Abstract

Learning Javanese language in puppetry material in elementary schools still faces various problems, including the use of less innovative learning media and the delivery of material that tends to be monotonous, resulting in low student creativity. This study aims to analyze the use of cardboard puppet learning media in improving student creativity in puppetry material for grade II SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects of grade II B students totaling 28 people and grade II B teachers. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation by applying triangulation of techniques and sources to ensure data validity. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the use of cardboard puppet learning media has a positive impact on the puppetry learning process. This media is able to improve student creativity, seen from the courage of students in playing the role of wayang characters, telling stories in their own language, as well as increasing activeness and enthusiasm during learning. In addition, cardboard puppet media helps students understand the material more concretely and creates a pleasant learning atmosphere. Cardboard puppets are also easy to make, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly, making them an effective alternative medium for Javanese language learning in lower elementary school grades.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate how well the cooperative learning model 'Make a Match' enhances students' problem-solving abilities in mathematics. The background for this study is the low competency of students resulting from traditional methods. The methodology employed is quantitative with a One Group Pretest- Posttest design, involving 30 students. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The results indicate an improvement in average scores from 59.67 to 84.50, categorized as a moderate N-Gain. The t-test reveals a significant increase (p = 0.000). These findings suggest that the Make a Match model is effective in improving students' abilities and participation.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ critical thinking skills in solving mathematical word problems, particularly in division material. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the GCompris educational game in improving fourth-grade elementary students' critical thinking skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The subjects were 18 fourth-grade students of SDIT Bina Insani in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The instrument consisted of essay questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using normality tests and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that the mean pretest score of 39.7 increased to 73.3 in the posttest. The hypothesis test indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there was a significant difference before and after the treatment. Thus, the use of the GCompris educational game is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terbatasnya penerapan model pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS di kelas III SDN Bibisluhur 1 Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Maka dari itu penelitian ini mempunyai maksud guna mengidentifikasi pengaruh dari Model Mind Mapping Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Mata Pelajaran IPAS Pada Peserta Didik Kelas III SDN Bibisluhur 1 Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui rancangan riset Quasi Eksperiment Design dengan jenis Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi yang terlibat adalah seluruh murid kelas III di SDN Bibisluhur 1 pada Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025, yang dikelompokkan ke dalam dua kelas, yakni kelas III A serta kelas III B. Metode perolehan data memanfaatkan ujian pilihan ganda (tes awal dan tes akhir), pengamatan atau observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen diuji keabsahannya melalui uji Korelasi Biserial, uji reliabilitas, uji taraf kesukaran, dan uji daya beda. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pengujian normalitas menggunakan Shapiro Wilk, pengujian homogenitas dengan pendekatan Fisher, dan uji hipotesis Independent Sample T-Test. Berdasarkan analisis data dari hasil rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai 86,15, sedangkan hasil rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai 44,23. Pengujian hipotesis dalam studi ini dilakukan menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test dan menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, sehingga Ho ditolak sementara Ha diterima. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari penerapan Model Mind Mapping pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam mata pelajaran IPAS pada peserta didik kelas III SDN Bibisluhur 1 Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Dari hasil perhitungan Cohen’s Effect Size diperoleh nilai sebesar d = 3,15 > 0,8, hasil perhitungan ini menjelaskan bahwa Model Mind Mapping memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam mata pelajaran IPAS pada peserta didik kelas III di SDN Bibisluhur 1 Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

This research is intended to understand the analysis of students' learning styles towards understanding mathematics learning. This research was motivated by students' difficulties in solving mathematics problems, especially in KPK and FPB material. This difficulty is experienced by students when determining the correct KPK and FPB calculation operations, as well as difficulties in operating factor trees. The method used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, grade 5 students at SD N Sambirejo for the 2023/2024 academic year show a variety of learning styles, but the learning style generally applied by teachers is more dominant in the auditory aspect. This trend has an impact on the absorption capacity of diverse students. Students with a visual learning style have good learning absorption, students with an auditory learning style have superior absorption and students with a kinesthetic learning style have mixed and unstable absorption.

Abstract

Student worksheets as one of the learning tools that should be developed by the teacher because textbooks from the government have minimal material. Student worksheets that are integrated with local wisdom can make learning more meaningful. This study aims to describe the results of the preliminary analysis consist of the 2013 curriculum learning process that is implemented in primary school at Banjarsari Surakarta, especially in terms of the needs of student worksheet in the learning process, the steps for making student worksheet based on Surakarta’s local wisdom, and analyzing local wisdom material that will be integrated into making student worksheet. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were teachers and 5th-grade students, amounting to 2 teachers and 10 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validity uses source and method triangulation. Data analysis techniques include reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results obtained are the teachers generally use simple student worksheets and haven’t been linked to local wisdom. The student worksheet format created only consists of work steps and assessments. The steps of making a student worksheet are curriculum analysis and local wisdom to be used, compiling, determining title, and writing. Local wisdom materials that can be integrated include Laweyan batik, Pasar Gede, medicinal plants, and the Javanese community farming system. The implication of this research is to provide meaningful learning resources for students and instill a sense of love for local culture.
