Abstract

This article aims to identify and compare educational values contained in Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih, folklore from Indonesia, and Kong Ji Pat Ji from Korea through literary comparison. The study uses the qualitative descriptive method. Indonesian folklore was obtained through the 100-folklore book, and the origin of Korean folklore was obtained through the classic Korean folktale collection book. These two folk stories are similar: a main character living in a family where one parent dies and has a half-sister. Another similarity is that of the daughter in the family. Altogether, however, the text of these two folklores is different. The differences are found in text structures such as characters, settings, and grooves—furthermore, conflicts encountered in two different folklore. In the story of Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih, the protagonist seeks her stepmother's clothes, while in the story of Kong Ji Pat Ji fills the hollow. These two folk tales can be used as educational tools for moral and ethical values for readers of different cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

A literary work reflects world vision of its writer, including the world of women. Pramoedya Ananta Toer participated to reveal the idealism of women’s resistance in revolution and reformation era through the characters of his story. Obtaining the world view of the writer toward women is important. This research aims to examine women’s resistance in the Revolution and Reformation era within 3 novels by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This research uses qualitative method with content and sociological analysis model. The problems of the analysis are (1) the historic flaming in which Pramoedya Ananta Toer writes Larasati, MSBE, and PRdCM; and (2) world’s view of Pramoedya Ananta Toer toward women’s resistance in Larasati, MSBE, and PRdCM. To explain the world’s view of the writer, this research also applies Lucien Goldmann’s genetic structuralism. The objective of this research is to reveal the women’s resistance within three prominent characters who have fought in some different ways for justice in revolution and reformation era. This confirms that Pramoedya brings justice and gender equality in the world of women.

Abstract

Needs analysis is very important to help students in the learning process. But, most teachers don't do needs analysis first because they don't know the way or procedure to analyze students' needs. Therefore, the purpose of this research is conducted to provide an effective way or procedure in understanding students' needs in the use of Indonesian language learning models using User Persona. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with User Persona as the analysis knife. The data collection method used is questionnaire. Furthermore, the data collected will be analyzed by the researcher. The results of the analysis show that students in class X4 have diverse learning model needs in learning Indonesian language. Through the results of this User Persona, researchers can provide recommendations for learning models that are in accordance with the needs of class X4 students. In addition, this research can increase student involvement in the learning process, assist teachers in designing appropriate learning models, and help teachers to better understand students, and can be a reference for other schools to understand student needs in implementing Indonesian language learning models.

Abstract

This study focuses on plant-related idioms, exploring the similarities and differences between the two languages in expressing worldviews and values by comparing the structure, meaning, and cultural context of Indonesian and Chinese idioms. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, combining semantic, comparative and cultural analysis to deeply uncover the symbolic meaning of plant idioms and their cultural influences. The results show that Indonesian idioms have diverse forms, are close to life, and embody the cultural qualities of flexibility and inclusiveness, while Chinese idioms are characterized by symmetry and simplicity, highlighting the philosophical tradition of the unity of heaven and man and profound cultural connotations. Moreover, plant idioms, as important carriers of the intermingling of languages and cultures, not only reflect both cultures' unique perspectives on nature and society but also make significant contributions to cross-cultural communication. These idioms also have strategic value in language education, especially in helping to understand and apply cultural symbols more effectively.

Abstract

This research is a review study with the aim of describing the role of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model in learning and describing the design of the CTLS model assisted by the MCP application. Research sources are taken from articles that have been published in accredited and reputable journals. The research techniques used are, (1) data reduction; (2) data presentation; and (3) drawing conclusions/verification. Based on the study of the analysis process results, the findings of this research are; 1) The CTL model is still widely used in learning both in the fields of science and social humanities; 2) The application of the CTL model is effectively used in learning both in the science and social fields; 3) The application of the CTL model has been developed through the integration of other components, including contextual learning FRAME (Formulate, Observe, State, Combine, Communicate and Practice); contextualized learning with linked open data; Contextual Cb-model; (E-LKPD) Contextual Teaching and Learning; E-Module Based on Contextual Teaching and Learning; Blended Learning with Flipped Classroom Through a Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach; Learning Tool For Robotics Basic Programming Based on Contextual Teaching And Learning Contextual Teaching Learning (Ctl) Based on Information and Communication of Technology (ICT); Adaptive Contextual Learning Model of Integrated Science by Integrating Digital Age Literacy; ICT-Based Contextual Mathematics Learning. 4) Based on the results of the review study, the innovation findings from this research are the design of developing an innovative CTL model which is paired with the Stratta strategy with the help of technology in the form of the Mobile Cipta Poetry application. The CTLS model assisted by the MCP application in poetry writing activities was developed with the following syntax; exposition, interpretation, creation, inclusion, and review. Based on research findings, it can be concluded that the CTL model is still suitable for use in learning. In this regard, as a basis for further research, the CTLS model assisted by the MCP application developed can be followed up and its effectiveness tested.

Abstract

Daluwang, yang diakui sebagai Warisan Budaya Tak Benda Indonesia (WBTBI) sejak 2014, memiliki potensi ekonomi besar, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas. Di Desa Cikedung Lor, pengrajin menghadapi kendala minimnya diversifikasi produk dan kurangnya strategi pemasaran modern, sehingga hasil produksi sulit bersaing di pasar luas. Pemanfaatan smartphone untuk foto produk dapat mendukung pemasaran tidak hanya daluwang tapi produk-produk lainnya yang dihasilkan oleh komunitas ini. Tantangan yang dihadapi adalam kurangnya keterampilan dalam mepresentasikan peroduk secara menarik. Melalui pelatihan ini diharapkan para anggota komunita mampu memaksimalkan penggunaan smartphone untuk foto produk yang dihasilkan. Pelatihan fotografi produk menggunakan smartphone difokuskan pada teknik dasar pencahayaan, komposisi, dan pengeditan, sehingga pengrajin mampu menghasilkan foto berkualitas untuk promosi di media sosial dan platform daring. Hasil pelattihan ini memperlihatkan pengingkatan signifikan dalam kualitas pemotretan produk. Program pelatihan ini membuktikan bahwa teknologi smartphone dapat digunakan menjadi alat pemberdayaan yang efektif dalam mendukung ekonomi kreatif berbasis budaya lokal.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Salah satu inovasi yang mulai diterapkan adalah pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana integrasi teknologi digital dapat mendukung proses kreatif siswa dalam menulis naskah drama, serta untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penerapannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di salah satu sekolah menengah atas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen hasil karya siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan perangkat digital, seperti aplikasi pengolah kata, perangkat lunak penyusunan alur cerita, serta platform daring untuk kolaborasi, mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, teknologi digital memberikan kemudahan dalam proses penyuntingan dan revisi naskah, serta memungkinkan adanya umpan balik secara langsung dari guru maupun teman sebaya. Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi, seperti kurangnya literasi digital di kalangan siswa dan keterbatasan akses terhadap perangkat teknologi di beberapa lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama memberikan peluang yang besar untuk mendukung proses kreatif siswa, tetapi memerlukan strategi pendukung yang tepat untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students' perceptions of Mobile-Cipta Puisi (MCP), a digital learning application designed to foster creativity and enhance the learning experience in poetry writing. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach utilizing a survey design. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire covering two main aspects: students’ responses to the application's format and usefulness, and their reactions, including interest and self-confidence. A total of 126 tenth-grade high school students from five schools in Garut Regency participated as respondents. The collected data were analyzed descriptively using descriptive statistical methods. The results indicate a notably positive reception of MCP, with an average score of 83% across both measured aspects. Features such as relaxation music, the ability to save and share poetry, and access to inspirational poems were particularly appreciated for making the poetry-writing process both enjoyable and accessible. A novel contribution of this research lies in the development and testing of MCP as a poetic learning tool that not only offers a digital writing medium but also integrates emotional and collaborative support features elements that are rarely found in similar applications within the context of Indonesian literary education.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of the Aul myth—a part of the oral tradition of the Sundanese people—into two modern media: the book Manusia dan Gunung and the documentary film Aksatriya. The main objective is to explore how these media represent ecological values through transmedia strategies and culturally rooted narratives. This qualitative-descriptive research employs narrative analysis, close reading for the book, close viewing for the film, and documentation of oral traditions. The findings indicate that the book offers a reflective and symbolic narrative that fosters ecological awareness through literary depth. In contrast, the documentary film conveys the collective voice of the community by presenting testimonies, natural landscapes, and audiovisual aesthetics to reconstruct the meaning of Aul as a guardian of nature. Both mediums not only preserve local cultural heritage but also reinterpret myth to meet the challenges of contemporary environmental crises. The study concludes that transmediabased adaptation strategies can serve as inclusive and effective conservation narratives. These findings contribute to the development of culturally embedded ecological education and policies grounded in local wisdom.

Abstract

NovelToon, sebagai platform digital yang menawarkan cerita bergambar yang menarik, menyediakan peluang baru bagi guru Bahasa Indonesia untuk memperkaya pengajaran sastra. Penelitian ini menyelidiki berbagai tantangan dan peluang yang muncul dari penggunaan NovelToon dalam pendidikan sastra di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan survei yang dilakukan pada guru-guru Bahasa Indonesia di berbagai sekolah di Indonesia khususnya guru Bahasa Indonesia yang tergabung dalam organisasi MGMP Kecamatan Buleleng, Singaraja Bali. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa NovelToon dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dengan materi sastra melalui visual yang menarik dan narasi yang relatable. Platform ini juga memungkinkan interaksi yang lebih dinamis antara teks dan pembaca, yang membantu memperdalam pemahaman konseptual dan analitis siswa terhadap karya sastra. Namun, penelitian juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan, termasuk kurangnya konten yang sesuai dengan kurikulum lokal, keterbatasan akses teknologi di beberapa wilayah, dan kebutuhan pelatihan guru yang lebih komprehensif untuk memanfaatkan platform ini secara efektif. Penelitian ini menawarkan beberapa rekomendasi untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, termasuk pengembangan konten yang lebih beragam dan relevan dengan konteks Indonesia, serta kerja sama yang lebih erat antara pengembang platform, pendidik, dan pembuat kebijakan. Studi ini berkontribusi pada literatur yang ada dengan mengungkapkan potensi NovelToon sebagai alat pembelajaran sastra yang inovatif, sambil juga menyoroti pentingnya dukungan infrastruktur dan kebijakan pendidikan yang memadai untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi digital dalam pendidikan.
