Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan pada analisis kebutuhan dalam pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif berbantuan Aplikasi Canva pada materi Perubahan Kenampakan Alam kelas V SD Negeri 8 Sekayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan angket untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan peserta didik dan guru. Hasil analisis kebutuhan dari 25 guru kelas V dan 30 siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 8 Sekayu menunjukkan bahwa (92%) menganggap penting penggunaan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran dan (84%) menilai multimedia interaktif sangat efektif dalam mengajar. Hasil analisis pada siswa menunjukkan tidak jauh dari hasil analisis pada guru, 93,3% siswa tertarik dengan penggunaan multimedia interaktif dalam pembelajaran, Sebanyak 93,3% siswa tertarik dengan metode pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dan menyenangkan serta 90% siswa berharap adanya fitur kuis atau tes interaktif dalam multimedia pembelajaran IPA dan Sebanyak 86,6% siswa menyukai penggunaan perangkat digital untuk belajar. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran berbantuan aplikasi seperti Canva dapat menjadi solusi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif guna meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the basic science process skills of the students of SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City. The study used a dominant-less dominant design with purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at SMP Class VIII with a population of all class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. The sample used was 18 students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City. The results of the research conducted showed that: (1) grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City on average had basic science process skills at a moderate level in solving questions using a valid instrument, namely the Test of Basic Process Skill (BAPS) as many as 36 questions. science process skills (2) student achievement for each indicator, namely observation by 65%, communication by 61%, clarification by 58%, measurement by 27%, prediction by 32%, and inference by 57%. Keywords: science process skills, test of basic process skills (BAPS) Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam Kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain dominan-kurang dominan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Kelas VIII dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 18 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa: (1) siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam rata-rata memiliki keterampilan proses sains dasar pada tingkat sedang dalam menyelesaikan soal dengan menggunakan instrumen yang valid yaitu Tes Keterampilan Proses Dasar (BAPS) sebanyak 36 pertanyaan. keterampilan proses sains (2) prestasi belajar siswa pada masing-masing indikator yaitu observasi sebesar 65%, komunikasi sebesar 61%, klarifikasi sebesar 58%, pengukuran sebesar 27%, prediksi sebesar 32%, dan inferensi sebesar 57%.  Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, tes keterampilan proses dasar (BAPS)DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i3.pp584-593

Abstract

The transformation of learning in the digital era requires the development of innovative, interactive, and contextual media to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the need for developing interactive multimedia based on Canva as an adaptive learning solution tailored to the characteristics of 21st-century students, particularly for the Earth's Layer Structure curriculum in eighth grade. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis from teachers and students at SMP Negeri 4 Lalan, located in Desa Bumi Agung P18, Lalan District, Musi Banyuasin. The pilot class in this study was class VIII 2, consisting of 20 students. The results of the study indicate a significant need for learning media that can integrate visual elements, animations, and interactivity that are easily accessible and aligned with students' digital preferences. Most teachers face limitations in utilizing conventional media to explain abstract geoscience concepts. These findings serve as the foundation for the development of an interactive multimedia prototype based on Canva, which is expected to enhance students' learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and academic performance. This study provides an initial contribution to the design of responsive and needs-based educational media in the secondary education setting. ABSTRAKTransformasi pembelajaran di era digital menuntut pengembangan media yang inovatif, interaktif, dan kontekstual guna meningkatkan keterlibatan dan capaian belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan multimedia interaktif berbasis Canva sebagai solusi pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap karakteristik peserta didik abad ke-21, khususnya pada materi Struktur Lapisan Bumi kelas VIII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data diperoleh melalui observasi, angket, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi dari guru dan siswa di SMP Negeri 4 Lalan yang beralamat di Desa Bumi Agung P18 Kec. Lalan Musi Banyuasin.  Kelas uji coba dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII 2 yang berjumlah 20 orang.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan signifikan terhadap media pembelajaran yang mampu mengintegrasikan elemen visual, animasi, dan interaktivitas yang mudah diakses serta sesuai dengan preferensi digital siswa. Sebagian besar guru mengalami keterbatasan dalam memanfaatkan media konvensional untuk menjelaskan konsep geosains yang abstrak. Temuan ini menjadi landasan pengembangan prototipe multimedia interaktif berbasis Canva yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar, pemahaman konseptual, serta hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi awal terhadap desain media pembelajaran yang responsif dan berbasis kebutuhan aktual di lingkungan pendidikan menengah.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive view of the use of Canva as interactive multimedia in primary science education. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, selecting articles that met predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, yielding 15 relevant studies. Data were collected through library exploration and extracted using a standardized form. Following Braun and Clarke’s procedure, thematic analysis was applied to identify key patterns and themes across the selected articles. The results show that Canva was predominantly used to create animated videos, e-modular content, and flipbooks to visualize science concepts in primary classrooms. The use of Canva positively impacted cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of student learning. Research and Development was the most frequently applied methodology in the reviewed studies, followed by quasi-experimental designs. Canva’s multimedia and interactive features effectively made science lessons more creative, contextually relevant, and engaging for young learners. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, including limited technological infrastructure, insufficient teacher digital competency, and difficulties in accurately assessing affective and psychomotor outcomes. The study concludes that Canva can be a valuable tool for primary science education if supported by appropriate infrastructure, teacher training, and assessment instruments.

Abstract

Low environmental literacy is caused by a lack of environmental literacy reinforcement, necessitating strategies through four aspects of environmental literacy. This study aims to explore strategies for strengthening students' environmental literacy in schools. This study used a literature review method by reviewing 12 articles from the Google Scholar and Garuda databases published between 2021 and 2024. Data analysis was conducted by identifying patterns, differences, and potential reinforcement strategies. Based on the results of the journal review, there are differences in reinforcement strategies at the three levels of education. At the elementary school level, the strategy focuses on introducing students to the environment to foster environmental awareness. Furthermore, at the junior high school level, students are directed to further develop understanding and skills through environmental project activities. Then, at the senior high school level, students are directed to further strengthen environmental literacy through concrete action activities related to the environment.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on the science process skills (SPS) of grade XI students on respiratory system material. This research used quantitative method with pre-experimental design. Biology learning requires student-centered learning to improve students' science process skills. However, students are rarely involved in teaching and learning activities. The low level of participation of students in biology learning causes the science process skills of students to be less emphasized. The research was conducted by applying the PBL model to class XI.7 at SMAN 1 Palembang with respiratory system learning material. The instruments used included pre-test and post-test SPS tests, as well as a questionnaire sheet for students' responses to learning using PBL. Data analysis was done by normality test, paired t-test, effect size test, and N-gain test. The results showed that there was a significant effect on students' SPS with learning using the PBL model. The PBL model has a positive influence in improving the SPS aspects of observing, classifying, concluding, predicting, and communicating. This is supported by the results of filling out a questionnaire of students' responses to learning using the PBL model as a whole giving a very good response to PBL. This research can be further developed by using further research designs, such as research using a control class to determine the comparison of the effectiveness of PBL models with other learning models

Abstract

Stunting is still become a major public health that causes impaired physical and cognitive growth in children, thus having a long-term impact on productivity, quality of human resources, and the country's economic growth. Data from the 2023 Indonesian Toddler Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI) shows stunting prevalence in East Kalimantan Province, with 22.8% in 2021 and 23.9% in 2022. The study aims to obtain a prediction model of stunting in children 0-23 months in East Kalimantan Province. The study used SSGI 2022 as a data source, an observational study with a cross-sectional approach, and was analyzed using binary logistic regression. The study results showed that the binary model regression model had a classification accuracy of 83.2% and could explain 59.4% of the variation in the incidence of stunting in children aged 0-23 months. The findings indicate that Low Birth Weight (LBW) and maternal height significantly affect stunting in children 0-23 months. Therefore, special attention is needed for adolescents and pregnant women through nutritional education programs to grow to optimal height and for pregnant women to give birth to healthy babies.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is a national educational innovation in Indonesia that promotes flexibility, contextualization, and student-centered learning. Despite its potential, the implementation of this curriculum faces various challenges, particularly in terms of teacher readiness and their perception of the new policy. This study examines the role of innovation attributes as defined by Everett Rogers’ diffusion of innovation theory in influencing the success of the Merdeka Curriculum’s adoption. The five attributes analyzed include relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Using a literature review approach, this analysis focuses on scholarly articles and research reports on the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia published between 2023 and 2025. Findings indicate that relative advantage and compatibility positively contribute to curriculum acceptance, while complexity remains a major obstacle at the practical level. Meanwhile, trialability and observability accelerate adoption at the school level by providing visible and evaluable outcomes. These results have practical implications for policymakers and educational institutions to design more effective implementation strategies, including teacher training and context-based adaptation approaches. By situating the Merdeka Curriculum within the framework of innovation diffusion, this article contributes to a deeper understanding of how policy adoption in education can be better adopted through alignment with innovation attributes.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary grades faces significant challenges, particularly in teaching addition concepts that students perceive as abstract and disconnected from their cultural experiences. The limited availability of engaging, culturally-relevant learning media leads to reduced motivation and suboptimal understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts. This study aimed to analyze the needs for developing innovative flashcards based on Musi Banyuasin local wisdom as teaching media for addition concepts in first-grade elementary schools. A descriptive survey design was employed involving 23 first-grade students and one classroom teacher at SDN 6 Ngulak, South Sumatra. Data collection utilized structured questionnaires examining six dimensions (pedagogical, technical, cognitive, aesthetic, sociocultural, and evaluation) and semi-structured teacher interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with percentage calculations, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis to identify implementation requirements and stakeholder perspectives. Student responses demonstrated overwhelming support for innovative flashcard media, with unanimous agreement (100%) on aesthetic and sociocultural dimensions, indicating strong preference for visually appealing materials incorporating familiar cultural elements. High support was also recorded for pedagogical (84.06%) and cognitive aspects (84.78%), while technical dimensions achieved moderate acceptance (63.04%). Teacher interviews corroborated student preferences and identified specific needs for interactive, visual-based learning materials integrating local wisdom elements such as regional fruits from Musi Banyuasin culture. The findings validate the integration of local wisdom in mathematics education, supporting Vygotsky's sociocultural theory and Mayer's multimedia learning principles. Results demonstrate that culturally-responsive flashcard media can effectively bridge abstract mathematical concepts with students' experiential knowledge while addressing contemporary educational challenges in resource-constrained environments.

Abstract

Kebutuhan informasi akan pelayanan kesehatan yang efisien, tepat waktu, dan efektif sangat penting bagi masyarakat. Aspek penting dalam pelayanan kesehatan adalah rekam medis, yang meliputi pengumpulan, pengelolaan dan penggunaan informasi kesehatan pasien. Dalam hal ini,pegawai yang terlibat dalam pengelolaan rekam medis harus memiliki tingkat kompetensi yang tinggi untuk memastikan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses tersebut.Tujuan dari magang ini yaitu menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan di dunia kerja serta memberikan alternatif pemecah masalah dari kendala-kendala yang dialami oleh rumah sakit. Melibatkan pendekatan observasi dan wawancara dalam model work based learning, penelitian ini memperoleh pemahaman mendalam tentang tantangan pengelolaan data kesehatan di rumah sakit. Penerapan sistem informasi rekam medis terintegrasi dengan perangkat lunak statistik memberikan manfaat tambahan berupa efisiensi operasional yang lebih baik, meminimalkan waktu yang diperlukan untuk analisis data. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mencakup kontribusi pelatihan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pegawai, sementara integrasi teknologi memberikan solusi efektif untuk pengelolaan data kesehatan yang lebih baik.
