Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mengembangkan model pembelajaran soft skills terpadu, (2) menganalisis keberhasilan pelaksanaan pembelajaran soft skills terpadu, dan (3) me-nganalisis dampak penerapan model pembelajaran Soft Skills Terpadu dalam pembelajaran Penjasorkes di Sekolah Menengah Pertama terhadap siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research Development). Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII pada 4 SMP Negeri di Kota Yoyakarta. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tahap pengembangan model pembelajaran soft skills terpadu dalam pembelajaran Penjasorkes adalah tahap pendahuluan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi dengam hasil perangkat model berupa buku panduan, perangkat penilaian, dan instrumen pengembangan model pembelajaran. (2) Model pembelajaran soft skills terpadu dalam pembelajaran Penjasorkes menunjukkan tingkat keterlaksanaan yang tergolong sangat baik, memenuhi kriteria valid, sangat efektif, dan sangat praktis. (3) Model pembelajaran Soft Skills Terpadu dalam pembelajaran Penjasorkes di Sekolah Menengah Pertama mampu mengembangkan soft skills siswa.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran soft skills terpadu, pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, dan kesehatan, sekolah menengah pertama DEVELOPING INTEGRATED SOFT SKILLS LEARNING MODEL IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORT, HEALTH, AND RECREATION INSTRUCTION IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLAbstractThis research is aimed at: (1) developing integrated soft skills learning model, (2) analyzing the success of integrated soft skills learning model implementation, and (3) analyzing the impact of the implementation of integrated soft skills learning model in physical education, sport, health, and recreation instruction on the students of junior high school. The research was a research adn development (R D). The subject of the research was students of grade VII in four junior high schools in Yogyakarta Municipality. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative and quantitative descriptive method. The result of the research shows that: (1) The stages of developing integrated soft skills learning model in physical education, sport, health, and recreation instruction include the stages of introduction, development, and evaluation which results model set in the form of handbook, assessment set, and instrument of learning model development. (2) Integrated soft skills learning model in physical education, sport, health, and recreation instruction reveals a very good level of implementation, fulfills the ‘valid’ citerion, is very effective and also practical. (3) Integrated soft skills learning model in physical education, sport, health, and recreation instruction in junior high school is capable to develop students’ soft skills.Keywords: integrated soft skills learning model; physical education, sport, health, and recreation instruction; junior high school

Abstract

Observational learning is one of the activating methods tochange ideas, emotions, and actions in various sports. Lately,observational learning for the sake of the appeal of a psychologicalmethod in sports has been ignored by teachers of physical educationand coaches. This article is hopefully to help convince researchersand practitioners not to forget observational learning as an effectivemethod for the development of skills and psychological responses insports. For that purpose, the article will discuss respectively casestudies in sport activities, the theoretical approach to observationallearning, motor skills and psychological responses, developmentalissues, and possible interventions for Makaila, Harrison, and Feliciaas individuals who have problems in sports.Modeling interventions are highly effective as methods ofdeveloping skills and psychological responses in physical activities.Theories, researches, and applications have given teachers ofphysical education and coaches convincing reasons for the reuse ofobservational learning as a learning method that could developphysical skills and psychological responses in sports. Modelstudying, self-observation techniques, peer models, and imitativemodels are part of the intervention types available that could be usedon children and adults in sport practices, sport competitions, andrehabilitative situations.

Abstract

This article is based on a research whose objective was toinvestigate the nutritional state and physical fitnessof elementaryschool children. For that a survey employing tests and measurementson a sampleof over 500 children obtained through quota randomsampling from a populationoffourth, fifth, and sixth graders at stateelementary schools' in the Yogyakarta Special Province wasconducted. Their nutritional state was establishedby means of theDavenport-Koup formula (Hasnan Said, 1979)and measurementstandardby Sarjono (I 992) while their physical fitness wasdeterminedby means of theTKJI (Tes Kesegaran Jasmani Indonesiaor Indonesian Physical Fitness Test)of 1999. The data wereanalyzed descriptively using percentages.The resultsshow that 2670r 51.4 % ofthese children are in theirnutritional state categorized good, with51 or 10.2 % of this groupcategorized fat and the remaining 2I6 or 41.2 % categorized normal,while 294 or 48.6% of the sample group are categorized sufferingmalnutrition, with 47 or 9.4% of them categorized very fat (oroverweight),184 or 36.8 % of them categorized thin, and 12 or 2.4% of them categorized very thin (or. nutritionally deficit orundernourished). Abstract

Accidents in swimming pools which involve drowning are more likely to happen in Indonesia. Cases of accidents in swimming pools might indicate that there may be lack of  responsibility among the swimmers. Therefore, there is a need to improve this condition. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the Aquares model developed from Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) theory, on the students’ responsibility in swimming lessons. This study used an experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. The study population was students of grade four with a sample of 60 students taken through cluster random sampling. The Tool for Assessing Responsibility-Based Education (TARE) was the instrument used to measure personal and social responsibility. The paired sample t-test analysis showed that there is a significant impact of the Aquares model on the increase of the students’ personal and social responsibility. Aspect of the increased responsibility include: respect, participation, self-direction, caring, and role model. The Aquares model applied in this study provides a strong framework for creating a meaningful and responsible environment for learning.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the profile of the physical fitness of Senior HighSchool students in Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Territory. The resultsof the study are expected to serve as inputs for physical education teachers in thelearning assessment. The results can also be used by educational policy makers inthe curriculum development to take into account of students needs. For students,the results can be used in the reflection to improve their physical fitness and thingsto consider in their active life. This study was a survey study employing a test. Theresearch population consisted of male and female students of Senior High Schoolsin Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Territory. The sample comprised 410students from private and public Senior High Schools, consisting of 235 malestudents and 175 female students. The sample was selected using the multistagerandom sampling technique. The research variable was the profile of the physicalfitness, which was collected using the Copper test by asking the students to runaround the field for the 2.4 km. The data were analyzed by the descriptivetechnique employing the percentage. The study concludes that the studentsphysical fitness is in the category of lack of physical fitness, occupied by 232students (56.6%). The following suggestions are proposed. First, further studiesshould involve other variables, not only the physical fitness, such as the profile ofthe health, including the variables on the body fat, level of glucose, tension andheartbeat. Second, further studies should use other instruments, such as theMultistage Fitness Test or the test of stepping up and down the bench as acomparison.Keywords: physical fitness, Cooper Test

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil penelitian, pemanfaatan hasil-hasil penelitian, upaya yang perlu dilakukan LPPM dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas penelitian, luaran/pemanfaatan hasil-hasil penelitian. Populasi penelitian adalah dosen-dosen yang melaksanakan kegiatan penelitian selama kurun waktu 2007-2011. Sampel penelitian diambil secara purposif sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisa data menggunakan teknik diskriptif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini dapat diketahui jumlah penelitian sebanyak 859 judul. Sumber dana penelitian tersebut berasal dari DP2M dengan skim penelitian Hibah Bersaing, fundamental, Rapid, Stranas, dan DIPA UNY. Profil pemanfaatan hasil penelitian dosen berupa artikel yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal nasional yang belum terakreditasi sebanyak 35 judul, sebagai pemakalah dalam seminar nasional sebanyak 75 judul, seminar internasional sebanyak 21 judul, teknologi tepat guna sebanyak 24 judul, dan buku ajar sebanyak 21 judul. Upaya yang perlu dilakukan LPPM dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas penelitian, reviewer penelitian sesuai bidang ilmu; berkompeten, seminar instrumen dan hasil perlu ditingkatkan kualitasnya, peluang penelitian perlu diperbanyak, serta tawaran penelitian tidak hanya melalui website. Upaya yang perlu dilakukan LPPM dalam meningkatkan kualitas luaran/ pemanfaatan hasil-hasil penelitian adalah mengadakan workshop penulisan artikel nasional terakreditasi/internasional, mendorong terbitnya jurnal yang terakreditasi, dan memfasilitasi bantuan pengurusan pendaftaran HKI

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model permainan polo air sebagai pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani bagi siswa sekolah dasar kelas atas. Model permainan ini diharapkan mampu mengembangkan aspek afektif, kognitif, dan psikomotor bagi siswa sekolah dasar kelas atas. Hasil penelitian berupa model permainan, yang berisikan 10 model permainan, yaitu: (1) permainan satu sapu, (2) permainan lingkaran lumba, (3) permainan jaga kertasnya, (4) permainan estalun, (5) permainan sirip hiu, (6) permainan bom nelayan, (7) permainan lumba berebut bola, (8) permainan lempar target, (9) permainan lempar kejar, dan (10) permainan polo air. Model permainan disusun dalam bentuk buku pedoman dan DVD dengan dengan judul “Permainan Polo Air”. Developing a water polo game model as a physical educational learning for the upper class of elementary school students AbstractThis study aims to produce a water polo game model as a physical education learning for the upper class of elementary school students wich is decent. The simple game model is expected to be able to develop affective, cognitive and psychomotor domains for the upper class of elementary school students. The result of the research is a simple game model consisting of 10 models of the game, namely: (1) satu sapu, (2) lingkaran lumba, (3) jaga kertasnya, (4) estalun, (5) sirip hiu, (6) bom nelayan, (7) lumba berebut bola, (8) lempar target, (9) lempar kejar, and (10) polo air. Model games are arranged in the form of manuals and DVDs with the title “Water Polo Game”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) adakah pengaruh latihan Box jump terhadap vertical jump atlet putra Ganevo usia 14-17 tahun, 2) adakah pengaruh latihan standing jump terhadap vertical jump atlet putra Ganevo usia 14-17 tahun, 3) jenis latihan yang lebih efektif terhadap vertical jump atlet putra Ganevo usia 14-17 tahun. Penelitian ini adalah experiment dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah “two groups pretest-posttest design”. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini tes vertical jump dengan reliabilitas 0,99 dan validitas 0,989. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah Atlet Klub Bola Voli Ganevo Usia 14 – 17 Tahun yang berjumlah 24 Atlet. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan taraf signifikansi 5 %. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: (1) ada pengaruh latihan plyometric box jump terhadap vertical jump atlet bola voli putra Ganevo Usia 14-17 tahun, dengan t hitung (8,660) t table (2,201), dan nilai Signifikansi (0,000) dari (0,05), (2) ada pengaruh latihan plyometric standing jump terhadap vertical jump atlet bola voli putra Ganevo Usia 14-17 tahun, dengan t hitung (3,522) t table (2,201), dan nilai Signifikansi (0,005) dari (0,05), (3) latihan plyometric standing jump lebih baik untuk meningkatkan vertical jump atlet bola voli Ganevo putra Usia 14-17 tahun, dengan t hitung (2,133) t table (1,720), dan nilai Signifikansi (0,026) dari (0,05). Selisih posstest sebesar 1,75 cm. EFFECT OF PLYOMETRIC BOX JUMP AND PLYOMETRIC STANDING JUMP TOWARD VERTICAL JUMP ABILITY IN VOLLEY BALL CLUB ATHLETES AbstractThis study aims to determine: 1) is there any influence of Box jump training on vertical jumps of Ganevo male athletes aged 14-17 years, 2) is there any influence of standing jump exercises on vertical jumps of Ganevo male athletes aged 14-17 years, 3) is there any types of exercises give effective effect toward vertical jump of male athlete Ganevo aged 14-17 years. This research is an experiment study using two groups pretest-posttest design. The instrument in this study was a vertical jump test with a reliability of 0.99 and a validity of 0.989. Subjects in this study were Ganevo Volleyball Club Athletes Aged 14-17 Years, 24 Athletes in total as subjects. Data analysis techniques used the t test with a significance level of 5%.The results of the study concluded: (1) there was an effect of plyometric box jump training on the vertical jump of male volleyball athlete Ganevo Age 14-17 years, with t count (8,660) t table (2,201), and the Significance value (0,000) of (0 , 05), (2) there is the influence of plyometric standing jump training on the vertical jump of male volleyball athlete Ganevo Age 14-17 years, with t arithmetic (3,522) t table (2,201), and the Significance value (0.005) of (0 , 05), (3) plyometric standing jump training is better to increase vertical jump for volleyball athletes of Ganevo men aged 14-17 years, with t arithmetic (2,133) t table (1,720), and significance value (0.026) of ( 0.05). Post-test difference of 1.75 cm.

Abstract

Sebagian besar anggota masyarakat masih mengalami kebingungan atau  keraguan akan perlunya wanita hamil berolahrga. Olahraga tidak berbahaya  bagi  ibu maupun calon anak. Selama tidak ada larangan tidak diperbolehkan  berolahraga  dari ahli kandungan atau dokter, berarti kondisi ibu, dan calon  anak yang dikandungnya dalam keadaan normal, yang berarti seorang ibu yang   sedang hamil ridak perlu  ragu-ragu untuk berolahraga.Setiap orang akan mempunyai pengalaman dan memberikan reaksi yang  berbeda  terhadap kehamilan yang mereka alami. Pengalaman dan reaksi  wanita hamil dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, yakni kepribadian, status gizi,  pola hidup, hubungannya dengan orang tua dan keluarganya serta sikapnya  terhadap kemungkinan  hadirnya seorang anak. Kehamilan adalah suatu fase  krisis maturasi, yang konsekuensinya tidak mungkin untuk dihindari. Usaha  yang dapat dilakukan hanyalah  mengurangi derita yang akan dialami.Salah satu cara yang dapat ditempuh guna mengurangi derita kehamilan dan  persalinan adalah dengan melakukan olahraga atau latihan. Sebelum  melakukan dan  menentukan macam latihan, sebaiknya didahului dengan  konsultasi pada dokter atau  ahli fisiologi. Di dalam melakukan latilian, wanita   hamil harus secara cermat membaca  sinyal-sinyal yang diberikan oleh  tubuhnya. Jika sekiranya latihan tersebut membuatnya  kelelahan, maka  intensitas atau durasinya perlu diturunkan. Jika ternyata gerakan-gerakan  dalam latihan tersebut terlalu sulit untuk dilakukan, maka dapat diganti dengan  latihan yang lain, yang lebih sederhana. Ada beberapa macam olahraga yang  dapat  dipilih, yakni jogging, jalan cepat, senam atau renang terutama gaya  dada.Kata Kunci: wanita hamil, perubahan fisik
