Abstract

Certified organic agriculture is a product that has competitiveness and opportunities for export. This study aims to determine and analyze the characteristics of farmers, the total cost and revenue and income of organic rice, ze the level of efficiency, and BEP (Break-Even Point) of certified organic rice farming. The sampling method used in this study was simple random sampling with a sample of 40 farmers calculated using the Slovin formula. The analysis used is: (1) the analysis of the mean score for the characteristics of the farmers, (2) the method of analyzing costs and revenues and farm income, and (3) the analysis of the efficiency of the farming business using the R/C (Return Cost Ratio) analysis method. The research location was determined purposively, namely Dlingo Village, Mojosongo District, Boyolali Regency. The results of the study concluded that: (1) The characteristics of organic farmers were that men are more involved than women, the age of organic farming business practicioners were above 50 years old, most of the farmers in Dlingo village have lived for more than 30 years, the main livelihood farmers in the agricultural sector. (2) Based on the total average cost for organic farming, the certified group has an average of Rp.20,495,000,- and The average revenue was Rp. 35,000,000,-. The income per planting season is Rp. 14.505.000,-. Organic certified farmer groups get an R/C ratio value of 1.7;  the R/C > 1 means that farming with certified organic systems is efficient. Rice farming with a certified organic system is profitable because the BEP value of production volume was 2,927 < farmers' production, while the BEP value for production price was 4,099 < selling price at the farmer level.Keywords: organic rice; income; efficiency;

Abstract

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Indonesian marketplaces were significantly impacted including Shopee app. It is necessary to evaluate the features and services of the Shopee application by looking at the feedback given by the public in Google Play Store reviews. This is what prompted research to be conducted from Kaggle data in the form of Shopee reviews. From this data, sentiment analysis is carried out utilizing the Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest methods. This method are used to classify reviews based on positive and negative sentiments. The results showed that the level of classification accuracy in the Random Forest model is 82.21%. While the SVM model provides a higher level of accuracy of 84.71%. Data exploration on positive and negative sentiment classes is used to find insight into this problem. In positive sentiment, words that often appear such as “belanja”, “aplikasi”, and “barang” are found. As for the negative sentiments, namely “ongkir”, “kirim”, “aplikasi”. These words can be used to be a quality improvement or evaluation for the Shopee company.

Abstract

The aim of organic farming are to make high-quality and nutritious products, safeguarding environmental health, and sustainable soil ecosystems. SOP-GAP is a right and proper way to raising land, the selection of seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, tools, planting, plant maintenance, fertilizing, irrigation, controlling organisms that annoy plants, and harvesting. The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between the economic conditions of farmers and the implementation of SOP-inbakes in the village of Senden, Selo district, Boyolali. This “Argoayuningtani” Farmer Group has received a certificate from the office of the Seloliman certification (LESOS) and has received a certificate consistently meeting the requirements of the SOP sni manual and Internal Control System (ICS). documents The analytical methods used were the formulas for values calculations, the spearman ratio correlation, and the testing of hypotheses. Based on the appraisal of the value for polite application, a value of 77.06 percent would be included in a high percentage. From the calculation of a correlation of the rating between the economic condition of the farmers and the implementation of sop-gap, it is known that the value of rho < 0.05, which indicates that there is a correlation between the farmer's socioeconomic conditions and the implementation of SOP-GAP. Then the corelation value varies between 0,440-0,923, which means it has a moderate, strong, and very strong corelation. From tha analysis, there are several unrelated socio-economic factors, including farming experience with pesticides, and land ownership with land cultivation, selection of seeds, fertilizers, presticides, planting, plant maintenance, irrigation, cultivation, and harvesting.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the perceptions of Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) in Indonesian companies regarding earnings quality and the factors influencing their reporting decisions. It aims to explore the implications of these perceptions for stakeholders, including investors and standard setters. Employing qualitative methodologies, the research collects data through in-depth interviews and surveys administered to CFOs across various sectors in Indonesia. The study examines the relationship between earnings quality and institutional ownership, credit ratings, and the professional backgrounds of CFOs. The findings reveal that nearly 95% of CFOs perceive earnings as critical for investors in valuing companies, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and the absence of one-time items as key attributes of high-quality earnings. Additionally, a significant correlation exists between institutional ownership and earnings quality, while CFOs with public accounting backgrounds report higher perceptions of earnings quality compared to their counterparts. The study highlights that firms with higher credit ratings tend to demonstrate greater earnings quality. The results underscore the importance of transparent and reliable financial reporting practices for CFOs, suggesting a need for improved accounting standards that address the complexities of earnings quality. Investors are encouraged to consider the sustainability of earnings when making investment decisions. This research contributes to the understanding of earnings quality in emerging markets, specifically within the context of Indonesian corporate governance. It bridges the gap between academic theories and practical insights from financial executives, offering valuable implications for future research and policy development.
