Abstract

Pelatihan dengan tujuan menyukseskan gerakan Kota Layak Anak (KLA), kerja sama RPTRA DKI dan berbagai instansi terkait termasuk kampus, menjadi salah satu program yang dicanangkan Pemerintah Daerah DKI Jakarta. Gerakan KLA di antaranya dengan memberikan berbagai layanan aktivitas sosial anak dan masyarakat seperti: kegiatan pra-sekolah, pencak silat, menari, bola basket, terapi untuk segala usia, joging track, kolam gizi, kebun sayur, rumah bibit serta bank sampah. Berdasar kebutuhan kegiatan di atas, pelaksana pengabdian kepada masyarakat menawarkan salah satu kerja samanya dalam bentuk pelatihan bahasa Inggris untuk anak. Hal ini di karenakan RPTRA Jagakarsa tidak memiliki guru bahasa Inggris sehingga kehadiran anggota PKM yang menawarkan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris disambut dengan baik. Metode yang dilakukan dalam PKM ini adalah dengan model pendidikan dan latihan bahasa Inggris kepada anak dengan menggunakan metode OQ1L. Metode Oral Questioning in Students’ First Language (L1) atau OQ1L merupakan metode pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang menekankan pada pembiasaan peserta didik untuk berpikir sebelum berbicara serta fokus pada apa yang sudah dibicarakan. Dengan demikian peserta didik menjadi lebih fokus dalam berpikir sehingga berpengaruh pada peningkatan pelajaran lainnya di sekolah

Abstract

The success of a Language programme not only involves the act of the teaching, but also successful education programme, planning,development as well as the implementation play a crucial role. Therefore, a proper course design is regarded important to suit with the course will be conducted. This paper will draw a plan of an English course run by PUSDIKLAT setneg in collaboration with the British Council Jakarta. This group of learners need English for academic studies and their language needs relate to their proficiency in English. The objectives of this course is to prepare the learners to take up further study in English-speaking countries. The learners are graduates of different disciplines such as; economics, finance, law and social sciences. The age is between 25 and 35 and have been strickly selected and have good academic potential, high cognitive competence, systematic way of thinking and usually are very aware of their needs and strengths. Moreover, they have good sense of time and high expectations from their learning. As they are going to study for a higher degree which later will affect their career in their organizations, they usually have high motivation in learning English. These facts indicate that these learners are special, in the sense that they have certain characteristics which are different from those found in learners taking other kinds of English course.Keywords: course design, need analysis, goals and objectives, course contents, syllabus, teaching materials, evaluation and assessment.

Abstract

Hama kutu kebul merupakan hama penting yang banyak menyerang perkebunan di Indonesia terutama pulau sumatera. Pengendalian hama ini bisa menggunakan pestisida kimiawi maupun nabati, namun penggunaan pestisida yang salah dapat menyebabkan resistansi terhadap hama. Alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan hama kutu kebul ialah menggunakan predator. Salah satu predator yang sering digunakan ialah semut rangrang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk melihat bagaimana potensi semut rangrang sebagai predator dari hama kutu kebul. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada April 2021 hingga Mei 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semut rangrang berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap mortalitas hama B. tabaci berdasarkan F tabel 95% dan 99%. Oleh sebab itu, semut rangrang (O. smaragdina) dapat berpotensi sebagai predator bagi hama kutu kebul (B. tabaci). Kepadatan populasi dari predator semut rangrang akan mempengaruhi tingkat mortalitas dari hama kutu kebul. Kepadatan predator yang paling efektif pada 20 kutu kebul ialah 8 predator dengan waktu pengaplikasian selama 72 jam.

Abstract

Data from Kepanjen Health Center in Malang Regency in 2017, especially in the Cempokomulyo village, shows that 5.3% of children under five suffer from severe malnutrition and 3.5% suffer from malnutrition. While in the Jatirejoyoso village shows that 3.4% of toddlers experience malnutrition. One of the factors that influence the incidence of malnutrition is the lack of access to care and information for mothers of infants and the lack of initiative and skills of posyandu cadres. The provision of information, motivation and skills needed by cadres and mothers of children under five are considered as one step in nutrition recovery. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of cadres and mothers of toddlers. Nutrition training was given to cadres and mothers of toddlers, namely measuring nutritional status, feeding infants and children, breastfeeding practices, detection of growth and development of nutrition recovery at the posyandu level. The results of this activity indicate that there is an increase in the knowledge of cadres and mothers of infants, at pretest 10% of knowledge is good and 5% of knowledge is lacking and at the time of posttest it is 85% of knowledge is good and 15% is sufficient. In addition, there was an increase in the skills of cadres and mothers of toddlers, at pretest 75% of their skills were sufficient and 25% of their skills were lacking and at posttest they were 90% of good skills and 10% were sufficient. Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres and mothers of toddlers to be mostly good. Posyandu cadres and toddler mothers are expected to be able to carry out nutritional recovery at the follow-up phase at the posyandu level. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis serangga nokturnal Kebun Botani FKIP Unsri Inderalaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Metode survei adalah metode yang dipakai untuk memperoleh fakta-fakta dari gejala gejala yang ada dan mencari keterangan keterangan secara faktual. Proses pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada tiap lokasi sampling dengan menggunakan perangkap serangga yang telah dimodifikasi (Pitfall bait trap + barrier dan Light trap + barrier). Analisis terhadap indeks keanekaragaman menggunakan indeks Shannon-Winner (H’). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keanekaragaman serangga nokturnal di Kebun Botani FKIP UNSRI Kecamatan Inderalaya Utara berada dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 2,9895. Hal ini menandakan bahwa lingkungan kebun botani merupakan lingkungan yang menunjang bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan populasi serangga. Serangga yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian sebanyak  9 Ordo yang terdiri dari 20 famili dan 32 spesies serangga. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan informasi kepada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan biologi FKIP Unsri mengenai keanekaragaman jenis serangga nokturnal di kebun botani FKIP Unsri Inderalaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Selain itu dapat digunakan sebagai sumbangan dalam bentuk bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA kelas X semester II pada kompetensi dasar 3.4. Mendeskripsikan ciri-ciri filum dalam dunia hewan dan peranannya bagi kehidupan.   Kata Kunci: Keanekaragaman Jenis, Serangga Nokturnal, Kebun Botani, FKIP Unsri dan Biologi SMA

Abstract

Abtract: This study aims to reveal information about the insect composition of herbivores group, predators and parasitoids in oil palm plantations PT. PN VII Natar Subdistrict. Sampling was conducted in Afdeling 1 in July-August 2015. The method of catching by using hand picking, insect net, and fit fall trap way. The result shows that in the oil palm plantations PT. PN VII District of Natar, the total composition of the components of the ecosystem of the entire Ordo is the highest as herbivorous insects or pests as many as 332 individuals, namely from the Ordo Lepidoptera consists of Pieris rapae 133 Individuals, Melittia sp 3 Individuals, Hylephila phyleus 4 Individuals, Cercyonis pegala 15 Individuals and Danaus Plexippus nivosus 4 Individuals, Ordo Orthoptera consists of Stenopelmatus Nigrocapitatus 5 Individuals, Acheta domestica 46 Individuals, Dissosteira Carolina 7 Individuals, Melanoplus bivittatus 36 Individuals, Tettigidea lateralis 5 Individuals, Scudderia furcate 38 individuals, and Allonemobius fasciatus 13 individuals, the Ordo Hymenoptera consisting of Xylocopa virginica 6 Individuals, Anthophora plumipes 3 Individuals and Triepeolus lunatus 1 Individuals. Ordo Hemiptera consists of Leptoglossus gonagra 3 Individuals and Leptocorisa acuta 5 Individuals and Ordo Coleoptera consists of Eburia quadrigeminata 5 Individuals. Total composition components of the ecosystem of the entire Ordo, which acts as a predator as many as 288 individuals, namely from the Ordo Hymenoptera consists of Formica sp 175 Individuals, Oceophylla smaragdina 54 individuals, the Ordo Odonata consists of Neurothemis terminata 30 Individuals, Brachythemis contaminata 19 Individuals and Pantala flavescens 5 Individuals, Ordo Mantodea consists of Mantis religiosa L 4 Individuals, Ordo Dermaptera consists of Forficula auricularia 1 Individuals. Total composition component of the overall ecosystem of the most lowest Ordo are as many as 21 individual parasitoids that of the Ordo Hymenoptera consisting of Phygadeuon fumator 1 Individuals, Cramastinae sp 3 Individuals, Sarchopaga Carnaria 5 Individuals, Musca domestica 2 Individuals, Lucillia sericata 10 Individuals. The Information on the results of this study are expected to be an alternative example of contextual learning in high school biology class X Basic Competencies 3.8 Describing Indonesia's biodiversity, and conservation efforts as well as the use of natural resources. Keywords: Composition, insects, class, oil palm plantations.

Dosen Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya Jln Raya Palembang-Inderalaya Km 32, Inderalaya Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan email : Anggieyuliantii@yahoo.com   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa pada materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan setelah diterapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Match (ICM) di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas sampel. Metode yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Design dengan bentuk desain one-group pretest-postest design. Data yang diambil berupa hasil belajar  siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t, hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas percobaan pada materi KD 2.1 Untuk tes awal sebesar 50,76 dan untuk tes akhir nya 81,46. Hasil belajar menunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar rata-rata 31,22 sehingga diperoleh indeks gain sebesar 0,64 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Match berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 14 Palembang. Nilai penelitian terhadap aktivitas siswa pada kelas XI IPA 3 selama penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Macth yaitu dalam kategori tinggi.   Kata kunci : Strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Index Card Macth (ICM), hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Abstract This research aims to know the results of student learning on the material tissue structure and function after active learning strategies the type of Index Card Match (ICM) are applied in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang. The population in this research is the all of student in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 14 Palembang school year 2013/2014. The sample in this study is taken using a purposive sampling technique, so that the retrieved class XI IPA 3 as a class sample. The method used is the pre-Experimental Design with form design one-group pretest-postest design. The Data is taken in the form of student learning outcomes. Data analysis, the t test is used, the results of the study showed the average value of student learning outcomes in the classroom experiment on material KD 2.1. For the pre-tests 50.76 and the post-test 81,46. Results of the study showed an increase in average study results 31,22 so that the retrieved gain index 0.64 by medium category. The t-test results showed that the application of active learning strategies Index Card type Match effect significantly to student learning outcomes in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 14 Palembang. The research value of the activity of students in class XI IPA 3 during the application of active learning strategies type Index Card Macth that is high in category Key words: Active learning strategy type Index Card Macth (ICM), the result of study and student activities.

Abstract

Abstract: The research have been done to determine the effectivity of extract ginger (Zingiber officinale) as a repellent against fire ants (Solenopsis sp). The method that used in this experiment is Completely Randomized Design (RAL) method, which are consists of 6 treatments with 4 replicates. The concentration of treatment consists of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% and the quantity of fire ants around 18 for each treatment, and were used for 6 hours of observation at 9, 10, 11 in the morning and at 14, 15, 16 in the afternoon. The result of BJND test proved that the concentration of 5% have shown the rejection against of fire ants and followed by other concentration, whereas the effective time is shown at first hour toward the number of fire ant rejection. This shows that the higher of the concentration of ginger extract, the more quantity of fire ant rejection, while the longer of the exposure time then the less quantity of fire ants rejection. The information on the results of this study can be used as an alternative example of contextual learning in class X Biology Semester II KD 3.7. Applying the principles of classification to classify plants into divisio based on morphological observations and metagenesis plants and associate role in the survival of life on earth. Abstract

Abstract: Research of kenikir leaves ethanol extract were conducted to determine its tonic effect on mice. The method of study is the experimen method which is addressed with a completely randomized design. Sample using 24 male mice, consisted of four treatments and six replications. Treatment dosage were 0 mg/10 g BW, 7 mg/10 g BW, 14 mg/10 g BW and 28 mg/10 g BW. Swim test method was to determine of tonic effect on mice. Swimming duration of mice were analyzed with analysis of variance and test of calculations Least Significant Different (LSD). The results showed an average swimming duration of mice were highest at dose of 28 mg/10 g BW is 814,33 sec. Analysis of variance showed that kenikir leaves ethanol extract effected in increasing highest swimming duration at dose 28 mg/10 g BW. It can be concluded that kenikir leaves ethanol extract were potentialy as a tonic. The results of this study can be contributed to additional mater information of Biological lesson at eleven grade of Senior High School at first term on basic competation 3.5 about the tissue structure of  movement organ system and connect with its bioprocess. Abstract

Abstract:The rTop of Formesearchof diversity and abundance of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi river Palembang have been done. This study aims to determine the diversity and abundance of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi river in Palembang. The method used is a survey method. Determining the location and station of research conducted by purposive sampling method. Sampling the species of the order Coeloptera done by direct sampling, insect nets and traps insects. Samples were analyzed using species diversity index, relative abundance index, dominance index and evenness index. The results were found 437 individuals, 29 species and 12 families of the order Coleoptera. Family of the order Coleoptera, namely Carambycidae, Carabidae, Chrysomilidae, Ciidae, Coccinellidae, Curculionidae, Dystiscidae, Melandryidae, Phalacridae, Scarabidae, Staphylinidae, and Tenebrionidae. The family of Coccinellidae and Chrysomilidae have the highest number of species, namely 8 species. The highest number of individuals was found in the family Chrysomilidae of survey sites Sungai Ijuk, which is a species Lema diversa (114 individuals). Based on the survey area the highest individual number of the order Coleoptera found in the Sungai Ijuk (451 individuals). The species diversity of Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi riverin Palembang different. Diversity index of insect order Coleoptera in four locations in Palembang Musi riverriparian classified as moderate or not so diverse. Evenness index of the order Coleoptera in four survey sites Palembang Musi river riparian lower means quite evenly. Dominance index species of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of Musi River in Palembang showed the value of <0.50, meaning do not happen dominance of certain species. The information of this research results is expected to be the initial information diversity and abundance of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi river Palembang.
