mental in the song lyrics Shabon Dama, so after knowing the elements builder, it can helps the writer to know the meaning contained in the song using semiotic theory Riffaterre covering their undirect expression in the poetry, semiotic reading, and determined the matrix and as the supporting theory, the author used the theory of the grief meaning to prove that death is the background, the essence and spirit of the creation of the song. The results of this study are the lyrics of Shabon Dama is not just a children's song alone, but an irony on the lives of people in developed countries who seek to restrict the rights of future generations to live by killing the right to life of children in a modern way. And death is the basis, the main idea, and the idea of the author of the song in creating the lyrics of the song. Imagination of death is a reflection of personal experience that the author of the lyrics feel and see for yourself.

Abstract

Desa Werdi memiliki potensi wisata yang cukup baik berupa panorama yang indah yang terbentuk akibat proses geologi yang unik. Namun di sisi lain, Desa Werdi menghadapi permasalahan terbatasnya lapangan pekerjaan sehingga memicu banyaknya warga yang memilih mencari penghidupan di kota besar. Saat ini, di Desa Werdi tengah dibangun bendungan yang berfungsi sebagai bangunan pengontrol aliran irigasi. Di kawasan pembangunan bendungan tersebut, teramati kondisi panorama alam yang indah dikelilingi oleh perbukitan dan hutan yang asri. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, Pemerintah Kecamatan Paninggaran mengusulkan untuk dibangun tempat wisata di sekitar bendungan guna meningkatkan potensi wisata khususnya Desa Werdi. Tim pengabdian bermitra dengan pemerintah Desa Werdi melakukan analisis pengembangan wisata bendungan Desa Werdi. Metode yang digunakan adalah direct observation dan focus group discussion untuk mengumpulkan informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam penyusunan gagasan pengembangan wisata. rencana pengembangan kawasan bendungan wisata Desa Werdi dapat dikembangkan sebagai kawasan wisata berkelanjutan yang berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat Desa Werdi. Gagasan pengembangan yang disusun dalam kegiatan ini dibangun berdasarkan analisis kondisi alam dan sosio-ekonomi masyarakat Desa Werdi. Gagasan pengembangan potensi wisata yang dihasilkan meliputi perencanaan atraksi dan amenitas serta analisis keberlanjutan wisata dan dampak perkembangannya terhadap ekonomi masyarakat dan lingkungan.Kata kunci: bendungan, wisata, pengembangan, Desa Werd

Abstract

Proses pengungkapan diri anak yang hamil di luar nikah menemui banyak kendala komunikasi, hal ini dikarenakan kondisi hamil di luar nikah merupakan sesuatu yang menyimpang dan merupakan sesuatu yang sangat dihindari orang tua untuk terjadi di anak mereka. Dinamika pengungkapan diri anak kepada orang tua tentang hal sensitif dan menyimpang ini menjadi beban tersendiri sehingga menjadi hambatan dalam mengkomunikasikannya, hambatan yang dialami anak termasuk hambatan psikologis. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui proses pengungkapan anak kepada orang tuanya terkait dengan kondisi hamil di luar nikah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Teori yang mendasari penelitian ini ialah Communication Privacy Management (CPM) yang dijelaskan oleh Petronio (2002). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah indepth interview, dengan informan penelitian yaitu 4 remaja perempuan yang pernah mengalami hamil di luar nikah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hambatan psikologis yang merintangi anak dalam mengkomunikasikan kondisi hamil di luar nikahnya kepada orang tua. Adapun kondisi setelah kejadian, bagi anak yang orang tua nya menerima kondisi anaknya dengan kooperatif cenderung melakukan langkah- langkah perbaikan yang konstruktif. Untuk anak yang respon orang tuanya menolak kondisi anak, cenderung mengalami depresi dan tekanan serta adanya tindakan yang lebih destruktif yaitu menggugurkan janin. Oleh karena adanya hambatan komunikasi psikologis yang dirasakan anak, terdapat jeda dari kejadian dengan waktu pengungkapan kondisi anak kepada orang tuanya. Dari empat informan, dua informan melanjutkan ke jenjang pernikahan dan dua lainnya tidak melanjutkan ke jenjang pernikahan. Adapun pihak significant other yang mengetahui pertama kali kebanyakan adalah teman responden. Pada satu subjek, orang tua pertama kali mengetahui dengan kondisi tidak disengaja karena ibu responden melihat test-pack yang digunakan anak. Faktor yang paling utama memicu terjadinya hamil di luar nikah pada remaja ialah kurangnya kasih sayang dan perhatian orang tua, pergaulan teman sebaya, media film, dan kurangnya pendidikan seks usia dini. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, terdapat hambatan psikologis yang dirasakan keempat informan yang hendak mengkomunikasikan kondisi kehamilan di luar nikahnya kepada orang tua, ditandai adanya perasaan takut dan kecenderungan menunda pemberitahuan kabar besar tersebut kepada orang tua.

Abstract

The improvement of technology provides easy access to establish relationships, one of which is the emergence of online dating applications such as Tinder. There are various reasons to use this application, it starts from expanding relationships to get into romantical partners, that makes 210 million people active as users in this application. However, the increasing cases of violence such as sexting, cyber harassment to fraud committed by certain individuals who use online dating applications cause anxiety for the users. Therefore, researchers examined further to find out how the dialectic occurs and the strategies used by couples who meet through the online application Tinder in dealing with the dialectic that occurs. In this study, researchers conducted data analysis using phenomenological methods and in-depth interview analysis techniques. Then, the theories used in this study are the Theory of Relational Dialectics by Lexlie Baxter and Barbera M. Montgomery, the Theory of Self Disclosure by West and Turner, and the Theory of Social Information Processing by Joseph B. Walther. The results of this study showed that the informants used the dating application Tinder for several reasons such as curiosity, finding new friends to life partners. Couples formed through these dating apps go through a series of stages that shape the dynamics of the dialectic experience as a couple in a romantic relationship. Where it is also related to the concepts from internal relational dialectics such as connectedness and separatedness, certainty and uncertainty, and also the openness and closedness. Furthermore, to deal with various dilemmas in establishing romantic relationships through this dating application, researchers found several responses and strategies used by informants, namely by balancing dialectical tension, carrying out temporary separation strategies, and separation of segments in life. By using these strategies, informants can relieve relationship tensions that arise and tend to accept and use the opportunity to increase understanding between partners and also strengthen the closeness of the relationship.
