Abstract

Background: National Assessment, including AKM, is designed to measure students' literacy and numeracy skills. However, many teachers find it difficult to develop AKM-based literacy questions due to lack of training. This training aims to improve teachers' understanding and skills in compiling literacy questions based on the AKM Framework through systematic training and mentoring. Methods: Phase I (Preliminary Study): observations, interviews, questionnaires, and literature studies were conducted to analyze teachers' knowledge related to AKM Framework literacy questions and prepare training materials. Phase II (Implementation): a workshop to provide understanding and practice in developing AKM Framework literacy questions with simulations and feedback. Phase III (Mentoring and Guidance): continuously assisting teachers in developing literacy questions. Phase IV (Evaluation): through monitoring, evaluation of training results, and follow-up for improvement. The target of this activity is 40 junior high school science teachers from the Palembang City Science MGMP, who are expected to be able to improve their pedagogical skills and become facilitators in schools. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test, post-test, question development assignments, and feedback questionnaires related to the training. Results: The post-test results showed an increase in teachers' understanding of AKM in the "very good" category reaching 36.8%. The responses of the training participants showed high satisfaction, especially in terms of design, duration, and method of delivering the material, with an average of 80-90% of participants giving positive assessments. Conclusion: This training is expected to not only support the implementation of AKM.

Abstract

The development of interactive infographic learning media helps present learning material in a more visual and engaging way. The first step in this process is analyzing the needs of students and teachers. This study focused on six key aspects: pedagogical, technical, cognitive, aesthetic, socio-cultural, and evaluation aspects. The research took place during the odd semester at Khalifah Annizam Islamic Elementary School in Palembang, involving 16 fifth-grade students and three teachers. A descriptive quantitative method was used to understand the needs of learners, teachers, and learning media. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Guttman scale. The results showed that the highest average percentage in the medium category was found in the pedagogical aspect (61%), technical aspect (55%), socio-cultural aspect (70.8%), and evaluation aspect (56%). Other aspects were in the high and low categories. These findings indicate the need to improve these aspects by developing interactive infographic learning media to support a more effective learning process.

Abstract

The This study is an initial development study that focuses on needs analysis in order to design learning media in the form of flashcards based on the local wisdom of Musi Banyuasin to support the understanding of addition concepts in first grade elementary school. The development model used is ADDIE, with an emphasis on the Analysis stage. The research was conducted at SDN 1 Air Balui, Musi Banyuasin Regency, in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects included 23 first-grade students and two classroom teachers as informants. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The analysis results indicated that most students struggled with abstract addition concepts and showed high enthusiasm for visually appealing, contextual, and locally culturally based learning media. 95.65% of students felt assisted by images in understanding the material, and 100% stated they had never used flashcards before. Teachers also expressed the need for practical, visual, and relevant learning aids. These findings indicate the urgency of developing flashcards based on the Musi Banyuasin culture that can bridge pedagogical needs, cognitive characteristics of young students, and the preservation of local cultural values. This needs analysis serves as an important foundation for the design phase in the subsequent development process.

Abstract

Introduction: HIV is a serious global health problem that requires immediate attention due to its increasing prevalence. Indonesia having one of the highest numbers of cases, while East Kalimantan was one of the provinces with a high number of cases. The availability of HIV testing and counseling services at RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie enabled the researchers to analyze factors that influence HIV occurrence. This study aimed to find a prediction model for HIV status. Methods: This cross-sectional study used secondary data from 7,589 individuals from the Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) Clinic of RSUD Abdoel Wahab Sjahranie from June to December 2023. Data were collected from January to March 2024. The data were analysed using the logistic regression method. Results: It was shown that age, injection drug use, and types of sexual behavior were significantly associated to HIV status. The obtained binary logistic regression model is: HIV status = -4.729-0,032 (age) + 6,862 (injection drug use) + 6,173 (type of sexual behavior). This model could explain 53.8 percent of the variation in HIV status based on the independent variables, with injection drug use as the dominant variable. Injection drug use and risky sexual behavior were significant factors of HIV status. Conclusion: Injection drug users were at greater risk of HIV infection, with the highest odds ratio, followed by persons with risky sexual behavior. Further intervention efforts through expanding service coverage and diagnostic testing for key populations to prevent HIV transmission is needed
