Abstract

Tourism is an important aspect of economic activity, especially in Indonesia which has superior natural resource potential. However, there is a gap between tourism potential and the quality of human resources in driving the tourism economy, resulting in low tourism competitiveness compared to other countries. This research aims to find the best formula for building a model for improving organizational performance and competitiveness in the hotel industry through a strategic human resource management approach. How much organizational performance is achieved depends on the performance of its people, regardless of the shape, size, goals and characteristics of the organization. In the context of research, some research results also still contain disagreements regarding the understanding of Human Capital Management, which is generally widely understood as performance measurement, as well as the Adaptive E-Procurement system. This research uses quantitative methods with partial least squares (PLS) analysis tools. In this case, the researchers took samples based on the total population of 19 five-star hotels and 94 4-star hotels, according to the Slovin formula, namely 88 samples. The results showed that HCACS-X2 had a significant positive effect on OPC-Y. The HCACS-X2 variable against OPC-Y has an original sample of 0.382 in a positive direction, meaning that the better the HCACS-X2, the OPC-Y will also increase by 0.382. HCACS-X2 has a significant positive effect on OPC-Y through AE-PS-X3. The HCACS-X2 variable against OPC-Y via EPSA has an original sample of 0.352 in a positive direction, meaning that the better the HCACS-X2 via AE-PS-X3, the OPC-Y will also increase by 0.352.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in geotourism within the Aspiring Pangandaran Geopark through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital marketing using a participatory training model. MSMEs in the region face challenges such as limited digital innovation, inadequate technological access, and low capability in social media-based promotion. To address these issues, the program applied a participatory approach and speculative design thinking involving MSME owners, academics, and tourism destination managers in collaborative learning. The training consisted of three main modules: (1) digital literacy and cybersecurity for entrepreneurs, (2) the use of AI in digital marketing strategies (AI-driven storytelling, content generation, and consumer analytics), and (3) creative promotional artifact development based on local geodiversity and biodiversity. The results indicate significant improvements in participants’ ability to create digital content, understand online market opportunities, and utilize basic AI tools (chatbots, image generators, and social media analytics) to expand promotional reach. The participatory training model demonstrated positive social impacts, including strengthened MSME community networks, increased visibility of geopark-based products, and contributions to sustainable local economic development. The findings confirm that integrating AI and digital literacy represents an innovative strategy for community-based MSME empowerment in geopark areas.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study investigates the influence of transformational leadership on innovative work behaviour among higher education lecturers, utilizing job satisfaction and employee engagement as dual mediating variables. The study aims to provide a comprehensive framework explaining how leadership stimulates innovation through motivational and psychological pathways in academic settings. Methodology: A quantitative research design was employed involving 206 lecturers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the structural relationships. Validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure the robustness of the instrument. Main Findings: The results reveal that transformational leadership significantly enhances job satisfaction, employee engagement, and innovative work behaviour. Crucially, the analysis confirms that both job satisfaction and employee engagement act as significant mediators. These findings imply that transformational leaders foster innovation not only directly but effectively by boosting lecturers’ psychological well-being and engagement. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the literature by establishing a dual-mediation model that simultaneously integrates job satisfaction and employee engagement. Unlike previous studies that often examine these mediators separately, this research offers a holistic view of the psychological mechanisms linking leadership to innovation in the higher education context. The study relies on cross-sectional data from a specific higher education sector, which limits the ability to draw causal inferences over time. Future research is encouraged to employ longitudinal designs and expand the scope to diverse geographical regions to enhance generalizability.

Abstract

This study positions Horenso, which consists of hokoku, renraku, and sodan, as an indicator of employee performance rather than merely an organizational communication pattern in the garment industry. The research was conducted at PT Hini Daiki Indonesia, Tasikmalaya Regency, which has experienced a decline in productivity during the 2024–2025 period. A quantitative approach with a causal design was applied, involving 100 lower management employees selected as respondents. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with the SmartPLS application. The findings indicate that the measurement model demonstrates good validity and reliability, while the structural model shows strong explanatory power. The analysis confirms that Kaizen work culture has a significant effect on Horenso performance, as does work competence, which includes technical, managerial, social, cognitive, and innovative aspects. Furthermore, Kaizen work culture significantly influences morality and spirituality, which in turn enhance Horenso performance. Mediation testing reveals that morality and spirituality play an essential role in channeling the influence of Kaizen work culture and work competence on Horenso performance. These findings emphasize the necessity of synergy between Kaizen, competence enhancement, and the internalization of moral and spiritual values in Horenso practices through reporting, information sharing, and responsive consultation.

Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped human resource management (HRM), giving rise to digital HR practices, workflow automation and innovation-ecosystem approaches. However, the literature on Digital HRM, electronic HRM (e-HRM), and innovation ecosystems remains scattered across disciplines and themes, leaving the field's intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and future directions only partially understood. This study reviews and maps research on digital human resource management, workflow automation, and innovation ecosystems published between 2020 and 2025 using a systematic literature review (SLR) combined with bibliometric analysis and following the PRISMA 2020 framework for a transparent and reproducible selection process. An initial search of the Scopus database returned 2,163 documents for review. After applying predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 244 journal articles were retained and analysed in Bibliometrix and Biblioshiny to examine publication trends, influential authors, journals, countries, and institutions, along with keyword co-occurrence and thematic structures. Research activity rose sharply over the period, at an annual growth rate of 23.84%, with the conceptual core of the field centring on e-HRM, digital HRM, digital transformation, workflow automation and innovation ecosystems. The thematic map identified technology, Industry 4.0, Society 5.0, and helix-based innovation models as the dominant driving themes. The Triple Helix and Quintuple Helix frameworks are well established, whereas Pentahelix-related work remains underexplored and is still emerging. This study offers a comprehensive picture of the intellectual landscape of digital HR transformation and innovation-ecosystem research and points to a clear opportunity for future work: bringing together workflow automation, digital HR practices, and Pentahelix-based collaboration to support sustainable workforce transformation and organizational innovation.
