Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran menulis teks biografi berbasis digital Canva dengan pengujian efektivitas tahap evaluasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa Fase E di SMAN 6 Batanghari. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek yang terlibat dalam uji coba produk terdiri atas 30 siswa di Fase E. Data diperoleh melalui tes awal dan tes akhir, angket respon siswa, serta penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank, perhitungan effect size, dan N-Gain Score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat kelayakan sangat tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 93%. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks biografi siswa secara signifikan (p < 0,001), dengan nilai effect size sebesar r = 0,87 dan N-Gain rata-rata 0,77 (kategori tinggi). Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan media pembelajaran menulis teks biografi berbasis Canva yang dirancang secara visual, sistematis, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa Fase E. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Canva efektif sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran menulis Bahasa Indonesia. Abstract

The use of Indonesian on social media is currently still frequently encountered with language errors, both in posts and user comments. This phenomenon occurs because language use on social media tends to be more casual, fast-paced, and does not always adhere to proper Indonesian language rules. This study aims to analyze the forms of language errors in the use of Indonesian on social media. This study uses a qualitative approach with a language error analysis design in linguistic studies. The research data sources were posts and comments on public social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, accessed between January and February 2026. The research data consisted of words, phrases, and sentences containing language errors. Data collection techniques were carried out through listening and documentation techniques, while data analysis techniques were carried out through the stages of data reduction, data classification, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the language errors found included errors in spelling, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, diction, and the use of ineffective sentences. These errors are generally influenced by the habit of using casual language, the use of abbreviations, and the influence of slang in digital communication. Therefore, public awareness is needed to pay more attention to the use of proper Indonesian on social media.

Abstract

Writing is an important language skill to develop in Indonesian language learning, particularly in writing narrative texts. However, many students still experience difficulties in finding ideas, developing storylines, choosing appropriate vocabulary, and constructing sentences effectively. Therefore, appropriate learning strategies are needed to improve narrative writing skills. This study aims to identify, analyze, and describe various effective learning strategies in improving narrative writing skills in Indonesian language learning. The study used a qualitative method with a literature review approach. Research data were obtained from scientific articles accessed through Google Scholar with the help of the or Perish application. The articles analyzed were published in the period 2020–2026 and selected based on their relevance to the research topic. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation studies and literature studies, while data analysis used content analysis. The research results indicate that various learning strategies are effective in improving narrative writing skills, including brainstorming techniques, expository strategies, Direct Writing Activities, the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach, fun learning, Project-Based Learning (PjBL), digital literacy, the use of animated video media, local wisdom-based learning, and the Genre-Based approach. These strategies have been proven to improve students’ ability to develop ideas, structure storylines, enhance creativity, learning motivation, and improve the quality of narrative writing. The implications of this research indicate that selecting varied, innovative learning strategies that are appropriate to student characteristics can optimally support the development of narrative writing skills in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of the marginalization of the Indonesian language in the digital public sphere and its implications for the sustainability of national identity. Amid the tide of globalization and technological advancements, the use of foreign languages and mixed languages is increasingly dominating communication on social media, potentially displacing the Indonesian language’s role as a symbol of national identity. This study employs a netnographic method, which allows for the observation of natural and contextual language interactions on digital platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. This approach was chosen because it captures authentic language practices as well as the social meanings behind language use within online communities. The results indicate that the marginalization of Indonesian in the digital public sphere is marked by high levels of foreign language use, code-mixing, and a shift in language preferences among the younger generation influenced by factors such as prestige, globalization, and popular culture. This phenomenon not only impacts linguistic aspects but also implies a weakening of national identity as a nation founded on a unifying language. Nevertheless, the digital public sphere also has the potential to serve as a means of strengthening identity if Indonesian is used consistently and adaptively. Therefore, strategic efforts are needed through language policy, education, and digital literacy to ensure the continued vitality of the Indonesian language. This study is expected to make theoretical and practical contributions to the development of sociolinguistic research and the strengthening of national identity in the digital age.

Abstract

The phenomenon of myths and traditional beliefs in Indonesian society often serves as a source of inspiration in literary works, particularly through the combination of magical elements and real-life realities. This study aims to describe the forms of magical realism in the short story Di Tubuh Tarra, dalam Rahim Pohon by Faisal Oddang based on Wendy B. Faris’s theory of magical realism. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with an objective approach. The data source was the short story Di Tubuh Tarra, dalam Rahim Pohon published in Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2014. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques, while the data analysis was conducted by identifying, classifying, and interpreting the data based on Wendy B. Faris’s five characteristics of magical realism, namely irreducible element, phenomenal world, unsettling doubts, merging realms, and disruptions of time, space, and identity. The findings reveal that all five characteristics of magical realism are present in the short story. Magical elements appear through the consciousness of characters after death, the depiction of the Torajan passiliran tradition, and the merging of the human and spiritual worlds. This study shows that magical realism in the short story functions as a representation of the traditions, myths, and belief systems of the Torajan people.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis paragraf menjadi salah satu kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Akan tetapi, proses pembelajaran menulis masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan, seperti kesulitan siswa dalam mengembangkan ide, menyusun gagasan secara runtut, dan rendahnya minat terhadap aktivitas menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas metode mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf berdasarkan berbagai penelitian terdahulu. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan artikel penelitian yang relevan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui Google Scholar dan beberapa sumber ilmiah lainnya dengan mempertimbangkan kesesuaian topik, tahun terbit, dan relevansi penelitian. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa metode mind mapping mampu membantu siswa menyusun dan menghubungkan ide secara visual sehingga proses pengembangan gagasan menjadi lebih terarah. Selain itu, metode ini juga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kreativitas, motivasi belajar, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Walaupun demikian, penerapan mind mapping membutuhkan pendampingan guru serta waktu yang lebih panjang dalam proses penyusunan peta pikiran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, metode mind mapping dapat dipahami sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paragraf siswa.
