Abstract

This study investigated students' perceptions of speaking activities in XI Grade of SMA Negeri 19 Maluku Barat Daya. The data was obtained by a survey conducted from September 23rd to October 25th, 2021. The number of respondents who participated in this study were 33 students who provided information regarding their perception toward English speaking activities they conducted in the classroom. They responded to 15 statements from the questionnaire, which required their perception of speaking activities and types of speaking activities in English class. The study results revealed that the activities carried out in class XI were dominated by group discussions and teacher question and answer (Q &A) sessions. In addition, most respondents consider speaking activity an essential aspect that builds interaction with other people. In general, the respondents asserted that talking in English is fun. From the result of the current study, it is also suggested that there are many aspects that must be taught to students to master speaking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of the group investigation (GI) learning model to improve learning outcomes in the informatics subject for class XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Seluma. This research method is a descriptive quantitative experiment. The design used is a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this research were 31 students in class XI A of SMA Negeri 5 Seluma. The instrument used is 10 posttest questions and 5 pretest questions. The instrument has been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The results of the pretest with an average of 29 were in the very poor category, while the posttest with an average of 84 was very good and the results of student responses using a questionnaire with a validity test with a percentage of agreement or valid. The results of research using the paired sample test showed that the value was Sig.( 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 where t count > t table 12.449 > 2.042 so Ho is rejected Ha is accepted which means the group investigation (GI) learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class XI A students at SMA Negeri 5 Seluma

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is one of the goals of mathematics education. All students must be able to perform this basic skill. However, students of grade VIII of UPTD SMPN 2 Mungka Regency are still considered to have inadequate mathematical problem-solving abilities. This is evidenced by the results of the initial assessment of the mathematical problem-solving abilities of grade VIII students of UPTD SMPN 2 Mungka Regency. The use of the Problem-Based Learning Model is one way to help students become more proficient in solving mathematical puzzles. This study aims to determine whether the use of a problem-based learning approach affects students' abilities in solving mathematical puzzles. With a posttest-only control design, this study used a quasi-experimental methodology. Grade IX students of UPTD SMPN 2 Mungka Regency became the research population, while grades IX/1 and IX/2 became the research samples. Essay questions about mathematical problem-solving abilities were used as a research technique. A P value of 0.001 was obtained from data analysis using the t-test. Because the P value is less than α = 0.05, H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be said that grade IX students of UPTD SMPN 2 Mungka Regency who study using the Problem Based Learning model are more proficient in solving mathematical puzzles than those who study using the Direct Learning model.Keywords– Problem Based Learning, Mathematical Problem-Solving Skills, Direct Instruction

Abstract

One of the learning activities impacted by the transmission of the COVID-19 virus was a listening exercise in a university classroom. Regarding that assertion, listening comprehension requires help from learners' English language components and lecturers' aid. The study's objectives were: 1) to describe the influence of synchronous and asynchronous audio in online learning (Synchronous and Asynchronous in English Education Study Program); 2) to describe students' listening comprehension; and 3) to determine the positive and significant influence of synchronous and asynchronous audio in online learning on student listening comprehension. This study used a quantitative technique using Ex-post Facto research as the design. Purposive sampling was used to choose 32 students from the English Education Study Program in 2018 and 2019. A questionnaire was used to collect data, and the students' listening final grades were evaluated using IBM SPSS 20.0. The findings of this study revealed that: 1) Synchronous and Asynchronous at English Education Study Program was in the medium category, as the highest score was 76; 2) Students' Listening Comprehension was in the "A" category, as the mean score was 82; 3) Synchronous and Asynchronous have a favorable and substantial impact on students' listening comprehension, as evidenced by the coefficient determinant value of 0.267 (26.7%). The findings of this study are intended to be valuable to lecturers, students, and other researchers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang cara mendidik anak dalam keluarga menurut Surah Luqman ayat 13-15, dengan perspektif tafsir Ibnu Katsir. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Studi pustaka dipilih untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai cara mendidik anak dalam keluarga menurut Surah Luqman ayat 13-15. Rumusan masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana cara mendidik anak dalam keluarga menurut Surah Luqman ayat 13-15 perpektif Tafsir Ibnu Katsir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Luqman Al-Hakim mendidik anaknya dengan cara memberikan beberapa nasihat yang sangat bijaksana dengan penuh rasa  cinta dan kasih sayang. Pelajaran pertama yang ia berikan kepada putranya adalah pendidikan tauhid, yang berkenaan dengan aqidah, kemudian Luqman menasihati putranya untuk selalu berbakti kepada kedua orang tua, terutama ibu karena jasanya yang begitu besar kepada seorang anak, dan yang terkahir larangan untuk mengikuti perbuatan syirik walaupun atas perintah dan paksaan dari kedua orang tua, walau begitu seorang anak tetap memiliki kewajiban untuk menjalin hubungan yang baik dengan orang tuanya.

Abstract

Lengkong Kulon, located in Pagedangan District, Tangerang, keeps and preserves their traditions in the midst of modernization that is growing today. Lengkong Kulon itself has the potential to support their economic activities in various Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) engaged in the culinary field by having its own characteristics, namely Arabic culinary specialties such as Kebuli and Ka'ak Cakes as its attractions. However, in the midst of urban progress, developments of MSMEs are very minimal in terms of promotion. This problem can be caused by limited capital, human resources, to poor marketing management, but there are also other problems such as the lack of packaging aesthetics and photos of MSME products which have an impact on promotional activities not going well, so that MSME products are less well known by the public. large. From this problem, the solution provided by our research team is to improve the creative concept of product photography in Lengkong Kulon as a means of developing MSMEs. In order to improve the quality of product photos in Arabic culinary specialties as a characteristic of the village, it is necessary to design a visual product photo that is attractive and creative in each presentation to promotion, and is carried out systematically through three stages, starting from the inspiration stage, ideation stage, and implementation stages. The research team hopes that, through the quality and concept of photos in visual design to better and more attractive promotions, they can introduce and increase the interest of consumers and the wider community that Lengkong Kulon has its characteristics and a variety of interesting MSME product potentials, on the other hand it can also help improving the economy and welfare of the people of Lengkong Kulon.abstract in bahasaDesa Lengkong Kulon yang terletak di Kecamatan Pagedangan, Tangerang menyimpan dan melestarikan tradisi mereka di tengah modernisasi yang semakin berkembang dewasa ini. Desa Lengkong Kulon sendiri memiliki potensi dalam menunjang aktivitas ekonomi mereka pada berbagai UMKM yang bergerak pada bidang kuliner dengan memiliki ciri khas tersendiri yaitu kuliner khas Arab seperti Kebuli dan Kue Ka’ak sebagai daya tariknya. Namun di tengah kemajuan kota, perkembangan UMKM desa sangat minim dari segi promosinya. Masalah ini dapat disebabkan oleh keterbatasan modal, sumber daya manusia, hingga pengelolaan marketing yang buruk, namun terdapat pula masalah lainnya seperti kurangnya estetika kemasan dan foto produk UMKM yang berdampak pada kegiatan promosi tidak berjalan dengan baik, sehingga produk-produk UMKM kurang dikenal oleh masyarakat luas. Dari masalah tersebut, solusi yang diberikan oleh tim peneliti adalah melakukan peningkatan konsep kreatif fotografi produk Desa Lengkong Kulon sebagai sarana pengembangan UMKM. Agar peningkatan kualitas foto produk pada kuliner khas Arab sebagai ciri khas desa tersebut dapat berlangsung dengan baik, maka dilakukan perancangan visual sebuah foto produk yang menarik dan kreatif dalam setiap penyajiannya hingga promosi, serta dilakukan secara sistematis melalui tiga tahapan, dimulai dari tahap insipiration,tahap ideation, dan tahap implementation. Harapan besar tim peneliti, melalui kualitas dan konsep foto dalam perancangan visual hingga promosi yang baik dan lebih menarik, dapat memperkenalkan dan menambah ketertarikan konsumen maupun masyarakat luas bahwa Desa Lengkong Kulon memiliki ciri khas serta beragam potensi produk UMKM yang menarik, disisi lain dapat pula membantu peningkatan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Desa Lengkong Kulon.

Abstract

Increasing levels of air pollution in Jakarta will have serious health impacts for those exposed, such as online motorcycle taxi drivers. Smoking behavior by online motorcycle taxi drivers can also cause health problems in the form of decreased lung function. This research aimed to figure the relationship between duration of exposure to air pollution and smoking behavior to lung function in online motorcycle taxi drivers at Jakarta. This research used a descriptive correlation design with cross-sectional approach which conducted in June-July 2020. There were 106 online motorcycle taxi drivers selected using accidental sampling technique. Lung function measured using the mMRC dyspnoe scale and distributed using google form. The results of this study found that the mostly 97,7% online motorcycle taxi drivers worked > 40 hours/ week, 68,9% online motorcycle taxi drivers categorized of mild smoking, 60,4% online motorcycle taxi drivers had no dyspnea symptoms (grade 0). Statistical analysis using chi-square showed that there is a significant relationship between smoking behavior with lung function (p-value 0,001), however, there is no significant relationship between duration of exposure to air pollution with lung function (p-value 0,056). It’s expected that online motorcycle taxi drivers can use masks while working to reduce exposure to air pollution and lesser to quit smoking.

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan pendidikan adalah mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Kecerdasan sendiri merupakan kemampuan kognitif yang tidak terpisahkan dari aktivitas pikiran manusia, salah satu hal yang membedakan antara manusia dengan makhluk hidup lainnya adalah kecer-dasan yang dimilikinya. Howard gardner mengemukakan manusia mempunyai sembilan kecerdasan, pada penelitian ini akan membahas tentang kecerdasan musikal. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena kemampuan musikalitas merupakan kemampuan bawaan yang melekat pada diri anak dan sudah ada sejak manusia dilahirkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat tes musikal dengan empat indikator seperti menirukan nada, menirukan ritme, menirukan melo-di dan merespon ritme. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan musikalitas siswa terkategorikan cukup musikal (CM) sebanyak 44 siswa (31%), tingkat kemampuan musikalitas siswa terkategorikan musikal (M) sebanyak 74 siswa (53%) dan tingkat kemampuan musikalitas terkategorikan sangat musikal (SM) sebanyak 22 siswa (16%). Dengan demikiran dapat kita simpulkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa sekolah dasar Kanaan Global School di Kota Jakarta terkategorikan Musikal dengan perolehan jumlah sebanyak 74 siswa (53%) dari 140 siswa secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Concern for the environment has become the main concern of organisations that encourage companies to start producing green products that are environmentally friendly because of the environmental pollution and global warming that occur. This research aims to analyse the influence of green brand positioning, green perceived value, and green marketing, through green trust, on green purchase intention for FMCG products. Identifying variables that have the most dominant influence on green trust and green purchase intention. Primary data was used in this research. The sample size is 300 respondents with a minimum purchase intensity of three times in the last six months, who are at least 17 years old and domiciled in Jabodetabek. The data analysis methods used are: validity test, reliability test, R-square test, path coefficient test, indirect effect test (path analysis), predictive relevance test, and goodness of fit model test. The research results show that the variables green brand positioning, green perceived value, and green marketing influence green trust. Green brand positioning, green perceived value, green marketing, and green trust influence green purchase intention. Green trust can mediate the relationship between green brand positioning, green perceived value, and green marketing and green purchase intention among green consumers of FMCG products. Green marketing is the dominant variable that influences the occurrence of green trust, with green trust being the dominant variable influencing green purchase intention

Abstract

Satisfaction refers to the assessment made by customers of the extent to which a product or service meets their needs and expectations. When the product or service cannot meet customer expectations or needs, this is considered a cause of dissatisfaction with the product or service. The level of patient satisfaction has several dimensional aspects consisting of reliability, assurance, tangibility, empathy and responsiveness. This study aims to determine description of the level of satisfaction of patients vsiting clinic pratama Santa Elisabeth Medan. The research is conducted at Santa Elisabeth Clinic Pratama Medan. The population in this study are 100 people. This type of research is descriptive with the data collection method used in the research, namely the accidental sampling technique. The results of the research show that the satisfaction of patients who visited Clinic Pratama Santa Elisabeth Medan is in Very Satisfied category of 34 respondents (34.0%), the Satisfied category of 51 respondents (51.0%), the Dissatisfied category of 10 respondents (10%), No 2 respondents (2%) are satisfied and 3 respondents (3%) are very dissatisfied. The conclusion of this research is that the better the communication provided by health workers with outpatients, the greater the outpatient satisfaction will be. The clinic needs to create a questionnaire on patient satisfaction levels and evaluate them regularly to find out the extent of satisfaction felt by patients after receiving services.
