Abstract

The research purpose was to develop a model of profit maximization that can be applied to the giant gourami culture. The development of fish growth model used polynomial growth function. Profit maximization process used the first derivative of profit equation to culture time equal to zero. This research also developed the equations to estimate the culture time to reach the size target of fish. The research has been proven that this research model could be applied in the giant gouramy culture. In the case of this study, the giant gouramy culture can achieve the maximum profit at 324 days and the profit of IDR. 7 847 700 per culture cycle. If we used a size target 500 g, the culture of the giant gouramy need 135 days of culture time.

Abstract

The high demand for blue swimming crab resources and the consequences of open access conditions will have a negative impact that leads to inefficiency both technically and economically. The step in managing the economy in order to remain sustainable and obtain optimal benefits is to pay attention to the relationship between implementation efforts based on biological and economic aspects. This study aims to determine the potential and determination of blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) resource in the Waters of Bangka Belitung Archipelago Province. The research method uses a descriptive method with quantitative analysis of the Gordon-Schaefer bioeconomic model approach. The results showed that the potential of blue swimming crab resources in 2014-2018 decreased in production. The highest production occurred in 2014 at 9,685 kg while the lowest production occurred in 2015 at 6,049 kg. The estimation of the Gordon-Schaefer bioeconomic model shows that the production of blue swimming crab under MSY conditions in 2014-2016 is thought to have occurred biologically overfishing due to excessive effort. MEY conditions indicate that production in 2014,2015,2014,2018 is said to have experienced economic overfishing. If the OAE condition shows that the utilization of blue swimming crab resources is inefficient and causes big losses including biological, environmental, social and economic aspects. The management that can be carried out is 1) Arrangement of regulatory efforts, namely setting the number of trips and setting patterns and seasons. 2) Policy in setting prices in fisherman's operational costs.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Tuna Longliner or Tuna Longliner is fishing gear for a large pelagic fish, including Tuna. One unit of Tuna Longlinerr usually operate are 1000-2000 off the hook for once. Tuna Longliner generally operated on the high seas or ocean waters. Fuel is the largest production factor of Tuna Longliner. Fuel prices tend to rise is expected to affect the productivity and business feasibility. This study aims to assess the productivity and business feasibility Tuna Longliner at Cilacap district. Research carried out in PPS Cilacap in August until September 2008, using survey methods. Primary data collected are: the price of fish, size of vessel (GT), composition of the catch, and volume production. While secondary data is captured fish production of Tuna Longliner and fishing trip. Analysis of production data and produksivity using descriptive statistics, presented in the curves. Business feasibility analysis performed by calculating the NPV, IRR, and payback periods.  The results showed that the productivity of Tuna Longliner of Cilacap district is relatively low (0.045 tons / GT / year). The low of productivity due to the occurrence of a fully-exploited. This apparently resulted in a fishing business using Tuna Longliner of Cilacap district is not feasible, based on indicators of NPV, IRR, and payback periods. This condition requires that the management of serious action from government. Keyword: Tuna Longline, produktivity, feasibility.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop the model of profit estimation in Aquaculture. This research used a model of von Bertalanffy length growth combined with the length-weight relationship, and developed an equation of time harvest to produce the target of fish weight as the market preferences. That also developed an equation to estimate the fish biomass, and the profit in aquaculture. The Profit is a total of revenue minus total of cost. Both the harvested biomass of fish and price of fish affect the revenue of aquaculture. The components of costs were a cost of seed procurement, cost of feed procurement, cost of transportation of products and the daily cost. The daily cost of aquaculture in floating cages were a cost of labour, cost of vitamins, cost of energy, cost of assets depreciation, cost of supporting equipment and cost of maintenance assets that converted to IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) (day) -1. The research proved if lthe model in this study could be used to estimate the profit of aquaculture. In case of red Tilapia culture (floating cage) in Reservoir of Wadaslintang, aquaculture at 120 days produced a fish average weight of 200 g (profit IDR. 13,507,167), then at 143 days produced 250 g (profit IDR. 17,975,723), at 164 days produced 300 g (profit IDR. 21,853,697), at 185 days produced 350 g (profit IDR. 25,387,418), at 204 days produced 400 g (profit IDR. 28,181,081), at 223 days produced 450 g (profit IDR. 30,507,200), and at 242 days produced 500 g (profit IDR. 32,297,418). Abstract

The Fish Auction Place has a function as a marketing place for fishermen’s catches through the auction process. The auction activities carried out by the Class II TPI in Pati Regency showed that the performance was not optimal. The purpose of this research was to analyze the factors that influence the performance of class II fish auctions place in the Pati Regency. The research locations were the Banyutowo Fish Auction Place and the Puncel Fish Auction Place. Research time was held from January to October 2021. The number of research samples was 110 respondents. Data analysis with Structural Equation Modeling with AMOS software. The results showed that the factors that influence the performance of class II fish auctions place were planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. These four variables have a positive and significant effect on the performance of class II fish auctions placed in the Pati Regency. The driving factor has the greatest influence on the performance of class II fish auctions in the Pati Regency with a standard regression coefficient value of 0.365. If actuating is getting better, the achievement of performance indicators was higher. On the other hand, if actuating gets weaker, the achievement of performance indicators was lower. Thus, the actuating factor needs to get greater attention in the management of the class II fish auction place in Pati Regency.
