Abstract

The aim of this service is to explain the existence of the slang language spoken which is influenced by social media, almost all students use it. This research aims to analyze the influence of slang on the existence of the Indonesian language, with a focus on the case study of students at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. The use of slang among students has become an increasingly widespread phenomenon, raising questions regarding its impact on the use and maintenance of Indonesian as the country's official language. This research method involves qualitative research analysis using a structured descriptive method on a number of students from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education department at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. This research was designed to identify the level of understanding and use of slang and describe the complexity of the dynamics between slang use and maintenance of Indonesian. This research contributes to our understanding of how the slang phenomenon influences the existence of Indonesian in society, especially in Ujung Lamuru village. The implications of this research can provide a basis for designing educational strategies and language awareness that are more effective in maintaining the existence of the Indonesian language in this modern era. Slang can be said to be a certain code that only a group of people know the meaning and purpose of.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of user satisfaction and the impact of a web-based library clearance service application on user satisfaction at the Library of Hasanuddin University, Makassar. A descriptive quantitative method was used with 99 respondents, all of whom were students who had used the application. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. The results show that user satisfaction with the application is categorized as "very satisfied," with a satisfaction percentage of 82%. Based on the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model, the highest score was found in the content variable (90%), followed by accuracy (85%), format (83%), ease of use (80%), and timeliness (77%). The findings also indicate that the web-based application has a significant impact on user satisfaction. This study recommends the addition of features such as clearance letter extension, notifications, and other relevant tools to meet user needs. The results are expected to serve as a reference for future research and the development of library services based on information technology.

Abstract

The urgency of this research is to see the impact of the results of Kiai Soedja's thoughts on society today in the fields of health, social, and economy. This can be seen by the development of Muhammadiyah social institutions that are developing today starting from the establishment of the PKO business charity which was the idea of Kiai Soedja'. The research method used is the historical research method. The stages involved in the method are topic selection, heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that PKO was born from the idea of Kiai Soedja', whose thoughts surpassed the thoughts of Muhammadiyah members at that time. Kiai Soedja' was able to initiate the construction of poor houses, hospitals, and orphanages in only 11 years. The PKO Poor House was estabilished on 13 January 1923, the PKO Remsi Hospital was established on 15 February 1923, and the PKO Orphanage was inaugurated on 5 October 1931, even though the poor house had actually existed since 1923. After conducting research, it can be concluded that Kiai Soedja' is a figure who is able to break the view of limitations. He was able to pioneer the development of social activities in Muhammadiyah with the PKO Charity. This research is useful for the development of local history and introducing an important figure in the history of health in Indonesia.

Abstract

Mosquitoes are often considered as carriers of disease. Various efforts have been made to reduce the mosquito population, including the use of chemical mosquito sprays. This is due to the lack of public knowledge about the use of plants around them such as citronella to be used as mosquito repellent and mosquito larvae killers. Therefore, activities were carried out that aimed to increase public understanding of the use of natural larvicide that focused on plants around them such as citronella which can be processed into useful materials. Through this socialization, we can provide useful information to the community, making them aware that citronella is not, method used is socialization and training for the community, regarding the use and manufacture of anti-mosquito Larvicide made from citronella. This activity consists of the preparation stage and the implementation stage. Based on the results of community service in Reuloh village, it shows high enthusiasm from the community and has a positive impact on knowledge about the dangers of mosquitoes and the manufacture and use of natural Larvicide ingredients as mosquito repellent and is believed to be able to kill larvae.

Abstract

Kebutuhan tidur normal pada usia diatas 60 tahun keatas yaitu selama 6 jam. Kualitas tidur yang buruk berdampak meningkatkan hormon kortisol penyebab stress, aktivasi sistem saraf simpatik dan menurunkan antibodi yang ditandai dengan munculnya gejala seperti lemas dan mudah lelah sehingga menyebabkan perubahan fungsi saraf otonom, yang mempengaruhi terjadinya hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengaruh terapi murottal Al-Qur’an terhadap kualitas tidur lansia dengan hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Jaya Baru Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia yang mengalami hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Jaya Baru Kota Banda Aceh selama 1 bulan terakhir yaitu pada bulan Januri 2024 sebanyak 47 orang. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 23 responden dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kualitas tidur pada lansia sebelum diberikan terapi murottal Al-Qur’an adalah 16,3 dengan standar deviasi 3,8365 dan confidence interval (8,5-20) dan sesudah diberikan terapi murottal Al-Qur’an rata-rata gangguan kualitas tidur pada lansia dengan hipertensi menurun menjadi 12,2 dengan standar deviasi 1,8386 dan confidence interval (8-16). Ada pengaruh terapi murottal Al-Qur’an terhadap kualitas tidur lansia dengan hipertensi dengan p-value 0,000 (p <0,05). Bagi lansia agar dapat menjaga kesehatan dirinya yaitu dengan menjaga tekanan darahnya agar tetap stabil dan meningkatkan kualitas tidurnya dengan cara melakukan terapi murottal Al-Qur’an yang dapat dilakukan secara rutin setiap hari dirumah sebelum tidur

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of fiscal policy instruments on economic growth in Aceh Province using independent variables such as regional taxes, employee expenditure, and indirect expenditure. The data were obtained from official publications of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Aceh in the form of time series covering the period 2009–2023. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of Eviews 12 software to ensure accurate and reliable results. The findings reveal that, partially, regional taxes have a positive but insignificant effect on economic growth in Aceh Province. Employee expenditure also shows a positive yet insignificant effect, while indirect expenditure has a negative and insignificant impact. Simultaneously, the three independent variables do not demonstrate a significant influence on regional economic growth. These results indicate that the effectiveness of fiscal instruments at the regional level remains limited and has not been able to provide a strong impetus for economic growth. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation of the planning, allocation, and utilization of fiscal policies is necessary to ensure that Aceh’s economic development strategies become more targeted, efficient, adaptive, and capable of promoting inclusive and sustainable growth.

Abstract

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a medical condition characterized by a persistent increase in blood pressure exceeding normal thresholds. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between coping mechanisms and psychological stress among elderly individuals with hypertension in Meunasah Papeun Village, Krueng Barona Jaya District. This research employed a quantitative design with a descriptive-analytic approach using the Cross-Sectional Study method. The total population consisted of 77 participants, and the sampling technique utilized total sampling. The study was conducted from June 25 to July 16, 2025. Data collection instruments included the Brief Cope questionnaire and a stress questionnaire developed by the researcher, with a reliability value of Cronbach’s alpha P-Value = 0.693. Data analysis was carried out using the Chi-Square test. The study findings revealed a P-Value = 0.503 (>0.05), indicating no significant relationship between coping mechanisms and stress among elderly individuals with hypertension in Gampong Meunasah Papeun. Respondents are advised to maintain emotional stability to prevent psychological stress; although the findings indicate no direct correlation, it remains essential to preserve mental well-being through effective communication, participation in positive activities, and seeking family support. The village as the research site is encouraged to continue developing stress reduction programs through educational and preventive approaches, such as counseling on coping mechanisms for stress and group discussions.

Abstract

Community participation in the formation of Village Regulations (Perdes) is an important indicator in realizing transparent, democratic, and responsive village governance to the needs of residents. However, in Teluk Kapuas Village, the level of community participation in the process is still relatively low. This is evident from the minimal involvement of residents and village officials in understanding the mechanisms and urgency of Perdes preparation. Based on these conditions, Community Service (PKM) activities were carried out with the aim of increasing the knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the community and village officials regarding the importance of active involvement in Perdes formation. The problems raised in this activity include: (1) the level of knowledge and understanding of village officials regarding the procedures for Perdes formation; and (2) factors that hinder the community from participating optimally. The methods used were lectures and interactive discussions involving village officials and community representatives. The results of the activities showed that the understanding of village officials and the community was still limited, so that participation in Perdes formation was not optimal. Through this PKM activity, it is hoped that there will be an increase in the understanding, awareness, and involvement of the Teluk Kapuas Village community in the Perdes formulation process so that it can produce village regulations that are more participatory and meet the needs of residents.

Abstract

This article would like to discuss the issue of contemporary waqf (Islamic endowment) practices in the Islamic world today for the ummah economic empowerment and development by choosing Turkey and Indonesia as the focus of study. Among the contemporary issues of waqf that is attracting attention to be studied further regarding the Muslim community is the acceptance of its temporary waqf implementation, shifting from previous definition of waqf as almsgiving intended for a perpetual purpose. The selection of both countries is based on the large Muslim population, as well as representing different schools of thought (Indonesia with the Shafi'i school and Turkey with the Hanafi school). By using literature studies and interview with competent parties in the field of waqf purposively as the research method which are then analyzed synthetically, this article concludes that the existence of temporary waqf will develop in the future, as found in Turkey and in Indonesia, one of the reasons is for benefit, as well as the efficiency of the right to use the assets donated.
