Abstract

Mental health education for teenagers is very important to increase teenagers' knowledge and awareness about mental health and prevent mental health disorders in teenagers. This research aims to increase students' knowledge about adolescent mental health. This research uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest design to measure students' level of knowledge before and after conducting youth mental health education using leaflets and short presentations. The research was conducted on 58 junior high school students at SMP Muhammadiyah 61 Tanjung Selamat, Pancur Batu sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. The results of this activity show a positive trend in increasing students' understanding and knowledge of Mental Health using leaflet media. This is shown by the increase in the percentage of students who have good abilities in the post-test results. As many as 86.6% of class VII students and 100% of class IX students have good abilities. The improvement in the abilities of class VII and class IX students was more significant in the post-test results. The conclusion is that educating using leaflet media can expand the knowledge and understanding of Muhammadiyah 61 Tanjung Selamat Middle School students regarding mental health in adolescents.

Abstract

Adolescence is the age group between 10 and 19 years old and represents the transition from childhood to adulthood. Cancer is a disease that causes suffering and death in humans. It is the number one cause of death. Various preventative measures include increasing public awareness of the dangers of cancer, understanding healthy lifestyles, increasing interest in early cancer detection, research-based treatment, and participation in the National Health Insurance program so that all cases can be managed effectively. The purpose of this activity is to provide an initial effort to prevent reproductive organ cancer in adolescents and to increase knowledge at Kemala Bhayangkari I Private High School, Medan. The activity will take place on June 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM WIB, at Kemala Bhayangkari I Private High School, Medan. The method used is a group discussion, practice, and questionnaire. Activity Results Based on the results of the pretest questionnaire, the level of knowledge of participants was found to be in the good category for 10 people (33.3%), the sufficient category for 13 people (43.3%), and the less category for 7 people (23.3%). Meanwhile, based on the results of the posttest questionnaire, the level of knowledge of participants was found to be in the good category for 20 people (63.3%), the sufficient category for 7 people (23.3%), and the less category for 3 people (10%).

Abstract

Hak memperoleh pendidikan berlaku bagi setiap anak, termasuk siswa yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus seperti retardasi mental. Kondisi keterbatasan kognitif yang dimiliki siswa tersebut menjadi tantangan tersendiri, terutama dalam pembelajaran fiqih materi puasa Ramadan, menyebabkan dibutuhkannya pendekatan khusus.  Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa retardasi mental terhadap materi fiqih puasa Ramadan. Kegiatan berlangsung di MI Tarbiyatul Aulad Jombor, Kecamatan Tuntang, Kabupaten Semarang, selama dua minggu dengan melibatkan seorang siswa kelas III penyandang retardasi mental sebagai subjek utama. Metode yang diterapkan berupa drill yang dipadukan dengan buku edukasi “Yuk, Belajar Puasa Ramadan” dan video animasi media video animasi yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan kognitif anak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan, tercermin dari kemampuan siswa dalam menghafal doa niat dan doa berbuka puasa, peningkatan konsentrasi, serta keberanian dalam berinteraksi melalui tanya jawab. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan metode drill berbasis media edukatif dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif bagi siswa retardasi mental sekaligus mendukung praktik pendidikan inklusi di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a way for the community to be able to maintain the quality of their health. One indicator that is used as a reference is Handwashing with Soap (CTPS), because it can prevent the occurrence of diarrhea and ISPA, especially in vulnerable groups such as school-age children. However, learning about health in schools often uses inappropriate methods and media. This activity aims to increase students knowledge about washing hands with soap at UPT SDN 060831. The activity method is carried out by counseling and health education about good and correct CTPS at school. The results of this activity have been socialization and counseling to 25 students, in addition to that, handwashing with soap (CTPS) was also carried out at UPT SDN 060831. The conclusion of this activity is that students are able to practice how to wash their hands properly using soap and flowing water.

Abstract

This study explored the allocated HOTs, MOTs, and LOTs in tasks that should be accomplished. Another issue was the religious task inserted in the learning textbook. The primary data in this study was English textbooks taught in Indonesia. The study used Bloom's classification of students' cognitive level. As for the religious aspect, hadith transmitted by Muslim was used as the indicator, those are Faith, Moral, and Sharia. A coding scheme was accordingly developed to ease in digging the data. The data was then analyzed to detect trends in the allocated task in the learning textbook and the tasks that inserted religious aspects. Result of the codification of tasks, there were 332 tasks most of which converged in the first three levels, which are LOTs and MOTs. In addition, from religious aspects, the tasks were mostly distributed at moral and sharia. However, no single task has been allocated for faith and worship. The result of the study can act as guidance to government, stakeholders, and textbook developers who are eager to modify their task allocated in such a way as to achieve higher level and to be aware of religious aspects to face their real life so that students can make use their cognitive skill and religious side in harmony.

Abstract

Effectiveness of Geogebra Integration into Flipped Classroom (GFC)on Students Mathematics Skills: A Meta-Analysis Study. Previous research examining the effectiveness of Geogebra Integration into Flipped Classroom (GFC) on students' mathematics skills showed inconsistent results. Objectives: This research aims to conduct a meta-analysis study on the effectiveness of Geogebra integration into Flipped Classroom (GFC) and identify what factors moderate the effect of GFC on students' mathematical skills. Methods: The research method used meta-analysis. The samples in this study were 31 primary studies that met the specified inclusion criteria. Data analysis was conducted using comprehensive meta-analysis (CMA) software. Findings: The results of the analysis using the random-effects approach showed that the combined effect size was (g = 1.06; p < 0.01) (Large Effect Category). This indicates that GFC has a significant influence on students' mathematics skills. The result of moderator variable analysis shows that the effect of GFC implementation on students' mathematics skills is significantly different based on the variable of platform used (Qb = 21.98; p = 0.01), and publication type (Qb = 7.94; p = 0.01). However, it was not significantly different based on the variables of education level (Qb = 7.45; p = 0.06), experimental group capacity (Qb = 0.29; p = 0.62), and year of publication (Qb = 0.21; p = 0.64). The findings of this meta-analysis can serve as a basis for best practices in applying GFC to student mathematics skills Conclusion: The findings of this meta-analysis provide more accurate and comprehensive results regarding the inconsistent effects of size variation and enrich knowledge about the effectiveness of using GFC in improving students' mathematics skills. Keywords: geogebra into flipped classroom, mathematics skill, meta-analysis.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v14.i3.2024119

Abstract

Patient safety is an absolute thing in the service of a hospital. Services that promote a sense of security and comfort are the hopes of every patient when receiving health services. However, the high number of unexpected events in health services at hospitals become an indication that the implementation of patient safety management, especially the seven steps towards patient safety, is not running well. The research method in this study was descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation study. From this study, it was found that the implementation of patient safety management on the seven steps towards patient safety has been carried out in hospitals, but there are still obstacles that resulted in the implementation that is not being maximized. Improvement efforts should be continued to implement the seven steps program towards patient safety optimally.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the six levels of cognitive domain based on Revised Blooms Taxonomy and the use of HOTS and LOTS in the Final School Exam questions for twelfth-grade students, at teachers’ made test in summative assessment. This research was descriptive qualitative research that used content analysis as a method to analyze the specific character of each question. The researcher used Final School Exam questions from twelfth-grade students in the academic year 2021- 2022 at SMKN 8 Lhokseumawe as a data source and used a checklist table in collecting and analyzing data to find out the research results. The results of data analysis showed that the most dominant cognitive domain is the level of understanding (C2), which is 60% or 24 of 40 questions. The second highest is the level of Remembering (C1), which is 30% or 12 of 40 questions. Next is the Analyzing level (C4), which is 10% or 4 of 40 questions. The cognitive domain is classified into two levels, namely Lower Order Thinking Skill (LOTS) and Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Of the three categories applied to the test, it can be shown that 90% or 36 of the 40 questions are included in the LOTS category, while the other 10% or 4 of 40 questions are included in the HOTS questions. LOTS questions are much more dominant than HOTS questions.

Abstract

Branding UMKM merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam memulai sebuah bisnis. Dengan adanya branding UMKM dapat meningkatkan penjualan dan daya tarik pada konsumen. Branding UMKM dengan cara memberikan logo yang memiliki makna, membuatkan media sosial, membuat website pada UMKM dengan cara seperti ini dapat dikenal oleh masyarakat. Logo dalam UMKM juga sangat penting tujuannya yaitu agar penjual memiliki merek atau brand sendiri dan juga dengan adanya logo produk yang dijual dapat dikenal oleh kalangan masyarakat. Dalam membranding pada UMKM diperlukan pembuatan konten pada UMKM, pembuatan media sosial UMKM, Website UMKM dan pebuatan logo baru pada UMKM maka dari itu UMKM yang berada di Desa Kertarahayu Kabupaten Bekasi dapat memaksimalkan penjualan dan memperkenalkan produk tersebut. Abstract

  ABSTRACT Cesarean section is a surgical procedure performed to deliver a baby through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus. This procedure often causes acute postoperative pain, which can hinder mobility, disrupt sleep patterns, and increase anxiety. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be used to help reduce pain is Benson relaxation therapy, which combines deep breathing techniques with elements ofspiritual belief to promote calmness and reduce pain perception. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Benson relaxation therapy in reducing pain levels in post-cesarean section patients at TK Il Putri Hijau Hospital Medan. The inclusion criteria were post-cesarean section clients who were willing to participate as respondents. This research was a descriptive case study conducted on two post-cesarean section patients treated in the Maternity Ward of TK 11 Putri Hijau Hospital Medan. The Benson relaxation therapy intervention was administered for three consecutive days, with each session lasting approximately 15 minutes. Pain levels were measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (MRS) before and after the intervention. Following the Benson relaxation therapy, a reduction in pain levels was observed in both patients. The first patient experienced a decrease from a pain score of 5 to 3, while the second patient's pain score decreased from 6 to 2. Additionally, the patients reported feeling more comfortable and being able to perform light activities more easily. Benson relaxation therapy proved effective in helping reduce acute pain in post-cesarean section patients. This intervention can be implemented as part of non-pharmacological nursing care to enhance comfort and accelerate the recovery process after surgery.,   ABSTRAK Sectio caesarea merupakan prosedur pembedahan yang dilakukan untuk melahirkan bayi melalui sayatan pada dinding abdomen dan uterus. Prosedur ini sering menimbulkan nyeri akut pascaoperasi yang dapat menghambat mobilisasi, mengganggu pola tidur, hingga meningkatkan kecemasan. Salah satu terapi non farmakologis yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu mengurangi nyeri adalah terapi relaksasi Benson, yaitu kombinasi antara teknik pernapasan dalam dengan elemen keyakinan spiritual yang bertujuan menciptakan ketenangan dan mengurangi persepsi nyeri. Penelitian Mengetahui efektivitas terapi relaksasi Benson dalam menurunkan tingkat nyeri pada pasien Post sectio caesarea di Rumah Sakit TK II Putri Hijau Medan. Kriteria Inklusi Klien Post sectio caesarea yang bersedia menjadi responden. Penelitian ini adalah studi kasus deskriptif yang dilakukan pada dua orang pasien Post sectio caesarea yang dirawat di Ruang Kebidanan Rumah Sakit TK II Putri Hijau Medan. Intervensi terapi relaksasi Benson diberikan selama 3 hari berturut-turut dengan durasi ±15 menit setiap sesi. Skala nyeri diukur menggunakan Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dilakukan. Setelah diberikan terapi relaksasi Benson, terjadi penurunan tingkat nyeri pada kedua pasien. Pasien pertama mengalami penurunan dari skala nyeri 5 menjadi 3, sedangkan pasien kedua dari skala nyeri 6 menjadi 2. Selain itu, pasien melaporkan rasa lebih nyaman dan mampu beraktivitas ringan dengan lebih baik. Terapi relaksasi Benson terbukti efektif dalam membantu menurunkan nyeri akut pada pasien post sectio caesarea. Intervensi ini dapat diterapkan sebagai bagian dari tindakan keperawatan non-farmakologis untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan dan mempercepat proses pemulihan pasien pascaoperasi.
