Abstract

Career adaptability is an essential competency for Generation Z students in addressing the challenges of a dynamic and uncertain labor market. This study aims to analyze the role of religious values in shaping the career adaptability of Generation Z students. Employing a descriptive phenomenological approach, the research explores students’ subjective experiences in integrating religious values, such as honesty, integrity, and gratitude, into the career adaptation process. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews with school counselors and students, as well as distributing instruments to vocational high school students representing Generation Z. Thematic analysis of qualitative data revealed that religious values serve as moral pillars that provide direction, mental resilience, and confidence in making ethical and sustainable career decisions. Quantitative results using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test (Asymp. Sig. = 0.005) showed a significant improvement in the career adaptability of students in the experimental group. These findings were further supported by the Mann-Whitney U test (Asymp. Sig. = 0.020), confirming the effectiveness of integrating religious values into students' career readiness. Additionally, qualitative data revealed that experiential learning approaches positively contributed to students' psychological well-being. Students reported increased self-confidence, self-awareness, and stress management skills that support their readiness to navigate the dynamics of the labor market. This study underscores the importance of religious values in fostering adaptive, ethical, and sustainable career development among Generation Z students.

Abstract

This qualitative research proves that a typical Javanese systematic dialogue called Junggringan can improve an individual's cognitive structure, change their awareness, and then bring about changes at the behavioral levels. These changes then bring individuals out of problems. In Javanese terminology, this condition is called pangawikan pribadi. This paper aims to obtain an indigenous counseling model relating to Junggringan. This research involved 12 participants as the research subjects. By following the Junggringan dialogue, they succeeded in reaching the peak condition, where individuals realize errors in thinking and realize the absence of awareness, which then encourages maladaptive behavior. Acceptance of erroneous ways of thinking and lack of awareness drives individuals to an inner state of extraordinary relief. This peak experience is called Pangawikan Pribadi. With Pangawikan Pribadi, it is easier for individuals to find the solution. This is the essence of Javanese Counseling.

Abstract

This study examines the accessibility of MSME financing in Islamic banks, focusing on the transformations accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic. As community activities were restricted, Islamic banks rapidly digitized their services to maintain customer engagement. Despite digital advancements, financing processes, especially for MSMEs, still heavily rely on face-to-face interactions, which pose challenges for MSME clients with limited access to information, capital, and guarantees. Using a quantitative approach with SmartPLS, the research investigates the impact of various financial inclusion indicators on MSME financing. The outer model test confirmed the validity and reliability of all variables (AVE > 0.50, Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.75). The inner model test revealed that office networks and IRDPK significantly influenced MSME financing, while ATM availability showed a moderate effect. Additionally, the IRPBY variable did not exert a positive impact. This study highlights the crucial role of Islamic bank office networks in facilitating MSME access to financing, especially in the halal sector, and suggests that further digital innovations could enhance accessibility.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study examines the effectiveness of play therapy using the Ajining Dhiri (ADHI) puppet medium to enhance self-esteem in slow learners. Utilizing a pretest-posttest control group design, the study involved 16 slow learners with low self-esteem, as measured by the Self-Esteem Inventory by Coopersmith (1978), validated (r=0.711–0.794) and reliable (Cronbach's alpha=0.760). Participants were divided into a treatment group receiving play therapy with ADHI puppets and a control group receiving standard group counseling. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Baseline findings revealed that 50% of students scored low in Strength (recognition and respect), 62.5% moderate in Significance (acceptance and affection), 75% moderate in Virtue (ethical behavior), and 87.5% low in Ability (task performance). Post-intervention results demonstrated significant improvements in self-esteem across all indicators for the treatment group. The Mann-Whitney U test yielded a value of 0.000, Z = -5.093, and a p-value < 0.05, confirming a significant difference between the treatment and control groups. The play therapy sessions, structured in three phases, enabled students to explore self-expression and cognitive engagement through puppet interactions. Compared to the control group, students in the treatment group showed greater enthusiasm and consistent self-esteem improvements. These findings validate the alternative hypothesis (H1) that play therapy using ADHI puppet media effectively enhances self-esteem in slow learners, offering a culturally contextualized and engaging intervention for addressing their psychological needs.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of the paradigm tendencies owned and practiced by school counselors in Indonesia. The study involved 233 school counselors in Indonesia on Sumatra, Java, and Bali islands. The research instrument reveals the counseling model that respondents use in providing counseling services (individual/group) and the reasons for its use. Statistics such as frequencies and percentages are used for quantitative data analysis. Qualitative data for reasons for specific counseling models were analyzed using Miles and Huberman data analysis. The results of this study show that school counselors most widely use behavior counseling models because they are effective in overcoming student behavior problems. This approach suits general needs and concerns and is easily understood with its techniques. The rational-emotive behavior therapy counseling model was chosen because it helps change mindsets to be more realistic and mature. This technique follows the needs and problems that arise and the development of adolescents who often act without consideration. Referring to Cotton's opinion, both models are counseling models that fall into the psychological paradigm. The tendency of school counselors to use psychological paradigms may be due to the psychology-focused counselor education curriculum, lack of resources or knowledge of other paradigms, and limitations of the school environment that encourage the use of traditional psychological approaches. School counselors must work with other school staff to integrate counseling approaches into the school program, which is essential. Professional organizations are expected to encourage training in behavioral counseling and REBT, supporting students' holistic education that includes academic, social, and emotional aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to delineate the framework and content of an empowerment strategy that integrates Trisula ideals and is based on the KIPAS framework, with the intention of fostering student resilience. In addition, the purpose of this study is to assess, from a KIPAS standpoint, the impact of the empowerment strategy that incorporates Trisula values in fostering greater resilience among students. The stages of this model for research and development were modified from those of Borg and Gall. The student resilience scale is utilized by the instrument that measures student resilience. In the implementation phase, eight junior high school students from the Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Indonesia participated as research subjects. For the purpose of evaluating products, format and model assessment sheets are utilized. Expert evaluation data on format and content were analyzed utilizing Aiken's Value analysis. The findings of the study indicate that the structure and substance of the empowerment approach, which incorporates Trisula values as viewed through the lens of KIPAS, are suitable for assisting students in developing resilience. Additionally, it was deemed a success that this research product assisted students in developing resilience. Further recommendations for future researchers are to broaden the range of subjects included in effectiveness testing, thereby enabling the application of model products beyond Islamic boarding schools.
