Abstract

Freshwater fish farms are sustained by the availability of economical fish feed. The rising commercial feed costs in the market are causing production challenges for freshwater fish farmers. One alternative economical fish feed that is able to substitute the commercial feed is Duckweed (Lemna sp). The purpose of this outreach activity is to educate Cikeruh community in utilizing Duckweed biomass as an alternative fish feed. The output of this research and community (PPM) service program was carried out by holding counseling activities on the use of duckweed as an alternative fish feed. Duckweed (Lemna sp) has nutritional value, rapid growth, and survives in various environmental climatic conditions. This provision will provide knowledge to the community, especially to the fish farming farmers community in Cikeruh Village that they are able to apply the duckweed biomass as an alternative fish feed to reduce the feed costs and increase their income in the future.

Abstract

Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) merupakan suatu kegiatan penerapan ilmu yang diperoleh mahasiswa/i dibangku perkuliahan pada suatu lapangan pekerjaan. Selain bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa, pelakasanaan Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) juga bermanfaat bagi Lembaga, yaitu adanya kerjasama antara dunia pendidikan dan dunia kelembagaan sehingga Lembaga  tersebut dapat dikenal oleh kalangan akademis. Selain itu, Lembaga juga mendapat bantuan tenaga kerja dari mahasiswa/i yang melaksanakan praktek kerja lapangan (PKL). Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal bertempat di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram Jalan K.H Ahmad Dahlan No. 1 Kota Mataram Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKL yaitu menggunakan hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan metode analisis kualitatif. Berdasarkan kegiatan praktek kerja lapangan (PKL) yang telah lakukan pada UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram yaitu di bidang pengolahan bahan pustaka selama PKL yaitu, pelestarian dan labeling, pemasangan barkode, dan shelving bahan pustaka dan Layanan sirkulasi yaitu layanan keanggotaan, layanan pengunjung, Minat baca Mahasiswa/i yang masih rendah, dilihat dari jumlah pengunjung dari berbagai kalangan yang sangat rendah. Pengadaan koleksi diharapkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi pengguna di UPT Perpustakaan UMMAT.

Abstract

Selain itu, perusahaan juga mendapat bantuan tenaga kerja dari mahasiswa/i yang melaksanakan PKL.  Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal bertempat di UPT UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Mataram Jalan Gomong, Kec. Selaparang, Kota Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKL yaitu menggunakan hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan metode analisis kualitatif. Dari hasil selama melaksana praktek kerja lapangan ( PKL) yang telah saya lakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Mataram merupakan salah satu perpustakaan yang menerapkan system managemen  perpustakaan  terlihat   dari  program  perpustakaan  yang   sudah berjalan, dan sudah hampir memenuhi persyaratan sebagai perpustaakaan perguruan tinggi yang berbasis perpustakaan digital, terlihat dari otomasi yang diterapkannya sudah berjalan cukup lama dan baik dalam penerapannya di setiap bagian pelayanan tehnis maupun pelayanan sirkulasi.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze: situational leadership behavior, organizational culture and productivity of vocational training institutes in west Java Province. The correlation between situational leadership behavior and organizational culture at vocational training institutes, the effect of situational leadership behavior and organizational culture toward productivity of vocational training institutes in west Java Province. This research uses organizational behavior and human resources management approach. The type of the research is descriptive and verificative, while the method used both descriptive and explanatory survey. Investigation type is casualty and time horizon in cross sectional. The sample size used is proportionate sampling by taking sample 115 vocational training institute of spread over 19 locations totally, all its population counted 719 vocational training institutes in west Java Province. The data analyzed by descriptive analytic and path analysis. The result of research shows, 1) situational leadership behavior and organizational culture in generalities, rather high score and the productivity at vocational training institutes to society, cooperation with company or industry in training program development, and placement of training graduate assessed by rather low, 2) there is correlation which significant between situational leadership behavior and organizational at vocational training institutes in west Java Province, 3) situational leadership behavior, organizational culture has significant effect simultaneously and partially productivity of vocational training institutes in west Java Province.

Abstract

This research was aimed to study the response of mustard to oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) compost enriched boiler ash application. Each of EFB compost produced by opened method (K1) and by closed method (K2) were treated with four levels of boiler ash doses (A0 = 0%, A1 = 5%, A2 = 10%, and A3 = 15%). Both of materials are mixed and incubated for 2 weeks. Then boiler ash-enriched EFB compost were mixed with soil (compost: 20% and soil: 80% by volume) and used as medium to grow mustard in green house experiment. The experiment was designed in completely randomized design with 9 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were comprise of control, K1A0, K1A1, K1A2, K1A3, K2A0, K2A1, K2A2 and K2A3. The results showed that EFB compost enriched boiler ash increased growth, yield and N, P, K, Ca, and Mg content of mustard. The yield of mustard increased about 173.5 – 226.5% for K1 and 279 – 290% for K2 compared to control (68 g/plot).

Abstract

Bencana banjir menerjang Kota Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kota Bima telah melakukan upaya penanganan darurat merespons bencana tersebut. Seperti dikutip dari siaran pers BNPB, BPBD Kota Bima telah mengevakuasi warga yang terdampak banjir di 4 kecamatan, yaitu Kecamatan Asakota, Rasanae Barat, Raba dan Mpunda. BPBD dibantu personel TNI dan Polri dalam mengevakuasi warga. Langan bencana, metode penelitian yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah kelurahan dalam menanggulangi bencana, baik itu yang bersifat mengantisipasi bencana maupun setelah terjadinya bencana atau pasca bencana terjadi sangat beragam dan menggunakan metode yang berbeda-beda. Pemerintah Kelurahan dalam hal ini, telah melakukan berbagai upaya strategis dalam menangulangi bencana banjir tersebut terutama dalam hal melakukan koordinasi dengan berbagai pihak terkait, agar pihak-pihak terkait dapat membantu dan menentukan langkah strategis guna mempercepat pemulihan masyarakat yang terkena dampak banjir baik pemulihan secara fisik maupun non fisik. Terkait langkah strategi komunikasi yang dibangun oleh Pemerintah Kelurahan dalam melakukan komunikasi baik secara vertikal maupun horizontal kepada semua unsur yang ada pada Pemerintahan Daerah maupun Pemerintah Propinsi, dalam hal ini seluruh komponen masyarakat juga dilibatkan dalam upaya pemulihan dan pencaian perbaikan aspek sarana dan parasana pasca banjir..

Abstract

This article would like to discuss the issue of contemporary waqf (Islamic endowment) practices in the Islamic world today for the ummah economic empowerment and development by choosing Turkey and Indonesia as the focus of study. Among the contemporary issues of waqf that is attracting attention to be studied further regarding the Muslim community is the acceptance of its temporary waqf implementation, shifting from previous definition of waqf as almsgiving intended for a perpetual purpose. The selection of both countries is based on the large Muslim population, as well as representing different schools of thought (Indonesia with the Shafi'i school and Turkey with the Hanafi school). By using literature studies and interview with competent parties in the field of waqf purposively as the research method which are then analyzed synthetically, this article concludes that the existence of temporary waqf will develop in the future, as found in Turkey and in Indonesia, one of the reasons is for benefit, as well as the efficiency of the right to use the assets donated.

Abstract

The 1945 Constitution is the highest constitution or law in the country of Indonesia, the Constitution has undergone changes or amendments 4 times, namely the first amendment in 1999, the second amendment in 2000, the 3rd amendment in 2001, and the 4th amendment in 2002, along with changes to the 1945 Constitution. The problem in this study is the lack of understanding of the 1945 Constitution, still not known by all Indonesian people at large. Indonesian people must know the 1945 Constitution as a written constitution that has the highest legal authority in the Indonesian state government system. The method of approach used in this research is normative juridical with a qualitative descriptive approach. The purpose of this study is to determine the understanding of the Constitutional System of Indonesia (UUD) 1945 as a written constitution that has the highest legal authority in the Indonesian state government system that must be obeyed by all Indonesian people.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of technology in developing the reading skills of class VIII students at SMPN 2 Bone. With rapid technological advances, education is experiencing a significant transformation, including in teaching and learning methods for reading. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to understand the impact of using technology such as educational software, e-books, and interactive reading applications on students' reading abilities. Data was collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis. The results showed that the use of technology significantly increased students' motivation and interest in reading, as well as improving their reading comprehension. Technology allows access to a variety of more interesting and interactive reading materials, which not only improve reading skills but also broaden students' horizons and knowledge. However, this research also found several challenges, such as limited technological infrastructure and the need for training for teachers to utilize technology effectively. In conclusion, technology has great potential in developing students' reading skills, as long as it is implemented with the right strategies and adequate support.

Abstract

Today's 21st century learning demands an increase in human resources who have high technological capabilities and an attitude of independence. So that education in schools is required to adapt the needs of human resources to the needs of the 21st century learning system. The purpose of this study was to see student learning independence in following the problem-based learning path in eyeglass learning. This study uses mixed methods with an explanatory model. The data collection instruments used were questionnaires and interview guidelines. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive. The results showed that the proportion of student learning outcomes tended to be in the good category with the proportion for males 52% and females 63%. However, there are still some obstacles that students experience in following the PBL learning flow, where these obstacles come from students, teachers and also supporting facilities and infrastructure. In addition, there is an influence between PBL and learning independence. The contribution of the influence of PBL on independent learning for male students is 75%, while for female students is 74%.
