Abstract

This naturalistic qualitative research aimed to analyze students critical thinking self-efficacy in Socrates Contextual Learning. The subjects of this research were students of VIIB class of SMP 19 Bandarlampung in even semester, academic years of 2014/2015, which were consisted of 27 students and it was focused on 8 students, who had high, middle, and low levels of critical thinking self-efficacy, which were obtained by purposive sampling technique. The data of this research were obtained by student's journal, observation recording, critical thinking self-efficacy scale, interview, and documentation. The data analysis of this research used three stages, that were reducting, displaying, and getting conclusion of data. Based on the analysis of data, it was concluded that the critical thinking self-efficacy which appeared dominantly in Socrates Contextual Learning is magnitude dimension.Penelitian kualitatif naturalistik ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis self-efficacy berpikir kritis siswa dengan Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIB SMP Negeri 19 Bandarlampung semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, yang terdiri dari 27 siswa yang difokuskan terhadap delapan siswa yang memiliki self-efficacy berpikir kritis tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui jurnal siswa, catatan lapangan, skala self-efficacy berpikir kritis, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga langkah, yaitu reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan terhadap data. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa self-efficacy berpikir kritis yang dominan muncul pada Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual adalah dimensi magnitude.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, self-efficacy, Socrates kontekstual

Abstract

This research aimed to develop student worksheets learner (LKPD) that was able to reduce the learning obstacle and find out the results of its implementation in terms ofstudentsability and disposition of mathematical concept understanding.TheLearning obstacle meansthatthe learning difficulties experienced by students when studying pythagorean theorem.The subject of this research was VIII class students ofMTs Nurul Ummah in academic years of 2016/2017.Thedata collection techniques used observation, documentation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results showed that theworksheets based guided discovery for pythagorean theorem able to facilitate ofstudents ability and disposition of mathematical concept understanding and reduce the learning obstacles that exist. The analysis of the student's response and findings during implementation used for a basis of further improvement of theworksheets.Penelitian pengembangan (Research Development) ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD teorema pythagoras yang mampu mengurangi hambatan belajar dan mengetahui hasil implementasinya ditinjau dari kemampuan dan disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Adapun hambatan belajar yang dimaksud adalah kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa pada saat mempelajari konsep teorema pythagoras. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Ummah Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan teknik observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis penemuan terbimbing dengan materi teorema pythagoras mampu memfasilitasi kemampuandan disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Analisis terhadap respon siswa dan temuan-temuan selama implementasi dijadikan landasan untuk memperbaiki LKPD selanjutnya.Kata kunci: Pemahaman Konsep, LKPD, Penemuan Terbimbing.

Abstract

The research design which was used was one-group pretest-posttest. The population of this research was all of students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 8 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2014/2015. The sample of this research was students of VII J class that was chosen by purposive sampling technique. The data of the research were collected by students mathematical critical thinking ability test which was analyzed by the right side of paired sample t-test and proportion test. Based on the result of the research, it was concluded that Socrates Contextual Learning was not effective viewed by students mathematical critical thinking ability.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual dikaji dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII J yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test pihak kanan dan uji proporsi pihak kanan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Pembelajaran Socrates Kontekstual tidak efektif dikaji dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis matematis, kontekstual, Socrates

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of problem based learning model in terms of students mathematical communications skill. This research used posttest only control group design. The population of this research was all eighth grade students in SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2016/2017 which were distributed into 8 classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII-C and VIII-D classes which were chosen by purposive sampling. The research data were obtained by students mathematical communications skill test. Analysis data of this research used t-test and proportion test. Based on the result and discussion of this research, it was concluded that the problem based learning model was effective in terms of students mathematical communications skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis masalah ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam 8 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-C dan VIII-D yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t dan uji proporsi. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran berbasis masalah.

Abstract

This research was a quasi experimental research that aimed to find out the influence of Missouri Mathematics Project towards students understanding of mathematical concepts. Missouri Mathematics Project is a learning model that designed to help students more easy to understand the material.  The population was all students of grade VIII of Junior High School State 2 Bangunrejo in academic years 2012/2013 that consist of 183 students and distributed into five classes.  The samples were students of VIII.A and VIII.D class that determined by purposive sampling technique.  The design was posttest only control group design.  Based on the research, it was concluded that Missouri Mathematics Project influences mathematical conceptual understanding of students of grade VIII of junior high school state 2 Bangunrejo in academic years 2012/2013 in planometry concepts.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Missouri Mathematics Project terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Missouri Mathematics Project adalah suatu model pembelajaran yang didesain untuk membantu siswa lebih mudah memahami materi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bangunrejo tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 183 siswa dan terdistribusi ke dalam lima kelas.  Sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VIII.A dan VIII.D yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling.  Desain yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, diperoleh hasil bahwa Missouri Mathematics Project berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP 2 Bangunrejo tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar.Kata kunci: missouri mathematics project, model pembelajaran, pemahaman konsep matematis

Abstract

This research development aims to develop mathematical teaching materials with PQ4R method to instill the disposition skill of students' understanding on mathematical concepts. PQ4R is an instructional method which is done through reading activities. The activities in the learning process include: preview, question, read, reflect, recite and review. The disposition understanding of mathematical concepts is the tendency in understanding math concepts being studied, explaining the link between the concepts and applying the concepts in a flexible manner, accurate, efficient and precise in problem solving. The subject in this research were students of VIII B of JHS Daarul Ma'Arif 2015/2016 academic year with middle-upper thinking characters. The data were obtained through observation sheet and interviews. The research results showed that the instructional mathematical learning materials with PQ4R method was effective when it used clear language, provided clear explanations on the completion of the steps in the example given, less practices while the tasks should be in form of stories. Most students like these kind of mathematics teaching materials therefore they can enhance the disposition skill of students' understanding on mathematical concepts. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matematika dengan metode PQ4R untuk menanamkan disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. PQ4R adalah metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan kegiatan membaca. Kegiatan dalam proses pembelajarannya yaitu preview, question, read, reflect, recite dan review. Disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis adalah kecendrungan seseorang bersikap dalam memahami konsep matematika yang sedang dipelajari, menjelaskan keterkaitan antar konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep secara luwes, akurat, efisien dan tepat dalam pemecahan masalah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B SMP Daarul Maarif tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang memiliki karakter berpikir menengah ke bawah. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjuka bahwa pengembangan bahan ajara matematika dengan metode PQ4R efektif jika bahasa yang digunakan jelas, dibuat keterangan penjelas pada langkah-langkah penyelesaian pada contoh soal, latihan yang dibuat jangan terlalu banyak dan sebaiknya berbentuk soal cerita. Sebagian besar siswa menyukai bahan ajar matematika ini dan bahan ajar ini dapat menanamkan disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis, PQ4R

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the comparison of understanding of mathematical concepts of students between model of learning of group investigation (GI) and student teams achievement division (STAD). The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of SMPN 7 Kotabumi in academic year of 2014/2015 which consist of eight class, then it was taken two classes as samples by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by mathematical conceptual understanding test. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the understanding of mathematical concepts in learning model of GI was lower than STAD.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa antara model pembelajaran group investigation (GI) dan student teams achievement division (STAD). Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Kotabumi tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari delapan kelas, kemudian diambil dua kelas sebagai sampel melalui teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Abstract

This research was aimed to obtain the didactic design of social arithmetic developed by the generative learning and developed the ability of mathematical representation. This research refered to Borg and Gall's research and development procedure. They were preface research, planning and developing of product, validation, revisions and field tests. Expert validation resulted suggest that didactic design was feasible for further investigation. Field test result showed that the indicator of the highest mathematical representation ability was the verbal ability while the indicator of the lowest mathematical representation ability was the symbolic ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan desain didaktis aritmetika sosial yang dikembangkan melalui model pembelajaran generatif serta mengembangkan kemampuan representasi matematis peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengacu pada prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan oleh Borg Gall yaitu penelitian pendahuluan, perencanaan dan pengembangan produk, validasi, revisi-revisi dan uji lapangan. Hasil validasi ahli menyatakan desain didaktis layak untuk diteliti lebih lanjut. Hasil uji lapangan menunjukkan bahwa indikator kemampuan representasi tertinggi adalah kemampuan verbal sedangkan terendah pada kemampuan simbolik.Kata kunci: desain didaktis, kemampuan representasi matematis.

This research population was all students of grade 8th of SMP Mitra Bakti Bandar Sribhawono in academic year of 2014/2015 that was distributed into four classes. This research samples were students of VIII A and VIII B class who were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematical representations skill. Based on result of research, it was concluded that students mathematical representations skill in think talk write was higher than think pair share learning model.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa antara model pembelajaran think pair share dan think talk write. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Mitra Bakti Bandar Sribhawono tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas.
