Abstract

Modern society lives in an environment characterized by increasingly complex cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity due to the influence of globalization. This condition demands that the education system, especially Islamic Religious Education (PAI), adapt so that it does not only emphasize ritual and dogmatic aspects, but also fosters mutual respect, empathy, and tolerance between religious communities. Without a pluralism-based approach, PAI learning has the potential to become rigid and less relevant to the social reality of students. Therefore, it is essential to incorporate pluralistic values, such as respect for differences, compassion, and cooperation, into the learning process from an early age. This principle aligns with QS. Al-Hujurat verse 13 which emphasizes the importance of recognizing and respecting diversity. Teachers play a role as facilitators in creating an inclusive, reflective, and dialogical learning environment, so that the values of pluralism can be internalized naturally in students. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilising case studies at SMPN 46 Bandung and SMPN 2 Cileunyi. The research results show that the internalization of pluralistic values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning occurs systematically, contextually, and effectively through experience-based learning activities, teacher role models, and a supportive school culture. This process successfully shapes students' religious character to be tolerant, inclusive, and virtuous. Therefore, pluralistic character education in PAI is a crucial strategy in preparing a religious generation capable of living harmoniously in a diverse and dynamic society.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji peran media sosial, khususnya Instagram, sebagai agen sosialisasi nilai keislaman dalam praktik berpakaian muslimah di Indonesia. Berangkat dari fenomena berkembangnya tren busana muslim dan hijab di ruang digital, penelitian ini menempatkan Instagram sebagai arena representasi, negosiasi identitas, sekaligus komodifikasi simbol religius. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif melalui studi kasus terhadap akun-akun hijaber populer dan komunitas hijabers, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik berpakaian Islami di Instagram tidak hanya mencerminkan kepatuhan terhadap syariat, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh logika estetika digital, budaya populer, dan industri fesyen. Hasil kajian menunjukkan adanya pergeseran makna busana muslim dari simbol kesalehan menuju identitas religius-modern yang bersifat cair dan performatif. Meskipun Instagram berfungsi efektif sebagai medium dakwah kultural dan edukasi nilai keislaman, platform ini juga berpotensi mendorong perilaku konsumtif dan reduksi makna spiritual. Artikel ini berargumen bahwa praktik berpakaian Islami di media sosial merupakan hasil negosiasi berkelanjutan antara nilai agama, identitas sosial, dan dinamika kapitalisme digital.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan fase transisi yang rentan terhadap kecemasan, stres, dan tekanan psikologis akibat penggunaan media sosial di era digital. Fenomena perbandingan sosial, cyberbullying, dan ekspektasi yang tidak realistis berkontribusi pada penurunan ketahanan mental remaja, termasuk di Desa Gantar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran agama Islam, khususnya psikologi agama Islam dan pendidikan agama Islam kontekstual, dalam membangun ketahanan mental remaja menghadapi kecemasan dan tekanan media sosial. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi kepustakaan yang dipadukan dengan analisis media digital melalui telaah literatur ilmiah dan fenomena penggunaan media sosial di kalangan remaja. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai spiritual seperti sabar, tawakal, syukur, ikhlas, serta praktik ibadah seperti shalat, dzikir, dan muhasabah berfungsi sebagai mekanisme koping yang menenangkan sekaligus memperkuat daya tahan psikologis remaja. Integrasi penguatan spiritual, literasi digital, dukungan keluarga, dan peran kelembagaan keagamaan menjadi strategi penting.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital media and artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed the way people live and interact in modern society. Nevertheless, the human need for religion as a source of moral and spiritual guidance remains unchanged. This study aims to analyze the conceptual framework of the relationship between religion, society, and media in the era of artificial intelligence through a literature review approach. Data were collected from relevant sources, including academic journals, books, and scholarly articles, and analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method.The results indicate that religion functions as a spiritual and moral compass in guiding the ethical use of media and AI technologies, ensuring that technological progress aligns with values of justice, humanity, and the common good. Meanwhile, media and AI serve as instruments for disseminating religious values and spiritual education, while society acts as the primary agent that interprets and implements these teachings in the digital sphere. Thus, religion, society, and media constitute three interrelated pillars of modern civilization that cannot be separated, even as the world continues to evolve.

Abstract

This study analyzes the representation of Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo in the Xpose Uncensored broadcast on Trans7, which sparked controversy among the public and religious institutions. Using framing analysis and the theory of hegemony, this research aims to explore how the media frames pesantren as an object of spectacle and the values produced through such representations. The results show that the broadcast depicted pesantren from a negative and sensationalist perspective, highlighting certain aspects of the life of santri considered unusual. Moreover, the media framing created a dichotomy between "modernity" and "pesantren tradition," implicitly undermining the spiritual values within pesantren. The reactions to this broadcast reflect the resistance of the pesantren community, criticizing and responding to the media framing through various channels, including boycott campaigns and legal interventions. This study contributes to understanding the power dynamics in the representation of religion in mass media and the importance of media literacy and broadcast regulations that are more sensitive to diversity. The practical implications of this research include the need to strengthen regulations that protect religious institutions from media exploitation

Abstract

The development of digital media has transformed da‘wah practices from one-way communication into dialogical and participatory spaces. YouTube, as an audio-visual platform, functions not only as a medium for disseminating religious messages but also as an interactive arena where meaning is socially constructed between preachers and audiences. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of audience comments, forms of participation in digital da‘wah, and their implications for the development of participatory da‘wah theory. Employing an interpretive qualitative approach with a multi-method digital textual analysis design, this research integrates qualitative content analysis, thematic analysis, digital ethnography, and social network analysis (SNA). The dataset consists of 2,907 audience comments collected from ten highly interactive YouTube videos by Ustadz Khalid Basalamah, selected through purposive sampling. The findings reveal four main categories of audience participation: spiritual appreciation and aspiration, fiqh-related inquiries, peer-to-peer dialogue and collaboration, and critical or alternative perspectives. Social network analysis indicates that audience interactions form clustered discursive communities with several central actors functioning as informal opinion leaders. These results demonstrate that digital da‘wah operates as a network-based participatory ecosystem, where audiences act as co-producers of religious meaning. This study contributes theoretically by reinforcing the Participatory Da‘wah Development Community (PDDC) model as a contemporary framework that emphasizes dialogical communication, distributed religious authority, and collective religious learning in the digital era.

Abstract

Tingginya angka perceraian di Kabupaten Banjar, yang sebagian besar dipicu oleh perselisihan dan komunikasi yang buruk, menuntut adanya pendekatan konseling yang lebih mendalam dan berbasis nilai spiritual. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi konseling sufistik berbasis 13 Wasiat Abah Guru Sekumpul yang dilakukan oleh para ulama di Kabupaten Banjar melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para ulama mengintegrasikan trilogi keilmuan (Tauhid, Fiqih, dan Tasawuf) dengan nilai-nilai dalam 13 Wasiat tersebut, seperti berbaik sangka, manis muka, dan memaafkan, sebagai instrumen aktif untuk meredam konflik keluarga. Pendekatan yang digunakan meliputi internalisasi sifat "Tugul" (ketekunan) dan sabar, penggunaan komunikasi adaptif dua arah, serta restrukturisasi kognitif berbasis kemaslahatan keluarga dan proses takhalli (pembersihan diri). Sosok Abah Guru Sekumpul diposisikan sebagai model ideal yang menyelaraskan aspek lahiriah dan batiniah bagi para jemaah.
