Abstract

Education in the 21st century is faced with demands to prepare students with skills that are relevant to the dynamics of society and the ever-evolving world of work. Developing a 21st century skills-based curriculum is a must to ensure that graduates not only have academic knowledge, but also the skills necessary to succeed in an era marked by the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This paper explains perspectives in developing a 21st century skills-based curriculum, outlining critical aspects such as critical thinking skills, creativity, effective communication, and collaboration. This perspective addresses the urgent need to integrate 21st century skills into the curriculum, creating relevant and contextual learning experiences. However, the implementation process is not free from a number of challenges that require serious attention. These challenges involve paradigm shifts in teaching and learning approaches, adjustments to assessment methods, and increased stakeholder involvement. In addition, this article also provides an overview of how teachers can develop their skills through a professional development approach that focuses on the needs of a 21st century skills-based curriculum. Through a deep understanding of these perspectives and challenges, it is hoped that we can design effective solutions that can be implemented at various levels of education.

Abstract

This research examines the managerial role of the school principal and community participation in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SDN Gunung Picung 07 Pamijahan, Bogor. This research aims to identify the impact of the school principal's managerial role and community involvement on the success of curriculum implementation. With a qualitative approach, data is collected through observation, interviews and documentation, and analyzed inductively using triangulation techniques to ensure validity. The research results show that the managerial role of the school principal and community participation, including parental involvement and the Foster Friends Movement (GERTA) program, play an important role in the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The successful implementation of this curriculum depends on strong principal management, active community participation, as well as support and innovation in teaching methods, which overall support effective curriculum implementation and bring positive change in education.

Abstract

This research is to determine leaders' skills in communication and decision making based on Islamic values ​​in an educational context. The method used is a qualitative methodology with data collected through the library research method. The data obtained in this method is based on facts, reality in the field and not designed by researchers through research research. The results of this research are that the success of a leader in influencing by using influencing tactics is largely determined by the leader's skills and experience. Leaders who have high skills and experience are easier to influence than those with low skills and experience. Leaders must understand various influencing tactics or strategies and how to use each influencing tactic. If with these influencing tactics or strategies the target/people influenced are influenced and change their attitudes, behavior and thought patterns, then the leader has succeeded in influencing the target and the influencing process is complete.

Abstract

The regulations for the development of the muadalah Islamic boarding school curriculum contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia number 31 of 2020 emphasize the importance of maintaining the characteristics of each Muadalah Islamic boarding school. development consisting of planning, implementation and evaluation is a crucial aspect in this process. This research method uses a qualitative approach with triangulation data collection techniques. The research location is at the Rafah Islamic Boarding School. The results of this research indicate that the development of the Islamic boarding school curriculum at the Rafah Islamic Boarding School focuses on planning, implementation and evaluation. Planning for the curriculum Development of the Muadalah Islamic Boarding School refers to the vision and mission of the Rafah Islamic Boarding School by enriching the curriculum content that integrates science, faith and charity. There is close integration between religious knowledge and general science in the curriculum, which is designed in intra-curricular, extra-curricular and co-curricular contexts. Implementation of Islamic Boarding School Curriculum Development begins with the curriculum orientation stage for the teachers who handle the material. The muadalah curriculum program was developed by adopting a learning process inside and outside the classroom, which reflects the characteristics of the Rafah Islamic Boarding School education system which is integrative, comprehensive and independent. Curriculum Development Evaluation involves supervision activities which include guarding, supervising and controlling curriculum implementation.

Abstract

Every company generally has a brand that serves as its unique identity and plays a crucial role in driving sales growth. In addition, accurate and effective distribution channels can also increase a company’s sales volume. This study aims to examine the influence of brand and distribution channels on the sales volume of an automotive company. The research employs a quantitative approach using both primary and secondary data. The population of this study consists of 37 respondents, all of whom were selected using a saturated sampling technique, meaning that the entire population was used as the research sample. The variables were measured using a Likert scale to obtain quantitative data. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to determine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results indicate that, simultaneously, brand and distribution channels have a significant effect on sales volume at PT. DSE. Partially, the brand variable has a significant influence on sales volume, while distribution channels also contribute positively and significantly. These findings suggest that strengthening brand strategies and managing distribution channels effectively are essential for increasing sales volume and enhancing the company’s competitiveness.

Abstract

Islamic education faces big challenges in adapting to developments in the digital era. This article examines the challenges and opportunities in implementing the 2013 Curriculum on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in the digital era at the MTS SA An-Nur School, Ciseeng District, Bogor. This research identifies the positive and negative impacts of technology integration in PAI learning, as well as the challenges faced by teachers and students. The main focus of this research is the importance of digital literacy, interactive learning, and curriculum adaptation to meet contemporary cultural needs. Even though digital technology offers various innovations and wider accessibility, it is important to ensure that the integration of this technology remains in accordance with Islamic principles and strengthens Islamic identity in the educational process.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar belakang Kanker serviks masih menjadi masalah yang signifikan di seluruh dunia. Angiogenesis sangat berperan dalam hal progresivitas, invasi dan metastasis.Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) sebagai faktor angiogenik primer merupakan salah satu faktor prognostik karsinoma sel skuamosa serviks bila ekspresinya meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ekspresi VEGF dan karakteristik klinikopatologis pada karsinoma sel skuamosa serviks. Metode Penelitian ini adalah penelitian cross sectional. Lima puluh tiga sampel terdiri atas 40 jaringan hasil biopsi dan 13 histerektomi diambil dari arsip di bagian Patologi Anatomi RSMH, dilakukan pulasan dengan antibodi VEGF, diidentifikasi dan dianalisis hubungannya dengan stadium klinis, derajat keganasan histologi, invasi limfovaskular, status limfonodus, kedalaman invasi dan keterlibatan parametrium. Hasil Ekspresi VEGF positif pada karsinoma sel skuamosa serviks lebih banyak dijumpai pada kelompok usia >50 tahun, stadium IIIB dan IVA, derajat keganasan semakin buruk, invasi limfovaskular dan status limfonodus positif serta kedalaman invasi stroma hingga 2/3 bagian luar dan tanpa keterlibatan parametrium. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara ekspresi VEGF dengan kategori usia (p=0,038) dan korelasi yang kuat antara persentase positif ekspresi VEGF dengan usia (r=0,709) dan derajat keganasan (r=0,897). Namun, tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara ekspresi VEGF dengan karakteristik klinikopatologis (p>0,05). Kesimpulan VEGF belum dapat digunakan sebagai faktor prediktor progresivitas pada karsinoma sel skuamosa serviks Kata kunci : Karsinoma sel skuamosa serviks, VEGF, karakteristik klinikopatologis. ABSTRACT Background Cervical cancer remains a significant problem worldwide. The angiogenesis has an important role in the progression, invasion and metastasis. VEGF is a primary angiogenic factor that is one of the prognostic factor of cervical squamous cell carcinoma if the expression of VEGF increases. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the expression of VEGF and clinicopatological characteristics of the cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Methods It was a cross-sectional study. Fifty-three samples of biopsy and hysterectomy tissue were from the archives of the Anatomical Pathology Department of RSMH, stained with VEGF antibody, identified and analyzed the relation to clinical stage, histological grade, lymphovascular invasion, lymph node status, depth of invasion and parametrial involvement. Results The positive expression of VEGF in cervical squamous cell carcinoma was more common in the age group > 50 years, stage IIIB and IVA, the worse histological grade, the positive invasion lymphovascular and lymph nodes status, deep of stromal invasion up to the outside 2/3 and without parametrial involvement. There was a significant correlation between the expression of VEGF and the age category (p=0.038) and a strong correlation between the percentage of positive expression of VEGF andthe age range (r=0.709) and the histological grade (r=0.897). There was no significant correlation between the expression of VEGF and clinicopatologic characteristics (p>0.05). Conclusion VEGF can not be used as a progression predictor factorof thesquamous cell carcinoma. Key words : cervical squamous cell carcinoma, VEGF, clinicopathologic characteristics

Abstract

Latar belakangPada spesimen biopsi yang berukuran kecil, terkadang patolog mengalami kesulitan untuk membedakan karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit dan pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia. Penurunan ekspresi E-cadherin dan overekspresi p63 dapat dijumpai pada neoplasia ganas, dan sebaliknya pada lesi non neoplastik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis perbedaan ekspresi E-cadherin dan p63 pada karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit dan pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia.MetodePenelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan rancangan potong lintang. Spesimen karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit yang diteliti sebanyak 23 kasus (13 kasus dengan derajat diferensiasi baik, 6 kasus dengan derajat diferensiasi sedang, 4 kasus dengan derajat diferensiasi buruk) dan 15 kasus pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia, kemudian dilakukan pewarnaan imunohistokimia E-cadherin dan p63 dan dinilai ekspresinya.HasilPada karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit tampak penurunan ekspresi E-cadherin (p=0,000) dan overekspresi p63 (p=0,000) jika dibandingkan dengan pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia.KesimpulanPenelitian ini menunjukkan perbedaan ekspresi E-cadherin dan p63 antara kasus karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit kulit dengan pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia. Sehingga E-cadherin dan p63 merupakan dua marker penting yang cukup andal untuk membedakan kasus karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit khususnya membedakan karsinoma sel skuamosa kulit berdiferensiasi baik dengan pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia.

Abstract

BackgroundInteraction between cancer cells and tumor microenvironment plays roles in cancer proliferation and invasiveness. Many type ofcytokine produced by inflammatory cells in tumor stroma could stimulate tumor proliferation and invasiveness, such as interleukin-17.The aim of this study is to determine the correlation between IL-17 expression and clinicopathological characteristics of breast cancer.MethodsSerial cases study was performed by enrolling 40 paraffin block of breast cancer patients. Clinicopathological characteirstics werenoted, including age, histopathological subtype and grade, TILs, lymphovascular invasion and molecular subtype. TILs were scoredby denomination area of stromal tissue occupied by mononuclear cells over total stromal area. Expression of IL-17 was examined byusing immunohistochemistry with anti-IL-17 antibody and counted from stromal mononuclear cells cytoplasm staining from five areas.The average value was used as a cut-off point in determining level of expression. Data were analysed by using SPSS v.22.ResultsMajority of the patients were more than 40 years old (75%), histopathological grade III (77.5%), without lymphovascular invasion(62.5%), luminal B molecular subtype (57.5%), and non-dominant TILs (95%). IL-17 expression was not significantly correlated withclinicopathological characteristics with p value=0.079, 0.600, 0.739, 0.883 and 1.000 respectively for age, histological grade,lymphovascular invasion, molecular subtype and TILs.ConclusionInterleukin-17 expression and clinicopathological on characteristics of breast carcinoma between histopathological grade, TILs, andlymphovascular invasion showed no significant differences. There was a tendency that the higher IL-17 expression, the higherhistopathological grade, the lower TILs and positive lymphovascular invasion

Abstract

BackgroundDiffuse Large B Cell Lymphomas (DLBCL) is divided into two subtypes, GCB and non-GCB, which are determined based on Hans'salgorithm. The GCB subtype has a better prognosis than non-GCB. Some studies indicate that the tumor progression wasinfluenced by tumor microenvironment, including CD8+ TILs located both surrounding tumor cells and peripheral. This study aims todetermine the density of CD8+ TILs in the tumor microenvironment of DLBCL subtypes.MethodsA Cross sectional study of 40 samples of DLBCL registered to Department of Anatomical Pathology Faculty of Medicine UniversitasSriwijaya/Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital from 1st October 2017 to 31st December 2018. All samples were stained usinganti-CD8 antibody, afterward, lymphocytes express CD8 were assessed both in surrounding tumor cells and peripheral. The densityof CD8 in each DLBCL subtype was analyzed statistically using Mann Whitney U Test.ResultsIn this study, non-GCB subtype was found higher in comparison to GCB subtype (72.5%) and the samples was dominated by youngages (75%). Significantly, peripheral CD8 density was higher than that of surrounding tumor cells, both in the GCB (p=0.003) andnon-GCB subtypes (p=0.000).ConclusionIn both subtypes, CD8 density is higher in peripheral than surrounding tumor cells and a high density in surrounding tumor cells willbe followed by an increase in peripheral CD8 density.
