Abstract

This study aims to analyze the evolution of research on the digital divide in education and strategies for digital inclusion through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 26 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025. Using the PRISMA approach, data were categorized by research focus, year, and journal quality, followed by thematic and bibliometric analysis. The results reveal a significant shift from access-oriented research during the COVID-19 pandemic toward technology-based pedagogical innovation and sustainable digital inclusion strategies. Three main phases emerged: access and digital literacy (2020–2021), pedagogical innovation through Learning Management Systems and Game-Based Learning (2022–2023), and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality in inclusive education (2024–2025). Socio-economic and gender factors significantly influence digital literacy outcomes, while technology-driven pedagogy enhances learning participation. The study concludes that effective digital inclusion requires a multidimensional approach integrating social, technological, and policy aspects. The findings provide a theoretical foundation for future research and evidence-based policymaking in equitable digital education.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of students’ learning motivation to retention in biology learning. This research is included in quantitative research. The research sample was 56 students. To measure learning motivation, the ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence and Satisfaction) motivation questionnaire was used which was adapted from Keller (2010) with a total of 36 statements. Retention was measured using an essay test which was carried out 2 weeks after the posttest. Student answers were then measured using Hart's (1994) rubric. A simple linear regression analysis was carried out to see the effect of students’ learning motivation toward retention. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant effect of students’ learning motivation toward the retention. Based on the regression results, it is known that the R value is 0.654, which indicates that there is a correlation in which a strong relationship between motivation and retention. Motivation has a contribution of 42.8% to retention and 57.2% is influenced by other factors. It can be concluded that learning motivation can encourage working memory performance so that the flow of information can be processed in the long-term memory.

Abstract

Civic Education (PKn) plays a strategic role in shaping citizens who are characterized, have integrity, and actively participate in community life. However, in many schools, PKn learning still tends to emphasize cognitive aspects so that character values are not optimally internalized. This study aims to describe character-based Civic Education learning strategies and their impact on students’ social morality at MTs Ash-Shahihiyah Rosep Blega Bangkalan. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of one Civic Education teacher, the principal, and six students as key informants. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that active, creative, and innovative learning strategies were consistently implemented through group discussions, case studies, contextual media usage, and ice-breaking activities. The cultivation of values such as mutual cooperation, integrity, and independence significantly improved students’ social awareness, discipline, and sense of responsibility. Students’ social morality developed through the habituation of honesty, fairness, and responsibility, modeled by teachers and supported by the school environment. This study affirms that character-based PKn learning is effective in shaping students’ moral behavior and fostering a participatory classroom climate. The implication of this research is that schools must provide adequate facilities and encourage teachers’ innovation in designing character-based learning strategies to ensure that learning outcomes are not only cognitive but also character-building, in line with the Profile of Pancasila Students.

Abstract

One of the important things in the tradition of shaking hands is understanding its context. Some regions have specific meanings in carrying it out. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of the tradition of shaking hands using ethical philosophy research (Living Philosophy). In addition, this research is examined because some people view it from the perspective of religious doctrine. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive-analytical methods, utilizing observation, interview, and documentation approaches, targeting the community in Pringgolayan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The research then found that the local community has very strong family and brotherhood values. Evidenced by the similarity of opinions and references from each informant. The Pringgolayan community realized that there was a change after seeing that the environmental conditions that were previously urban individualistic, then shifted to a society with socialism. The tradition of shaking hands then became a permanent culture with a high sense of harmony between individuals. This study confirms a harmony between individuals. And the new value that can be taken is a self-respect for fellow community members without regard to social status and background of each individual.
