Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in building quality human resources. An effective and efficient education management system is needed in accordance with the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM). This study aims to analyze the integration of the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles with the results of Madrasah Self Evaluation (EDM) assessment as a strategy to realize quality education. This research uses a qualitative method that takes data from a literature review of recent scientific articles related to the principles of TQM and the implementation of EDM. The results show that TQM principles-customer satisfaction, comprehensive involvement, and continuous improvement-can be effectively operationalized through data-based EDM applications. Although the integration of TQM principles with data-based technology such as EDM has not been widely explored empirically in madrasahs, data-based management is considered necessary to be the main foundation of TQM implementation in the madrasah environment. As EDM is one of the tools to support TQM in education, this research seeks to explore the relationship in the context of educational evaluation. The results of this study are expected to make a theoretical contribution to education management.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengenalan bentuk geometri melalui puzzle geometri pada anak kelompok B KB Cahaya Desa Tanah Datar Kecamatan Muara Badak Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilakukan 2 siklus dengan 2 kali tindakan. Pada setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini bersifat kolaboratif antara peneliti dan observer, metode pengumpulan data meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri di kumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil temuan awal bahwa kemampuan anak mengenal bentuk geometri masih rendah. Pada penelitian prasiklus sesuai data yang sudah ada sebelum menerapkan kegiatan diperoleh hasil 17,8% dengan kriteria belum berkembang (BB), kemudian dilakukan tindakan diperoleh hasil pada siklus I dalam 2 kali pertemuan dengan persentase 38,7% dengan kriteria mulai berkembang (MB) dan belum memperoleh hasil yang maksimal, sehingga penelitian dilanjutkan pada siklus ke II dalam 2 kali pertemuan memperoleh hasil dengan persentase 81% berada pada kriteria berkembang sangat baik (BSB) dan telah mencapai kriteria yang ditetapkan oleh nilai ketuntasan di sekolah. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa media puzzle geometri dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri pada kelompok B KB Cahaya desa Tanah Datar kecamatan Muara Badak kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara.

Abstract

The role of educational resource management in improving the quality of education at Tahfidz Al-Quds Samarinda Kindergarten, focusing on three main aspects: human resource management, facilities and infrastructure, and financing. These three aspects are important foundations in supporting the achievement of the Al-Qur'an memorization program at the PAUD level. The approach used is qualitative descriptive with a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and parents of students, as well as curriculum documentation and school reports. The results of the study indicate that human resource management is carried out selectively with ongoing training, facilities and infrastructure sufficiently support tahfidz and Montessori learning, despite limited open space, and financing management is carried out transparently and accountably. These three aspects have been proven to contribute positively to improving the quality of education, such as student memorization, Islamic character, and learning independence. The novelty of this study provides an integrative picture of the importance of structured resource management in supporting the quality of early childhood Islamic education, as well as being an example of good practice for similar PAUD institutions.

Abstract

The role of transformational leadership in building teacher team synergy as a strategy towards a superior madrasah at MTs Al Mujahidin 2 Samarinda. Leadership in this madrasah is interesting because of the collective efforts to create a collaborative culture amidst the challenges of educational change and increasing demands for quality. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, involving the madrasah principal and teachers as key informants through interviews, observations, and documentation. The madrasah principal consistently applies the four dimensions of transformational leadership: ideal influence, motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention. Strategies such as regular forums, teacher involvement in decision making, and internal training are key to building solid team synergy. Challenges in administrative burdens and resistance to change, the madrasah principal is able to manage obstacles through an adaptive and relational approach. Transformational leadership not only increases individual motivation and performance, but is also able to engineer a collaborative, reflective, and progressive organizational culture. The novelty of this study lies in the application of transformational leadership in a madrasah based on Islamic values ​​and this leadership style forms teacher synergy as the main foundation towards a superior madrasah.

Abstract

Utilization of digital technology by teachers as part of efforts to ensure the quality of education at SMP Negeri 39 Samarinda. The background of this study is the challenges in implementing digital transformation in schools, especially in integrating technology into quality teaching practices. A qualitative case study approach was used, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving teachers, school leaders, and internal policy documents. The results of the study indicate that teachers have adopted various digital platforms such as Google Classroom, Quizizz, and Google Forms in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. This utilization has increased student participation, accelerated the learning assessment process, and supported transparency in the delivery of learning. In addition, Islamic values ​​have been successfully integrated into digital media as part of character education. However, this study also identified several challenges, including limited infrastructure, varying levels of digital literacy among teachers, and the absence of detailed technical regulations. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of the digital pedagogy approach with the instillation of religious values ​​within the framework of the school's internal quality assurance system. This study offers theoretical insights and practical recommendations for policy development and teacher training to strengthen holistic and sustainable digital transformation in education.

Abstract

The research aims to learn, solve, and repair the student learning evaluation assessment in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Samarinda through conflict management. The research only focuses on the headmaster, representative of headmaster for curriculum, and teacher. This research used qualitative research by using descriptive approach. Data collection technique used observation and interview. Data analysed by using conflict management theory and other supporting theories. The results show the headmaster and the representative of headmaster said the whole of learning activities in the school run well. But, the conflict occurred from the teacher. The teacher said only a few teachers know how to give students learning evaluation assessment by using methods, not only predicting the score of each student directly and randomly that can be called as shoot or pulley the score without having the steps of learning evaluation. The conclusion, there is a lack of the role of headmaster and representative of headmaster for curriculum to observe and give the guidance to the teacher to do evident and clear learning evaluation for students’ assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in building a culture of quality education during the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era at SMP Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda. In the context of global transformations demanding innovative and adaptive education systems, schools are required to deliver services that prioritize continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis of the school's quality management policies and practices. The findings indicate that the implementation of TQM at SMP Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda includes strategic efforts such as improving the quality of teaching and administrative staff, optimizing academic and non-academic services, integrating technology into teaching and administration, and strengthening communication with parents. The success of TQM implementation is supported by visionary leadership, a sustainable performance evaluation system, and reward mechanisms that enhance staff motivation. The resulting quality culture has had a positive impact on student achievement, graduate competence, and overall parental satisfaction. Nonetheless, challenges include intergenerational differences among teachers, a lack of alignment between foundation policies and school operational strategies, and difficulties in maintaining teaching quality due to sudden staff turnover. The study concludes that TQM is effective in fostering a sustainable quality culture in the era of the industrial revolution, if it is supported by synergy across school components and responsive policy frameworks.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan aset penting bagi kemajuan sebuah bangsa, oleh karena itu setiap warga negara harus dan wajib mengikuti jenjang pendidikan, baik jenjang pendidikan anak usia dini, pendidikan dasar, pendidikan menengah maupun tinggi. Dalam hal pendidikan, seorang anak memerlukan pelayanan yang tepat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan pendidikan disertai dengan pemahaman mengenai karakteristik anak sesuai pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya. Hal tersebut akan sangat membantu dalam menyesuaikan proses belajar bagi anak dengan usia, kebutuhan dan kondisi masing-masing. Pendidikan seharusnya diberikan kepada anak usia dini, sehingga mereka dapat mengenali lingkungannya dengan cepat. Memberikan pendidikan anak pada usia dini diharapkan dapat mempersiapkan anak dalam menghadapi masa-masa yang akan datang. Dalam memberikan pendidikan anak pada usia dini tidak semata-mata turun tangan dari orang tua saja, namun juga dari lingkungan, masyarakat, maupun sekolah formal seperti didirikannya PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) dan TK (Taman Kanak-kanak). Di era globalisasi ini negara kita harus mampu melahirkan generasi cendekia yang mampu bersaing di dunia. Untuk dapat bersaing di taraf internasional kita harus dapat berkomunikasi secara internasional pula. Dengan adanya pembelajaran bahasa asing diharapkan mampu memupuk benih-benih generasi pendongkrak dunia. Di kota-kota besar di Indonesia telah banyak berdiri sekolah formal dalam hal pengembangan pendidikan anak pada usia dini. Sehingga mutu dan kualitas anak di kota besar sudah bagus. Namun lain hal dengan daerah yang jauh dari perkotaan, banyak sekolah yang belum dapat memberikan kualitas peendidikan dari segi berbahasa asing. Dengan akses menuju daerah perkotaan yang sulit, hal itu menjadi salah satu penghambat kemajuan pendidikan. Seperti di daerah Samarinda Seberang. Daerah ini adalah daerah yang memliki jarak jauh untuk akses ke kota, sehingga rata-rata anak hanya mendapatkan fasilitas Pendidikan dari sekolah saja. Setelah selesai sekolah kegiatan anak-anak hanya bermain, dan tidak ada kegiatan les tambahan lainnya. Melihat kondisi tersebut, anggota tim PKM dari fakultas Tarbiyah Jurusan TBI IAIN Samarinda merumuskan kegiatan PKM dengan tema “English Course For Kids” .

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan kinerja guru terhadap capaian pembelajaran di Taman Kanak-Kanak Islam Kota Bontang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 206 responden yang berasal dari 28 Taman Kanak-Kanak Islam di Kota Bontang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling dengan rumus Slovin didapatkan sampel sebanyak 136 responden. Uji prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heteroskedastisitas. Kemudian uji hipotesis penelitian ini menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda melalui aplikasi SPSS 24.00 untuk memastikan analisa hubungan antar variabel-variabel yang diteliti secara statistik. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang kuat sebesar 55 % pada kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap capaian pembelajaran. Untuk kinerja guru terhadap capaian pembelajaran berpengaruh sedang sebesar 43,4 %. Kemudian Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan kinerja guru secara bersama-sama berpengaruh kuat sebesar 61,5 % terhadap capaian pembelajaran dengan nilai F hitung 106.210 lebih besar dari F tabel 3.06 dan signifikansi 0.000. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan sangat diperlukan sinergi, dorongan dan kekuatan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kinerja guru terhadap capaian pembelajaran. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pengembangan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang efektif dan kinerja guru yang berkualitas jika secara bersama-sama lebih tinggi pengaruhnya dalam meningkatkan capaian pembelajaran di Taman Kanak-Kanak Islam Kota Bontang.
