Abstract

Abstract

This article examines the concept of rejecting the Trinity in Islam through the analysis of Surah An-Nisa verse 171, focusing on Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka. The method used in this research is categorized as library research. In the verse, Allah rebukes Ahlul Kitab, especially the Christians, who have exaggerated in glorifying the Prophet Isa Alaihis-Salam to consider him as God. Buya Hamka emphasized that Jesus was only a messenger of Allah and not God, so the teaching of Tawhid must be upheld by Muslims. This explanation includes the prohibition not to associate Allah with anything and the importance of respecting prophets without going beyond the limits. This study shows that the rejection of the Trinity is not only theological, but also an attempt to protect the faith of the people from deviation. Thus, Tafsir Al-Azhar provides a comprehensive understanding of the rejection of the Trinity in Islam and emphasizes the importance of maintaining the oneness of God as the core of religious teachings.

Abstract

The word ālu in the Qur'an indicates the meaning of people who have a close relationship or family (Qarabah). The term ālu is mentioned 31 times in the Qur'an. Each verse contained in various surahs certainly has a different meaning, so it requires in-depth understanding. The disclosure of the meaning of ālu will be analyzed by the author using the Qur'anic semantic approach developed by Toshihiko Izutsu. According to Izutsu, Qur'anic semantics is an attempt to reveal the Qur'anic worldview (weltanschauung) through semantic analysis of key vocabulary or terms in the Qur'an. This research process involves investigating the basic meaning and relational meaning of the word ālu using syntagmatic and paradigmatic analysis.

Abstract

The prank phenomenon has become a rampant trend among the millennial generation, especially in the realm of social media. Pranks are often thought of as a form of entertainment and humor, but in some cases, the practice can have a negative impact, including harming the other party both physically and psychologically. In Islam, there are limits to joking that emphasize honesty, ethics, and not harming others. This research aims to criticize various academic studies that discuss the phenomenon of prank in the perspective of the Qur'an. Pranks as a social phenomenon that develops in the digital era are often studied from various perspectives, including Qur'anic interpretation, hadith, psychology, and Islamic law. Using the library research method, this study evaluates the weaknesses and advantages of previous studies related to prank, especially in terms of methods, sources of interpretation used, and the relevance of the study in the modern social context. The results of the analysis show that most of the previous research is still limited to certain interpretations, lacks consideration of psychological and sociological aspects, and is minimal in discussing legal regulations related to pranks on social media. This study is expected to provide new insights in examining the phenomenon of pranks more comprehensively, taking into account a broader perspective in Islamic studies and social sciences.

Abstract

The concept of justice in the perspective of the quran: a fundamental principle in establishing a harmonious and sustainable social order One of the aspects of justice that receives significant attention in Islam is the protection of orphans' rights. Surah Al-An’am verse 152 emphasizes the importance of managing orphans' wealth fairly and responsibly. This verse asserts that their assets must not be misused and should only be utilized for beneficial purposes until they reach maturity. This study employs a qualitative research method and adopts a library research approach, conducting a critical and in-depth analysis of relevant literature, including books and scholarly journals. The research aims to explore the Quranic perspective on justice in managing orphans' wealth while critically examining social practices in Arab societies that often contradict the principles of justice. By referencing classical and contemporary interpretations, this study seeks to provide a deeper understanding of justice in managing orphans' wealth and its implications for the Islamic social system. Social criticism of practices that deviate from Islamic justice values is expected to serve as a reflection for society in maintaining the trust of orphaned assets and upholding justice in everyday life.

Abstract

Stoicism is a philosophy that emphasizes self-control, acceptance of fate, and the achievement of inner peace, offering a relevant perspective for addressing the quarter-life crisis. Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, a prominent scholar in Islamic tradition, holds views aligned with Stoicism through his teachings on patience and reliance on God. The quarter-life crisis itself is a psychological crisis typically experienced by individuals in their 20s to 30s, characterized by confusion, anxiety, and uncertainty regarding life purpose and the future. This research aims to analyze Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah's thoughts within the framework of Stoicism and how his teachings can serve as a spiritual solution to the quarter-life crisis. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. The primary sources are his works, such as Madarij As-Salikin and Zad al-Ma'ad, alongside Stoicism literature as a comparison. This study finds significant similarities between Stoicism and Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah's thoughts, especially in terms of accepting fate and self-control. The teachings of sabr and tawakkul advocated by Ibn Qayyim prove relevant as practical solutions to help individuals achieve inner peace and emotional stability when facing a quarter-life crisis.
