Abstract

The presence of social media and various platforms in digital age had a huge impact on human mental health. Initially, it expands access to information about mental health and allows interaction with anyone, anywhere. However, overuse of social media can increase the risk of depression and anxiety due to comparison and competition among users. To protect well-being and mental health in the digital age, it’s important to strike a balance in using digital tools. More in-depth studies on mental health issues in the digital age are needed to provide insights and promote well-being. It’s also important to pay attention to related research trends to stay relevant. Bibliometric analysis methods were used to show growth patterns, highlight dominant areas of focus, and understand the knowledge dynamics of mental health research trends in the digital age over time. Using a quantitative and statistical approach, the results showed that the most productive author and source were Adrian Aguilera and JMIR Mental Health. The phrase 'pandemic' was the most cited. Research on this topic is mostly conducted on women and adolescents. Word cloud analysis shows the terms 'mental health', 'human', 'female' and 'adolescent' appear frequently in research titles. Recent topics include 'female', 'male', and 'risk factor', with the main focus on humans and mental health. While the most common research focus is on people and mental health itself.

Abstract

The World Bank said that the Citarum River was the most polluted river in the world, which led to safety measures and practical solutions. At the same time, this problem opens up opportunities for ecotourism, but it depends on how involved the people of the Citarum River are. A study looks at the roles that people from Tarumajaya village played in the planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of Lake Cisanti ecotourism. The research is based on a case study of Tarumajaya village, Kertasari sub-district, Bandung Regency, and Lake Cisanti's location. Interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation studies are all ways to collect data. There are three kinds of participation: planning, putting things into action (like protecting the environment and doing other things), and evaluating. This study shows how community involvement could help clean up rivers, restore nature, and make ecotourism stronger. Contribution: The research emphasizes the critical roles that local residents play in all phases of ecotourism development—planning, implementation, and evaluation. This underscores the importance of community engagement in environmental management efforts.

Abstract

Nature school is an educational institution that implements a learning model by nature. This learning model combines exploration and theory to provide balanced skills. This study aims to analyze the efforts to improve student literacy and identify the obstacles faced in its implementation at Nature School (Sekolah Alam) of Bandung. This research specifically discusses the effectiveness of literacy activities in the learning model with nature. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study type. The results show that literacy activities in the nature learning model help improve students reading and writing skills. Each level has different achievements, but with the same process, including reading literature to gain initial knowledge, exploration of the surrounding environment to broaden horizons, and application of the results of reading and exploration into writing. The obstacles in this process include differences in student abilities, where there are students who read quickly and slowly, as well as difficulties in communicating what has been read and vice versa. Contribution: This study highlights the innovative integration of nature-based learning with literacy development, demonstrating that engaging students in their environment can significantly enhance their reading and writing skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses transfer pengetahuan pada industri kreatif di The Hallway Space Pasar Kosambi agar dapat memberikan kontribusi yag signifikan terhadap perkembangan edukasi untuk membangun sebuah industri kreatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dugunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil peneliyian menunjukkan bahwa trasnfer pengetahuan pada industri kreatif di The Hallway Space melalui proses secara sosialisasi, eksternalisasi, kombinasi, dan internalisasi. Pada sosialisasi, dilakukan komunikasi secara langsung antara pencetus The Hallway Space (Rilly Robbi Gusadi) dengan penggiat industri kreatif Wear Bob (Faizal Budiman). Komunikasi tersebut menggunakan model komunikasi David. K. Berlo dengan unsur komunikasi, yaitu sumber, pesan, saluran, dan penerima. Pada proses eksternalisasi, berlangsung secara bertahap dari adanya proses sosialisasi. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya realisasi ide yang didapatkan dari hasil sosialisasi, yaitu membuat sampel industri kreatif yang akan dikembangkan. Pada kombinasi, menghasilkan berdirinya bangunan sampel industri kreatif yang dilakukan menggunakan 3 tahap pembangunan. Pada proses internalisasi, konsep atau ide awal dikembangkan menjadi inovasi-inovasi baru. Dengan demikian, proses transfer pengetahuan sendiri adalah proses berulang dari sosialisasi (tacit – tacit), eksternalisasi (tacit – eksplisit), kombinasi (eksplisit – eksplisit), hingga internalisasi (eksplisit – tacit) dan akan terus berulang ke sosialisasi kembali.

Abstract

The development of libraries from conventional to digital-based libraries has brought significant impacts on the way library services are provided and accessed by users. However, along with its benefits, digital libraries face new challenges related to data security and user privacy such as effective protection of personal data. This research aims to analyze security and privacy threats in digital library services and identify the implementation of security technologies and privacy policies in this context. This research uses the narrative literature review method to analyze 12 references relevant to the topic of information security and user privacy in digital library services. This research has security and privacy risks involved in digital library services, how security technologies are implemented, and how privacy regulations and policies impact the situation. Results show that virus attacks and brute force attacks are some of the security threats of digital libraries. To protect sensitive user data, the use of security technologies such as data encryption and the use of firewalls are also very important. Privacy regulations and policies such as GDPR go a long way in helping digital libraries maintain the privacy of their users. This analysis enhances our understanding of the problems and solutions in data security management and user privacy in digital library services. Thus, this research highlights the importance of managing information security and user privacy in the context of digital library services to ensure optimal protection of sensitive user data.

Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by the knowledge-sharing activities among librarians, which is an essential aspect for a special library to develop with various innovations and new ideas in the future according to user needs. Methods: The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach and uses the Knowledge Spiral theory with SECI Knowledge Management model. The research data were obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation review. The subjects or informants in this study consist of six individuals, including coordinators and librarians at the BRIN Library. Purpose: The study aims to understand the process of knowledge sharing among librarians that takes place in the BRIN Library as part of knowledge management. Findings: The research findings indicate that the process of knowledge sharing among librarians at the BRIN Library comprises four stages of knowledge conversion, which are socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization. Conclusion: The implementation of knowledge sharing activities at the BRIN Library begins with the disseminating of knowledge, conducted both in-person and online, absorbing and storing knowledge acquired from previous knowledge sharing activities, processing existing knowledge, and disseminating knowledge obtained and processed through knowledge sharing activities at the BRIN Library. Keywords: Knowledge Sharing, Librarian, National Research and Innovation Agency Library (BRIN). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ABSTRAK Aktivitas Knowledge Sharing Antar Pustakawan di Perpustakaan Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) Latar Belakang: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena kegiatan knowledge sharing antar pustakawan merupakan aspek penting untuk perpustakaan khusus agar dapat mengembangkan perpustakaan khusus dengan berbagai inovasi dan gagasan baru kedepannya sesuai dengan kebutuhan user. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan menggunakan teori Spiral Pengetahuan dengan model SECI Knowledge Management. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu koordinator dan pustakawan di Perpustakaan BRIN yang berjumlah enam orang. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami proses knowledge sharing antar pustakawan yang dilakukan di Perpustakaan BRIN dalam proses pengelolaan pengetahuan. Temuan: Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses knowledge sharing antar pustakawan pada Perpustakaan BRIN meliputi empat tahap pengelolaan pengetahuan yaitu sosialisasi, eksternalisasi, kombinasi dan internalisasi. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan knowledge sharing yang diimplementasikan di Perpustakaan BRIN diawali dengan menyampaikan pengetahuan baik kegiatan ini dilakukan secara luring maupun daring, menyerap dan menyimpan pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan knowledge sharing yang telah dilaksanakan, mengolah pengetahuan yang dimiliki dan menyebarluaskan kembali pengetahuan yang telah didapat dan diolah dari kegiatan knowledge sharing yang dilakukan di Perpustakaan Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN). Abstract

Circulation service is a service to the circulation of library materials owned by the library. Generally regarding member registration, borrowing, returns, extension of time, and making statistics. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the role of librarians and innovation in circulation services in college libraries. This study uses the method of literature study or narrative literature review from five references originating from the Google Scholar database, spanning 2013-2023. Based on the results of the analysis, there are several problems in circulation services in tertiary institutions. This problem is usually related to budgetary funds, human resources, lack of information and technology systems, user behavior, and management of the circulation service system. In this case, librarians have an important role to be responsible for managing, operating, and developing information systems and circulation services, as well as various obstacles and problems in libraries. Therefore, innovation and collaboration are needed in tertiary library circulation services with careful consideration from a cost-to-utilization perspective, as well as periodic evaluations to test the success and effectiveness of these innovations.Keywords: College Library, Circulation Services, Librarian

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine how the role of interpersonal communication between librarians and users in libraries through the narrative literature review method with four references taken through the Google Scholer and Dimensions database from 2013 to 2023. The results of this study show that librarians have an important role in interpersonal communication between librarians and users in libraries.  Because interpersonal or interpersonal communication is the delivery of information or a message involving two or more people through direct interaction so that it may get verbal or nonverbal reactions that are useful in establishing positive good relationships between librarians and users, avoiding conflicts that may occur due to misunderstandings, and avoiding users from negative perceptions about librarians.  In which there are often obstacles such as misperceptions created by users to librarians or vice versa, lack of librarian sensitivity to user needs, and information that has not been conveyed properly.  however, it can be straightened out by effective interpersonal communication applied with a librarian skill in understanding the meaning of equality, positivity, supportiveness, empathy, and openness. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pustakawan  komunikasi interpersonal antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka memiliki peran penting dalam perpustakaan. karena komunikasi interpersonal atau antar pribadi merupakan penyampaian informasi atau suatu pesan melibatkan dua orang atau lebih melalui interaksi secara langsung sehingga mungkin mendapatkan reaksi secara verbal maupun nonverbal yang bermanfaat dalam menjalin hubungan baik yang postitif antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka, menghindari konflik yang mungkin terjadi sebab kesalahpahaman, dan menghindarkan pemustaka dari presepsi negative mengenai pustakawan. Yang dimana didalamnya sering terjadi hambatan seperti kesalahan presepsi yang diciptakan pemustaka terhadap pustakawan atau sebaliknya, kurangnya kepekaan pustakawan terhadap kebutuhan pemustaka, dan informasi-informasi yang belum tersampaikan dengan baik. namun hal tersebut dapat diluruskan dengan komunikasi interpersonal efektif yang diterapkan dengan suatu keterampilan pustakawan dalam memahami arti dari adanya kesetaraan (equality), Rasapositif (positiveness), Dukungan (supportiveness) Empati (empathy), dan Keterbukaan (openness).Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Interpersonal; Pemustaka; Pustakawan

Abstract

Jatmika Reading House is a community library that actively teaches environmental literacy through various activities, one of which is eco-enzyme making. This study aims to explore the role of volunteers in eco-enzyme making, identify the challenges faced during the activity, and understand the motivation of volunteers in contributing to Jatmika Reading House's activities. This research used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The informants in this study were two volunteers who were selected through a purposive sampling technique due to their direct involvement in eco-enzyme-making activity. Data collection techniques included interviews, indirect observation, documentation, and literature review. This research is important because although environmental education has developed, there are still few studies that specifically discuss the role of volunteers in teaching environmental literacy to children. In fact, volunteers have a strategic role in introducing the concept of sustainability and building environmental awareness through community activities. The results showed that volunteers acted as facilitators, mentors, instructors, encouragers, and organizers of children's participation. They faced various challenges, such as unconducive conditions due to limited tools and materials and an inadequate number of volunteers, resulting in less optimal activity management. Volunteers' motivations varied, ranging from the satisfaction of sharing knowledge and commitment to improving community literacy to personal happiness in social interaction. The findings from this study are expected to provide new insights to strengthen environmental literacy programs involving volunteers.

Abstract

The Pabukon Ngadongeng Community Reading Park is a library that has storytelling services to enhance children's literacy and cultural knowledge. Volunteers assisted the Community Reading Park to develop children's creativity and imagination with stories. This research aimed to determine the meaning of storytelling among volunteers at the Pabukon Ngadongeng Community Reading Park by analyzing the experience and meaning of storytelling. The research method used qualitative with a phenomenology approach. The study result showed that the experience of storytelling for volunteers consisted of expanding children's story reading, interaction with readers, language development, cultivating imagination, creativity, entertainment, and sharing knowledge. The meaning of storytelling in the volunteers consisted of volunteers' motivation, the impact of storytelling on volunteers, the impact of storytelling on the relationship with readers, contributions of storytelling to volunteers' personal development, and the involvement of volunteers in the development of the Community Reading Park. It also included challenges and obstacles faced by volunteers in storytelling, volunteers' perception of the impact of storytelling on children's education and literacy, meaningful storytelling, teaching without preaching and preserving cultural stories. In conclusion, volunteers have assisted Pabukon Ngadongeng Community Reading Park with storytelling services for children. Children have imagination and creativity, and their language development improves. Volunteers provide fun learning experiences for children through storytelling, including practicing reading and writing literacy programs for children.
