Abstract

The Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) is a social protection program that aims to help the poor meet basic needs and reduce economic impacts, especially after the pandemic. However, the implementation of the Village Fund BLT in Sena Village, Batang Kuis District, Deli Serdang Regency, still faces various challenges, such as the validity of recipient data, transparency of distribution, and the effectiveness of assistance in improving community welfare. This study uses the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model to evaluate the extent to which the Village Fund BLT has achieved its goals. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that BLT Village Funds are useful in the short term, but have not been able to improve community welfare sustainably. There are still obstacles in collecting recipient data, delays in disbursement, and a lack of assistance in the use of the assistance. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate BLT with economic empowerment programs, such as skills training and access to business capital, so that this program is not only consumptive but also contributes to sustainable village economic development.

Abstract

Menstruation is an event that naturally (normally) occurs in women who are entering reproductive age. Menstruation occurs because the uterus sheds its endometrial lining periodically. One of the menstrual problems that often arises is dysmenorrhea. This study aims to analyze differences in dysmenorrhea pain scales with herbal therapy of papaya leaf decoction and red ginger decoction. The design used in this study is an experimental quesy through the Pretest-Posttest None equivalent Control Group approach. Samples were taken using non-probability sampling with accidental sampling techniques. The results of the research data were carried out by a bivariate test with a T-test with α: 0.05. Based on the results of the study, the difference after being given papaya leaf decoction and red ginger stew had a mean of 1.66 for papaya leaf decoction and a mean of 1.22 for red ginger stew. The results of the T-Test statistical test showed a result of 0.875 which is greater than α, so it can be concluded that there is no difference between the administration of papaya leaf decoction therapy and red ginger stew. Based on the results of these studies, a decoction of papaya leaves and ginger can be used as an alternative therapy to reduce menstrual pain

Abstract

Background: During pregnancy, a pregnant woman's body adapts to the growth and development of the fetus in the womb, thus undergoing both physical and psychological changes. These physical and psychological changes during pregnancy can cause discomfort in pregnant women. Responses to discomfort can be mild complaints that require appropriate treatment from midwives as the primary care providers in the community to prevent serious complaints. Midwifery services are currently experiencing a shift and dynamics, where this shift is the return to implementing complementary therapies in midwifery services. For many midwives and women, complementary midwifery services are an option to reduce medical interventions during pregnancy and childbirth, and based on experience, this is quite helpful. Purpose: To determine the application of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) services to the health of pregnant women. Method: This type of research is quantitative, this research design is an analytical survey. This study used a cross-sectional method. The population in this study were all midwives working in Community Health Centers in Banda Aceh City, totaling 179 midwives in 2024 with a total of 11 Community Health Centers. The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling with univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test via SPSS software. Results: There is a relationship between the type of complementary midwifery services and maternal health, with a p-value of 0.001. The application of CAM in pregnant women has significant potential to improve holistic health, both physically and emotionally Conclusion: However, standardization, medical supervision, and increased awareness of the appropriate use of CAM are needed to avoid risks.   Keywords: Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM); Midwifery; Pregnant Women.
