Abstract

This study aims to determine the projections of the number of school-age residents; ages 7-12 years, ages 13-15 years, and ages 16-18 years; in 2018 to 2025 based on the number of school-age population in 2015, 2016, and 2017. The study also projects the number of students in primary education (SD/ MI and SMP/ MTs) and secondary education (SMA/ SMK/ MA) based on the growing trend of the school-age population. Eventually, the study also calculates the projections of teacher and the projections of infrastructure. The study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods by describing the documentation and interviews. The study was in Sukamakmur Sub-District, Bogor Regency. The result shows that the growth of the elementary age population,7-12 years, has decreased every year. Conversely, secondary school-age population increase every year. Regarding student projections, it is found that there is a difference between the number of students and the number of school-aged residents attending school at the appropriate level. The result also shows that there are some people who are not aged 7-12 attending primary education. The same thing happened to the high school level. This indicates that there are many junior high school graduates who do not continue their education to the senior high school level. Regarding teacher projections of elementary school teachers, the ideal ratio of teachers: students are 1:20, but the reality is 1:29. This shows that it is necessary to add the number of teachers to elementary schools in order to achieve the ideal ratio for the sake of effectiveness of learning. In contrast, junior and senior high school that already meets the ideal ratio, where for junior and senior high school are 1:15 and 1:12 respectively. This shows that there are excess numbers of teachers at the junior and senior high school level. Therefore, it is necessary to increase school enrollment rates

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the impact of self-efficacy and work environment on the self-development of elementary school teachers in Larangan Subdistrict, Tangerang City. Teacher self-development is considered an important element in improving the quality of education, which is influenced by internal factors such as self-efficacy as well as external factors such as the work environment. This study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory research model, involving 80 public elementary school teachers in Larangan Subdistrict, Tangerang City, as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire designed to measure self-efficacy, perceptions of the work environment, and level of self-development. The data were then analyzed using the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis method to determine the effect of the two independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that self-efficacy and work environment simultaneously had a significant influence on teacher self-development with a contribution of 64.4%. This finding suggests that teachers' belief in their abilities (self-efficacy) and the existence of a supportive work environment, such as positive interpersonal relationships, adequate facilities, and a conducive work atmosphere, are the main factors that encourage their self-development. Partially, self-efficacy and work environment each showed a significant positive influence. This study concludes that increasing teachers' self-efficacy and improving the work environment need to be prioritized to support teachers' professional development. The implications of this study are the need for training and mentoring to improve self-efficacy and policies that support a conducive work environment. These results are expected to be a reference for schools and policymakers in designing more effective teacher development programs. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of transformational leadership on teacher compensation and performance in Private Schools in Tambora District, West Jakarta. Compensation in this study includes financial rewards, such as salaries and benefits, as well as non-financial, such as work facilities, training, and appreciation. The correlational research method is used in a quantitative approach, with the location of the research in private schools in the sub-district. The results of the double correlation coefficient significance test showed significant differences in the regression model that explained the variability of teacher performance (F = 8.067, p = .001). In particular, Transformational Compensation and Leadership, as predictors, make a significant contribution in explaining variations in teacher performance. The Coefficients analysis highlights the positive and significant impact of Transformational Leadership (p = .008) and Compensation (p = .022) on teacher performance. These findings support the hypothesis that improved Transformational Leadership and Compensation can improve teacher performance. The implications of this study show the importance of implementing transformational leadership and an adequate compensation system in improving the quality of education in private schools in Tambora District, West Jakarta. Transformational leadership can drive teacher and staff motivation, innovation, and performance, while a decent compensation system can increase job motivation and retain qualified educators. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels, potentially damaging organs such as blood vessels, kidneys, heart, and nerves. Indonesia ranks fifth globally in diabetes prevalence, with 19.5 million cases. According to the 2023 Indonesia Health Survey (SKI), the national prevalence among individuals aged ≥15 is 2.2%, and 1.9% in North Sumatra. Despite extensive research on risk factors, spatial analysis remains limited. This study aims to map the spatial distribution of diabetes cases and associated risk factors in North Sumatra in 2023. A descriptive quantitative method using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis was applied to 39,919 SKI 2023 records. Results identified Medan (28.20%), Deli Serdang (12.97%), and Langkat (8.11%) as areas with very high case rates. Risk factors spatially aligned with case distribution include smoking and physical inactivity. Local governments are encouraged to design area-based interventions targeting modifiable risk factors and strengthen focused diabetes prevention strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the suboptimal competence and work discipline of high school teachers. It aims to understand the meaning, perceptions, experiences, and real practices of teachers related to personality and discipline. A descriptive, qualitative approach was employed, utilizing purposive sampling, with experienced teachers from SMAN 42 East Jakarta. Data were collected through interviews and observations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that personality competence is seen as being a role model through honesty and fairness, while discipline is reflected in a strong sense of responsibility. The primary obstacle is an administrative workload that hampers disciplinary focus, while support is provided through MGMP training and regular character-building programs. The implications underscore the importance of institutional support and policy adjustments in reducing administrative burdens, enabling teachers to focus more effectively on teaching and student character development.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum at ACS Jakarta and its effectiveness in preparing students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). With growing demand for international curricula in Indonesia’s Satuan Pendidikan Kerja Sama (SPK) schools, the study evaluates how IGCSE supports academic transition to IBDP. Using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model, qualitative data were collected through interviews with school leaders, teachers, students, alumni, and parents. Findings show that while IGCSE provides strong academic grounding and subject continuity, it does not fully equip students with the research, writing, and independent learning skills required in IBDP. Stakeholders identified the need for better instructional alignment, skill-based scaffolding, and student-centered academic guidance. The study contributes to understanding international curriculum pathways in SPK schools and offers recommendations to strengthen the IGCSE-to-IBDP transition.
