Abstract

This study was conducted to determine whether preschoolers' intellectual maturity affects the learning outcomes of physical education and health using a thematic learning method. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experiment, where the experimental group was given a thematic learning approach, while the control group was given a conventional learning approach. The sample used in this study consisted of 60 students, and a written test was used as the instrument at the end of the learning process. Analysis was conducted using a two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a 2x2 factorial design. The results showed that the p-value for student maturity was 0.509, which is greater than the error rate of α (0.05), indicating that there is no difference in the influence of preschoolers' intellectual maturity on the learning outcomes of physical education and health. Meanwhile, the significance value of p (learning method) was 0.016, which is less than the error rate of α (0.05), indicating that there is an influence of the thematic learning approach on the learning outcomes of physical education and health. From these findings, it can be concluded that (a) there is no difference in the learning outcomes of physical education and health between students who are intellectually mature and those who are not, (b) there is a difference in the learning outcomes of physical education and health between students who are given a thematic learning approach and those who are given a conventional learning approach, and (c) there is an influence of preschoolers' intellectual maturity with the thematic learning method on the learning outcomes of physical education and health.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berupa pelatihan Microsoft Office ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan media komputer dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar dan administrasi pendidikan yang ada di PIAUD, TK dan SD. PkM ini berupaya menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terjadi pada mitra pengabdian terkait tugas administrasi guru yang relatif banyak dan menyita banyak waktu tenaga pengajar. Sehingga waktu guru hanya terfokus untuk mengajar dan menyelesaikan tugas administrasi tersebut. Dengan penguasaan terhadap aplikasi Microsoft diharapkan kegiatan pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna dan sumber belajar menjadi multikonten, lalu masalah administrasi pendidikan juga lebih cepat terselesaikan. Peserta pengabdian ini terdiri dari guru PIAUD, TK dan SD yang ada di Desa Loa Kulu Kota. Ada berbagai metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pelatihan Microsoft Office ini. Metode tersebut adalah demonstrasi, pendampingan, dan diskusi. Ada empat materi yang diberikan dalam pelatihan Microsoft Office, yaitu Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excell dan Microsoft Power Point. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam penguasaan ketiga materi tersebut oleh peserta pelatihan. Hal ini terlihat dari antusias yang tinggi dalam setiap tahapan pelaksanaan pelatihan.

Abstract

Kenaikan harga pakan ternak telah menyulitkan rumah tangga petani dalam memberi makan ternak mereka. Kenaikan harga pakan juga mendorong petani pakan untuk beralih ke jagung karena jagung merupakan bahan baku pakan ternak. Sehingga, pada akhirnya petani rumah tangga juga kesulitan membeli jagung. Maggot BSF merupakan alternatif pakan yang kaya protein untuk merangsang pertumbuhan ternak. Maggot BSF adalah larva yang dapat digunakan sebagai pakan alternatif. Budidaya Maggot BSF juga relatif mudah dan dapat memanfaatkan sampah rumah tangga atau sisa makanan sebagai pakan Maggot BSF. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, pelatihan Maggot BSF sebagai alternatif pakan ternak dilakukan di Kelurahan Sambutan Samarinda. Metode pelaksanaannya dilakukan melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya keinginan peserta untuk membudidayakan Maggot BSF sebagai pakan ternak. Peserta menunjukkan respons yang sangat positif terhadap kegiatan ini, yang terbukti dari partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam kegiatan mulai dari awal hingga akhir, serta jumlah peserta yang aktif dalam diskusi dan sesi tanya jawab yang besar. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan budidaya Maggot BSF di Kelurahan Sambutan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan sikap peserta tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sampah untuk budidaya larva BSF sebagai alternatif pakan ternak.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat Kecamatan Muara Muntai melalui tradisi menganyam yang berbasis pada nilai-nilai spiritual zikir dalam rangkaian adat penguburan warga. Program ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menganyam masyarakat, memperkenalkan integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam tradisi budaya. Pelatihan keterampilan menganyam yang disertai dengan pemahaman nilai-nilai agama dan budaya bertujuan untuk memperkuat ikatan sosial di antara masyarakat, serta melestarikan tradisi budaya lokal. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pentingnya menjaga dan melestarikan tradisi budaya yang memiliki dimensi spiritual. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk memperkuat solidaritas sosial di masyarakat. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan dampak positif dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi, pelestarian budaya, dan peningkatan kualitas spiritual masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This research investigates the practice of integrating knowledge, science, and religion in early childhood education, specifically at the 'Berkah Amanah' Private Calistung Tutoring Center. In light of the prevailing tendency to separate science and religious education, this study seeks to explore how these two domains are harmoniously integrated in the teaching of reading, writing, and arithmetic (calistung). Employing a qualitative case study approach, this research employs observation, interviews, and document analysis to uncover two primary practices that facilitate this integration. Firstly, a visual-thematic learning method is employed, which combines cognitive science principles with religious content. Second, the cultivation of learning etiquette (adab) serves as a foundational element for cognitive readiness. Through an analysis using Ian G. Barbour's typology, it is evident that the practices at this institution align with the Dialogue and Integration models. This suggests that the unification of science and religion can be effectively implemented within the context of primary education. This study explores the practice of integrating science, knowledge, and religion in early childhood education, by taking a case study at Berkah Amanah Private Tutoring Center. Amidst the tendency of dichotomy between science and religion education, this study aims to identify how the two domains are synthesized in learning to read, write, and count (calistung). This study uses a qualitative case study approach, involving observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results show that integration is realized through two main practices: (1) a visual-thematic learning method that combines cognitive science principles with religious content, and (2) instilling learning etiquette as a foundation for cognitive readiness. Analysis using Ian G. Barbour's typology shows that the practice at this institution represents the Dialogue and Integration model, proving that the integration of science and religion can be implemented effectively in the context of elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims do provide plantation vocation education facilities in accordance with the needs of the plantation labor market for several years to come.This was a quantitative study analyzing secondary data and setting the plantation vocation education needs by first making a projection of the population comprising the age group of 16-18 years in East Kalimantan Province.The research conclusions show: East Kalimantan Province need plantation vocation Education. The projection of plantation workers in East Kalimantan Province for 5 years to come from 2015 to 2019 on the whole experiences an increase in the needs for plantation workers continuously. In relation to the results of the projection for plantation workers in East Kalimantan Province for 5 years to come, the needs for vocational education in plantation in the province increase continuously.

Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan ilmu eksak menjadi sorotan yang cukup diperhatikan, terutama di sekolah-sekolah, karena ia membutuhkan tingkat kelemahaman tersendiri untuk memahaminya. Salah satu faktor yang melatarbelakangi hal itu adalah perbedaan daya tangkap otak anak dalam mengolah ilmu-ilmu tersebut. Ilmu eksak merupakan salah satu disiplin keilmuan yang mengandalkan kemampuan otak kiri dalam memahaminya, maka dibutuhkan kemampuan otak kiri yang tinggi (dominan). Sehingga, mereka yang mempunyai dominasi otak kanan ketimbang otak kirinya dalam daya tangkap otak, sering kali mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami pelajaran-pelajaran eksak, terutama matematika. This study delves into the philosophical underpinnings of constructivism within the realm of student management. Constructivism, a pedagogical approach rooted in the belief that learners actively construct knowledge through their experiences, interactions, and reflections, has gained prominence in educational discourse. This research aims to critically examine how the principles of constructivism shape and influence the management of students in educational settings. The investigation employs a philosophical lens to scrutinize the core tenets of constructivism, exploring its implications for the design and implementation of effective student management strategies. By synthesizing educational philosophy and practical management methodologies, this study seeks to provide insights into how educators can leverage constructivist principles to enhance the overall learning experience for students. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis, the research aims to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on the integration of philosophical perspectives into educational practices. Abstract

The Implementation of Islamic Social Etiquette in the Philosophy of Educational Management is the focal point of investigation within the context of Madrasah Trubus Iman in Padang Pangrapat, Tanah Grogot. This research aims to delve into and analyze how the application of Islamic social etiquette values within the framework of the philosophy of educational management can shape students' characters. The research method employed is qualitative research. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis related to educational management in Madrasah Trubus Iman. The research findings indicate that Madrasah Trubus Iman has effectively implemented an educational management approach based on Islamic social etiquette. In the context of integrating Islamic values, such as covering one's aura, avoiding illicit sexual relations, prohibiting unmarried couples from being alone, performing prayers, speaking politely, being obedient to parents, forbidding smoking among adolescents, and greeting fellow Muslims. The positive implications of implementing Islamic social etiquette are not only limited to the aspect of students' character but are also evident in the improvement of the learning atmosphere and interpersonal relationships between students and teachers. Mutual respect and care become crucial points in creating an educational environment that supports holistic student growth. Overall, this research contributes to our understanding of how Islamic social etiquette can be integrated with the philosophy of educational management to create quality Islamic education.

Abstract

This research aims to elucidate and critically assess the application of principles outlined in the Philosophy of Science as a foundational framework to enhance the efficacy of educational management at Madrasah Aliyah Fathur Rahman Batu Sopang. Positioned as a comprehensive paradigm, the Philosophy of Science serves as a guiding compass and philosophical underpinning for educational development within the confines of the mentioned madrasa. Utilizing a qualitative research approach with a case study design, the study employs in-depth interviews, observational techniques, and document analysis as principal methods of data collection. The findings reveal how the intrinsic principles of the Philosophy of Science, including objectivity, the scientific method, and the nexus between knowledge and reality, are assimilated and operationalized across diverse facets of educational management within Madrasah Aliyah Fathur Rahman. The analytical framework also examines responses and the consequential impact of applying these principles on overall educational management effectiveness, encompassing leadership dynamics, decision-making processes, and enhancements in pedagogical quality and the learning environment. The application of the philosophy of science and the principles of Islamic education creates a robust foundation for the development of a holistic and effective educational system. Implementing the philosophy of science, with a focus on objectivity, scientific methods, and the interconnectedness between knowledge and reality, provides a profound philosophical basis for the learning process. These principles align with Islamic values that emphasize the importance of knowledge, justice, and the harmony between reason and revelation. Through the integration of the philosophy of science in Islamic education, the learning process can become more rational, purposeful, and responsive to the spiritual and intellectual needs of students. Thus, the application of the philosophy of science can assist in formulating teaching methods and managing Islamic education that is not only based on faith but also utilizes scientific principles to achieve a deeper and sustainable understanding.
