Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to identify the key aspects of curriculum transformation, challenges in implementation, and the benefits of integrating scientific and religious values. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach through literature review. The findings reveal that interdisciplinary approaches, the use of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and e-learning, and competency-based assessment constitute the core strategies of curriculum innovation. Moreover, the integration of modern scientific knowledge with Islamic values demonstrates strong potential in creating holistic and contextual education. The challenges encountered include teacher readiness, unequal access to technology, and resistance to change. In conclusion, an integrative curriculum model not only enhances the quality of learning but also contributes to the development of Muslim learners who are adaptive, competitive, and ethically grounded.ABSTRAKTujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek perubahan kurikulum, tantangan implementasinya, serta manfaat integrasi nilai-nilai sains dan agama. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan kajian pustaka. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan interdisipliner, penggunaan teknologi seperti AI dan e-learning, serta penilaian berbasis kompetensi menjadi strategi utama dalam inovasi kurikulum. Selain itu, konsep integrasi ilmu pengetahuan modern dengan nilai-nilai Islam menunjukkan potensi dalam menciptakan pendidikan yang holistik dan kontekstual. Tantangan yang dihadapi mencakup kesiapan guru, akses teknologi yang belum merata, serta resistensi terhadap perubahan. Simpulan dari makalah ini adalah bahwa inovasi kurikulum yang integratif tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, tetapi juga membentuk generasi Muslim yang adaptif, kompetitif, dan berakhlak mulia.

Abstract

The disharmony between national education policies and the specific characteristics of Islamic education remains a fundamental issue in the development of Indonesia’s education system. This study aims to critically examine the dynamics of policy and reform in Islamic education amid the challenges of globalization, digital transformation, and decentralized governance. A qualitative-descriptive approach was employed using a library research method, analyzing policy documents, scholarly articles, and statistical data from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The findings reveal significant implementation gaps in curriculum design, funding schemes, digitalization, and teacher certification, which have negatively affected the quality and effectiveness of Islamic educational institutions. These policy misalignments have led to the marginalization of madrasahs in regional autonomy, the weakening of social legitimacy for Islamic education, and insufficient integration of Islamic values within the national education framework. The study recommends a value-based, participatory, and context-sensitive policy harmonization to strengthen the role of Islamic education in national development.ABSTRAKStudi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara kritis dinamika kebijakan dan reformasi pendidikan Islam di tengah tantangan globalisasi, transformasi digital, dan desentralisasi pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, melalui penelusuran dokumen kebijakan, artikel jurnal ilmiah, serta data statistik dari Kementerian Agama dan BPS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesenjangan implementatif pada aspek kurikulum, pendanaan, digitalisasi, dan sertifikasi guru madrasah yang berdampak pada rendahnya kualitas dan efektivitas lembaga pendidikan Islam. Implikasi dari disharmoni ini mencakup marginalisasi madrasah dalam sistem otonomi daerah, rendahnya legitimasi sosial pendidikan Islam, dan lemahnya integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman dalam kebijakan pendidikan umum. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya harmonisasi kebijakan yang berbasis nilai, partisipatif, dan kontekstual, guna memperkuat peran pendidikan Islam dalam pembangunan bangsa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi adaptasi pendidikan Islam dalam menghadapi tantangan dan peluang di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan memilih literatur relevan yang diterbitkan dalam rentang tahun 2019–2025. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui telaah mendalam terhadap jurnal, buku, dan hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan digitalisasi dan pendidikan Islam. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi dan analisis kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam menghadapi beberapa tantangan utama di era digital, seperti bias algoritma, menurunnya pemahaman nilai-nilai keislaman, rendahnya literasi digital, serta lemahnya kemampuan manajerial dalam menghadapi perubahan. Namun, digitalisasi juga membuka peluang besar, antara lain optimalisasi teknologi berbasis kecerdasan buatan, penguatan literasi digital Islami, serta perluasan media dakwah berbasis digital yang efektif dan moderat. Strategi adaptasi yang direkomendasikan meliputi penguatan kurikulum berbasis nilai Islam, peningkatan kapasitas literasi digital etis, dan pengembangan kepemimpinan adaptif di lingkungan pendidikan. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam merumuskan kebijakan dan strategi pendidikan Islam yang berkelanjutan di era digital.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Termasuk dalam pembelajaran Pendiidkan Agama Islam (PAI). Tantangan era digital menuntut sistem pembelajaran yang PAI yang adaftif, interaktif dan relevan dengan karakteristik peserta didik abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam (PAI) di sekolah dasar, Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan literature Review/studi kepustakaan. Literature Review dipilih untuk mengetahui efetivitas integrasi teknologi pendidikan islam dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran efektif . Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari hasil hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dan diterbitkan jurnal online nasional dan prosiding ilmiah. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap 10 penelitian terpilih yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2023 sampai 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran PAI adalah sebuah kebutuhan yang penting di era digital saat ini. Dengan pemanfaatan teknologi, pembelajaran PAI dapat menjadi lebih interaktif, fleksibel dan menarik bagi siswa. Teknologi memungkinkan siswa untuk mengakses materi pembelajaran secara luas, memperdalam pemahaman mereka tentang ajaran islam, dan menerapkan dalam kehidupan sehari hari melalui cara cara yang relevan dan inovatif. Teknologi juga mempermudah proses penyampaian materi dan memeprkaya metode pengajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in strengthening Spiritual Quotient (SQ) and character education within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction at SMPN 32 Bandung. The research employed a quasi-experimental pre-test/post-test control group design involving two groups of students—one receiving CTL-based instruction and the other conventional teaching methods. A total of 60 students participated over an eight-week intervention period. Data were analyzed using ANCOVA to control for baseline differences, along with tests for normality and variance homogeneity. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group’s scores for SQ (Δ = +22.6; p < 0.001), moral virtue (Δ = +17.8; p < 0.005), and civic responsibility (Δ = +24.5; p < 0.001), with large effect sizes (η² ≥0.25). Qualitative data from teacher and student interviews also indicated positive perceptions regarding student motivation and the contextual relevance of learning. In conclusion, CTL-based PAI instruction was more effective than conventional methods in enhancing SQ and character dimensions, while also aligning with the core principles of the Kurikulum Merdeka. It is recommended that schools adopt CTL-integrated modules supported by authentic assessment and stakeholder collaboration. Future studies may explore long-term retention and mediating variables such as student motivation and social support

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) model implemented by Quran Cordoba–BAZNAS in enhancing tajwīd literacy, tafsīr comprehension, and the motivational and emotional engagement of the public—particularly young people—with the Qur’ān. A mixed-methods design was employed: quantitatively, pre- and post-tests of tajwīd literacy (N = 200) and a five-point Likert questionnaire measuring motivational and affective outcomes; qualitatively, in-depth interviews with CSR program stakeholders, Islamic education faculty, and workshop participants. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired t-tests, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis. Results indicate a statistically significant improvement in tajwīd scores (Δ +20.7; p < 0.01) and tafsīr comprehension, with 87% of participants reporting increased motivation for regular Qur’ān study and 92% reporting stronger emotional attachment to the Qur’ān following workshops in calligraphy, structured tadabbur, and “Quran Hour.” The partnership with higher-education institutions under the Tri Dharma framework enhanced program design, ensured academic rigor, and secured sustainable evaluation processes. In conclusion, the Cordoba–BAZNAS CSR model transcends mere mushaf distribution to function as a comprehensive Qur’ān-learning ecosystem, delivering measurable cognitive and affective outcomes. This “Educational CSR” paradigm is recommended as a best practice for publishers and religious organizations seeking to empower Qur’ān literacy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of character education at Pondok Pesantren Mathlaul Huda Ciparay, which combines formal and non-formal curriculum in shaping the character of students. This research uses a qualitative approach with observation methods and in-depth interviews with pesantren administrators and teachers. The results showed that character education at Pondok Pesantren Mathlaul Huda was carried out through the exemplary approach, strengthening moral values, and disciplinary training. The ustadz acts as a model of behaviour that shows discipline and responsibility, which is then imitated by the santri in their daily lives. In addition, special programmes such as Ta'lim wa Tarbiyah and mutual cooperation activities strengthen moral and social values in santri. The influence of this character education can be seen in the social attitudes of santri who are more tolerant, empathetic, and have high social responsibility. In conclusion, an integrated approach that includes moral knowledge, feelings, and actions at Mathlaul Huda Islamic Boarding School has succeeded in shaping the character of students holistically. This research suggests that the character education model in this pesantren can be applied in other educational institutions as an effort to build the character of the younger generation with integrity.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in shaping the character, morals, and ethics of students. However, the challenge faced in PAI learning today is the lack of an approach that encourages students to think critically, analytically, and reflectively towards religious values ​​and the social realities around them. This study examines the effectiveness of implementing Project-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with Islamic values ​​in improving students' critical thinking skills in Islamic religious education. The research method used is a mixed-method approach with a quantitative experimental design, complemented by qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and classroom observations. Data was collected through critical thinking ability tests, project documentation, and teacher and student perceptions regarding the relevance of Islamic values ​​in the learning process. The results showed that implementing the PBL model significantly increased the critical thinking ability score in the experimental group compared to the control group. In addition to improving cognitive performance, qualitative findings revealed increased motivation, engagement, and the formation of ethical and spiritual character among students. The study's conclusion confirms that the integration of Islamic values ​​in PBL enriches the cognitive dimension of learning and contributes to the development of students' character and theological insight as a whole. The implications of this research encourage the development of more adaptive and collaborative learning models, which Islamic religious educational institutions can adopt to answer the increasingly dynamic demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how planning and evaluation within the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) contribute to improving the performance of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Islamic junior secondary schools). The research focuses on the integration between participatory planning and continuous evaluation as foundational pillars in strengthening institutional management in Islamic education. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed, involving two schools in Bandung Regency: MTs Mekar Jaya Bandung and MTsS Amal Sholeh Sukamaju. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were processed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings reveal that planning based on the Madrasah Self-Evaluation (EDM), supported by the use of the digital budgeting system e-RKAM and inclusive stakeholder involvement, provides strategic direction for school management. Systematic evaluations enable schools to revise their action plans based on actual achievements and contextual challenges. Public madrasahs demonstrated higher effectiveness in implementing SBM, particularly in leveraging technology and conducting structured evaluations. The study concludes that the synergy between planning and evaluation within SBM is a key factor in driving sustainable performance improvement in madrasahs, particularly when aligned with local needs. The findings suggest the importance of enhancing contextual managerial capacity and formulating adaptive policies to support diverse madrasah conditions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi nilai-nilai pluralisme dan multikulturalisme dalam pendidikan Islam di tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merespons kesenjangan pemahaman tentang bagaimana pendidikan Islam dapat berperan sebagai instrumen membangun sikap toleransi dan saling menghormati di antara berbagai kelompok masyarakat yang beragam. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 090 Cibiru Kota Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, kepala sekolah, dan sembilan siswa, dilengkapi observasi partisipan dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil menunjukkan 83% pembelajaran PAI mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikultural melalui integrasi kurikulum yang sistematis, peran guru sebagai fasilitator inklusif, dan pengembangan sikap toleransi melalui kegiatan sekolah yang beragam. Namun, pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep kompleks seperti keadilan masih terbatas pada 33% responden. Penelitian mengungkap tantangan meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya, kebutuhan pelatihan guru, dan resistensi orang tua. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan model empiris implementasi pendidikan multikultural yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai universal Islam dengan prinsip keberagaman, mengoperasionalisasikan konsep Rahmatan Lil Aalamiin dalam praktik pendidikan inklusif.
