Abstract

Writing features was still difficult for high school students, especially in expressing ideas by telling short, clear, and interesting facts. For that, we need the right technique in teaching features. One technique that is expected to help students be able to write features is the field trip technique. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to describe the application of the field trip technique in improving the ability to write features with local wisdom in high school students. The method used in this research is a classroom action research method. The action research process consists of a four-stage procedure, namely planning, action, development, and reflection. Based on pre-test data and two cycles, the use of field trip techniques can improve students' ability to write features. This increase can be seen in the achievement of the KKM, which reaches a value of 75 from the pre-cycle of 7 students or 41%, in the first cycle there are 13 students who have completed or 76%, then in the second cycle there are 17 students who have completed or 100%. Meanwhile, those who have not reached the KKM have decreased from pre-cycle by 59%, cycle I by 24%, and cycle II to 0%. For this reason, it is recommended that the field trip technique be applied in learning to write at the high school level and equivalent by providing texts that have elements of local wisdom.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effects of implementing cartoon media on the writing ability of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Lempuing, Ogan Komering Ilir.This research was carried out because no one had conducted research to overcome the limitations of students' observations and thoughts that would be more focused through caricature media as a solution.Data was collected through tests, revealing that students engaged in learning with cartoon media achieved a higher average score (79.4) compared to the control group (70.7). Hypothesis analysis using t-statistic testing yielded a Thitung value of 5.10 with a ttable of 1.45. With the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejection of the null hypothesis (H0), it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of cartoon media on the writing ability of students in creating slogans. These findings support the idea that the use of cartoon images can enhance overall student engagement, correlating with positive outcomes in writing slogan texts. The implications of this research highlight the importance of considering innovative media strategies in the educational context to improve the writing skills of middle school students.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of knowing and describing the semiotics in the mass marriage tradition of the people of Serdang Village, Toboali District, South Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands. The method used by researchers in this research is a qualitative descriptive method using Roland Bhartes' semiotic analysis to discuss the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth. Researchers conducted an analysis of the symbols and meanings contained in the mass marriage tradition. This research uses primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data collection techniques used in the research are observation techniques, interview techniques, recording techniques and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used in the research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research that has been carried out show that this mass marriage tradition was carried out by parents in 1935 and is still carried out today. In ancient times, this tradition was held after harvesting the garden with the aim of being a form of gratitude and helping the economy. in carrying out the wedding. Over time, this tradition is carried out with the aim of enlivening, preserving and maintaining the culture that has been passed down from generation to generation so that it is known to the outside community and does not become extinct. From the results of this research, researchers obtained nine symbols and two rituals which have denotational and connotative meanings in the mass marriage process. Keywords : Semiotics, Mass Marriage Traditions ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan medsekripsikan semiotik dalam tradisi kawin massal masyarakat Desa Serdang Kecamatan Toboali Kabupaten Bangka Selatan Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Metode yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode desakriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika Roland Bhartes membahas mengenai makna denotasi, konotasi dan mitos. Peneliti melakukan analisis terhadap simbol dan makna yang terdapat dalam tradisi kawin massal. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu menggunakan teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, teknik rekam dan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, tradisi kawin massal ini sudah dilaksanakan oleh orang tua dahulu pada pada tahun 1935 dan masih tetap dilakukan hingga saat ini, tradisi ini pada zaman dahulu di adakan pada saat setelah memanen hasil kebun yang bertujuan sebagai bentuk rasa syukur dan membantu perekonomian dalam melaksanakan pernikahan. Dengan seiring zaman tradisi ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memeriahkan, melestarikan dan menjaga budaya yang turun temurun agar dikenal masyarakat luar dan tidak punah. Dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti mendapatkan sembilan simbol dan dua ritual yang memiliki makna denotasi dan konotasi dalam proses kawin massal. Kata Kunci: Semiotik, Tradisi Kawin Massal

Abstract

The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 8 Palembang, precisely in class VIII 3, this activity involved 36 students using the CRT approach in learning the observation result report text based on culture. Qualitative descriptive research is used to examine the condition of natural objects. This research uses data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis includes data collection, data delivery, and drawing conclusions. Data collection at the research location was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation, then the data that had been obtained was reduced or selected. Based on the research results, it shows that the application of the CRT approach in learning the observation result report text in class VIII 3 of SMP Negeri 8 Palembang succeeded in increasing learning motivation, enthusiasm for learning and student participation. It can be said to be successful because this approach is appropriate to apply during the learning process of the observation result report text material. Apart from that, the results of observations, interviews, video documentation and photos of learning, as well as the text of the observation results report show that the implementation of the CRT approach has been successfully applied to Palembang culture. Students can get to know and love their culture.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the application of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in Indonesian language subjects in class VIII.5 at SMP Negeri 8 Palembang. This research is classified as qualitative descriptive research. Data sources used in this research include the learning process, information from the Indonesian language teacher at SMP Negeri 8 Palembang, teaching modules, and field notes about the learning process using the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation analysis. The results of this research show that implementing learning using the Teaching at the Right Level approach is in line with the stages of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach, namely classifying students' learning needs, planning and implementing learning, and reflecting and reproducing the learning process.

Abstract

Learning media is important to attract attention and create active interaction of students in the learning process so that learning activities will be effective and efficient. The selection of learning media before being applied must be selected according to the needs of students so that the learning process will be easier to achieve the desired goals. In this study, the selection of learning media to be used was selected according to the Design Thinking method. Design thinking is a problem-solving design innovation. The Design Thinking method goes through five stages: empathize, define, ideation, prototype and test. With the initial activity of finding the source of the problem, creating a model design, solving the problem with a prototype and at the end of the activity finding a new innovation that is appropriate as a form of solution to the existing problem by implementing the "Crossword" media to help students be interested and motivated in learning Indonesian in the material of the observation report results of class VIII in groups. It is expected that with the use of this media the learning process can run effectively and interactively in accordance with the objectives of the design that has been prepared.

Abstract

Penulisan karya ilmiah salah satunya Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan salah satu solusi yang diharapkan mampu memberikan pemecahan masalah yang banyak dihadapi para guru ketika mengajar. Minimnya kesempatan dan daya kreativitas guru dalam mengajar dapat diatasi melalui penerapan PTK. PTK yang dilakukan tidak hanya menyasar pada sisi pengembangan kompetensi mengajar semata guru, tetapi mampu memberikan peningkatan kualitas jenjang jabatan melalui publikasi PTK yang dilaksanakan. Metode yang dilakukan berupa pelatihan penulisan PTK yang dilakuan secara bertahap, diawali dengan pemberian materi secara umum, dilanjutkan dengan penulisan PTK yang dilakukan secara terbimbing setiap minggu secara online sampai pada publikasi hasil PTK pada jurnal terakreditasi. Sesuai dengan tujuan dan sasaran yang ingin dicapai pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan PTK ini dapat memberikan wawasan atau pemahaman peserta terhadap PTK. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kegiatan diskusi dan tanya jawab seputar PTK. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dapat memotivasi guru sebagai peserta penyuluhan untuk melakukan inovasi pembelajaran melalui kegiatan PTK. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasme peserta dalam kegiatan mengidentifikasi masalah-masalah kelas yang dihadapi dan mencari kemungkinan penyebab dan solusinya.

Abstract

Latar belakang rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimanakah langkah-langkah model PBL (Problem Based Learning) dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur pada siswa kelas XI.7 SMA Negeri 6 Palembang 2) Bagaimanakah peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur setelah digunakan model PBL (Problem Based Learning) pada siswa kelas XI.7 SMA Negeri 6 Palembang .Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan datanya meliputi teknik observasi, teknik pembelajaran, dan teknik test. Kesimpulan tersebut didukung oleh beberapa fakta hasil penelitian bahwa model problem based learnig memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan presentase ketuntasan belajar siswa yang meningkat. Terjadi peningkatan sebesar 25% pada ketuntasan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia 70% di siklus I menjadi 95% di siklus II. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia dalam menulis teks prosedur.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ada pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah proses ekranasi pada novel Bismillah Kunikahi Suamimu karya Vyantiana Itari ke dalam Film Bismillah Kunikahi Suamimu karya Benni Setiawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, untuk mendeskripsikan : perubahan, penambahan dan pencuitan cerita dan tokoh dari novel Bismilah Kunikahi Suamimu dan Film Bismilah Kunikahi Suamimu karya Benni Setiawan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari novel menggunakan teknik baca, simak, dan catat kemudian data dari film dengan menggunakan teknik tonton, catat, dan capturing. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah human instrument. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui validitas semantis dan reliabilitas (intrarer dan interrater). Hasil penelitian terdapat peristiwa yang sengaja dikurangi, ditambahkan, dan diubah secara bervariasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari film. Perubahan yang terjadi pada proses ekranisasi yakni penciutan, penambahan serta perubahan bervariasi pada bagian cerita dan tokoh. Aspek penciutan pada bagian cerita ditemukan sebanyak lima puluh cerita, aspek penambahan ditemukan sebanyak tiga puluh penambahan, aspek perubahan variasi ditemukan sebanyak sembilan belas perubahan. Aspek penciutan pada bagian tokoh ditemukan sebanyak empat belas tokoh, penambahan sebanyak sepuluh tokoh dan perubahan bervariasi sebanyak empat tokoh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 8 Palembang dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran Wordwall. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan melibatkan penilaian terhadap aspek-aspek keterampilan menulis yang meliputi hasil pengamatan, kesesuaian data dan fakta, struktur teks, jenis paragraf, dan ketepatan tanda baca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan menulis siswa setelah penggunaan media Wordwall. Secara spesifik, terdapat peningkatan rata-rata nilai keterampilan menulis siswa dari 49,1 pada siklus pertama menjadi 86,5 pada siklus kedua. Selain itu, hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa 90% siswa mengalami kemajuan dalam hasil kemampuan menyesuaikan struktur teks, sementara 85,5% siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dalam penulisan jenis paragraf yang tepat. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa media Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas teks laporan hasil observasi siswa, serta memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMP.
