Abstract

This study aims to empirically prove that the relationship between self-efficacy, academic motivation, self-regulated learning and academic achievement. In addition, empirically proved the mediating role of self-regulated learning on self-efficacy, academic motivation and student achievement. This study used quantitative expansive method. The sample of this study was 246 students of an Islamic senior high school recruited using census technique; thus, the entire population was used as the sample of the study. Data were collected using a questionnaire and were analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results empirically show that there is a relationship between self-efficacy, academic motivation, self-regulated learning and academic achievement. However, there is no relationship between self-regulated learning and academic achievement.

Abstract

Kegiatan dan aktifitas rutin yang dilakukan seseorang seakan mengarah pada kegiatan yang mekanis. Oleh karena itu banyak orang berharap mempunyai waktu luang dengan harapan sebagai release time, free time. Waktu luang menjadi berharga bagi seseorang, termasuk pada remaja. Usia dengan ciri utama pencarian identitas diri. Fenomena waktu luang remaja menjadi kajian yang penting untuk diketahui. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif fenomenologis. Sebanyak 2004 orang usia remaja awal terlibat di dalam pengisian angket terbuka. Data dianalisis secara konten dengan pemberian koding. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa waktu luang remaja didominasi oleh bentuk kegiatan kesenangan yang cenderung tidak produktif (35,9%). Namun kegiatan olah raga cukup menjadi pilihan remaja dalam mengisi waktu luang (29,2%), menyusul kegiatan kesenangan yang produktif. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler sekolah sama sekali tidak menjadi pengisi waktu luang, termasuk kegiatan kemasyarakatan, keagamaan, dan seni. Berdasarkan fenomena ini akan menjadi rekomendasi yang bisa ditindaklanjuti baik oleh pemegang kebijakan, sekolah, keluarga, maupun kelompok-kelompok komunitas yang anggotanya didominasi remaja.

Abstract

Latar Belakang; Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh Cognitive Behavioral Therapy terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar anak tuna laras SLB E Bhina Putera Banjarsari Surakarta.Metode; Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental  yang akan mengungkap bagaimana pengaruh intervensi okupasi terapi menggunakan pendekatan Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) pada peningkatan motivasi belajar anak tuna laras. Hasil; Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan motivasi belajar anak tuna laras baik dalam skor maupun kategori menurut angket motivasi ARCS setelah pemberian intervensi CBT. Rata-rata sebelum pemberian intervensi adalah 2.78 atau dalam kategori motivasi “cukup  baik” dan setelah pemberian intervensi menjadi 3.69 atau dalam kategori “baik”.Kesimpulan; Berdasarkan analisa data penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa ada pengaruh Cognitive Behavioral Therapy pada peningkatan motivasi belajar anak tuna laras.

Abstract

Covid-19 has changed the learning system to be online-based which makes educators experience stress and fatigue. This condition is caused by low knowledge of technology, criticism from students' parents, a learning atmosphere that is not conducive, limited access to home visits, until students are infected with Covid-19. The purpose of the training on religious coping strategies is to improve understanding of the coping strategies of educators during Covid-19. The training on religious coping strategies was carried out online assisted by zoom meeting software by involving 37 educators at the junior high, high and vocational levels consisting of 15 men and 22 women in the Surakarta Residency area. Activities carried out by pre-test, psychoeducation of religious coping, post-test, and program evaluation. The results of community service activities show an increase in the understanding and awareness of educators in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The learning process with religious coping strategies makes mentally tougher to face the pandemic.

Abstract

Some of Tahfiz houses which were built to teach memorising Quran have difficulty in choosing a method that is suitable for the psychological development of early childhood. This study aims to examine the method of memorising the Quran in terms of psychological theory. This study uses a qualitative systematic review method following PRISMA with stages: Identification; Screening; Eligibility; and Included. The three stages of reviewing journal articles are: searching for journal articles, mapping themes, and analysing based on inclusion criteria. The result is that there are two suitable methods for early childhood, namely Bayani based on the verbal mnemonic technique and Kaisa based on the mnemonic physical response. This finding is expected to be developed by further research and be useful for tahfiz houses teachers to choose the method of memorising the Quran for early childhood according to psychological development

Abstract

This research analyzed the implementation of self-management (SM) strategies, an intervention to facilitate academic and non-academic students’ learning processes. This systematic literature review used an application named, the Publish or Perish 8 program, with a Scopus index. In this research, the applied inclusion criterion was - recent 5-year published articles from 2017-2022. The researchers used PRISMA 2020 concept model with some stages: 1) identifying the articles, 2) screening the articles, 3) checking the eligibility, and 4) using the articles. The researchers applied meta-synthesis data analysis. The results showed that SM strategy implementation could overcome academic problems, and influence learning continuity, balance, motivation, on-task behavior, and learning outcomes. SM strategy could also manage the students' non-academic problems, such as improving self-confidence, future-decision responsibility, and social involvement. The effectiveness of the SM strategy should also consider the student achievement levels, the experience of disability, and general and specific circumstances at schools. Thus, this strategy could deal with certain situations so SM strategy formulation must consider the student's needs.

Abstract

The caregiving experience of parents of children with special needs (CSN) can be challenging and can lead to significant stress and negative impacts on mental health. To address this issue, a community service activity was implemented to provide positive self-talk training to 25 parents of CSN who are members of the Indonesian Special Family Forum (FORKESI) in South Sumatra. The training was conducted online using the Zoom Meeting platform and employed the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method. The results of the community service indicated that the average stress levels of the participants decreased after participating in the training. Additionally, participants reported feeling more grateful for the condition of their children, more accepting of their children's condition, and having more open minds. These findings suggest that positive self-talk training is an effective strategy for reducing stress in parents of children with special needs and may have broader implications for supporting caregivers in the community.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the mnemonic method on the ability to read hijaiyah letters in mentally disabled children. The design used in this study is an interrupted time series design. The research subjects were 3 mentally disabled students at SMPLB Siwi Mulia Madiun. Measurement of the ability to read hijaiyah letters in students was carried out repeatedly before and after treatment to see the consistency of the condition of the research subject. The normality test in this study used the Shapiro-Wilk test with a significance value of 0.56, which means the data is usually distributed. Meanwhile, the hypothesis testing used the paired sample T-test with a score (t = -18.0, p = 0.003), (t = -5.9, p = 0.027), (t = -11.1, p = 0.008) or all p values were smaller than 0.05 means that there is a significant difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test, where the post-test score is higher than the pre-test score. The findings of this study proved that effective mnemonic methods improve the ability to read hijaiyah letters in mentally disabled children.

Abstract

 The discourse on Satria Piningit has been regarded only as a mystical prophecy that emerged during the succession of national leadership in Indonesia. Many political figures use Satria Piningit to get the people's support so they can be elected as leaders. It is hoped that this support will emerge; the prediction about Satria Piningit's arrival is a prevalent discourse among the Javanese people. This article aims to conduct a literature study on Satria Piningit's discourse as a leadership regeneration concept based on Javanese local wisdom. It used the systematic literature review method of fifteen articles that discuss Satria Piningit's discourse as a leadership concept. The concept of Satria Piningit is an idea of ideal leadership based on local Javanese wisdom that can be applied at various levels, from small to national leadership. Discourse on Satria Piningit contributed to the formation of nationalism during the Indonesian independence struggle. This discourse is also closely related to religious expression in Indonesia. The Satria Piningit leadership concept can be developed in more detail as a form of regeneration of leaders based on Javanese local wisdom. Wacana Satria Piningit selama ini dianggap hanya sebagai sebuah ramalan bernuansa mistis yang muncul pada suksesi kepemimpinan nasional. Banyak tokoh politik menggunakan istilah Satria Piningit untuk mendapatkan dukungan rakyat hingga bisa terpilih menjadi pemimpin. Dukungan tersebut diharapkan muncul, karena ramalan tentang kedatangan Satria Piningit, merupakan sebuah wacana yang sangat populer di kalangan masyarakat Suku Jawa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian literatur tentang wacana Satria Piningit sebagai sebuah konsep kaderisasi kepemimpinan berbasis kearifan lokal Jawa. Artikel ini menggunakan metode systematic literature review dari lima belas artikel yang membahas wacana Satria Piningit sebagai sebuah konsep kepemimpinan. Konsep Satria Piningit merupakan sebuah ide tentang kepemimpinan ideal berbasis kearifan lokal Jawa yang bisa diterapkan di berbagai jenjang, mulai dari kepemimpinan skala kecil hingga nasional. Wacana Satria Piningit memiliki kontribusi terhadap pembentukan karakter nasionalisme di masa perjuangan kemerdekaan RI. Wacana ini juga sangat berkaitan dengan ekspresi keberagamaan di Indonesia. Konsep Kepemimpinan Satria Piningit bisa dikembangkan menjadi lebih rinci sebagai salah satu bentuk kaderisasi pemimpin berbasis kearifan lokal Jawa.

Abstract

Ketrampila mulur-mungkret merupakan kemampuan sikap elastis dalam mengelola stres. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melakukan pemetaan kondisi psikologis para guru berdasarkan aspek optimisme, kecemasan dan ketangguhan. Selanjutnya para guru akan mengikuti workshop ketrampilan strategi mulur -mungkret sebagai penguatan kapasitas kualitas kepribadian. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan secara virtual dengan media zoom meeting kurang lebih selama 2 jam dengan sasaran guru sejumlah 39 orang. Prosedur pelaksanaannya terdiri dari beberapa tahap, yaitu pemetaan kualitas kepribadian menggunakan skala Rasa, pemberian cerita “lima anak bermain permainan keinginan”, penjelasan materi mekanisme mulur-mungkret, diskusi mengenai keinginan dan pengisian angket tentang keinginan. Hasil pemetaan kondisi psikologis para guru menunjukkan bahwa para guru memiliki rasa optimisme dan ketangguhan serta ketenangan yang tinggi. Pemahanam strategi mulur-mungkret yang disampaikan dapat memperkuat para guru untuk tetap mempertahankan kondisi psikologisnya terutama dalam rasa optimis dan ketangguhan serta mencegah berkembangnya rasa cemas. Selain itu, tergambar juga bahwa kesadaran guru akan kesehatan fisik sudah terbangun dengan baik dengan menerapkan pola hidup sehat seperti yang dihimbau oleh pemerintah dalam hal penerapan prosedur kesehatan yang ketat.
