Abstract

According to the Job Demand-Resource Theory, job demands, job resources, and personal resources significantly influence employee performance through work engagement (Bakker & Demerouti, 2017). Furthermore, performance is also affected by demands and resources originating from the family context (Brummelhuis & Bakker, 2012). This study aims to examine the impact of job demands, job resources, and family demands on work engagement, with self-efficacy as a moderating variable. The research was conducted at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) across various districts/cities in North Sumatra Province, using a sample of 309 employees. The sampling technique employed was systematic random sampling, and the data analysis method used was Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study's findings show that both job resources and self-efficacy significantly and positively impact work engagement. This suggests that increases in job resources and self-efficacy are associated with enhanced work engagement. Conversely, job demands and family demands did not significantly affect work engagement. Additionally, the findings reveal that self-efficacy does not significantly moderate the relationship between job demands, job resources, family demands, and work engagement.

Abstract

This study investigates the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) within the Muslim community in Denmark, focusing on digital engagement and its impact on religious and community activities. The study aims to understand how perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, self-efficacy, attitude, and behavioural intention influence the acceptance of digital platforms among Muslim users. Using a structured questionnaire and analysing responses with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS, the study identifies significant predictors of technology acceptance and their interrelationships in the context of digital Islam. The results demonstrate that all hypotheses are supported, indicating a strong influence of perceived ease of use and self-efficacy on both attitude towards technology and its perceived usefulness. This study contributes to the broader discourse on digital Islam, offering insights into how digital tools can enhance religious and social interactions within Muslim communities. The findings provide practical implications for designing culturally sensitive digital solutions tailored to the needs of the Muslim community in Denmark, with a unique unit analysis that provides readers with new knowledge in this field.

Design/methodology/approach: The approach used in this research is quantitative. The sample used in this research was construction company “X” employees, totaling 159 respondents. Research data was obtained by filling out a questionnaire and analyzed using SEM analysis techniques with the help of the SEM PLS program. Research Findings: The results of this research show that (1) Work-life balance has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention; the higher the work-life balance, the lower the turnover intention, and vice versa, the lower the work-life balance, the higher the turnover intention; (2) Career development has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, the higher the career development, the lower the turnover intention, and vice versa, the lower the career development, the higher the turnover intention; (3) Agile leadership does not moderate the influence of work-life balance on turnover intention. Whether in companies with good or bad agile leadership, there is the same influence between work-life balance and turnover intention. (4) Agile leadership does not moderate the influence of career development on turnover intention. Whether in companies with good or bad agile leadership, career development and turnover intention have the same influence. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: These findings provide valuable insights for organizational leaders and human resource professionals, empowering them to implement strategies that enhance work-life balance, foster career development, and mitigate turnover intention.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to uncover the effect of organizational justice (procedural justice, distributive justice, and interactional justice) on the work motivation of BAPENDA employees in Banten and Central Java Provinces. The data were collected using a survey with a purposive sampling technique. The sample size of the study was 587 persons, which involved 200 civil servants at Central Java Province BAPENDA and 387 civil servants at Banten Province BAPENDA. The data were analyzed using multigroup Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study showed that organizational justice (distributive, procedural, and interactional justices) can explain and predict the work motivation in the cultural group background of Banten and Central Java. The involvement of the two different cultural groups in this study indicated that the analysis supports the high model fit. In other words, the psychometric properties of the model measurements was not disturbed by the group presence, aka disturbed by the deceptive response.

Abstract

Marketers often apply the strategy of scarcity promotion to attract consumer attention to the company’s product. However, this strategy often increases consumer’s destructive, aggressive behaviors. A quantitative approach using the experimental method was thus conducted in this study to reveal the effect of advertisement exposure with scarcity promotion strategy on aggressive consumer response towards the product that the company offered. The results show that advertisements with a scarcity strategy expose one’s perception that other consumers are perceived as threats. This perception arises since the probability of getting the product they want will be decreased when others are running after the same product. Theoretically, this condition will elevate the tendency of aggressive consumer behavior when attaining the product. Three studies with multiple behavioral measurements conducted on STIE YKPN students show destructive responses to the scarcity promotion applied by the company

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the antecedents of loyalty and the role of technology in the Indonesian e-commerce context based on customers' points of view. This quantitative research involves data from 317 Indonesian e-commerce customers, which is then analysed using Structural Equation Modelling with Partial Least Square method (SEM-PLS). The results show customer satisfaction, trust, and engagement significantly impact loyalty. Both Trust and Engagement act as the mediator between Satisfaction and Loyalty. Meanwhile, there are differences in how technology interacts with the equation. While it lessens the influence of Engagement on Loyalty, it will increase the influence of Trust on Loyalty. This research simultaneously adds technology into the model to test its influence on the interaction between variables. It also provides CRM research, which is conducted based on customers' points of view.
