Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a high risk of natural disasters. Lack of natural ability to save themselves results in an enormous potential for children to suffer the most when a disaster occurs. Natural disaster preparedness needs to be introduced to children from an early age. Children are no longer a concern as victims who suffer the most but need to save themselves when in danger. The purpose of developing ASIAB clothing media is to determine the development, effectiveness, and feasibility of ASIAB clothing media for early childhood disaster preparedness. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The research subjects were media experts, material experts, and 30 teachers in TK Surabaya and Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia. Data collection was carried out using structured interview techniques and online questionnaires via google form accompanied by video supporting procedures for using ASIAB clothing media. Analyzing the feasibility and effectiveness of the ASIAB clothing media used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis with a predetermined percentage of the assessment. The results obtained show that the ASIAB clothing media is feasible in learning early childhood disaster preparedness. The feasibility of testing by media experts obtained results with the criteria "good" information "feasible" (73.33%), testing by material experts obtained results with the criteria "very good" information "feasible" (90.67%), testing by the teacher the results obtained with the criteria "very good" information "feasible and effective" (84.33%). This research provides innovations in education, namely learning media for early childhood, that can assist teachers in achieving practical disaster preparedness learning objectives. Children can get hands-on experience in earthquake disaster preparedness practice using ASIAB clothing. Disaster stages such as pre-disaster, during the disaster, and post-disaster can also be introduced to children in a series of simulation activities. Based on the results of this assessment, the ASIAB clothing media is appropriate and effective for use in early childhood disaster preparedness learning.

Abstract

This study was motivated by ability acquisition children 's vocabulary in age 4-5 years is somewhat low, so that will impact negative in communicate with the surrounding environment. This research conducted to see children 's vocabulary acquisition at Kurnia Putra Kindergarten. This study this study used action class action research approach. Subject in study this that is child K1 (or TK A) which consists of 16 children. method data collection used is observation participatory. Data analysis techniques using statistics descriptive. Research results this is activity sing could stimulate acquisition children 's vocabulary age early at Kurnia Putra Kindergarten. the thing could be seen from acquisition child 's vocabulary in cycle I day first average category not enough as much as 87.5% and on the day second no there is category less. Cycle II days first average category not enough as much as 75% and on the day second already no there is category less. This also happened in the other 3 cycles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the relationship between teacher ICT competence and children's digital literacy skills in kindergarten Surabaya. This research is a type of survey research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The sample used in this study was kindergarten teachers who teach children aged 3-6 years, totaling 98 teachers. Data were analyzed using SPSS 29 for testing analytical requirements, inferential and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a correlation and positive influence of teachers' ICT competence on children's digital literacy skills in kindergarten Surabaya. This is indicated by the Sig value < 0.05. The correlation and regression test results in the study were 0.001 < 0.05. The results of the regression equation in the study interpret that if the teacher's ICT competency variable increases by 1%, there will also be an increase in the digital literacy ability variable of kindergarten children by 0.800. This proves that it is important for teachers to improve ICT competencies to maximize early childhood digital literacy skills.

Abstract

The need for English language proficiency in this age of globalisation demands a variety of efforts to learn the lingua franca as soon as possible. The use of media is one of the teaching strategies that kindergarten teachers could employ to maximise the interests and desires of the students in English learning. This study aims to describe the development of process design and validation of a proposed learning media called ‘Expose’, which is empirically tested with a limited group. ‘Expose’ is the media that was developed to meet the needs of vocabulary learning at the level of early childhood education. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) using the ASSURE model. Validation of the content and media expert shows that ‘expose’ is being ‘very good’ for stimulation vocabulary for early childhood. Furthermore, empirical tests on a limited group (20 children aged 5-6 years in Lampah, Gresik) The study revealed that using the Expose application media to teach English vocabulary to kids between the ages of 5 and 6 significantly altered learning outcomes. The results of this research underscores how kindergarten teachers must be especially careful in choosing the appropriate vocabulary and learning technology for young children to learn.

Abstract

Abstrak Perkembangan bahasa merupakan salah satu aspek penting yang harus dikembangkan sejak usia dini karena bahasa digunakan seseorang untuk berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Salah satu kegiatan yang menyenangkan dan dapat menstimulasi perkembangan bahasa anak yaitu bercerita dengan menggunakan big book dan lagu. Anak merasa senang ketika dalam pembelajaran terdapat kegiatan bercerita dan lagu. Mereka lebih mudah memahami materi yang disampaikan. Guru di TK internasional milik Indonesia yang berada di Malaysia sudah melakukan kegiatan bercerita namun dengan buku yang berukuran kecil dan tanpa diiringi dengan lagu sehingga anak mengalami kesusahan dalam menerima informasi/materi yang disampaikan. Ukurannya yang kecil membuat anak tidak begitu jelas melihat gambar tersebut. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan praktik langsung. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu one goup pretest posttest. Peserta dalam pelatihan ini adalah seluruh anak kelompok A1 yang berada di TK ini yang berjumlah 17 anak. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu saat pretest memperoleh skor sebesar 35% dalam kriteria “rendah” dan saat posttest memperoleh skor sebesar 76% dalam kriteria “tinggi”. Hal ini menunjukkan setelah dilakukan pelatihan kemampuan anak dalam membaca permulaan meningkat. Kata kunci: Bahasa, Bercerita, Lagu, Anak Usia Dini Abstract Language development is an important aspect that must be developed from an early age because language is used by a person to interact with other people. One fun activity that can stimulate children's language development is telling stories using big books and songs. Children feel happy when in learning there are storytelling activities and songs. It is easier for them to understand the material presented. Teachers in Indonesia's international kindergartens in Malaysia have carried out storytelling activities but with small books and no songs accompanied so that children experience difficulties in receiving the information/material conveyed. Its small size makes it difficult for children to see the picture clearly. This activity uses the lecture method and hands-on practice. The research design used was one group pretest posttest. The participants in this training were all 17 children in group A1 who were in this kindergarten. The results obtained were when the pretest obtained a score of 35% in the "low" criteria and when the posttest obtained a score of 76% in the "high" criteria. This shows that after the training the children's ability to read at the beginning increases. Keywords: Language, Storytelling, Songs, Early Childhood

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the chain whisper game using BATAKA on oral communication skills in group B children at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 18 Surabaya. The number of samples used in this study was 28 children consisting of two classes, namely class B1 with 13 children and B2 with 15 children. This research uses a quantitative approach with the experimental design used, namely quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation and using data analysis techniques with the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test. The results of hypothesis testing with the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test using SPSS version 25 for Windows showed that the value was obtained. Based on the results of the analysis, the Asymp value was obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) which is 0.001 with a significant decision-making basis of less than 0.05 or Asymp. Sig. < 0.05 so it was decided that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. There is a significant difference in the average scores for pre-test activities and post-test activities in the experimental group, where the average score for pre-test activities is 8,47 while the average score for post-test activities is higher, namely 10,9. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the chain whisper game with BATAKA media on the oral communication skills of group B children at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 18 Surabaya.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan bisik berantai dengan media BATAKA terhadap kemampuan komunikasi lisan pada anak kelompok B di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 18 Surabaya. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 28 anak yang terdiri dari dua kelas, yakni kelas B1 berjumlah 13 anak dan B2 berjumlah 15 anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu quasi experimental dengan nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, dokumentasi dan menggunakan teknik analisis data dengan Uji Wilcoxon Matched Pairs. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan Uji Wilcoxon Matched Pairs menggunakan SPSS versi 25 for windows mendapatkan hasil yang diketahui bahwa nilai berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) yaitu sebesar 0,001 dengan dasar pengambilan keputusan signifikan lebih kecil dari 0,05 atau Asymp. Sig. < 0,05 sehingga diputuskan bahwa hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) dterima. Terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata yang signifikan terhadap kegiatan pre-test dan kegiatan post-test pada kelompok eksperimen, yang dimana nilai rata-rata kegiatan pre-test yaitu 8,47 sedangkan nilai rata-rata dari kegiatan post-test lebih tinggi yaitu 10,9. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh permainan bisik berantai dengan media BATAKA terhadap kemampuan komunikasi lisan pada anak kelompok B di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 18 Surabaya.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low oral communication skills of group B children at the At-Taqwa Penjaring Kindergarten, Surabaya City. Therefore, the researcher aims to conduct research to determine the effect of the read aloud method on oral communication skills in group B. The number of samples used in this research was 26 children consisting of 12 children in class B1 and 14 children in class B2. This research uses a quantitative approach with the experimental design used, namely quasi experimental with True Experiment Design. The hypothesis testing method used is the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Based on the results of the analysis, the value obtained showed a result of 0.001, where this value was smaller than the significance level α 0.05, so it was decided that Hypothesis 0 (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. So that there was an influence of the read aloud method on the oral communication skills of group children. B at At-Taqwa Kindergarten Penjaringan, Surabaya City.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan pada anak kelompok B di TK At-Taqwa Penjaring Kota Surabaya. Oleh karena itu, peneliti bertujuan untuk melakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode read aloud terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan pada kelompok B. jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 26 anak yang terdiri dari kelas B1 sejumlah 12 anak dan B2 sejumlah 14 anak. Penelitian ini menggunkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen yang digunakan yaitu quasi experimental dengan True Experiment Design. Metode pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan yaitu Wilcoxon Macthed Pairs Test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh nilai menunjukkan hasil perolehan 0.001 dimana nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari taraf signifikan α 0.05, maka didapat diputuskan bahwa Hipotesis 0 (H0) ditolak dan Hipotesis alternatif (Ha ) diterima.sehingga adanya pengaruh metode read aloud terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan anak kelompok B di TK At-Taqwa Penjaringan Kota Surabaya.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of an intervention aimed at enhancing early childhood education (PAUD) teachers' understanding and application of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and PJBL (Project-Based Learning). The intervention included professional development sessions, followed by pre-test and post-test assessments. Results indicated significant improvements in teachers' knowledge and pedagogical skills. The teachers' modules, created post-intervention, covered diverse themes such as disaster mitigation, resource management, and environmental conservation, reflecting their ability to integrate STEM and PJBL into engaging activities. The significant increase in post-test scores demonstrated the intervention's success in equipping teachers with the necessary skills to design and implement STEM-based learning using the PJBL approach. These findings suggest that such interventions are effective in enhancing early childhood educators' capabilities, ultimately benefiting young learners by providing them with enriching, real-life applicable educational experiences. This study highlights the importance of continuous professional development in advancing educational practices.

Abstract

Sex education for children is not just about directing how to have sex. Some of them are body parts, caring for the body, maintaining behavior according to environmental norms. Parents' perceptions regarding sex education cannot be separated from the surrounding environment. The environment influences children's self-regulation. Self-regulation has a major influence on children's emotional and social development. This research uses a quantitative approach using a correlation research model. The sample in this study were parents who had children aged 5-6 years at KB-TK Khodijah. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The data obtained was then analyzed using the SPSS application program. The research results obtained are that there is a relationship between parents' perceptions of sex education and children's self-regulation, with a low degree of relationship and the form of the relationship, namely a positive relationship.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan ensiklopedia tema antariksa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif anak usia 5-6 Tahun. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE  dan menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen design tipe one group pretest posttest. Sasaran dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelompok B TKIT Darul Ilmi yang berjumlah 13 anak. Hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media mendapatkan rata-rata 98,2% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji kepraktisan guru mendapatkan presentase sebesar 65% dan berada pada kategori praktis. Keefektifan ensiklopedia dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil itu menunjukkan bahwa Asymp. Sing. (2-tiled) sebesar 0.001 sehingga kurang dari 0.05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata antara nilai pre-test dan nilai post-test yang mengalami kenaikan skor pada hasil pre-test ke post-test. Dari data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwasanya ensiklopedia tema antariksa efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif anak usia 5-6 tahun
