Abstract

The trend of online food delivery has become an inseparable part of Generation Z's daily life. Generation Z is the largest age group in Indonesia, covering around 27.94 percent of the total population in Indonesia. In the Southeast Asia region, Indonesia is the country with the largest market for online food delivery services. The high food consumption behavior in Indonesia is currently driven by the emergence of online food delivery. In the all-digital era, the use of e-wallets is also one of the most frequently used transaction methods. With the existence of an e-wallet, it will be easier for consumers to make payments when making buying and selling transactions on e-commerce platforms, one of which is through cashless payment transactions on online food delivery. This study aims to determine the effect of cashless payment preferences on food consumption levels with online food delivery applications among Generation Z, and to determine the effect of exposure to sales promotions on food consumption levels with online food delivery applications among Generation Z. This study used explanatory quantitative methods with a purposive sampling technique involving 100 respondents. The results of the study found that cashless payment preferences do not affect the level of food consumption with online food delivery. Meanwhile, exposure to sales promotions has a fairly strong positive effect on the level of food consumption with the online food delivery application.

Abstract

This study aims to determine individual experiences in managing conflict in romantic relationships when one of them has the habit of expressing feelings of overthinking a partner on Tik-Tok social media. This study uses a phenomenological method that understands phenomena from the lives of the perpetrators. The theories used are the Conflict Mode Instrument Theory, Communication Management Privacy Theory, and Relation Maintenance Theory. This study also uses interviews with four female informants who are actors in disclosing overthinking. The results of this study explain that each informant expressed his partner's overthinking feelings on the Tik-Tok social media which then triggered conflict. Conflicts occur because of differences in views, namely men who value privacy more by disliking negative relationships being uploaded to Tik-Tok social media publicly, while women tend to share content on Tik-Tok social media publicly that relates to negative feelings from dating relationships. Several styles of conflict management were applied to each of the majority informants using the collaboration style as an effective way to solve problems. In addition, the male party chose to give directions to the informant to reduce playing Tik-Tok by doing other activities such as watching Korean dramas or doing college assignments, and also preferred to publish only romantic content in his account compared to disclosing content. overthinking. In an effort to maintain a relationship, each partner always tries to provide what is wanted and what is needed by each, and implements five strategies for maintaining relationships in the form of positivity, openness, assurance, task sharing, and networking.

Abstract

Covid-19, which is caused by a new type of corona virus, was first spread through Wuhan, China at the end of 2019 and spread widely to more than 114 countries. On March 11, 2020, the corona virus was categorized as a global pandemic. Then in April 2020, several countries on the continent of Europe, Asia and America implemented lockdowns where millions of people confirmed to have been exposed to the corona virus had to quarantine (WHO, 2020). The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic so far poses a health risk to the community, has an impact on the economy and also the social environment. This study uses the constructivism paradigm. This research explains that the constructivism paradigm considers social science as a systematic analysis of socially meaningful action through direct and detailed observation of social actors producing and managing everything related to their social life. The results of this study are that the Transformation of Government Public Communication from Crisis Communication to Risk Communication must be carried out not only because of a request from the World Health Organization as an evaluation of government-run communications, but also as a form of improving the Indonesian government's communication strategy in handling COVID-19. -19. The success of risk communication cannot only be seen from the government's public communication strategy through various media. However, what is also important is how the public responds to various information submitted by the government. The public is also expected to play an active role in producing and disseminating information and education needed by all parties who need information from reliable and responsible sources with good and interesting content about various efforts to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Pasangan yang dihadapkan dengan situasi pemenuhan kewajiban untuk menjalankan kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), memiliki perbedaan secara signifikan yang menyangkut tantangan dalam menjalani hubungan LDR mulai dari lingkungan, kesibukan dan pihak lain yang terlibat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk komunikasi antarpribadi dari pasangan selama menjalani Long Distance Relationship pada kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), agar hubungan senantiasa harmonis dan terhindar dari berbagai konflik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, paradigma interpretif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, serta teknik pengumpulan data yaitu in depth interview. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Relationship Maintenance Theory dan Relational Dialectics Theory. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bagaimana pasangan yang menjalani hubungan jarak jauh (LDR) selama kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) berupaya memperkaya alternatif komunikasi untuk menjaga relasi meskipun menghadapi kendala seperti masalah sinyal, perbedaan waktu, dan kesibukan yang berbeda. LDR KKN memberikan pelajaran berharga bagi pasangan dalam membangun kepercayaan satu sama lain, mempertahankan romantisme dalam situasi dan kondisi yang berbeda. Selain itu, pasangan yang menjalani LDR KKN memiliki konflik yang hadir dari kurangnya komunikasi untuk berbagi cerita, perbedaan waktu luang, kendala jaringan sinyal internet, kurang memahami keadaan pasangan, serta ketidaktahuan menghadapi situasi yang baru dan asing. Pasangan mengelola konflik dengan berbagai gaya manajemen konflik seperti avoidance, collaboration, dan compromise.

Abstract

Generasi Z merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang tumbuh dan dibesarkan dalam era digitalisasi dan banyak terpapar media sosial serta melakukan interaksi di dalamnya. Pengalaman fear of missing out yang dialami memiliki penyebab dan dampak yang berbeda pada masing-masing individu. Penelitian ini membahas terkait cara yang dilakukan individu untuk terbuka kepada lawan bicara terkait permasalahan mengalami fear of missing out yang dianggap sebagai persoalan pribadi dan bersifat privasi karena dampak yang ditimbulkan berkaitan dengan aspek fisik dan psikis individu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam sebagai metode untuk yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dengan metode fenomenologi yang memahami fenomena dari kehidupan para pelakunya. Teori yang digunakan yaitu Communication Privacy Management Theory dan Social Exchange Theory. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa setiap informan melakukan inisiatif keterbukaan diri atau self-disclosure kepada lawan bicara tertentu yang dipercayainya dimana tidak semua orang mengetahui informasi tersebut. Dalam membagikan informasi, para informan melakukan manajemen privasi dalam mengatur informasi apa saja yang dapat ia bagikan kepada lawan bicaranya. Dengan keterbukaan tersebut, hubungan yang terjalin antara informan dengan lawan bicara menjadi lebih dekat karena terjadi pertukaran informasi yang bersifat privasi di antara kedunya.

Abstract

Advertising is an important element of a series of product promotions that has an impact on how the brand image is perceived in the consumer's brain. IM3 Ooredoo uses advertising jingle and celebrity endorser Sal Priadi entitled "Bulan Yang Baik " in its advertising. IM3 Ooredoo continues to improve network quality from August 2021 until the end of 2022. However, the data shows IM3 Ooredoo's Top Brand Index has decreased and IM3 Ooredoo is in second place under Telkomsel as well as the number of subscribers. This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between the attractiveness of advertising jingles and the attractiveness of celebrity endorser Sal Priadi with IM3 Ooredoo's brand image. Advertising Exposure Theory and Source Attractiveness Model Theory are used to explain the influence between variables. The sample is 30 respondents aged 15-25 years who actively use internet services based on nonprobability sampling and purposive sampling techniques. The type of research used is quantitative with the experimental research method pre-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest design.The results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test stated that there was a correlation between the attractiveness of advertising jingles and the attractiveness of celebrity endorser Sal Priadi with IM3 Ooredoo's brand image with Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) is 0.002 which is below 0.005.

Abstract

Komitmen agen asuransi sangat penting dalam mendorong kantor pemasaran mandiri mencapai tujuan organisasi. Namun, kebebasan agen untuk berhenti dan keluar dari profesi sebagai agen asuransi, akibat tidak adanya kontrak kerja dan kewajiban yang harus dipenuhi kepada kantor pemasaran mandiri dan leader yang merekrut mereka, menjadi tantangan dalam menjaga komitmen tersebut. Industri asuransi di Indonesia juga menghadapi masalah tingginya tingkat turnover agen, yang didukung oleh data AAJI pada tahun 2022 yang menunjukkan penurunan jumlah agen sebesar 3,5% pada tahun tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MRT Stars Surabaya, yang merupakan salah satu kantor pemasaran mandiri PT Prudential Life Assurance terbesar di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis proses manajemen komunikasi dalam mempertahankan komitmen agen asuransi di MRT Stars Surabaya. MRT Stars Surabaya mengimplementasikan manajemen komunikasi dengan efektif dalam menyatukan seluruh stakeholder internal yang terdiri dari berbagai bisnis unit. Peran penting juga dimiliki oleh leader dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan komitmen agen untuk berproduksi, yang berkontribusi pada jumlah penjualan polis di MRT Stars Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti memahami secara holistik dan bermakna tentang kehidupan nyata dalam berbagai konteks seperti siklus hidup individu, perilaku kelompok kecil, proses organisasi, dan perubahan manajerial dalam lingkungan tersebut. Temuan penelitian dianalisis menggunakan pattern matching, yaitu membandingkan pola yang berbasis empiris dengan pola yang telah diprediksi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Teori Kontigensi, Teori Ekuitas, dan Model Manajemen Komunikasi Michael Kaye. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses manajemen komunikasi di MRT Stars Surabaya berjalan efektif. Pada aspek komunikasi intrapersonal, dilakukan dengan menanamkan pemahaman yang benar terkait peran agen dan bisnis asuransi. Aspek komunikasi interpersonal menjadi pondasi utama pendukung bisnis. Sementara penerapan sistem keagenan mendorong iklim komunikasi yang konstruktif Aspek kompetensi dapat telihat dari patisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan di komunitas MRT Stars. Temuan penelian juga menunjukkan bahwa agen yang memiliki komitmen di bisnis asuransi adalah agen yang memiliki keinginan yang lebih besar daripada hambatan penolakan yang dialaminya. Hasil penelitian juga mendukung Teori Keadilan dan menemukan bahwa kepuasan agen akan meningkat jika mereka merasa diperlakukan secara adil. Komunitas MRT Stars dirasakan membantu dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bisnis asuransi, dan komitmen terhadap organisasi dapat meningkat jika organisasi tersebut membantu anggotanya meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka. Namun, masih terdapat masalah terkait ketidakmerataan alur informasi keagenan, sehingga tidak semua agen memiliki akses yang sama terhadap informasi pelaksanaan sistem keagenan yang di selenggarakan oleh MRT Stars Surabaya. Kesimpulam dalam penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa sistem keagenan yang diterapkan oleh MRT Stars Surabaya membentuk iklim komunikasi yang konstruktif di dalam komunitas MRT Stars SurabayaSistem keageann juga menjadi faktor utama yang mempengaruhi komitmen agen di MRT Stars Surabaya untuk bertahan dan meraih kesuksesan pada bisnis asuransi.

Abstract

Designing a public relations strategy by a company is important in the process of achieving a company’s goals and ideals. This research aims to determine the process of PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk carries out a public relations strategy to maintain reputation and create a healthy an innovative digital ecosystem through the Indonesia Telecommunication and Digital Research Institute (ITDRI). This research applies a descriptive case study method, a qualitative approach, and a constructivism paradigm. The techniques used are in-depth interview and pattern matching analysis techniques based on Institutional Theory, General Support Theory, 10 Steps Public Relations, and Relationship Management Theory. Pattern matching is carried out based on the company as a system, institutional formation, designing-implementation-evaluation strategy, and relationship management within the company. Analysis of the research results shows that there is an institutional process through ITDRI which is driven by community conditions and support from the government and the BUMN ministry. Through ITDRI, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia designs and implements public relations strategies by implementing programs that can create a healthy and innovative digital ecosystem in Indonesia. This research states that companies and the community or surrounding environment have relationships that mutually influence each other and are often taken into consideration in decision making.

Abstract

Current competitive conditions and developments force every political candidate to think about the right way and method to win the competition. Personal branding is one of the methods that can be used and it is something that cannot be avoided by every candidate who enters politics. The presence of the Internet has given rise to a type of social media that has become an opportunity to build personal branding. Ganjar Pranowo is a political figure who uses social media to build trust and image, as well as build personal branding. Through his Instagram account @ganjar_pranowo, Ganjar Pranowo has succeeded in displaying a positive personal branding impression, thus influencing his image in the public eye. The method in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This study uses semiotic analysis developed by Ferdinand De Saussure as its basis. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by analyzing existing data based on the theory used in this research. From the research that has been conducted on the @ganjar_pranowo Instagram account, it shows that the personal branding displayed by Ganjar Pranowo fulfills the eight concepts of forming personal branding from Peter Montoya, namely the law of specialization, the law of leadership, the law of personality, the law of distinctiveness, the law of visibility, the law of unity, the law of persistence, and the law of goodwill. Then, the personal branding displayed by Ganjar Pranowo through his Instagram account can also be analyzed using Erving Goffman's Dramaturgy Theory which consists of front stage and back stage. Ganjar Pranowo in uploading posts on Instagram as an effort to build personal branding uses features from Instagram in the form of feeds, captions, reels, and highlights.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the fact that although PT Paragon Technology & Innovation has successful cosmetic brands, such as Wardah, Emina, and Make Over, this company is little known in the public and has a lack of online media coverage, which reflects an unequal comparison between brand popularity and understanding of the company itself. This research analyzes PT Paragon Technology & Innovation's media relations strategy in building its corporate image. This research adopts a post-positivism paradigm with a case study approach and pattern-matching analysis techniques based on Stakeholder Theory, Impression Management Theory, the corporate narrative concept and the publicity concept. The main focus is the Corporate Communication division of PT Paragon Technology & Innovation, which plays a role in media relations. Primary data was obtained through interviews, observation, and document analysis, while secondary data was used as support. The validity of the data is ensured through the criteria of credibility, transferability, dependability, and certainty. The research results show that PT Paragon Technology & Innovation implements a comprehensive media relations strategy in building a corporate narrative. They build strong relationships with the media through pitching relevant to the audience and company narrative. Implementing the media relations program continuously includes media amplification, press conferences, media visits, media tours, media collaboration, media gatherings, and the Media Journalism Fellowship. The research suggestion is for PT Paragon Technology & Innovation to increase the effectiveness of media relations by conducting briefings related to the intensity of mention of the name PT Paragon Technology & Innovation in reporting to the media, providing news material with factual data accompanied by history or milestones regarding PT Paragon Technology & Innovation. In this way, PT Paragon Technology & Innovation can better overcome the imbalance between brand popularity and understanding of the company itself.
