Abstract

Problem-solving skills are a crucial competency in physics learning, but assessments of optical instrument materials often focus solely on routine tasks and final project results, without incorporating integrated project-based assessment tools. This study aims to analyze students' problem-solving skills using a project-based assessment on optical instrument materials, following the steps outlined by Heller and Heller. This study employed descriptive research with 64 eleventh-grade students as subjects. The assessment instruments were developed based on problem-solving indicators, as outlined by Heller and Heller, including problem focus, problem description, solution planning, plan implementation, and solution evaluation. Data were collected through observation of students' learning activities and analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of achievement percentages. The study's results demonstrated a high level of validity, as verified by experts, and a high level of practicality, supported by positive responses from students. Problem-solving indicators, including focus on the problem, solution planning, plan implementation, and solution evaluation, achieved an average of 82% (very good category), while the problem description indicator achieved 77% (good category). These findings suggest that project-based assessment tools have potential in supporting the development of students' problem-solving skills, although they need to be strengthened in terms of physically describing problems. This study contributes to the alignment of project-based problem-solving indicators, offering a process-oriented and contextual approach to assessing cognitive skills. Further research is recommended to test the effectiveness of PjBL directly on improving students' problem-solving skills through experimental designs with control groups, as well as the development of more adaptive digital instruments for application in 21st-century physics education.

Abstract

One of the important models for improving the socialization skills of early childhood is the project learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the project learning model on the development of socialization skills in children at Kindergarten 'Aisyiyah 3 Kampung Baru, Bandar Lampung, aged 5-6 years. This study is a quantitative study with an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population was 50 children with a sample of 25 children using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used documentation and observation. The results showed that the application of the project learning model increased the average score from the pretest (20.44) to the posttest (32.44). With an N-Gain score of 0.584, it is in the moderate category. The project learning model has an influence of 56.3% on improving children's socialization skills, according to the results of a simple linear regression test, with an R Square value of 0.563. These results support the idea that the application of the project learning model has a significant effect on improving the social aspects of early childhood.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a proper, practical and effective disciplinary attitude assessment instrument for measuring the disciplinary attitude of fifth grade elementary school students. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research, development is carried out referring to Borg & Gall's theory. The population in this study were educators and students of class V SDN 5 Jatimulyo. The data collection tool uses a valid and reliable questionnaire instrument. The final average results from the validation of evaluation experts and language experts obtained a score of 94% with very valid criteria. The students' practitioner test results were 93% with very practical criteria. The data analysis technique uses the calculation of the percentage of effectiveness of the questionnaire to determine the correctness of the results of the observation score for students' discipline attitudes, which was obtained at 87.70%, the self-assessment discipline attitude score was obtained at 87.99% and the peer-assessment discipline attitude score was obtained at 88.20%. Meanwhile, in assessing the effectiveness of educators' disciplinary attitudes, an average score of 90 was obtained in the very effective category. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the disciplinary attitude assessment instrument is effective for use in elementary schools.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop an assessment instrument for problem-based Phase B science learning that is valid, practical and effective for measuring the critical and creative thinking abilities of students in elementary schools. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D), with development design referring to Borg & Gall theory. The population in this study was class IV students at SDN 4 Bumi Waras Bandar Lampung. Data collection tools use valid and reliable test instruments. The final average validation results from material experts, evaluation experts and language experts obtained a score of 87.75% with very valid criteria. The test results for the educator practitioners were 83% and the students were 82% with very practical criteria. The data analysis technique uses the One-Sample Z-Test to determine the correctness of the results of the assessment scores with a significance level of 95% (α 0.05), with a significance value of 0.023 obtained, indicating that the sig. value < 0.05 means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so Effective assessment instrument for measuring students' critical and creative thinking abilities in elementary schools. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the assessment instruments for problem-based science learning are valid, practical and effective for measuring the critical and creative thinking abilities of students in elementary schools.

Abstract

Educational supervision in schools plays an important role in maintaining and improving the overall quality of education. The quality of education is determined by various factors, one of which is the role of teachers. This study aims to explore the role of teacher supervision in learning quality. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, so it is necessary to conduct observations and interviews in one of the public junior high schools in Central Lampung District. The result obtained from this research is that the role of teacher supervision is very important in improving the quality of learning in schools. Supervision that is carried out in a planned and data-based manner has a positive impact on the capacity development of teachers and principals. Various challenges faced in implementing supervision, such as managerial busyness, lack of preparation from teachers, and limited facilities, can be overcome with improved coordination, more careful planning, and the use of technology to support the supervision process. This teacher supervision is seen in the improvement of learning quality, more effective education management, and better achievement of educational goals. Thus, teacher supervision plays an essential role in creating a quality and sustainable learning environment.
