Abstract

This research was a quasi experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. This research was aimed to find out the effectiveness of Socrates contextual learning viewed by students understanding of mathematical concept. The population of this research was all grade seventh students of Junior High School 20 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2015/2016. The sampling technique which was used was purposive sampling. Based on the data analysis, it could be concluded that Socrates contextual learning was effective viewed by students understanding of mathematical concept. However, it was not effective viewed by proportion of students who have good understanding of mathematical concept.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran Socrates kontekstual ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 20 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran Socrates kontekstual efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Namun, tidak efektif ditinjau dari proporsi siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep baik.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pemahaman konsep, Socrates kontekstual

Abstract

This qualitative research was aimed to describe the students critical mathematics discourse on mathematical learning by Socrates Scientific method. The subject of this research was 6 students of VII A class of Junior High School 1 Natar in academic year of 2017/2018. The subject consists of two students with high, medium, and low mathematical ability that was randomly selected by mathematics scores. The data of this research was quali-tative data about students critical mathematics discourse. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that critical mathematics discourse that occurred: (a) facilitated by Socrates questions posed by teacher and the type of Socrates questions were dominated by clarification and assumptions of inves-tigation, (b) related with the indicator of critical thinking skill that was dominated by interpretation and analysis. (c) facilitated by communicating phase on Scien-tific Approach, and (d) the appearance of critical mathematics discourse of students with low mathematical ability was slower than students with high and medium mathematical ability.Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan percakapan kritis matematis siswa pada pembelajaran mate-matika dengan metode Socrates saintifik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 6 siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Subjek terdiri dari dua siswa berkemampuan matematis tinggi, sedang, dan rendah yang dipilih secara acak berdasarkan nilai matematika. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuali-tatif tentang deskripsi percakapan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa percakapan kritis matematis siswa yang muncul: (a) difasilitasi oleh pertanyaan-pertanyaan Socrates yang diajukan oleh guru dan tipe pertanyaan Socrates yang dominan adalah klarifikasi dan asum-si penyelidikan, (b) berkaitan dengan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yang didominasi oleh interpretasi dan analisis, (c) difasilitasi oleh tahapan saintifik mengomunikasikan, dan (d) kemunculan percakapan kritis matematis pada siswa berkemampuan matematis rendah berlangsung lebih lambat dibandingkan dengan siswa berkemampuan matematis tinggi dan sedang.Kata kunci: metode Socrates, pendekatan saintifik, percakapan kritis matematis

Abstract

This development research aimed to develop student worksheet with problem based learning model to develop critical thinking skill. The Problem Based Learning models is oriented on problem solving. Student worksheet with problem based learning model used games, comic, and problems. The critical thinking skills was the ability to think that tested, questioned, connected, evaluated all aspects of the situation or a problem given. The Subject of the study development student worksheet with problem based learning was X sains class in SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar with middle to upper thinking level of student. The data of research was obtained through post-test. The development student worksheet with problem based learning model that obtained include development games as SPLDV card and miracle star that make students worked together in groups and make students motivated in finishing of student worksheet. In mathematical comic and presenting problem language that was used often heard by students but follow EYD. Student worksheet with problem based learning models could develop critical thinking skill.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD dengan model problem based learning untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Model problem based learning berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah. LKPD dengan model problem based learning mengunakan permainan, komik, dan permasalahan-permasalahan. Kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah kemampuan berpikir yang menguji, mempertanyakan, menghubungkan, mengevaluasi semua aspek yang ada dalam suatu situasi ataupun suatu masalah yang diberikan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar dengan level berpikir siswa menengah ke atas. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui posttest. Penelitian pengembangan LKPD dengan model problem based learning yang diperoleh meliputi pengembangan permainan seperti kartu SPLDV dan bintang ajaib yang membuat siswa bekerja sama dalam kelompok dan tertantang menyelesaikannya. Pada komik matematika dan penyajian masalah, bahasa yang digunakan sebaiknya menggunakan bahasa yang sering didengar siswa. LKPD dengan model problem based learning dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, LKPD, problem based learning

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of discovery learning model in terms of students mathematical conceptual understanding. The population of this research was students of 8th grade in SMP Negeri 1 Punggur in academic year of 2016/2017 that were distributed into 9 classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII A and VIII B class which were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument of this research was test of mathematical conceptual understanding. The data analysis of this research used two-point equality test is t test and one-side proportion test. Based on the result of the research, it was concluded that discovery learning model was not effective in terms of students mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model discovery learning ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Punggur tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam sembilan kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII B yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji kesamaan dua rata-rata yaitu uji t dan uji proporsi satu pihak. Abstract

This qualitative research aimed to describe the students critical mathematical thinking disposition on Socrates Scientific learning. The subject of this research were the students of class VII-H of SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung 2017/2018 academic year. The data of this research were qualitative data about students critical mathematical thinking disposition which were gotten by observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique of this research used three stages, that were reducting, displaying, and getting conclusion of data. The result of the research proved that Students critical mathematic thinking dispotition can be found from all the students in all mathematic ability in Scientific Socrates and it was found indicators of every students were different. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran Socrates Saintifik. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-H SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Data penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif mengenai disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan terhadap data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa disposisi berpikir kritis matematis dapat muncul pada semua siswa dari berbagai kemampuan matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode Socrates Saintifik dan indikator yang muncul dari setiap siswa disetiap pertemuan berbeda-beda. Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the difference of students mathematical conceptual understanding between cooperative learning model of number head together type and cooperative learning model of think pair share type. The design of this research was post-test only control design. The population of this research was grade 8th students of SMPN 31 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2013/2014. The samples of this research were students of VIII-G and VIII-H class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. Based on the result of data analysis, it was concluded that there was no different of mathematical conceptual understanding between cooperative learning model of NHT and TPS type. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe number head together dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 31 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII G dan VII H yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematis anatara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dan TPS.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep matematis, NHT, TPS

Abstract

The population of this study is all students of class VIII SMPN 23 Bandar Lampung academic year 2016/2017. The samples of this research were students of VIII-C and VIII-E classes which were chosen by purposive random sampling. Instruments used in research is test instruments. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. Analysis data of this research using t-test. Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that the implementation model of Inquiry based Learning wasnt effective in terms of students critical thinking skill but it was better than conventional learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Inquiry Based Learning ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Abstract

This qualitative research aimed to describe studentss mathematical critical discourse on learning by Socrates Scientific. Subjects of this research were students of class VII-L of SMPN 20 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2016/2017. Data of this research was qualitative data about students mathematical discourse which were taken by observation, documentation, and interview. Three procedures of data analysis were data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification. Based on the result of the research, it was concluded that in mathematical discourse, there were: (1) interpretation and analysis as the dominant indicators of critical thinking ability, (2) clarification and investigation assumptions as Socratic question that was used by teacher more frequently, (3) communicating as Scientific phase that was more frequently appeared. Besides that, the research findings were characteristic pattern of mathematical discourse, mathematical discourse form, and the factors that influence students response in mathematical discourse.Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan percakapan kritis matematis siswa pada pembelajaran Socrates Saintifik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-L SMP Negeri 20 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif tentang percakapan matematis siswa yang diperoleh melalui catatan lapangan, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh simpulan bahwa dalam percakapan matematis terdapat: (1) interpretasi dan analisis sebagai indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dominan muncul, (2) pertanyaan Socrates bertipe klarifikasi dan asumsi-asumsi penyelidikan yang lebih banyak digunakan guru, (3) tahap mengomunikasikan sebagai tahapan Saintifik yang banyak terlihat. Selain itu, diperoleh temuan berupa pola karakteristik percakapan matematis, bentuk percakapan matematis, dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi respon siswa dalam percakapan matematis.Kata kunci: metode socrates, pendekatan saintifik, percakapan kritis matematis.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the influence of contextual teaching and learning towards students mathematical conceptual understanding. The population of this research was all students of grade ninth of SMP 4 Gedong Tataan in odd semester academic years of 2014/2015 as many as 143 students that was distributed into four classes (IXA - IXD). The samples were taken by purposive sampling and it was obtained students of IXD as experimental class and IXC as control class. This research used post-test only control design. The data of this research were score of students mathematical conceptual understanding which was obtained by test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was known that the students mathematical conceptual understanding with CTL was higher than conventional learning. Thus, the implementation of CTL affects towards students mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh contextual teaching and learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Gedong Tataan semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 sebanyak 143 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas (IXA IXD). Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan diperoleh siswa kelas IXD sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas IXC sebagai kelompok kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan post-test only control design. Data penelitian ini berupa skor pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang diperoleh melalui tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan CTL lebih dari pembelajaran konvensional. Abstract

This naturalistic qualitative research aimed to describe students mathematical critical thinking disposition in Socrates Contextual learning. The subjects of this research were students of VII B class of SMP Al Kautsar Bandarlampung in academic year of 2014/2015. The subjects of this research were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data of students mathematical critical thinking disposition were obtained by observation, documentation, questionnaire, and interviews. Before analyzing the data, the researcher did the triangulation of data sources. The data analysis technique of this research used three stages, that were reducting, displaying, and getting conclusion of data. Based on this research, it was concluded that the mathematical critical thinking disposition indicator which appeared dominantly in Socrates Contextual learning was critical thinking of self-confidence.Penelitian kualitatif naturalistik ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII B SMP Al Kautsar Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Subjek penelitian ini dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data kualitatif disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, angket, dan wawancara. Sebelum menganalisis data, peneliti melakukan triangulasi sumber data.
