Abstract

Chemistry Education students often engage in laboratory practicums to develop scientific process skills and enhance the meaning of chemistry learning, as seen in the course basic analytical chemistry. Previous research indicates that the basics of analytical chemistry practicum frequently focus solely on confirming basic knowledge, thus only leading to an improvement in basic experimental skills. This study aims to measure the level of meaningful learning achieved through the experiences of chemistry education students in in the basics of analytical chemistry practicum as evidence to improve the practicum curriculum in order to create more meaningful learning. The research method involves both quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches, with quantitative data collected using the Meaningful Learning in the Laboratory Instrument (MLLI), which has been modified to measure students' affective and cognitive experiences after learning in the chemistry laboratory. The study involved 60 third semester students who had completed the basics of analytical chemistry practicum course. The results indicate that all aspects were rated as good, with percentage scores of 67% for affective aspects, 74% for cognitive aspects, and 69% for affective-cognitive aspects, yielding an overall average percentage score of 70%. These findings suggest that chemistry education students have achieved significant meaningful learning through their experiences in the basics of analytical chemistry practicum.

Abstract

ABSTRACTImplementing entrepreneurship as part of the Merdeka Curriculum is considered suboptimal due to the numerous challenges schools face. This is consistent with the survey results among chemistry educators in the Singkawang, which showed that while most have implemented entrepreneurship in their teaching, it has not yet incorporated local wisdom and has not been included in their teaching tools. The purpose of this community service program (PKM) is to enhance educators' ability to develop entrepreneurship-based learning that incorporates local wisdom and to describe educators' responses to the training activities conducted. The method used in this PKM is a training method for 24 chemistry educators in Singkawang, consisting of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the PKM activities showed increased knowledge and helped Singkawang's chemistry educators integrate these two concepts into their teaching.Keywords: Learning Development, Entreprenuership, Local Wisdom  ABSTRAKPelaksanaan kewirausahaan sebagai implementasi kurikulum merdeka dirasa belum optimal dikarenakan terdapat banyak kendala yang harus dihadapi oleh sekolah. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan hasil survei pada pendidik kimia Kota Singkawang yang sebagian besar sudah mengimplementasikan kewirausahaan dalam pembelajarannya akan tetapi belum bermuatan kearifan lokal dan belum dituangkan dalam perangkat pembelajarannya. Tujuan PKM ini ialah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pendidik dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran yang berbasis entrepreneurship bermuatan kearifan lokal serta untuk mendeskripsikan respon pendidik terhadap kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan pada PKM ini ialah metode pelatihan untuk 24 pendidik kimia Kota Singkawang yang terdiri dari 3 tahap. Tahapan yang dilakukan pada PKM ini ialah tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan PKM diketahui dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan membantu pendidik kimia Kota Singkawang dalam mengintegrasikan kedua konsep tersebut ke dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Pembelajaran, Entreprenuership, Kearifan Lokal

Abstract

This service activity is to improve students' learning skills using the Canva application at SMA Negeri 1 Jagoi Babang, Bengkayang Regency (Indonesia – Malaysia Border School). The method of implementing this service uses training and assistance in making products. The evaluation instrument uses survey percentages and is analyzed descriptively. The results of this service show that training activities using the Canva application provide positive benefits and impacts for students, where students can understand the Canva application as an application that can support it in learning activities. Students are able to use this application and produce output in the form of design products, one of which is presentation material.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is a difference in the way males and females encounter conflict to find a resolution in friendship relationships among Social Studies Education students. The research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method using purposive sampling, involving a total of 91 participants who have experienced conflicts, consisting of 26 male students and 65 female students. Data collection utilizes a questionnaire adapted from Johnson, and data analysis employs descriptive statistics. The results indicate that 1) conflict management strategies employed by male and female students in friendship relationships within Social Studies Education predominantly involve collaboration, with an average percentage score of 21.38 for male students and 21.45 for female students, and 2) the research findings based on gender differences show (p > 0.05 = 0.67 > 0.05, t = 0.42, df = 89), indicating no significant difference in conflict management between male and female students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe meaningful learning in basic chemistry practicum of chemistry education students of FKIP UNTAN. The method used in this research is quantitative descrptive method. Quantitative data were collected using Meaningful Learning in the Laboratory Instrument (MLLI) instrument to measure students’ affective and cognitive experiences after learning in the laboratory. This study also used interview guidelines to collect more in-depth information about meaningful learning experiences for chemistry education students in basic chemistry practicum courses. This study involved 51 first semester students of Chemistry Education of FKIP UNTAN who had completed basic chemistry practicum courses, laboratory heads, laboratory assistants,and lecturers teaching basic chemistry practicum courses. The results showed that all aspects were rated as good. With percentage scores of 67% for affective aspects, 75 % for cognitive aspects, and 67% for affective-cognitive aspects, resulting in an overall average score percentage of 72%. Based on these findings, it shows that first semester chemistry education students have achieved good meaningful learning trough their learning experiences in basic chemistry practicum.

Abstract

This study aimed to measure the extent of meaningful learning achieved by students during general chemistry laboratory activities. A descriptive quantitative design was employed with 126 participants, consisting of 51 Chemistry Education and 75 Biology Education students. Data were collected using the Meaningful Learning in the Laboratory Inventory (MLLIv2), which evaluates affective, cognitive, and affective–cognitive aspects. The data were analyzed and categorized into five levels from “very poor” to “very good.” The results showed that most students were in the “very good” category (81–100%) across all aspects, with smaller proportions in the “good” category (61–80%). No students were classified as “fair,” “poor,” or “very poor.” Chemistry Education students achieved slightly higher averages (affective = 91%, cognitive = 93%, affective–cognitive = 91%, overall = 92%) compared to Biology Education students (affective = 85%, cognitive = 89%, affective–cognitive = 89%, overall = 88%). These findings indicate that the laboratory effectively fostered meaningful learning by integrating cognitive understanding with affective engagement. The results also emphasize that meaningful learning is shaped not only by conceptual mastery but also by students’ emotional responses and their ability to connect laboratory experiences with academic and professional goals.

Abstract

Transformasi digital pendidikan menuntut pengelolaan kinerja guru yang efektif, terukur, dan berbasis teknologi. Platform Ruang Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan (Ruang GTK) dikembangkan sebagai sistem digital pengelolaan kinerja guru, namun efektivitas pemanfaatannya dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi digital kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan Platform Ruang GTK dan kompetensi digital kepala sekolah terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan kinerja guru di sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksplanatori. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 48 kepala sekolah dasar negeri di Kecamatan Sekadau Hilir yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan metode Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) menggunakan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Platform Ruang GTK berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan kinerja guru (β = 0,446; p < 0,05). Kompetensi digital kepala sekolah juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan kinerja guru (β = 0,496; p < 0,05). Selain itu, penggunaan Platform Ruang GTK berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi digital kepala sekolah (β = 0,730; p < 0,05), serta memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan kinerja guru melalui kompetensi digital kepala sekolah sebagai variabel mediasi (β = 0,362; p < 0,05). Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa model mampu menjelaskan 76,9% variasi efektivitas pengelolaan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa optimalisasi pemanfaatan Platform Ruang GTK yang didukung oleh kompetensi digital kepala sekolah berperan strategis dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan kinerja guru di sekolah dasar.
