Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the academic supervision process carried out by the principal in an effort to improve teacher competence at SMA IT Cordova 3 Tangerang. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research highlights four main aspects of academic supervision: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were thematically analyzed using triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the supervision planning was systematically designed and oriented toward teachers’ needs, although there were still challenges in explicitly integrating spiritual aspects and the integrated Islamic context. The implementation of supervision reflected a reflective and dialogical approach, although it has not been fully optimized in the use of technology and differentiation of approaches based on teachers’ characteristics. Evaluation was conducted participatively, but has not yet fully impacted practice changes due to limitations in systematic reflection and follow-up. The follow-up of supervision, although not yet fully structured, has begun to be directed toward community-based professional development strategies and the individual needs of teachers. This study concludes that the effectiveness of academic supervision is greatly influenced by the principal’s leadership quality as a learning facilitator and professional coach. These findings are expected to serve as a reference in developing a contextual, humanistic, and transformative model of academic supervision in integrated Islamic schools. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of academic supervision conducted by supervisors in improving the competence of the principal of MTs Negeri 1 Bandung. The research focuses on four main aspects: supervision planning, supervision implementation, supervision evaluation, and follow-up supervision. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that although academic supervision is carried out with the goal of enhancing the principal’s competence, shortcomings remain in the planning and implementation, which tend to focus more on administrative aspects rather than on developing the principal’s academic leadership competence. Similarly, the evaluation and follow-up of supervision are more concerned with document completeness than with improving the quality of academic leadership. This study recommends adopting a more needs-based, collaborative, and reflective approach to supervision to increase its effectiveness and support the professional development of the principal. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at the Republic of Indonesia Defense University (Unhan), focusing on the planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up actions carried out by the university to improve the quality of education. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of SPMI at Unhan and to identify the challenges encountered at each stage. The research method employed is a qualitative approach, using interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of the study show that although Unhan has demonstrated a strong commitment to planning and implementing the SPMI, several obstacles remain, such as limited resources, lack of stakeholder involvement, and challenges in developing a competency-based curriculum and teaching. Evaluation and follow-up actions were also found to be less effective, as they tended to focus more on administrative aspects rather than academic development. Therefore, this study suggests that the university improve stakeholder engagement, enhance resource management, and optimize outcome-based evaluation and follow-up actions to sustainably improve the quality of education. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the academic supervision process carried out by supervisors in improving the competencies of kindergarten principals at Legokjawa Pangandaran. The focus of this research includes four main aspects: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of academic supervision by the supervisors. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of academic supervision activities conducted at the school. The results of the study show that academic supervision was conducted systematically and collaboratively. Supervision planning was developed based on needs analysis and carried out together with the principals, taking into account the school context and previous evaluation results. Supervision implementation was conducted intensively and oriented toward professional development rather than mere assessment, using dialogical and reflective approaches. Supervision evaluation was carried out comprehensively and served as a means for principals to engage in self-assessment and improve their performance. Follow-up actions were conducted continuously through guidance, monitoring, and reinforcement of the principals’ programs, thus directly contributing to enhancing principals’ competencies in instructional and managerial leadership. The study concludes that academic supervision carried out in a planned, participatory, and continuous manner can serve as a strategic instrument to improve the professional capacity of principals, particularly in the context of early childhood education institutions. Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in addressing bullying within SMP Negeri 59 in Bandung City. The phenomenon of bullying among students is increasingly prevalent and has become a serious concern due to its impacts on students' psychological and academic development. BK teachers play a strategic role in providing guidance, counseling, and effective interventions to reduce and prevent bullying behaviors. The research method employed is qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects of the study are BK teachers and students who have experienced bullying at SMP Negeri 59 in Bandung. The findings indicate that the implementation of BK programs in combating bullying has been carried out through various activities such as individual and group counseling sessions, character training, and anti-bullying socialization among students. However, there are challenges such as limited supporting facilities and time constraints faced by BK teachers. Furthermore, the success of the implementation heavily depends on the level of cooperation among BK teachers, students, and school staff. These findings suggest the need for enhancing the competence of BK teachers and strengthening collaboration with relevant stakeholders to improve the effectiveness of bullying prevention and intervention efforts. This research is expected to serve as a reference for developing more effective BK programs in addressing bullying in junior high schools.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi peran Guru Pembimbing Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dalam mengatasi bullying di lingkungan SMP Negeri 59 Kota Bandung. Fenomena bullying di kalangan siswa semakin meningkat dan menjadi perhatian serius karena dampaknya terhadap perkembangan psikologis dan akademik siswa. Guru Pembimbing BK memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan bimbingan, konseling, serta intervensi yang efektif guna mengurangi dan mencegah tindakan bullying. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah Guru Pembimbing BK dan siswa yang mengalami bullying di SMP Negeri 59 Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program BK dalam mengatasi bullying telah dilakukan melalui berbagai kegiatan seperti sesi konseling individu dan kelompok, pelatihan karakter, serta sosialisasi anti-bullying kepada siswa. Namun, terdapat kendala seperti kurangnya fasilitas pendukung dan keterbatasan waktu yang dimiliki Guru BK. Selain itu, keberhasilan implementasi sangat bergantung pada tingkat kerjasama antara Guru BK, siswa, dan pihak sekolah. Temuan ini menyarankan perlunya peningkatan kompetensi Guru BK dan penguatan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak terkait agar upaya pencegahan dan penanganan bullying dapat berjalan lebih optimal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan program BK yang lebih efektif dalam mengatasi bullying di sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

Kemitraan sekolah dengan orang tua siswa dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di sekolah merupakan aspek penting yang tidak terpisahkan dalam pengembangan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah, khususnya dalam perkembangan dan pengembangan karakter anak. Kemitraan sekolah dan orang tua siswa sangat urgen untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung bagi siswa. Penelitian Kemitraan sekolah dengan orang tua siswa, bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi dan model kemitraan yang dibangun berdasarkan prinsip dasar yang dilaksanakan dan dijaga oleh TK Aisyiyah Qurrota Ayyun, diantaranya mencakup, komunikasi yang terbuka, keterlibatan aktif di sekolah dan dirumah yang selaras, mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter positif moral dan agama, adanya refleksi bersama kedua belah pihak, pembentukan lingkungan yang mendukung terhadap pengembangan karakter, sosial emosional dan prestasi akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta melibatkan kepala sekolah TK, guru TK, dan orang tua siswa sebagai informan utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa membangun kemitraan Sekolah dengan Orang tua siswa dengan pengelolaan dimanajemen dengan baik dari perencanaan dan formulasi yang tepat dan matang, pengorganisasian yang terstruktur dan jelas tugas pokoknya, pelaksanaan yang konsisten dan komitmen semua semua pihak, dan pengawasan yang berkala dengan refleksi dan tindak lanjut program dalam membangun kemitraan sekolah dan orang tua siswa TK dalam pengembangan Karakter Anak terbukti efektif berjalan dengan baik di TK Aisyiyah Qurrota Ayyun. Secara keseluruhan, implementasi Strategi dan Model kemitraan yang dilaksanakan TK Aisyiyah Qurrota Ayyun terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan dan mengembangkan Karakter siswa.

Abstract

The implementation of career guidance can steer students' career planning. Career planning among grade XII high school students is not yet mature. This study aims to analyze the implementation of career guidance in developing career planning for high school students at SMA Ma’arif Bandung. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Findings indicate that the program effectively enhances students’ understanding of their potential, career opportunities, and decision-making skills. Prior to guidance, 70-85% of students were confused and lacked knowledge about the world of work, but post-guidance, 80-90% could formulate clear career goals and concrete steps, with an average improvement of 50-60% in goal clarity, knowledge, and confidence. Supporting factors include principal support and external collaborations, while challenges encompass limited time, resources, and parental pressure. Recommendations include increasing session frequency, counselor training, and technology utilization. This study underscores the importance of structured career guidance in preparing students for post-high school transitions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the task of making sausage sandwiches for mildly mentally disabled students in grade VII of SMPLB at SLB Madhani, Garut Regency. The aim is to support their life skills so that they become more structured and effective. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive method, where data was obtained through direct observation in the classroom, in-depth interviews with key informants, documentation of learning activities, focus group discussions (FGD), and validation by experts. The findings of the study indicate that teachers have implemented various learning strategies, including demonstration (showing how to cook), direct instruction, drill (repeated practice), individualized instruction according to students' needs, and the use of special learning media such as videos, modules, and visual aids. Challenges encountered in the implementation of learning include limitations in supporting facilities and infrastructure, human resources, and limited learning time allocation. The results of this study are expected to contribute positively to the development of task analysis learning methods and strategies for students with mild intellectual disabilities, particularly at the Special Junior High School (SMPLB) level. In addition, this study can also be used as a reference for schools and the government in designing policies for providing more optimal facilities and training for educators and students with special needs.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as the oldest Islamic educational institutions which are considered traditional and which are considered closed to innovation. However, they must be ready to face the challenges of the times and are required to develop the potential of students with the power of knowledge and technology through cultural management at Islamic boarding schools to increase the intelligence of students at Roudlotut Tholibin Sirau Islamic Boarding School, Kemranjen, Banyumas. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through documentation, observation, interviews. From this study, the results were obtained that in an effort to improve the three intelligences (intellectual, emotional, and spiritual) which are carried out continuously and consistently through formal education in Islamic boarding schools with good management with a benchmark of success, namely alumni continuing their studies at tertiary institutions both in country or abroad. Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of digitalization in the technological era which require speed of service, honesty, and the demands of the times. This is supported by the Director General of Elementary and Primary Education through the Circular of the Director General of Elementary and Basic Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture Number: 08/D/KR/2017 concerning filling in the final grades of report cards, US and USBN in Dapodik, especially at the high school level, so all high schools that have been appointed to use e-reports starting in 2017 must insert and upload data on report cards, US, and USBN, including SMA Negeri 1 Cilacap. This study aims to obtain an overview and analysis of the planning, organization, and implementation of learning assessment management in a bold manner at SMA Kabupaten Cilacap (Case Study at SMAN 1 Cilacap). SMAN 1 Cilacap is one of the schools that has implemented e-reports at the high school level of around 1,400 (Total SMA in Indonesia 13,000 schools) and the reporting. The method used in this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was conducted by implementing the management principles of G.R. Terry, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising the assessment and reporting of student learning outcomes by using IT. The research method used is a qualitative approach. In conclusion, at all stages of management, planning, organizing, and carrying out assessment and reporting of learning outcomes has been carried out together with the school element approach, coordinated by the school through a curriculum team that collaborates with school management, school development teams, assisted by deputy principals, and curriculum teams , as well as with all the teachers. The obstacles faced, namely HR and technical constraints and can be overcome with assistance by the IT team together with the teachers. In its implementation, technical problems usually occur at the beginning of use. Keywords: management, assessment, courage.
