Abstract

Komunikasi dakwah yang dilakukan oleh da’i dalam membinaan mualaf sangat penting bagi perrubahan sudut pandang dan perilaku komunitas mualaf dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sesuai dengan ajaran Islam, mengingat da’i sebagai tokoh sentral bagi pengetahuan keagamaan mualaf. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis komunikasi dakwah yang dilakukan da’i dalam pembinaan komunitas mualaf di kawasan pegunungan Karomba yang meliputi da’i sebagai komunikator, materi atau pesan ajaran Islam yang disampaikan, media yang digunakan dalam pembinaan dan perubahan sikap komunitas mualaf yang menerima pembinaan keagamaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi langsung. Sedangkan data sekunder didapatkan dari studi pustaka pada berbagai sumber bacaan yang sesuai dengan tema. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, komunikasi dakwah dilakukan dengan tatap muka secara langsung dalam kelompok pengajian dan konsultasi syari’ah, ceramah keagamaan serta kelompok belajar mengaji. Kedua, materi yang disampaikan da’i berupa nilai-nilai dasar keagamaan, keutamaan Islam dan keindahan-keindahan Islam, shalat dan mengaji. Ketiga, media yang digunakan da’i dalam pembinaan adalah dengan cara tatap muka secara langsung. Keempat,  terjadi perubahan sikap pada diri mualaf setelah mendapatkan pembinaan, yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan komunitas mulaf tentang Islam, seperti pengetahuan tentang nilai-nilai tauhid, akhlak dan syariat. The da'wah communication carried out by the da'i in fostering converts is very important for changing the perspective and behavior of the converts community in daily life according to Islamic teachings, considering that the da'i is a central figure for converts' religious knowledge. This study seeks to identify and analyze the da'wah communication carried out by preachers in coaching the community of converts in the Karomba mountain area which includes preachers as communicators, the material or messages of Islamic teachings conveyed, the media used in coaching, and changes in the attitudes of the converts who accept religious formation. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach, primary data collection is done by interview and direct observation. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained from literature studies on various reading sources in accordance with the theme. The results showed that first, da'wah communication was carried out face-to-face in recitation groups and shari'ah consultations, religious lectures, and Koran study groups. Second, the material presented by the da'i was in the form of basic religious values, the virtues of Islam and the beauties of Islam, prayer, and recitation. Third, the media used by da'i in coaching is face-to-face. Fourth, there is a change in the attitude of the converts after receiving guidance, namely increasing knowledge of the mulaf community about Islam, such as knowledge of the values of tawhid, morals, and sharia.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology and the emergence of new media, the form of social movement has also developed into not only physical action and mass movements on the street, but it has turned into new kind of actions with more varied forms of movement.  such as movement through social media and memes on Instagram. On June 26, 2021, BEM UI through @bemui_official instagram account, had brought up the meme "Jokowi: The King of Lip Service" which went viral in cyberspace, this meme managed to attract reactions from related parties and also gained a wide response from the public. This study aims to examine the meaning of the socio-political movement of the meme "Jokowi: The King of Lip Service" uploaded by the BEM UI Instagram account, using an interpretive paradigm and a qualitative-descriptive approach. Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic theory is used to analyze the case through its main model, the signifier and the signified. The results showed that the meme represented a student social movement to criticize President Jokowi for the inconsistent words, attitudes and policies issued. This inconsistency is shown, among others, in the case of weakening the KPK, the revision of the UU ITE, repressive actions against demonstrators, and the intercept of a lawsuit against the UU Cipta Kerja.Keywords: BEM UI, Social movement, Instagram, Jokowi.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the representations of infidelity and loyalty, and its effects of the actor of the infidelity and loyalty on the communication of an Islamic family as presented in the soap opera―Catatan Hati Seorang Istri‖. The method used in analyzing the soap opera ―Catatan Hati Seorang Istri‖ was descriptive-qualitative with the approach of semiotic theory by Roland Barthes. In semiotic approach,the message communication process experienced two layers of meaning, namely he first layer (denotation or the illustration of the infidelity and loyalty in the opera soap ―Catatan Hati Seorang Istri‖) and thesecond layer (connotation or the concept of infidelity and loyalty). The research results revealed that there were 86 pictures representing the infidelity, 10 pictures representing the loyalty, and 20 picturesrepresenting the effect of the infidelity actor, and 2 pictures representing the effect of the loyalty actor on the family communication in the islamic perspective as represented in the opera soap ―Catatan HatiSeorang Istri‖. Besides, in the opera soap ―Catatan Hati Seorang Istri‖ semiotically, the signs for lying were used to represent infidelity, while the signs of the shalehah women were used to represent loyalty. Inthe opera soap ―Catatan Hati Seorang Istri‖, infidelity and loyalty effects had significant effects on the communication of islamic families.Keyword: infidelity, loyalty, the soap opera, family communication

Abstract

This research wants to analyze the forms of aggression carried out by netizens on social media in the form of videos, pictures, and memes containing blasphemy bringing the name of God, prophets, and religion, ethnicity, and class related to the blasphemy case committed by Basuki Cahaya Purnama (Ahok). This type of research is descriptive qualitative, the data collection method uses interviews with several netizens and discourse analysis related to content on social media. Based on the results of the research, it was found that there was content in videos, images, and memes that contained aggression directed at Ahok and his supporters and vice versa in the name of religion, ethnicity, and class. Aggressive behavior among netizens is due to the characteristics of social media which allow one to channel emotions safely and instantly because there is no need to meet face to face and eliminate the pressures caused by face to face communication. The most sensitive issues to be used as fuel that is very effective in carrying out aggression on social media are issues related to religion and ethnic and ethnic differences. improve online media literacy skills among netizens who use social media, through formal education and non-formal forums and support from various parties. This research is expected to contribute to minimizing polarization in society due to differences in religion and culture, especially ahead of the 2024 election.

Abstract

Proses kemajuan dalam teknologi komunikasi dan digitalisasi pengiriman ulang telah muncul sebagai dua prinsip dasar yang mendominasi di "era informasi". Kemunculan teknologi digital telah mengubah prosedur pelaporan secara signifikan dengan memungkinkan konversi dan penyebaran berbagai bentuk informasi. Email, forum diskusi online, blog, dan situs jejaring sosial telah menjadi alat yang sangat diperlukan oleh para jurnalis di Internet dalam melaporkan dan menyebarkan berita. Selain itu, media berita juga telah memanfaatkan teknologi haptic, wearable, dan pencitraan digital 3D. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konsep jurnalisme inovasi dan penerapannya pada metodologi pelaporan digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan proses transformasi digital dalam industri media. Jurnalis sering kali mendapatkan keuntungan dari adopsi alat teknologi baru dan canggih karena perubahan signifikan dalam metode pembuatan dan penyebaran berita belakangan ini. Kemajuan teknologi komunikasi dan seluler telah mempercepat evolusi pelaporan. Hal ini menyebabkan munculnya bentuk-bentuk pelaporan baru, seperti jurnalisme inovasi, yang disesuaikan dengan era media baru.

Abstract

Elections play an important role in the democracy. One of the stages of elections is a political campaign. Political campaigns symbolically unite citizens and leaders in a ritual of debate, discussion and dialogue every four years. However, this can only become a popular myth if political campaigns are not carried out in a democratic manner. In Indonesia, limited campaign time forces election participants to plan effective political campaign strategies through the mass media. This research is an analytical descriptive approach that will describe how the objectives of political campaigns can be achieved within the framework of marketing political communication theory, with a review of the 2019 Presidential Election case. Data and information are collected from Kompas.com, an online media during a certain period. In the 2019 election, the campaign period is very limited. Candidate use all available political resources to campaign and win elections. Based on news analysis on Kompas.com during campaign periode, as an incumbent candidate, Joko Widodo used a campaign to market the programs, such as: digital serving programs, the three magic cards program (Indonesia Smart College Card, Cheap Grocery Cards and Pre-Employment Cards) and infrastructure programs. Meanwhile, the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Salahudin Uno candidate also used the campaign to market their programs, they are strengthening government institutions to prevent corruption and programs to improve Indonesia's economy. Candidate Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin sold his dream, namely "Jokowi wins 75%" and “changes for the better”. Meanwhile, the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Salahudin Uno candidate echoes the jargon "Indonesia wins" as his dream. Keywords: Indonesia’s Election; Campaign; Communication; Political Marketing

Abstract

This research aims to explore the dual role of social media algorithms in conflict formation and resolution. Using a systematic literature review method, this research analyses how algorithms can amplify polarization and spread misinformation, as well as their potential to be leveraged in mitigating conflict and promoting constructive dialogue. The results show that algorithms designed to maximise user engagement often contribute to conflict escalation through the formation of "filter bubbles" and the spread of misinformation. However, recent research has also revealed the potential of algorithms, if designed with ethical and social principles in mind, to be instrumental in early conflict detection and the promotion of dialogue across groups. This study highlights the implications of these findings for technology companies, policymakers, and civil society, and emphasises the need for an interdisciplinary approach, proactive regulation, and increased digital literacy in addressing algorithm challenges. In conclusion, social media algorithms are flexible tools, and their impact depends on the values, principles, and goals embedded in their design. A holistic and collaborative approach is needed to harness the potential of algorithms in mitigating conflict while minimising their role in deepening social divisions.

Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the role and credibility of preachers as communicators in conveying the message of da'wah to the converted community in the Karomba Mountain Area Pinrang Regency. This research uses qualitative methods to understand and analyze the role and credibility of preachers in conveying the message of da'wah. data collection techniques are carried out with in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found that the role of preachers in conveying the message of da'wah to the converts, namely preachers as mentors or coaches. preacher as an extension of Islam and preacher as the problem solver. While the credibility of preachers as communicators in conveying the message of da'wah can be seen from communication skills, knowledge related to the values of Islamic religious teachings, attitudes, and socio-cultural systems.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the communication crisis on millennial life and to determine the influence of the communication crisis on human behavior in the Digital Era. A descriptive scientific approach was taken in conducting this research. The goal of a qualitative approach is to investigate, characterize, and understand a phenomenon from a central perspective. In-depth interviews with two key individuals in each business tasked with managing the crisis were used to collect primary data. key informant interviews, observation and documentation. . This analysis technique basically consists of three components, namely: data reduction, data presentation and drawing and testing conclusions. Research results Crisis communication is very important for efficient crisis management because it not only reduces or ends the crisis but also, in many cases, restores the reputation of the organization to the same level. Stephane Koch explains that social media can become an emotional network in times of crisis where facts are conveyed through emoticons, special signals for emotions. Communicating the facts is a priority for some experts, while others who rely on behavioral research note that values and emotions can be key drivers for increasing risk awareness in society and for strengthening preparedness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Kepegawaian (SIMPEG) dan menganalisis usaha yang dilakukan dalam rangka mengoptimalkan penerapan sistem manajemen kepegawaian (SIMPEG) dalam pengelolaan administrasi kepegawaian pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan (LPP) Kelas III Mamuju. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan purposive sampling dalam penentuan informan. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Hubberman. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan sistem informasi manajemen kepegawaian dan usaha yang dilakukan dalam mengoptimalkan pengelolaan administrasi kepegawaian pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan Kelas III Mamuju belum berjalan secara maksimal. Adapun faktor-faktor penghambat penerapan dan usaha mengoptimalkan SIMPEG dalam pengelolaan administrasi kepegawaian selain SIMPEG masih dalam tahap pengembangan dan berdasarkan penerapan selama ini oleh operator kepegawaian secara langsung bahwa Sistem Informasi Manajemen Kepegawaian hanya digunakan dalam menyusun sasaran kinerja pegawai dan penilaian kinerja pegawai, kemudian masih minimnya kesadaran arti pentingnya SIMPEG sebagai pedoman dalam pengembangan karir kepegawaian, minimnya kuantitas SDM dalam pengelolaan data kepegawaian sehingga masih terdapat data PNS yang belum mutakhir; dan jaringan internet yang lemah atau terbatas pada jam-jam tertentu, baik itu karena adanya masa jeda perhitungan tunjangan kinerja pada tanggal tertentu maupun karena faktor letak geografis itu sendiri pada Kantor Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Perempuan Kelas III Mamuju.
