Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the impact of digital technology on lecturers’ performance in higher education institutions. The analysis focuses on five key indicators: learning enhancement, teaching effectiveness, academic leadership, infrastructure readiness, and the availability of syllabi and lesson plans. Methodology: A mixed-methods approach was adopted, involving both quantitative and qualitative data collection. Questionnaires were distributed to 64 lecturers, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with selected participants. The instruments assessed lecturers’ attitudes, behaviors, and the extent of digital technology adoption across teaching, research, and community service activities. A Likert scale was used to measure the level of digital technology acceptance. Main Findings: The findings show that although many lecturers are still in the process of understanding and adapting to digital transformation, the use of digital technology has significantly improved their effectiveness and efficiency. It has also increased learning flexibility and student engagement through more interactive and accessible educational environments. Key supporting factors identified include institutional infrastructure, academic leadership, and supportive policies. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge by exploring the multifaceted influence of digital technology on lecturers' performance. It highlights the critical role of institutional support in facilitating sustainable digital integration in higher education, particularly in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Purpose this research is aimed at building a hypothetical model regarding the influence of competency level, job satisfaction level, strength of employer branding and employee engagement on the performance level of midwives in Tasikmalaya City. The results of the research can be applied by the Health Service to achieve increased performance of midwife health workers in order to fulfill one of the people's basic rights, namely the right to obtain maximum health services. Theoretical  Framework: In this research, organizational behavior is used as a grand theory. Robbins (2022) revealed that organizational behavior is the study of what people do in an organization and how their behavior affects organizational performance. Organizational behavior specifically pays attention to situations related to work, so that organizational behavior emphasizes behavior related to problems such as work, absenteeism, job turnover, productivity, human performance, and management. The research method used is an explanatory survey approach to explain the relationship between variables through hypothesis testing in the field. Research that uses descriptive surveys and explanatory survey methods is carried out by collecting information from samples directly at the scene of the incident (empirical) through questionnaires with the aim of finding out the opinions of the samples regarding the research problem. And this research uses the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling analysis technique (PLS-SEM), to model many variables in research. Originality/Value: The Health Service to achieve increased performance of midwife health workers in order to fulfill one of the people's basic rights, namely the right to obtain maximum health services. that the performance that has been carried out by the midwives is in accordance with the number of activity cycles that must be completed and in accordance with the SOP at the relevant agency. Meanwhile, the lowest index is in the work quality indicator dimension in item 2 regarding the level of work results based on employee skills in completing work and employee skills in carrying out tasks assigned to them with a percentage score of 69.59. This shows a lack of skills, knowledge and the workload given makes the work results given by midwives less than optimal

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The rapid advancement of digital technology demands strong digital competence, particularly among civil servants in educational institutions. This study aims to examine the influence of digital competence on civil servants’ performance, investigating both direct effects and indirect pathways through employee engagement and interpersonal communication. Methodology: A quantitative survey method was employed involving 150 civil servants working in public educational institutions in Riau, Indonesia. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Main Findings: The results indicate that digital competence has a significant positive impact on performance, both directly and indirectly. Employee engagement and interpersonal communication serve as effective mediators that enhance the relationship between digital competence and performance. The findings suggest that civil servants who possess strong digital skills, coupled with high engagement and effective interpersonal communication, demonstrate better job performance. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers a novel contribution by integrating psychological (employee engagement) and relational (interpersonal communication) dimensions as mediators in the relationship between digital competence and performance. While previous studies have focused mainly on technological aspects, this research highlights the importance of human and social factors in driving performance in digitally transforming institutions. The implication of these findings points to the need for a more holistic approach to digital transformation policies in the public sector, where capacity building should not only address technical skills but also foster engagement and communication abilities among employees.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of digital competence on the performance of Aparatur Sipil Negara or ASN or civil servants within educational institutions in Siak Regency, Indonesia. Amidst growing demands for digital transformation in public service, technical skills alone are often insufficient without the support of relational competencies such as communication. Grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research examines how interpersonal communication mediates the relationship between digital competence and ASN performance. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, involving 50 ASN respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires adapted from validated instruments, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that digital competence has a significant direct effect on ASN performance, while also indirectly enhancing performance through improved interpersonal communication. The mediating role of communication was confirmed as statistically significant, suggesting that digital competence promotes relational fluency, which in turn facilitates better task execution and coordination. These findings offer both theoretical and practical insights, particularly in the context of local public institutions in developing regions. Theoretically, the study expands the TAM framework by incorporating human interaction factors. Practically, it recommends that digital training for ASN should include not only technical modules but also communication skills development. This study concludes that sustainable digital transformation in the public sector requires simultaneous investment in both technology and people—particularly in building communicative capacity as the foundation of effective governance.

The study aims to analyze risk management to improve employee performance. It uses the direct observation method, namely by obtaining data directly at the company, and the literature study method, which gathers information by collecting literacy and reviewing the literature results based on the facts. When the risk is successfully suppressed as small as possible, it can reduce the potential danger posed and provide a sense of security and improve employee performance and productivity in working in the company. Risk Management on the employees' performance in PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk, Cilacap-Central Java, has a substantial and significant influence.
