Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to provide English tutoring for elementary school students in Ridan Permai Village, Bangkinang Kota District. The program is designed to help students master basic English skills, considering the low level of English proficiency among students in the village. Additionally, the lack of interest in learning English outside school hours presents a challenge that needs to be addressed. Through this program, it is hoped that students will develop awareness to study independently at home and improve their English skills, including listening, reading, speaking, and writing, as well as mastery of grammar and vocabulary. Evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in the students' English proficiency, with an attendance rate of 100%. It is hoped that this program will be sustainable and continued by the local community after the program ends.

Abstract

The rapid development of the global market is in the global industry where companies must have the ability to compete globally in facing the progress of the times. Therefore, the development of this global market is a challenge for companies, including UMKM Mie Lidi Krezz in Bangkinang City, which must be able to compete to present to consumers the best taste, quality, service, price, and packaging design compared to other competing products, so that they can continue to maintain their performance. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the packaging design of the Mie Lidi Krezz product in Bangkinang City by applying the Kansei Engineering approach. This approach takes into account the emotional and psychological aspects of product packaging with the aim of creating a positive experience for consumers.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Tabing Village, Koto Kampar Hulu District. The purpose of this study is to analyze the business development strategies of oil palm farmers in Tabing Village, Koto Kampar Hulu District. The research location was selected using a non-probability sampling method. The research method applied in this study is the SWOT analysis. The data used consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained directly from oil palm farmers through interviews to gather firsthand information. Meanwhile, secondary data was collected from agents or middlemen of oil palm fruit by distributing questionnaires. To describe the research findings, a SWOT matrix was used to analyze the internal and external factors in the farmers' business development strategy. This analysis provides an overview of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced in the development strategies implemented by the farmers. The research results indicate that oil palm farming in Tabing Village, Koto Kampar Hulu District, falls within the Supportive Strategy I or Aggressive Strategy category. This aggressive strategy utilizes all available strengths to maximize existing opportunities.

Abstract

Palm oil is an industrial/plantation plant that is useful as a producer of cooking oil, industrial oil and fuel. In the world, Indonesia is the largest country that produces palm oil. Most of the harvesters of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and oil palm fronds still use manual methods with egrek and dodos harvesting tools. Using a manual egrek requires quite a lot of energy and a long time in the harvesting process, therefore a tool is needed that can reduce energy and time but the price is still affordable for oil palm farmers. The egrek pipe is a tool used to cut fronds and fresh fruit bunches. Iron pipe is a mixture of aluminum containing 4% copper. Pipes and pipes can be modified into cutters of fronds and fresh fruit bunches. Modification of the tool utilizes iron pipes, iron plates, iron sticks and pipes. The principle is done by moving the tool that is designed and made forward and backward.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how the work environment and leadership influence employee performance, with work discipline serving as a mediating factor. The study was conducted at BUMDes Barokah, located in Pulau Lawas Village, Bangkinang District. A quantitative approach was used, involving 30 employees selected through a census technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire, and analysis employed multiple regression and Sobel test to examine the mediation effect. The results show that both the work environment and leadership have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Additionally, work discipline significantly mediates the relationship between these two variables and performance outcomes. This indicates that a supportive work environment and effective leadership must be complemented by strong employee discipline to improve performance. The findings suggest that BUMDes management should focus on creating a conducive workplace and applying participative leadership while also strengthening work discipline to enhance productivity and achieve organizational goals.

Abstract

The development of digital marketing for palawija farmers in Desa Ridan Permai is a strategic effort to enhance farmers’ competitiveness and income in facing modern market challenges. This community service activity aims to improve farmers’ understanding of utilizing digital technologies, such as social media and e-commerce platforms, as marketing tools for agricultural products. The methods employed include socialization, training, and direct assistance to farmers involving multiple stakeholders. The results show increased enthusiasm and capability among farmers in applying digital marketing, with potential to expand market reach and improve profits. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy and technology access require further attention. This program contributes significantly to supporting the transformation of local agribusiness towards a more advanced and sustainable digital era.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed marketing strategies, especially for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in rural areas. This community service program was conducted in Penyasawan Village, Kampar Regency, aiming to improve the digital marketing capabilities of local culinary MSMEs through training in the use of the Canva design application. The main problems faced by the MSMEs in the village include limited knowledge of digital marketing, lack of design skills, and financial constraints to hire professional graphic designers. This program provided a practical solution by organizing a hands-on training session on how to create promotional materials such as posters, banners, and social media content using Canva. The training involved 20 MSME participants and was implemented through several stages: preparation, implementation, and monitoring-evaluation. The results showed an increase in participants' abilities to independently design effective promotional materials, which are expected to expand their market reach and increase product sales. This activity not only enhanced digital literacy among MSMEs but also supported the growth of the local economy through improved promotional strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using English in food menu names on consumer purchase intention at Dapur Seblak Bangkinang. In the globalization era, the use of foreign terms is believed to enhance product appeal, especially among younger consumers. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 active customers of Dapur Seblak Bangkinang. The results show that using English in menu naming creates a more modern and trendy image, which significantly increases consumers' buying interest. These findings indicate that language strategy in product naming plays a crucial role in shaping consumer perceptions and influencing purchase decisions. Therefore, culinary business owners are encouraged to consider using foreign languages as part of their marketing strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which various factors—such as product quality, service, income level, price, consumer preferences, and ease of access to location—affect purchasing decisions for Fajwa Bakery products in Bangkinang. The research method used is a survey, with data collected through direct interviews and field observations. The respondents are customers who have previously purchased Fajwa Bakery products, selected using the accidental sampling technique, based on whoever was encountered and willing to participate. The sample size in this study was determined to be 100 people using the Lemeshow formula. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive methods and multiple linear regression. The results show that most respondents are aged between 20 and 35 years old, female, with a senior high school education level, earn between Rp 1,000,000 and Rp 2,000,000 per month, and have purchased Fajwa Bakery products at least three times in the past year.

Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the extent to which digital marketing strategies and digital services contribute to improving the operational effectiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly at Rumah Makan Fajwa located in Bangkinang. The research employed a quantitative approach, using data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires to selected respondents. To ensure data accuracy, quality tests were carried out, including validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests such as normality tests, heteroscedasticity tests, and multicollinearity tests. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis methods, which included multiple linear regression, t-tests to examine partial effects, F-tests to determine simultaneous effects, and the coefficient of determination to assess the contribution of independent variables to the dependent variable. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of digital marketing strategies significantly enhances the operational effectiveness of the MSME, Rumah Makan Fajwa. Similarly, the use of digital services has a notable impact in supporting the smoothness and efficiency of business operations. Overall, both digital marketing strategies and digital services jointly provide a significant positive contribution to the effectiveness of this MSME's business operations.
