Abstract

Digital transformation has become an urgent need for organizations that want to remain relevant and competitive in today's digital era. However, in the face of the wide choice of business development strategies available, decision making can become complicated. Therefore, this thesis proposes a systematic and structured approach using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to identify and evaluate the most appropriate business development strategies in the context of digital transformation. This research integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches by utilizing a comprehensive literature review and in-depth AHP analysis. Thus, this thesis not only understands the key factors influencing the success of digital transformation, but also offers a clear framework for measuring and prioritizing alternative strategies. Through the AHP application, various criteria and sub-criteria relevant to digital transformation are identified and ranked according to their importance. The results of this evaluation then provide more focused guidance in selecting business development strategies that can optimize the use of digital technology, minimize risks and achieve long-term business goals. Thus, this thesis not only makes a theoretical contribution to the understanding of digital transformation, but also makes a practical contribution by providing a methodology that can be applied by business leaders and decision makers in guiding business development strategies in this digital era.

Abstract

PT XYZ was a company engaged as a marketing agent for plantation commodities. The company added new business lines, expanding from marketing agents to traders and retailers. However, the addition of business lines did not increase the company's profitability. A research was conducted to analyze the factors that impacted the profitability of PT XYZ. The research used financial performance analysis and statistical analysis of working capital management on profitability, and it examined the interaction with the covid-19 pandemic using multiple linear regression. The variables used in the statistical analysis were days sales outstanding (DSO), days inventory outstanding (DIO), days payable outstanding (DPO), and cash conversion cycle (CCC). The control variables included current ratio (CR), debt to equity ratio (DER), investment policy (IP), financing policy (FP), and company size (size). Additionally, there was a moderating variable, the covid-19 pandemic (dummy). The dependent variable in the study was the gross operating profit (GOP). The results showed that the working capital management of PT XYZ from the aspect of liquidity had a net working capital that posed low risk and low return. Based on the company's financial statements, PT XYZ had a relatively high cost of sales. Regarding the leverage aspect, the company's debt-to-equity ratio increased, indicating that its capital or equity could not cover its debt. The variable day's inventory outstanding (DIO) had a negative and significant effect on the profitability of PT XYZ companies on the independent variable gross operating profit (GOP). Abstract

Illegal fishing that occurs in Indonesian waters has the potential to harm the marine fisheries business. The government seeks to overcome losses due to illegal fishing through  policies and surveillance programs through increasing the fleet of surveillance vessels, increasing operations by sea and air and utilizing information technology. Surveillance  of illegal fishing is a public policy, in  order to measure the impact and benefits of the policy, economic valuation is needed as a basis for stating that the policy is feasible and provides benefits presented in a value. This study aims to analyze the direct and indirect impact of illegal fishing Surveillance policies  on the marine fisheries business. The research method uses producer surplus and analysis uses Extended Cost Benefit Analysis (ECBA). The results showed that  the policy of increasing Surveillance provides  positive benefits of Rp.1.8 trillion/year compared to the situation before the policy, so the policy is feasible. The policy has the potential to save economic and social losses on the fisheries business obtained amounted to Rp.466.9 billion / year before the policy and after the policy increased Surveillance to Rp. 2.3 trillion / year. The policy of increasing supervision greatly affects the fisheries business at sea, namely the needs and supply of fish for raw materials for the fishery industry are met, increasing the productivity of catches, absorption of labor as fishermen on ships, sufficient fuel stocks and for the government, state revenues from PNBP and fisheries taxes increase.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants and convergence of the Fishers Term of Trade (FiTT) and analyze government policies supporting increasing FiTT in Indonesia. The analysis used is the global moran index, dynamic spatial panel data regression, and descriptive analysis. The analysis results show spatial dependencies of FiTT with a clustered pattern. Provinces in quadrants III and IV in quadrant analysis indicate the need to evaluate government assistance policies. The determinants of FiTT in the short and long term are the CPI, government assistance, production value, and labor in the capture fisheries sub-sector. There is a convergence of provincial FiTT with a relatively high speed of 152 percent per year, assuming no significant external shocks exist. The time required to close half of the FiTT is 0,46 years. Policies can be carried out by encouraging programs to increase production, exports, and consumption of capture fisheries. They were maximizing the functions of the Central Information Control Team (CICT) and Local Information Control Team (LICT) in controlling the inflation of consumer goods in rural areas and maintaining the policy of subsidized fuel for small-scale fisheries. Maintain fish price stability at the fisherman's level by strengthening the National Fish Logistic System (NFLS), accelerating the implementation of the Warehouse Receipt System (WRS) for fishery commodities, and improving infrastructure that supports cold storage development, especially electricity availability. In addition, expanding the scope of the business area of PT Perikanan Indonesia and increasing its role as a logistics agency for fisheries. Keywords: convergence, fishermen, FiTT, spatial, welfare
