Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses about analysis of -ta and -teiru as a marker of aspects of Japanese and equivalents in Indonesian. The purpose of this study is to find out what different of Ta and -teiru and the corresponding equivalent in Indonesian. The data of this study are sentences in the form of –ta and –teiru from Kimi no Nawa and Nihongo Bunkei Ziten. This study uses the translational equivalent method and the determining element sorting technique. The results of this study indicate that the types of verbs found in the form sentences –ta and –teiru are stative verbs, movement verbs, and continuative verbs and verb types affect the type of aspect. The meaning of the aspects carried by the form -ta and -teiru is durative, intensive, accumulative, commututive, and progressive. Match corresponding to each sentence can be interpreted with a moderate, middle, again, has been, is and has been, or could be interpreted as meaning of the verb itself. However, not all forms of Ta and -teiru can be paired with a moderate, middle, again, it's been, are, or have been for the type of verbs also affect whether the verb can be paired with a moderate, middle or longer. Affixation ter- and ber- on hirogatteiru verb 'lie' and hikatteiru 'glowing' also affects the type of verb.Key Words: Aspects, verbs, equivalents

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses the analysis of errors in the use of auxiliary verbs conducted by students of 2015 and 2016 of the Japanese Language Education Department, Faculty of Teacher’s Training and Education, Riau University. The purpose of this research is to find out what mistakes made by students of 2015 and 2016 of the Japanese Language Education Department, Riau University, in the use of -te iru in Japanese sentences and what factors cause errors. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method types. Data was obtained from the distribution of test questions and questionnaires to 30 respondents, which is 15 students from 2015 and 15 students from 2016. The results showed that the percentage of student errors in the use of –te iru was classified as quite high, amounting to 52.19%. Factors causing errors in the use of –te iru are students difficulty in understanding the use of –te iru because it is difficult to match them into native language, students only know the use of –te iru sentence patterns to express the meaning of ongoing activities, students rarely use the – te iru sentence pattern, and there are many functions and meanings that must be known so that most students are still confused in using –te iru sentence patterns such as distinguishing meanings, functions, and also having difficulty in translating.Key Words: Error analysis, te iru

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find the meaning and function of daroo and yone as the requests for confirmation in Japanese. The background to this research is the similarity between the two expressions. Data were analyzed using the theory of modality by Nitta. As the results, daroo which basically has the element of doubt as well as the meaning of a great possibility that cause requests for confirmation. As an expression of confirmation the two can replace each other depending on the degree of certainty by the speaker based on information on the proposition, interlocutor, and the situation. Daroo is difficult to replace with yone when used as a reminder. On the other hand, yone is difficult to replace with daroo when used as an affirmation of agreement or conformity with the interlocutor.Key Words: shuujoshi, modality, proposition

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research to know the level of mastery of Japanese vocabulary of students before and after aplied thematic dominoes game techniques. This research used quasi experimental research with pretest posttest control group design. The object of this research is 20 students of experimental class and 20 students of control class. Data collection was performed by giving test. The given test was 25 items. The writer applies two tests, they are pretest and posttest. Pretest is given before the students are taught by implementing thematic dominoes game techniques, and posttest is given after the students are taught with implementing thematic dominoes game techniques. On average pretest results obtained by the experimental class students was 45,4 and at posttest increased by 37 into 82,4. While, On average pretest results obtained by the control class students was 44,3 and at posttest increased by 15,3 into 59,6. So there is a significant impact with application of thematic dominoes game techniques on the learning Japanese vocabulary of elevanth grade students at SMA N 9 Pekanbaru. Thus, it can be concluded that thematic dominoes game techniques was effective in the on the learning Japanese vocabulary.Keywords: Thematic Dominoes, Japanese Vocabulary

Abstract

Abstract: During the current covid-19 pandemic, teaching and learning activities turned into online learning. But online learning is experiencing many obstacles. Inadequate infrastructure and learning goals that are not conveyed properly are one of the obstacles felt by lecturers and students.The aim of the study was to find out how students perceive online grammar learning using descriptive quantitative approach methods.Data collection in this study used non-tests in the form of kuisoner with 68 respondents as the population.From this study obtained the results that the perception of students to the aspect of planning is in the good category with a percentage of 79.5%, the implementation aspect is in the good category with a percentage of 70.0% and the evaluation aspect is in the category of less good with a percentage of 66.3%.Key Words : Perception, Grammar, Online Learning.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the functions of Japanese shikamo and sonoue conjunctions and their equivalents in Indonesian. This study aims to explain the differences and similarities in the use of shikamo and sonoue. To explain the differences and similarities, a literature review is conducted and translational methods are used to match them. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that the function of the shikamo conjunction is a conjunction used to connect sentences equivalent to adding details of the assertion, both subjectivity and objectivity of the speaker in reinforcing things unexpectedly accompanied by propositions in them. These uses can be paired with forms {and more, moreover, and, besides, even, in addition, in addition, after all, moreover, likewise, then, then, afterwards, furthermore, additionally, in fact, that, in fact, in fact, even, even so, even though even so, even though, even so, but and yet in Indonesian. Whereas the sonoue conjunction function is a conjunction used to link the addition of details as a condition, affirmation statement, speaker subjectivity with propositions in the conclusions and statements of continuation of the clauses or sentences conveyed earlier. Abstract

Abstract : The purposes of this research is to determine which particle  is the most  deleted  and how changes in word word order  on Japanese’s facebook status and what affect of changes inword order.  The objects of this research is  the deleted particle and changes in word order on Japanese’s facebook status which are posted on facebook. This research is descriptive qualitative which is interpret the object based on theory. The data of this research are collected by reading status posted on facebook, that status contains the deleted particle changes in word order, then it is arranged by written technique.  Theory in analyzing the data of this research is theoretical form of spoken language based on Tomisaka (1996) and Seiichi Makino theory, and use praat aplication to know intonation effect in the improvement of word order. The result of this research shows the most deleted particle on Japanese’s facebook status is particleを(wo) and changes in word order on Japanese’s facebook status is higher intonation to focus the sentence element. Hope this research with larger  number need to  be done,  so that  the  result  of this  research can be generalized.Keyword: Deleted particle, changes in word order, Facebook

Abstract

Abstract: This research explains the form and relation, function and meaning of epistemic modality ni chigainai and hazu da,and its equivalent in Indonesian. This analysis based on the concept of modality by Heiko Narrog (2019) and Hasan Alwi (1992). The method that used in this research is descriptive method. As for the results, ni chigainai is used to state the conclusions and beliefs of the speaker to the situation that is in the first proposition, or based on strong evidence. The form of hazu da functions to state the conclusions and beliefs of the speaker based on information with a high degree of certainty or based on strong evidence. The meaning of the use of ni chigainai and hazu da is 'kepastian' with the equivalent of adverb formsaya merasa yakin, saya merasa pasti, pasti, pastinya, tentunya, tentuand niscaya, and adverb pasti, tentunya and tentu; „keharusan‟ with adverb seharusnya, semestinya,and sepatutnya in Indonesian.Key Words: modality, form and relation, function and meaning, equivalent

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose of this study was to examine the ability of the pronunciation of the phoneme /N/ in Japanese language students of Riau University. Phoneme /N/ produce different sounds, depending on what vowels and consonants accompanying before and after. Data analysis was done by collecting the pronunciation of the phoneme /N/ to serve targeted students and the data analyzed.Based on study results, authors concluded that the pronunciation of the phoneme /N/ influenced by the pronunciation habits and meeting phoneme /N/ with accompanying phoneme. Keywords:Phonemes, Pronunciation Habits

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the refusal and evasive responses to speech acts of praise in the drama “Oh! My Boss! Koi wa bessatsu de”, “Ao Haru Ride” movie, and “Isshukan Friends” movie. The method is descriptive qualitative based on pragmatic principles. The results of the study indicate that the intention of the response to reject and evade the speech act of praise is to be polite. Based on these findings, there are two types of implicatures, namely general conversational implicatures based on Japanese culture and specific conversational implicatures based on the context of speech.Key Words: response, implicature, speech acts, praise
