Abstract

The Muslim minority community in Sari Laba Village, Sibiru-Biru District, faces limitations in understanding Islamic teachings correctly. Observations reveal that the community still practices Islam in a traditional manner. The presence of volunteers in the village plays an important role in promoting a more moderate understanding of Islam, particularly in the context of religious moderation. This study aims to identify: 1) The strategies implemented by volunteers in promoting religious moderation to sustain good religious practices; 2) The challenges faced by the Muslim minority community in practicing their religion; and 3) The best solutions offered by volunteers regarding religious moderation. This study employs a qualitative approach using theories that refer to indicators of religious moderation. The results show that: 1) Volunteers use persuasive and educational approaches with the community; 2) The main challenge lies in aligning local tribal traditions with Islamic teachings; and 3) The solutions offered by volunteers include organizing interfaith activities to foster mutual respect and tolerance.

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent the United Nations' agenda for sustainable development, encompassing 17 objectives, with Goal 5 focusing on "Achieving Gender Equality." This goal aims to eliminate gender-based discrimination and inequality. The rate of increase in women's participation in national parliaments is notably slow, standing at only 26% over a span of seven years (2015-2022). If this sluggish pace continues, achieving SDG 5 is projected to take approximately 40 years, potentially hindering economic growth. Economic empowerment of women has the potential to accelerate this participation rate while simultaneously fostering economic growth. This research aims to examine how the significant roles of women in the context of gender equality by leading a corporation and participate on parliament able to promote economic growth in middle-income countries from 2020-2022 using panel path analysis. The findings indicate that economic growth has a significant positive impact on women's leadership role to achieve gender equality, it is essential to provide equal opportunities for women, eliminate bias and discrimination, eradicate patriarchal culture, and create work environments that support work-life balance.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yakni rendahnya kemampuan dan partisipasi siswa dalam membaca serta menulis Al-Qur'an di MAN 3 Medan yang terlihat dari minimnya keterlibatan siswa dalam mata pelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadits. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memahami cara meningkatkan prestasi membaca dan menulis Al-Qur'an di MAN 3 Medan. Pendekatan penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi kasus, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MAN 3 Medan dan guru koordinator mata pelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadits serta tiga siswa informan. Proses analisis data meliputi tahap reduksi data, presentasi data, verifikasi data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan terjadinya peningkatan yang berarti dalam prestasi membaca dan menulis Al-Qur'an. Faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan tersebut meliputi peran guru yang kompeten serta keterlibatan aktif orang tua dalam mendukung pembelajaran Al-Qur’an. Peningkatan prestasi baca tulis Al-Qur'an di MAN 3 Medan dapat dicapai melalui kolaborasi yang sinergis antara guru, orang tua, dan siswa. Dengan pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif, dukungan yang berkelanjutan, dan keterlibatan aktif semua pihak terkait, prestasi baca tulis Al-Qur'an siswa dapat terus ditingkatkan untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang pentingnya peran semua pihak dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan keagamaan di MAN 3 Medan. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa peningkatan prestasi baca tulis Al-Qur'an dapat dicapai melalui kolaborasi sinergis antara guru, orang tua, dan siswa dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang efektif seperti pembelajaran berbasis proyek, sehingga memberikan panduan praktis bagi institusi pendidikan Islam untuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

This study analyses the boarding school management strategy in developing student character at State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 2 Tanjung Pura. Character education is a crucial response to globalisation's moral crisis and challenges. In Islamic education, the boarding school system is a strategic platform for consistently and sustainably nurturing moral and spiritual values. The research collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation using a descriptive qualitative approach. A total of 32 students and 15 staff members participated in the study. Data were analysed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. The findings reveal that character development is carried out through empathetic parenting, exemplary behaviour from teachers and caregivers, and senior student mentoring programs. Students and staff reported that these strategies foster discipline, independence, and responsibility. Supporting factors include consistent role modelling and structured daily routines in the dormitory. However, challenges such as the adjustment period for new students and a shortage of mentors still exist. This study supports the idea that Islamic boarding schools' humanistic and participatory management strategy creates a positive educational environment that encourages holistic character formation. These results are in line with previous research by Hasan (2021), Suryani (2020), Ma’arif (2019), Zuhri (2018), and Fadhilah (2017), who also found that well-managed dormitory systems significantly influence student moral development.

Abstract

The management of extracurricular activities plays a strategic role in supporting the achievement of educational institutions' goals, but the implementation of management functions often faces various obstacles that hinder its effectiveness. This study aims to describe the implementation of management functions in extracurricular activities at MIS Al-Quba Medan and identify the obstacles and solutions applied. The research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that management functions are implemented through systematic planning, effective organization, targeted implementation, and routine evaluation. The obstacles faced include a lack of parental support, low student discipline, and a weak administrative system. Solutions were implemented through open communication with parents, motivation- and discipline-based mentoring, strengthening the administrative system, enhancing the capacity of mentors, integrating programs with the institution's vision, and strengthening internal and external synergies. These findings emphasize that the consistent and adaptive application of management functions can enhance the effectiveness of extracurricular activities and support the achievement of educational goals in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis seberapa pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Konflik Di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 38 Medan dalam menentukan model pembelajaran siswa salah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mempermudah siswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran bahwa siswa sangat berpengaruh dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Dari hasil penelitian ini kita bisa melihat dan membuktikan bahwasanya seberapa Pengaruh Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Konflik Di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 38 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of injuries, treatments, and recovery outcomes of Bank Jatim women’s volleyball athletes during the 2025 Livoli Championship using a qualitative descriptive approach. Fourteen athletes were examined through total sampling, with primary data collected from structured interviews and direct observations, and secondary data from documentation and team records. Results revealed that almost all athletes experienced injuries at various locations, with the knee being most vulnerable (10 athletes), followed by the shoulder (6), wrist and ankle (3 each), as well as back, waist, and heel injuries. Internal factors included lack of warm-up, incorrect technique, and low muscle flexibility, while external factors related to court conditions. Treatments involved RICE, sport massage, physiotherapy, injections, surgery, kinesiotaping, and painkillers, with RICE considered the most effective. Recovery outcomes varied by injury type, but medical and physiotherapy support, along with athlete motivation, ensured optimal recovery and readiness to compete.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of good government governance as a theoretical framework in overcoming Poverty-Feminization. This objective stems from the significant slowdown in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5) on gender equality, with a progress rate of only 61.5%, categorized as far or very off track as of 2023. The research gap in this study is the in-depth study of poverty, not just poverty as in previous studies in general, but also poverty that is feminized, or centred on and directed at women. Most previous studies tend to highlight poverty from a macroeconomic perspective, such as national income, unequal distribution of resources, or indicators of overall societal welfare without specifically considering gender dimensions. However, poverty has different characteristics when experienced by women, particularly in social, economic, and cultural contexts that place women in a more vulnerable structural position. This study employs a qualitative approach using the literature review method to identify and synthesize empirical findings. Based on a literature review of 16 articles which relevant to the issue risen, it was found that the implementation of good government governance encompassing public participation, accountability, and the rule of law can effectively contribute to reducing the rate of Poverty-Feminization in lower-middle income countries.

Abstract

This study aims to: determine the implementation of the Salam Agreement on buying and selling in the hamlet of Connect Rejo, Bayu village, Songgon sub-district. This study uses a qualitative research method with the type of research case study research collected both the results of interviews, observations and documentation during conducting research in the hamlet of Connect Rejo, Bayu village, Songgon sub-district, using an interactive analysis model. The results of this study indicate that: The implementation of the salam contract on the sale and purchase of vegetables comes from several aspects, both from the farmers and the collectors themselves. The implementation of this salam contract is very beneficial for both farmers and collectors because they can know so far the practice of buying and selling is carried out according to or not with the provisions in the sale and purchase of the salam contract, namely with the concept of not being mutually beneficial to one party and mutual trust between farmers and collectors, therefore the author seeks to maximize this research so that it can help the community of Connect Rejo Hamlet, Bayu Village, Songgon District in practicing the buying and selling of vegetables that have long been carried out to meet the needs of family life, family and as their successors strive to be better in processing better vegetable crops so that they can develop the welfare of the life of the nation and the state It can be concluded that the implementation of the salam contract on the sale and purchase of vegetables in the Hamlet of Connect Rejo, Bayu Village, Songgon District, the identification of the implementation that occurs in the field, the measurement through the pillars and terms and has been practiced in the field, has gone through several long processes to form a thesis is in accordance with the provisions of the salam contract.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Learning berbantuan presentasi PowerPoint dan untuk mengetahui manakah hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi antara hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Learning berbantuan presentasi PowerPoint dan Model pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan penelitian Non Equivalent Control Group yaitu peneliti yang dilaksanakan menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan pretest dan postest. Populasi dan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A yang berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B yang berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dikenakan pretest dan diakhir dikenakan posstest. Kemudian hasilnya diolah, dianalisis, dan dibandingkan menggunakan uji t-test dan uji gain untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan peningkatan antara dua kelompok tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ada bentuk pembelajaran fikih khususnya pada peningkatan hasil belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Learning berbantuan presentasi PowerPoint 2) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,755 (tinggi). 3) ada perbedaan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Learning berbantuan presentasi PowerPoint antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol deng thitung 5, 549 > ttabel 2,657 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima..
