Abstract

Lahirnya Undang-Undang No. 8 Tahun 2016 tentang Penyandang Disabilitas dan didirikannya Komisi Nasional Disabilitas pada tahun 2021 telah mendorong semakin terbukanya kesempatan untuk memperoleh kehidupan dan penghidupan yang layak secara inklusif tanpa diskriminatif bagi para divable. Salah satu indikator yang terlihat dengan mudah dan jelas adalah banyaknya sekolah / perguruan tinggi yang menerima peserta didik dari penyandang disabilitas, khususnya disabbilitas netra. Hal yang sama juga terjadi di dunia kerja, dengan semakin banyaknya instansi perkantoran pemerintah dan perusahaan swasta yang memberi kesempatan bagi penyandang disabilitas untuk menjadi pegawai di tempat mereka. Salah satu keterampilan dasar yang dipersyaratkan bagi penyandang disabilitas Netra untuk dapat memperoleh peluang tersebut diantaranya adalah terampil dalam menggunakan Bahasa Inggris dan menggunakan Komputer.Bimbel Lentera Inklusif merupakan satu dari sedikit Yayasan yang memberikan layanan pelatihan Komputer dan Bahasa Asing, termasuk Bahasa Inggris bagi penyandang disabilitas. Bimbel ini didirikan pada tahun 2022 oleh pemuda penyandang disabilitas Netra. saat ini peminat program kelas percakapan Bahasa Inggris dari kalangan penyandang disabilitas netra di Bimbel semakin meningkat dan berasal dari berbagai daerah di seluruh Indonesia. Namun sayangnya, karena keterbatasan sumber daya, program Bahasa Inggris yang ditawarkan dirasa kurang efektif untuk tujuan pembelajaran percakapan (English Conversation). Program kursus Bahasa Inggris yang ada di Bimbel masih menggunakan pendekatan sturktural. Melalui kegiatan pendampingan ini, Tim PKM Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Asuransi Trisakti bermaksud untuk membantu Bimbel Lentera Inklusif dalam Menyusun Disain Instruksional “Program English Conversation Class” yang ramah bagi guru dan siswa penyandang disabilitas netra. kegiatan Pendampingan ini didanai oleh Program Dana Hibah PKM Kemendikbudristek RI tahun 2023. Sebagai Luaran utama dari kegiatan ini adalah tersusunnya purwa rupa Disain Instruksional Inklusif Program Percakapan Bahasa Inggris yang ramah bagi buru dan siswa penyandang disabilitas netra

Abstract

In the context of art as a language, ornament also functions as a visual language, because in Javanese culture there is a tradition to express an idea, expression, and moral message containing learning about noble morals through ornamentation.  This paper aims to analyze what are the noble moral-based learning contained in ornaments in Kraton Yogyakarta and what influenced them. Data were obtained through field observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results showed that the decorative figural art and ornamentation in Javanese culture are not only visually captivating but also convey profound cultural, religious, and moral meanings, making them an essential part of the Javanese cultural heritage. The visual narrative of ornaments was mainly influenced by cultural acculturation in Javanese society, while noble character-based learning was the result of religious syncretism and belief in Javanese culture.

Abstract

This research aimed to see the phenomenon of the bia music of the Minahasa tribe that needed to be carefully observed in considering Bia Music then until now was shifting and changing due to the society’s lack of awareness towards Bia Music. This traditional music was very concerning due to the decreasing quantity and quality of the players. The objectives of this research were to analyze: (1) the traditional music heritage and preserving tradition across generations and (2) the educational process in traditional musical performances. The research applied a qualitative method with data collecting techniques by interview, observation, and literature review. Data validation technique based on credibility criteria, using data triangulation. Data analysis techniques consisted of collection, data presentation, data reduction, and data verification. The results of the study show that the younger generation realizes that bia music has become distinctive music that belongs to the community. This music has become part of the social life of the people in Batu village, North Minahasa, so that the educational process in society occurs naturally as a model of inheritance that occurs continuously in society.

Abstract

Tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.), a type of tropical plant that grows in Indonesia has various benefits and has been widely studied by various disciplines. The study of Tamarind as a source of ideas for art creation, on the other hand, has not been widely carried out. The aims of this study are: (1) To explain the process of creating Semarang batik motifs using the idea of Tamarind through the stylization of forms; (2) to analyze the shape of the Tamarind batik motif to strengthen the identity of Semarang’s local culture. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to examine phenomena related to the creation process and the uniqueness of locality-based batik motifs on batik artisans in Semarang City. The data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The data that has been collected was analyzed interactively through data reduction, presentation, and conclusions with the scope of analysis in intra-aesthetic and extra-aesthetic studies. The results showed that: (1) Tamarind is a typical plant that is closely related to the toponym of the city of Semarang so it becomes a source of ideas for the creation of locality-based batik motifs through the stylization technique by Semarang batik artisans; (2) Visualization of the shape of the Tamarind batik motif that has been produced shows the diversity and uniqueness of the form as an aesthetic expression of the batik artisan in responding to the beauty of the natural and socio-cultural environment in Semarang City according to the level of knowledge and aesthetic experience. This research contributes to the batik artisan in exploring the diversity of local plant species as a source of ideas for creating environmentally-based batik motifs to strengthen the value of local cultural identity.

Abstract

Remaja di Indonesia menjadi perhatian utama dalam kesehatan mental. Generasi yang disebut Gen-Z dimungkinkan mengalami depresi dan sedikit minat dalam melakukan sesuatu hal. Menyendiri merupakan jalan terbaik yang diambil sebagai jalan akhir. Karena IPTek (Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi) sekarang ini berkembang pesat dengan kemudahan yang didapat melalui Handphone. Aktivitas berkesenian yang menjadi titik dalam penyelenggaraan penelitian ini. Sebagai upaya, membuat kesibukan bersama agar lebih berkualitas mengenal diri sendiri dan orang sekitar sebagai solusi yang dapat ditawarkan. Pendekatan yang digunakan Fenomenologi. Kekuatan pada observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara menjadi poin utama untuk membangun remaja menyalurkan emosi pada karya lukis. Penelitian ini tidak menjamin sembuhnya seseorang terhadap kesehatan mental yang dihadapi. Fokus lebih pada proses pencegahaan. Hasil yang diharapkan yaitu proses yang dilakukan sebagai tempat berbagi pengalaman mengalami, pemahaman, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan berkarya agar bisa lebih bervariasi. Sehingga, diharapkan dapat menjadi sebuah pembangkit dalam aktifitas art therapy

Abstract

Pengarusutamaan gender dalam pendidikan seni merupakan langkah strategis untuk menciptakan kesetaraan gender yang mendukung pengembangan potensi individu tanpa batasan peran gender. Artikel ini membahas pentingnya integrasi perspektif gender dalam kurikulum, kebijakan pendidikan, dan praktik pengajaran seni berperspektif gender. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan seni masih dipengaruhi stereotip gender yang membatasi representasi perempuan dalam kurikulum dan kesempatan berekspresi seni. Pengarusutamaan gender melalui kurikulum yang inklusif, pengakuan perbedaan cara ekspresi seni, dan lingkungan pembelajaran yang mendukung dapat meningkatkan kesetaraan gender khususnya dalam pendidikan seni. Melalui pendidikan seni yang responsif gender, diharapkan tercipta masyarakat yang lebih inklusif dan dapat menjadi alat pemberdayaan bagi semua pihak, tanpa memandang gender.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mencari tahu sejauh mana kemampuan para lulusan STMA TRISAKTI Prodi Asuransi Jiwa Lulusan 2018-2019 dalam menyusun paragraf pada TA (Tugas Akhir) mereka, utamanya dalam membuat struktur paragraf dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan fokus pada Kalimat Utama dan Kalimat Pendukung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Analisa Kesalahan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam bahasa tulis dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, komparatif, dan kuantitatif sederhana. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 10 TA atau 20 paragraf yang diambil secara acak dan anonim dari TA lulusan 2018-2019. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama dua tahap, yaitu: tahap 1 mengumpulkan dan memilih dokumen-dokumen TA yang akan diteliti, dan tahap 2 menganalisa dan membuat laporannya berdasarkan kaidah-kaidah/ tolok ukur yang sudah ditentukan. Adapun parameter/ indikator yang digunakan sebagai acuan dalam analisis kesalahan adalah: ketepatan penulisan Kalimat Utama dan Kalimat Pendukung dalam penyusunan paragraf yang kemudian dihitung jumlah kesalahan yang dibuat secara prosentase kuantitatif sederhana. Hasilnya menunjukkan ternyata hanya 1 paragraf atau 5% dari 20 paragraf atau 100% yang disusun dengan tidak lengkap. Artinya sejumlah 19 paragraf atau 95% disusun dengan lengkap.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out a link and match between the need of English knowledge for people working in insurance business and insurance companies and the materials provided for STMA students learning English for Insurance as a model of a Need Analysis in English language learning and teaching, besides as a base for the module or book intended to write for the subject: English for Insurance. The objectives are: 1) to find out the percentage of the use of English in insurance business and insurance companies, 2) to find out the needs for Listening Skill, 3) to find out the needs for Speaking Skill, 4) to find out the needs for Reading Skill, 5) to find out the needs for Writing Skill, and 6) to find out the needs for English components (Grammar/Structure, Vocabulary, Insurance Terms). The need analysis approach used are those introduced by Hutchinson and Holet. The research methods used are simple quantitative using percentage, and qualitative and comparative methods to analyze and make conclusions. The research technique used is a questionnaire with 31 items for 6 issues, disseminated using google form with a link. The respondents are 38 people working in insurance business and insurance companies taking at random. The results show that: 1) English is used relatively high (from 38 respondents, 9 respondents say 50%, another 9 respondents say 75%, and even 1 says 100 %), 2) Listening Skill is relatively needed in their work (from 38 respondents, 24/63.12%-33/81.53% support the statements), 3) Speaking Skill is relatively needed in their work (from 38 respondents, 28 73.64%-33 /81.53% supports the statements).

Abstract

This research discusses the development of painted batik inspired by traditional Nusantara dance as a creative foundation. The selection of the painted batik technique in this theme aims to combine two traditional art forms traditional dance and batik to create a unique fusion of cultural heritage. This study introduces novelty by highlighting various traditional Nusantara dances, such as the Legong Dance, Burung Enggang Dance, and Gambyong Dance, as sources of inspiration for painted batik creation. This enriches batik art by incorporating broader and more diverse cultural elements. The creation process includes conceptual stages, idea visualization through sketches and designs, and application on primisima mori fabric. Hand-drawn batik techniques and colet coloring are employed in producing seven painted batik artworks of varying sizes. The selected Nusantara dances include the Legong Dance, Burung Enggang Dance, Jaran Kepang Dance, Gambyong Dance, Topeng Klana Dance, Topeng Betawi Dance, and Merak Dance. Each artistic visualization in the painted batik reflects the movements, decorative patterns, philosophy, and meaning embedded in traditional dance. This research aims to produce artworks that offer novelty and innovation by visualizing traditional Nusantara dance in painted batik. The findings indicate that the visualization of traditional Nusantara dance in painted batik is successfully realized through the exploration of movement, decorative patterns, and the philosophy of each dance. The resulting works showcase the unique characteristics of each dance with an innovative aesthetic approach. Additionally, this research contributes to cultural preservation by introducing traditional dance through the medium of painted batik and enhancing public appreciation of traditional arts.

Abstract

The transition to an urban lifestyle has led to a transformation of meaning towards traditional objects such as sarongs. Illustrations are used by the Sobat Gurun Brand as a strategic visual representation in building a new meaning for sarongs as part of young people's self-expression in contemporary situations. This study aims to analyze the use of illustrations as a visual representation medium that reconstructs cultural meaning through Roland Barthes' semiotic approach and Stuart Hall's theoretical representation. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through visual observation of Sobat Gurun sarong products through its official website. The results show that the illustrations used are not limited to decorative ornaments, but function as a medium for constructing visual meaning. Cartoon characters, humorous expressions, and popular visual narratives become cultural signs that shift the meaning of sarongs from religious symbols to symbols of urban lifestyle and the identity of the younger generation. This visual strategy is considered effective in re-representing local culture to make it relevant to modern society
