Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest blue carbon ecosystems in the world. This is due to its long coastline and vast marine areas. Indonesia has the largest mangrove forests in the world, covering approximately 3.3 million hectares, spread across the coasts of Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, and Java. The method used in this research is bibliometric analysis, a quantitative approach to analyzing scientific literature to identify publication patterns, research trends, scientific impact, author collaborations, and relationships between scholarly works. Based on the results, it was found that among the 10 most productive authors, Murdiyanto is the most productive, with 13 publications. In terms of institutional affiliation, authors come from institutions such as Bogor Agricultural University, the National Research Agency, and the Center for International Forestry Research. Bibliometric mapping using Vos-viewer, through co-occurrence analysis for network, overlay, and density visualization, shows that topics related to blue carbon and mangroves, such as organic carbon, carbon storage, carbon emissions, and mangroves, were trending between 2021 and 2024. However, these topics as a whole have not been widely researched.

Abstract

Kabaena Island in Southeast Sulawesi has biodiversity, coastal landscapes, mountains and mineral content as the strength of sustainable development goals number 15 (SDGs 15). Currently, mining activities have had a negative impact on local communities in the economic, social, environmental, sanitation and health sectors due to natural degradation. This research aims to identify the tourism potential of Kabaena Island which can be promoted through digital strategies and design innovative digital marketing strategies to increase exposure of Kabaena Island tourism and support environmental sustainability. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method to collect data using Google Maps analysis. A previous literature review shows that there is still minimal discussion regarding biodiversity and mineral content on Kabaena Island, which discusses the development of tourism destinations. Kabaena Island tourism development requires collaboration between government, academics and local communities to create sustainable development based on SDGs. The focus includes mining governance, creative economy, conservation and education, with digital marketing via Google Maps, destination branding and social media content. Collaboration with travel agents and business partners will support the local economy. Seminars or dissemination on sustainable development are important to strengthen governance and policies that support the community and preserve the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to design and construct information dissemination of the Pulo Indigenous village tourism area in Garut Regency, West Java Province. The communication media used in information dissemination activities are in the form of booklets and leaflets. The method used in this study uses the action research method. The primary data sources in this study were the traditional head of Kampung Pulo and tourists who came to Kampung Pulo. The secondary data was obtained from literature studies and the tourism office of Garut Regency. The data collection technique is done through observation, interviews, and literature study. Based on the results of the study, it is known that from the identification stage it is known that one of the factors is the lack of recognition of the Pulo Traditional Village tourist area because tourism promotion has not been optimally carried out so far, therefore it is necessary to create a promotional media in the form of disseminating information on the Pulo traditional village tourism area. The communication media used are booklets and leaflets. From the design results, the information dissemination consists of a cover, a preface, a table of contents, and the content or contents of the promotion. From the results of trials and improvements to the design of information dissemination. After disseminating information, it shows that the existence of promotional media for the Kampung Pulo tourist area in the form of booklets and leaflets is beneficial in promoting the Kampung Pulo tourist area, especially for people living outside Garut Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to map the research landscape of cross-cultural communication on digital platforms, identify knowledge gaps, and analyze existing trends. Specifically, this research examines the evolution of research, inter-country collaboration, and its impact. Quantitative bibliometric methods were applied to data from the Scopus database (2011–2024), analyzing key indicators such as the number of publications, citations, h-index, keyword trends, and author collaboration networks (co-authorship networks). The results show the dominance of the United States in the number of publications (157) and citations (69), reflecting a strong research ecosystem and global influence. Collaboration network analysis shows that while some countries, such as China, have strong intra-country collaboration (indicated by high Single Country Publications (SCP)), other countries, such as Spain, show more significant international collaboration (Multiple Country Publications/MCP). Developing countries, although their contribution is smaller quantitatively, exhibit unique collaboration patterns that focus on regional and local issues, enriching the global perspective in this research. This study identifies a lack of in-depth studies on specific digital platforms beyond Western-based platforms, as well as the need for further research on the impact of non-Western cultures in online interactions. Keywords: Cross-Cultural Communication, Digital Platforms, Collaboration, Citation, Bibliometrics.

Abstract

Abstract. The advancement of digital technology has significantly influenced various sectors, including the access and management of academic information in higher education. As central hubs of information, university libraries need to adapt by implementing innovative digital services. At Bandung Islamic University (UNISBA), this transformation is visible through developments such as the SiPINTAR application and an online repository system. This study aims to explore and analyze the transformation of user behavior in accessing academic information after the implementation of digital services. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving interviews with seven active students and two librarians, fitted by documentation of library services. The findings indicate that students generally prefer digital services due to their convenience and accessibility. However, challenges remain, particularly in terms of digital literacy and the limited scope of available digital collections. The study concludes that while the digitization of library services at UNISBA has enhanced access to academic information, consistent user education and continuous service improvement is vital to ensure optimal utilization.
