Abstract

Perubahan iklim merupakan permasalahan yang terus berkembang dan bersifat multidimensional karena berdampak pada seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia. Salah satu program sebagai wujud kepedulian terhadap perubahan iklim adalah Program Kampung Iklim (ProKlim) yang merupakan program pemerintah berskala nasional dan bertujuan untuk mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dan pemangku kepentingan lain. Proklim dilakukan sebagai langkah nyata aksi mitigasi dan adaptasi terhadap perubahan iklim yang berisiko pada seluruh lapisan masyarakat agar memberikan manfaat sosial, ekonomi, kesehatan lingkungan dan ketahanan pangan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pendampingan terhadap kegiatan Proklim berbasis partisipasi masyarakat untuk menghadapi perubahan iklim dan strategi adaptasi yang bisa diterapkan. Lokasi pengabdian kepada masyarakat sekaligus sebagai mitra yaitu di Desa Montong Baan Selatan, Kecamatan Sikur, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan sosialisasi, diskusi dan pendampingan kepada seluruh masyarakat tentang perencanaan dan pelaksanaan adaptasi dan mitigasi perubahan iklim. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Montong Baan Selatan telah memahami tujuan, manfaat dan cara melaksanakan kegiatan Proklim. Selain itu, tingkat kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat terhadap Proklim sudah mulai terbentuk sehingga lebih aktif dalam menerapkan strategi adaptasi dan mitigasi terhadap perubahan iklim. Selain itu, perlu adanya evaluasi terkait implementasi program agar dapat dirasakan oleh berbagai lapisan masyarakat, sehingga pembangunan berkelanjutan dalam adaptasi dan mitigasi perubahan iklim dapat tercapai.

The dust binder ratio also influences the asphalt film thickness, which plays an important role in increasing the resistance of asphalt mixture to humidity and temperature. The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of the dust binder ratio and asphalt film thickness on the volumetric properties of mixtures with various aggregate particle size distributions. Based on the analysis results, it was concluded that the dust binder ratio is inversely proportional to the thickness of the asphalt film. The dust binder ratio and asphalt film thickness had a significant effect on the volumetric properties of the mixture. The greater the value of the dust binder ratio, the more voids in the mixture, whereas the voids in the mineral aggregates and the voids filled with bitumen decreased. The thicker the asphalt film, the fewer the voids in the mix, and the voids in the mineral aggregates and those filled with bitumen increased. In this study, the volumetric properties of the mixture that met the Bina Marga specifications were obtained through the use of filler and asphalt with a dust binder ratio value between 1.2-1.32.

Abstract

Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi yang semakin berkembang maka akan berdampak terhadap perilaku anak-anak terutama dalam hal menggunakan kendaraan. Banyak dari Anak-anak ini yang mengendarai sepeda motor ataupun sepeda listrik yang saat ini sedang digandrungi oleh anak-anak, padahal mengendarai sepeda motor itu untuk anak anak tidak diperkenankan /dilarang dan pengguna sepeda listrik wajib menggunakan helm dan usia minimal 12 tahun. Tentunya hal ini bisa memicu terjadinya kecelakaan lalu lintas, karena anak-anak kurang memahami pengetahuan yang terkait dengan rambu lalu lintas. Berdasarkan hal tersebut perlu adanya pemberian pengetahuan berlalulintas pada anak usia dini agar terbentuk kebiasaanya dalam memperhatikan rambu-rambu lalu lintas sehingga dapat mematuhi aturan yang berlaku. Diharapkan dengan pengabdian ini akan memberikan pemahaman yang berkaitan dengan rambu-rambu lalu lintas pada siswa SDN 1 Jembatan Kembar Timur. Abstract

Cold Emulsion Asphalt Mixture (CAED) uses unheated emulsified asphalt, thus reducing gas emissions and health risks for workers. Volumetric characteristics and aggregate gradation are very important to assess the quality of CAED. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the volumetric characteristics of CAED, namely Void in Mix (VIM), Void in Mineral Aggregate (VMA), and Void Filled with Bitumen (VFB), with variations in filler (cement, lime) and aggregate gradation (dense, open). The study used a laboratory experimental method, including material preparation, sample preparation with five variations of filler, testing VIM, VMA, and VFB values, and data analysis. This study shows that the volumetric characteristics of CAED with closed and open gradations meet the VMA and VFB specifications, but the VIM value is only met in the closed gradation of CAED with a variation of 50% cement:50%. Better aggregate interlocking in closed gradations results in smaller air voids. Closed gradations are recommended for heavy traffic, while open gradations are suitable for well-drained roads and light traffic

Abstract

The innovative processing of palm sugar from the sugar palm tree has great potential as a superior product of Guntur Macan Village, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency, but still faces various challenges, especially in terms of legality and marketing. Many business actors in Guntur Macan Village do not yet have LPH halal certification and BPOM distribution permits, which are obstacles in expanding the market and increasing the selling value and competitiveness of products. This community service program aims to improve the understanding and skills of palm sugar business actors in obtaining business legality through a series of activities, such as MSME surveys, socialization, and assistance in making certifications. The results of the activities showed that before the socialization, the majority of business actors did not have permits due to limited knowledge and cost constraints. However, after the socialization, 88.4% of participants understood the importance of business legality, and most considered this program useful in increasing product competitiveness. Further assistance is needed to simplify the licensing process and provide access to capital for business actors so that they can develop more optimally and increase the selling value of palm sugar products.

Abstract

Flexible pavement construction widely employs asphalt as the primary binding material due to its ability to coat aggregates and form a strong, cohesive structure. However, the growing demand for asphalt and rising prices driven by global oil market fluctuations pose significant challenges to its availability. Therefore, alternative solutions are needed to reduce reliance on pure asphalt while enhancing the performance of asphalt mixtures. One promising alternative is the utilization of waste plastic in the form of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), which has been shown to improve mixture stability, resistance to permanent deformation (rutting), and durability against moisture damage, while also contributing to sustainable waste management. This study aims to evaluate the effect of HDPE addition on the characteristics of Asphalt Concrete - Binder Course (AC-BC) mixtures. Based on the volumetric and mechanical analysis of the AC-BC mixture, adding HDPE increases stability and density with a decrease in VMA and VIM and an increase in VFA. Stability increases significantly up to 12%, but flow exceeds the specification limit at a content of ≥8%, and the Marshall Quotient decreases, indicating a decrease in stiffness. According to the Bina Marga specification (2018), the maximum HDPE content meets the requirements is 4%. A multi-criteria approach is needed to determine the best HDPE content that balances strength, flexibility, and long-term deformation resistance

Abstract

Tahap perkembangan remaja pada siswa SMA/SMK membawa pengaruh pada pengelolaan emosi yang berdampak terhadap perilaku berlalu lintas. Untuk meningkatkan kesadaran serta mengurangi resiko kecelakaan berlalu lintas pada usia remaja, diperlukan pendidikan keselamatan berlalu lintas berupa kegiatan sosialisasi keselamatan berlalu lintas. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilaksanakan di SMKN 1 Mataram dengan kondisi lalu lintasnya yang cukup padat. Kegiatan sosialisasi diawali dengan pretest untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan siswa terhadap keselamatan berlalu lintas. Kemudian pemaparan materi yang disampaikan oleh Ditlantas Kepolisian Daerah Nusa Tenggara Barat, Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat dan dosen/civitas akademik Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Mataram. Setelah itu, dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab dan kuis untuk menguji serta memperdalam pengetahuan siswa terhadap topik yang disampaikan dengan cara yang interaktif. Kegiatan sosialisasi ditutup dengan penyerahan simbolis alat keselamatan jalan kepada Kepala SMKN 1 Mataram untuk demontrasi nyata penggunaan alat keselamatan jalan di lingkungan SMKN 1 Mataram. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa para siswa telah mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai keselamatan berlalu lintas di jalan.

Abstract

The induction stove transition program in Sandik Village, Batulayar District, West Lombok Regency, was initiated to support the government's push for more efficient and eco-friendly energy use. Despite the benefits of induction stoves-such as energy efficiency, safety, and environmental advantages-LPG remains the dominant cooking fuel due to limited public awareness. The program involved education, practical demonstrations, and efficiency comparisons between induction and gas stoves, while also identifying challenges like limited household electricity and entrenched cooking habits. Evaluation results show improved community understanding and operational skills, along with increased awareness of clean energy transitions. This initiative strengthens the community’s readiness to adopt induction stoves and offers a replicable model to support sustainable energy policies in other regions.

Abstract

Salah satu kelemahan dari bambu adalah ketidakmampuannya dalam menahan tekanan geser, terutama pada bagian sambungan. Oleh karena itu, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bambu dalam menahan tegangan geser, para peneliti melakukan studi seperti penambahan bahan pengisi dan penggunaan klem dari plastik serat. Namun, penerapan klem plastik serat masih dirasa kurang mampu untuk mencegah terjadinya kegagalan geser pada bambu. Berangkat dari fakta ini maka dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan performa sambungan bambu klem dengan penambahan pengisi plastik PET. Sistem sambungan yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari pelat buhul, klem, bambu berpengisi, dan baut sebagai konektor. Variasi baut yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah baut dengan diameter 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, dan 19 mm. Benda uji yang telah dirakit dilakukan pengujian menggunakan jack hidrolik dengan bantuan rangka pembebanan. Beban diterapkan secara bertahap sampai terjadi kegagalan pada sambungan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar diameter baut semakin besar kuat tarik sambungan bambu yang dihasilkan. Kontribusi pengisi pada sistem sambungan di pengujian ini hanya berkisar sebesar 10%. Pola kegagalan yang terjadi pada sambungan bambu adalah pola kegagalan tipe I, hal ini ditandai dengan terjadinya kerusakan pada bambu, pengisi dan baut yang bengkok khususnya pada baut diameter kecil (kelangsingan besar).

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower residents of Sandik Village, Batulayar District, West Lombok, in preparation for the transition from using LPG gas stoves to electric stoves. Given the urgent need to switch to more environmentally friendly energy, this activity focuses on electrical installation training that meets safety and efficiency standards. This training is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of installation procedures, handling of electrical equipment, and safety in using electric stoves. The training activities involve the participation of experienced electricians and practitioners, who provide comprehensive materials and demonstrations. Participants are trained in correct electrical installation techniques, and are taught about the importance of regular maintenance and inspections to prevent potential hazards. In addition, this program also includes giving prizes to outstanding participants and handing over donations of electric stoves to the village office as a symbol of support and commitment to the energy transition. The results of this program are expected to include increasing community knowledge and skills in carrying out electrical installations, as obtained from the results of the participant knowledge test which averaged above 70, or 68%, in addition to the readiness of household infrastructure for the use of electric stoves, and strengthening awareness of the importance of clean energy. The success of this program will be measured based on an assessment of the improvement in participants' skills, readiness of installation in residents' homes, and the ability of the community to adopt new technologies effectively and sustainably.
