Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the state of physical literacy research in Indonesia and contribute to the global discussion on the development of physical literacy in children. It focuses on: (1) the prevailing themes and focus areas in physical literacy research related to children in Indonesia, (2) how these themes have evolved over time, (3) the dominant methodologies used in these studies, and (4) the gaps and areas identified for future research. The Scopus database was used to select articles containing information on the implementation and impact of physical literacy on children in Indonesia. The search followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. After applying exclusion criteria, only seven articles qualified for in-depth analysis. A review of the literature reveals that the development of physical literacy in children requires a planned approach involving a learning model that integrates fundamental motor skills. Evaluation instruments for physical literacy are also crucial, yet only a few adapted instruments have been tested. Moreover, there is currently no specific framework for physical literacy in Indonesia, despite its reliance on the ecological context of a region. This review identifies that research on physical literacy in Indonesia, particularly for children, remains very limited. Considering the critical role of early childhood development for later life, frameworks, assessment instruments, learning models, and programs to enhance physical literacy for children in Indonesia are notably scarce. Future research is expected to focus on these areas

Abstract

This study is to examine the use of variations in arm muscle strength training in archery because this sport relies heavily on the arm muscles, and physical training for these muscles has a significant impact on the arm muscle strength when pulling the bowstring. The PRISMA guidelines for systematic reviews and meta-analyses were followed in this review investigation. Studies must have been released within the last five years, namely January 2020 to July 2024. The terms used in the search procedure were (1) strength; and (2) archery. The search for this study was conducted using the Scopus research journal database. The findings of this investigation were The overall theme of this study was 97. covering 71 items, 10 of which were selected as relevant. Therefore, it can be said that weight training such as push-ups, pull-ups, and bench dips using tools such as resistance bands and barbells are examples of variations in arm muscle strength training in archery. based on relevant findings, such as improving archery ability, improving muscle strength in archery competitors, improving physical fitness and accuracy in archery competitors, and reducing arm tremors.

Abstract

Badminton is known to be a sport that heavily uses the wrist, therefore badminton has basic techniques, the first being the serve, which is the initial stroke or the stroke to start the match, followed by the smash, dropshot, netting, and lob. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design (Kharisma & Indarto, 2023). This study involved 10 badminton players from PB Surya Gemilang Salatiga. The descriptive statistical results of the pretest and posttest for long badminton serves show a minimum score of 12 and a maximum score of 21. Having a standard deviation of 2.79682 and a mean of 15.6000. Then the minimum posttest score is 28 and the maximum is 40, with a mean of 32.7000 and a standard deviation of 4.19126. The data on the long service results of badminton athletes were tested for normality with an L calculated score of 635 with n 10, and the L table significant α 0.05 which is greater than the L calculated score. The posttest results for the long serve obtained an L calculated score of 142 with n 10, and the significant L table α 0.05 was greater than the L calculated. Thus, it is concluded that the pretest results of the long serve are normally distributed. Based on the homogeneity test, a significance value of 0.501 was obtained. It can be concluded that the data is homogeneous. There is a significant influence between the average score before the treatment and the average score after the treatment, as shown by the paired sample t-test table, where the significance value of 0.01 is less than the significance level (α) of 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the drill method can influence the long serve results of badminton athletes from PB Surya Gemilang Salatiga.Variations in drill methods improve the long serve technique of badminton athletes.

This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection technique used was purposive random sampling. The background of this research is the anxiety of parents whose daughters participate in pencak silat martial arts training. The problem of this research is that is not yet known whether there are differences between the anxiety levels of parents whose children participate in pencak silat martial arts training at Margasari Branch, Margasari Sub District, Tegal Regency. The sample of this study consisted of 35 respondents who were parents of students, comprising 18 parents of female students and 17 parents of male students. The parental anxiety variable was analyzed based on four main factors that is, motoric, cognitive, affective, and somatic. The results showed that of the 18 parents of female students, 11 respondents fell into the high anxiety category, 5 respondents into the moderate category, 3 respondents into the low category, and 0 respondents into the panic category. Meanwhile, among the 17 parents of male students, 4 respondents fell into the high anxiety category, 5 respondents into the moderate category, 8 respondents into the low category, and 0 respondents into the panic category Based on the research findings, it can be conclude that the anxiety levels of parents of female students are higher than those of parents of male students. A significant difference was found between the anxiety levels of parents of female and male students, based on the independent sample t-test (t = 2,536; p = 0,016). The average anxiety level for parents of female students was 49,5, while for parents of male students, it was 39,29. This study recommends further socialization to parents regarding the benefits and safety of pencak silat martial arts training, especially for female, to reduce anxiety levels and enhance their participation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of trampolines as a form of physical activity, focusing on its health benefits, rehabilitation role, and potential risks. The method used was a systematic literature review (SLR) with a PRISMA approach, collecting and analyzing studies from trusted databases such as Scopus published in the last 5-10 years. The results of the review showed that exercise using trampolines provides significant benefits in improving physical functions, such as balance, mobility, muscle strength, and cardiopulmonary function, especially in children, the elderly, and groups with special needs such as children with Down Syndrome. In addition, trampolines also play a role in athlete performance optimization and injury prevention through improved proprioception and reduced muscle asymmetry. However, the effectiveness of trampoline training largely depends on the application of proper technique and professional supervision to reduce the risk of injury. In conclusion, trampolines are safe, effective and inclusive exercise tools for a wide range of age groups and physical conditions, with great potential for use in fitness, rehabilitation and sports performance development programs.

Abstract

Background. Kabaddi is a sport that requires good physical abilities, especially in kabaddi, where the legs are very important for both defensive and offensive players. Variations in the type of foot arch can affect weight distribution, movement efficiency, and postural stability. Objectives. This study aims to analyze the influence of foot arch type (normal arch vs. high arch) on leg muscle explosive power and balance among Kabaddi athletes from Bali"™s provincial training camp. Methods. The research employs a quantitative comparative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consists of 25 athletes (12 males and 13 females) selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Staheli Footprint Index (SFI) to assess foot shape, a vertical jump test for explosive power, and a stork stand test for balance. Statistical analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality and the Mann-Whitney U test for group comparison. Results. Based on the statistical analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test, this study concludes that there are no significant differences between normal arch and high arch foot types in terms of leg muscle explosive power (p = 0.969) and balance (p = 0.238) among Kabaddi athletes from Bali"™s provincial training camp. Conclusion. Further studies with larger and more comprehensive samples are recommended for more accurate results. These findings suggest that foot arch shape is not a primary determinant of Kabaddi athlete performance, and that other factors such as specific training and muscle strength may have a greater impact.
