Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of ownership structure and capital structure in decision-making about dividend policy. Observation units used in this study consisists off all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange which pay dividend during 2008 to 2017. This research uses purposive sampling method. The number of samples in this study was 21 companies consist of 210 data. The research variables consist of Institutional Ownership, Public Ownership and Capital Structure as independent variables and Dividend Policy as the dependent variable. Data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, determinan of panel data estimation model, multiple linear regression with Eviews 9. The result of this study shows that institutional ownership and public ownership has a negative effect and significant to the dividend policy. Capitsal structure has a positive but not significant to the dividen policy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationships of board interlocking and firm performance as measured by Return on Assets (ROA). This research method uses a quantitative approach with research objects of all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2008-2017. The sample selection method uses a purposive sampling. The sample used was 4450 observation. Data analysis methods used are descriptive analysis and dummy variable regression Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The result showed that the average performance of companies that do interlock of directors at other companies at the same time is higher than companies that do not do interlock. The existence of a director who has do interlock allows directors to get access in other places and can mutually utilize resource supported by empirical result where the total assets of companies that do interlock higher than companies that did not interlock. Although concurrent positions can improve the company, the company still complies with government regulations so that the company does not get the law and get sanctionse.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of institutional ownership and differences in the average dividend payout policy in the presence of a political connection variable. The population in this study are all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2008-2017. The sample in this study was based on purposive sampling. The sample of this study were 1157 observations. The analytical method used is a dummy covariance analysis (ANCOVA) regression model. The results showed that institutional ownership had a coefficient value of 0.039768. political connections have a coefficient value of 0.042068. That is, institutional ownership and political connections have a positive influence on dividend payment policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to examine and analyze differences in the average policy of dividend payments with government ownership in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in period 2008-2017. Previous research still shows differences in research results or inconsistent results between one study and another. The results showed that the average dividend payment policy carried out by the government was higher than companies that did not have government ownership. This is considered as government ownership, so the amount of dividends distributed will increase. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that government ownership provides an average higher dividend payment policy than non-government ownership. Suggestions for company management, in making dividend payment policies, the company should always consider the interests of the company?s owners. Investors should pay attention to factors outside the economy in investing. For further researchers, it can be used as an additional reference and research can be done one by one sector.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial instinct is one of the dimensions of entrepreneurial competence that must be possessed by the principal, by having an entrepreneurial instinct the principal can manage production/ service activities in the school as a source of learning for students. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dimensions of the principals' entrepreneurial instincts in planning, organizing, implementing and supervising school production/ service activities as a source of learning for students in Pandhega Jaya Christian High School. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study design. The purpose of this study is to analyze the principals' entrepreneurial instincts in planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring school production/ service activities as a source of learning for students. The research sample consisted of school principals, teachers and students. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the principal already had an entrepreneurial instinct in managing school production/ service activities. in the case of planning, it is carried out by planning a work program of production activities together with the management team, budget planning, raw materials and tools, sources of business capital and preparing supporting facilities. In terms of organizing done by arranging human resources, infrastructure, implementation of production activities carried out in accordance with the plan that is as a source of learning for students. Supervision is carried out jointly by employees, principals and teachers to ensure that implementation is in accordance with planning. With good management of school production/ service activities, the principal has prepared learning resources for students, equipping graduates to work in the business world as well as an alternative school income in terms of funding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning management of the al-Qur’an tutorial program and fiqh of worship at Sultan Agung Islamic University Semarang. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. The research subjects consisted of the Head of the al-Qur’an Tutorial Division, tutor coordinator, tutor/mentor and tutorial participants. The data collection technique used the interview method, observation, and document analysis. The research instrument was the researcher and the interview guide, observation and document analysis. The validity of the data was done by triangulating the source and triangulating the findings. Data analysis used interactive Miles-Huberman analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the management planning of the tutorial program al-Qur'an and fiqh of worship at the Islamic University of Sultan Agung Semarang was guided by: (1) Analysis of student needs/problems (2) Analysis of the conditions and situation of the university, (3) Determination of objectives, (4) ) Determining the type, technique and strategy of activities, (5) Determining the time and place of activities, (6) Determining facilities and budgeting costs.

Abstract

Abstrak The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the initial planning of compensation management at SMA N 1 Mayong Jepara. This research approach is a qualitative approach with a explorative case study design. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation by eight participants which included the principal, six teachers and an education staff. The results of this study indicate that the initial planning of compensation management at SMA N 1 Mayong Jepara is (1) planning compensation management objectives, where the main purpose of compensation management planning is for the welfare of teachers and education staff. (2) planning a compensation management strategy, where the specific compensation management strategy is to build a work culture of MEJENG SEKSI to achieve school goals so that teachers and education staff improve work quality. The benefit of this research is to provide insight into management related education compensation management planning in improving the quality of teacher work at the high school level and used as a reference and evaluation materials evaluation material in improving the quality of teacher work. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine a) the effect of teacher competence on learning motivation; b) the effect of learning facilities on learning motivation; c) the effect of learning readiness on learning motivation; d) the effect of learning motivation on learning achievement. The results of this study are a) teacher competence effects learning motivation. b) learning facilities affects learning motivation c) readiness affects learning motivation. d) learning motivation affects learning achievement. As many as 171 students were taken as sample by using Purposive Sampling. Sampling this using the formula slovkin. The results of the study showed that the competence of teachers affect the motivation to learn. Learning facilities affect the learning motivation. Learning readiness influences motivation to learn, and motivation to learn affect learning achievement.

Abstract

Saving is an important thing in financial management. However, on the other hand, people's saving behavior, especially teenagers, is still low. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of financial literacy and parents’ income on students’ saving behavior based on parents’ education and school status in Senior High School of Semarang City. This study used a quantitative approach. The population in this study were the students of class XI Social Sciences of Senior High School in Semarang City which had a good category in the National Examination 2019. The technique of data collection used questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential. The result of this study concludes that there are effects of financial literacy and parents' income on saving behavior. However, based on parents’ education, there is no difference in saving behavior. In line with this, if based on school status, there is no difference in students' saving behavior.

Abstract

Prospect Theory Kahneman & Tversky (1979) is a behavioral theory that discusses risk taking viewed under certain conditions, whether in a win or loss condition. There is inconsistent behavior between theory and reality in companies in Indonesia. This research method uses a quantitative approach with the object of research being all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2019. The sample selection uses a purposive sampling method. The sample used as many as 206 companies with 1614 observations. This research uses ANOVA data analysis technique. Based on the results of this study, it shows that prospect theory is not supported in this study
