Abstract

The development of goods delivery services could be seen from the growth of service companies’ quantity domestically and abroad. People could determine which delivery services they will use based on their will and the service quality. Freight forwarding companies often experience difficulty in retaining delivery services’ loyal customers. The purpose of the study is to analyze the influence of satisfaction, service quality, and customer’s services on customer’s loyalty of the freight forwarder company. The research technique used the Quantitative approach that the survey data was collected and processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method of AMOS 22 software. This research used 200 purposive sampling of the company’s customers as respondents. The results show that there is direct and indirect influence of customer’s satisfaction, service quality, and customer’s service on customer’s loyalty. Therefore, the role of service quality and customer’s satisfaction has a significant impact on the business continuity of freight forwarding service companies. It means that the freight forwarding company should maintain the customer’s loyalty optimally by increasing customer’s satisfaction through the quality of service provided to customers in order to build the customer’s loyalty.

Abstract

The main problem of the study is related to transportation of goods that cannot be separated from the risks of the goods and the field condition. Based on the previous observation, there were five risk’s categories of biodiesel fuel transportation; force majeure risk, risk of equipment or transportation mode of distribution pipe, risk of equipment or tanker transportation mode, workforce risk, and system and procedural risk. The purpose of the research is to analyze the risk identification, the risk assessment and the risk control of biodiesel fuel transportation from PT XYZ in South Kalimantan to Pertamina Wayame Ambon Maluku. The research method used the risk assessment with Likert scale. The research found that there are three types of risks with the same average score (risk of equipment or transportation mode of distribution pipe, risk of equipment or tanker transportation mode, and workforce risk) and four types of risks that have cost greatest impact of the medium category (force majeure risk, risk of equipment or transportation mode of distribution pipe, risk of equipment or tanker transportation mode, workforce risk).

Abstract

This study was conducted along with the increasing number of air passengers at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport so that it must be supported by optimal services and still ensure flight safety and security. This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality, service quality, and service facilities on passenger satisfaction at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, especially on baggage services. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data is obtained through questionnaires distributed to 150 passengers at Soekarno Hatta Airport. Data analysis was carried out with validity tests, reliability tests and hypothesis tests to test the effect of product quality, service quality, and service facilities on passenger satisfaction. The results of the study showed that the three variables, namely product quality, service quality, and service facilities, significantly have a positive effect on passenger satisfaction. Of the three variables, service quality has the most dominant effect on passenger satisfaction in baggage services. These findings indicate that improvements in aspects of service quality, such as speed, security, and complaint handling, are needed to improve passenger satisfaction. The practical implications of this study confirm that the management of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport needs to focus on improving the quality of service and management of baggage service facilities to improve overall passenger satisfaction. Improving product quality should also not be ignored, because passengers demand security and comfort in using baggage services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of variables within the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) on behavioral intention and actual use of Onshore Power Supply (OPS) in Java Island ports, Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative approach with seven constructs: Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Risk, Subjective Norm, Attitude Toward Using OPS, Behavioral Intention to Use OPS, and Actual System Use of OPS. The novelty of this research lies in the application of a combined TAM and TPB model to analyze OPS adoption in ports as a strategic step to support environmental sustainability and operational efficiency. Data collection involved a Likert-scale (1-5) questionnaire distributed to 240 OPS users across various ports on Java Island and interviewed with 10 informants from both operators and users. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with PLS version 4.0.9.6. The results of testing 14 hypotheses show that all variables have a positive and significant influence on behavioral intention and actual use of OPS, with Subjective Norm being the most significant contributor to Attitude Toward Using OPS (coefficient value of 0.378). The study also revealed that the lowest-rated indicators were related to the perceived ease of approval processes for OPS construction (Perceived Ease of Use), user comfort (Perceived Usefulness), and perceived risks of equipment damage (Perceived Risk). To address these issues, strategic steps such as digitizing licensing processes, automating OPS systems, and implementing international safety standards are recommended. The proposed policy implications involve the government providing incentives for environmentally friendly technologies and enabling regulations to strengthen the adoption of OPS in national ports. This research significantly contributes to the development of policies and operational strategies that support the transition of ports in Indonesia toward more sustainable and environmentally efficient practices.

Abstract

The Straits of Malacca and Singapore are the second busiest routes in the world that are used as international navigation routes that have the potential to be contaminated by cross-border oil spills. Various international legal instruments such as MARPOL 73/78 Annex I to VI regulate the prevention, reduction and control of pollution at sea. This study attempts to further evaluate the policies taken by Indonesia in order to control pollution in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore due to ship accidents. To overcome this problem, Indonesia as a country of law needs to immediately consider accommodation and integration of policy elements in determining laws and regulations, especially those related to maritime environmental protection law.
